Channing Tatum's decade long dream of playing a superhero Gambit
finally came to fruition in Deadpool and Wolverine, and Channing's
performance left no question about the card slinging characters in
New Orleans roots, as his Cajun accent was particularly dripping
in Garlic Butter to the point where he was occasionally unintelligible,
and Channing now wants to make it clear that was
by design. He tells Access Hollywood. There's very little improv
on set, and the Cajun dialect is a very particular one.

I grew up in Mississippi. My dad is from New Orleans,
so I grew up around it. But I've never tried
to recreate it. We actually intended it to be somewhat unintelligible.
