Lola Young rocketed to fame thanks to her song Messi
to in large parts to how listeners can relate to
the song's vulnerability an unflinching message, and Lola is where
the song's affectiveness because Messi's lyrics can even impact her
when she hears it, telling enemy, I just wrote it
from a really personal place, and it can sometimes be
retriggering to hear Messi because it was so intense. I'm

out of that place now and out of that difficult
time in my life, but I know it's just a
relatable song. A lot of people don't feel like they're
enough for somebody, they don't feel like they'll ever win.
Don't be scared of putting those things down on a

can be the most celebrated little Young there.
