Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's another jubile phone frank Mornings on the twenties.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Hello.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
Hi, this is Pete Deakins. I'm calling from resorts in
Cancun and I was looking for Frankie.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Yes, Hi, it's me.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Hi mister. How are you doing today?

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Doing great? Doing great? Looking forward to our stay.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Yes, going over some reservation stuff today and saw you're
booking for Thanksgiving week. Looks like a family trip down
to Mexico for the holiday.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Yes, it is. We're very excited about reading. My first
big trip is a family.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Oh wonderful, your first time. That's great. I'm calling actually
to speak with you about something because whoever took your
reservation I don't know if you remember their name.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
No, no, not Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Well they made a little bit of an error and
we are actually overbooked on that week, so you do
not have a booking at the hotel.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
I'm sorry, excuse me?

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Yes, I know this is for your family vacation and Thanksgiving.
You just told me it's your first one you've ever
done as a family, and it's in beautiful Cancun at
our fabulous resort. And whoever took your reservation messed up
and we are overbooked. So you will not have rooms
at the all inclusive resort that yeah, you've been trying to.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Yeah, no, no, no, See, I booked this year ago,
so I was and I specifically had about the overbook
policy then, and I was told not to worry about it.
I requested it in writing, and I think I've got
an email somewhere around here. Then I would have to
find out. But I'm you know, I'm in.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
You sound obviously a little bit upset about this, and
I want you to let you know that I already
took it upon myself because I knew this would be
upsetting to go ahead and upgrade you. So I'm calling
with a bit of an upgrade.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Okay, okay, all.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Right, Yes you are going to be saying somewhere else,
but it is fab a liss.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Yeah. Is this a different room in the same place
or a different resort? Like, like, what kind of upgrade.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Is It's a whole different vibe, a whole different place.
I call it Casa de Pete.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
What I've never heard of that? What is that? Exactly?

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Will? My name is Pete Eakins. And because I feel
bad that we screwed this up for you, I have
a duplex and you guys get to stay in the
back of my house.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Wait wait, wait, wait, wait wait wait, I'm going from
a resort to your house.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
You're going from the all inclusive resort. Yes, Casa de
Pete has all the things you would need. We've got
a little studio back there, there's a hot plate.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
And yeah, this sounds like you keckt up my reservation.
And I have a real problem with this right now.
So either you give me back my money or you're
going to be here for the lawyer.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Just I just want you to hear me out a
little bit. Okay, You'll have fabulous amenities at Casada Pete,
and I really would like you to hear about them.
It's also off the beaten path. I'm about twenty miles
inland from where the hotel is, so it's a little
bit of a journey.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
You expect me to go from being right on the
water to be twenty miles away and be cool with
this And with towels that you bought at Target. This
is ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
Hey, are Mars's Stewart collection towels?

Speaker 2 (03:24):
I don't care if there's snoop fogy dogs, mores, the
Stewart crossover towels. This is too quick both so either
you get me my money back or you get me
my room. Those are your two options. There's no way
I'm staying in somebody's house twenty miles away with my family.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
We don't have a pull. But I do have my
daughter Patricia, who stays with me, and she can hose
you guys down whenever you get hot.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
You can get me to go from a hole in
a beach that you brought a hosing this down. Clearly
you're a idiot, So do me a favor and get
me whoever your boss is so I can fix this
with somebody who actually knows what's going on.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
It sounds like you're upset about this.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Oh he sounds yeah, it sounds you're lucky I'm not
there personally.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Okay, well, then I'll let you know that there's a
prank phone call now because I don't want to upset
you anymore. What this is actually Jubel from the Jubil
Show doing a phone prank on you and your wife
set you up. But what she said that you guys
booked a family vacation for Thanksgiving for the first time,
and you were super excited about it, so yeah, she
wanted me.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
To mess with you. I am.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
I'm sorry. CASAP does not exist.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
I'm definitely good too. I'm a drinking on this week,
wake

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Up every morning with jubile phone pranks.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
