While Patrick Schwarzenegger has been acting for a few years now,
his career has really taken off since his breakout role
in the most recent season of White Lotus, but it
hasn't come without criticism over Patrick even landing the role,
with claims the only reason he got it was because
of his dad being Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Patrick just admitted
to Variety that White Lotus's creator, Mike White expressed after
casting him he feared that's exactly what happened. Patrick says,

Mike said, it comes with big baggage, the idea when
you have successful parents like I do, there's an added
level of what other people think. They did care about that.
People said I got the role because of my mom
and dad. It took a while for me to get
to a point where I was less worried about living
in my dad's shadow versus wanting to handle my career
