Alex Warren's debut album, You'll Be all Right Kid, finally
arrives this week, and like much of his prior music,
its songs won't shy away from tackling difficult subjects, namely
grief and hardship, as Alex has already lost both parents
despite being only twenty four, and endured a challenging relationship
with his mom that he's still processing. But Alex thinks

massive impact is because he doesn't shy away from singing
from the heart about his pain. He tells Rolling Stone,
I felt like not many people write music about grief,
and not a lot of people want to talk about
daunting truths. People like my music so much because I'm
very honest, but the things that I've gone through and
these are songs to help them, but also heavily applicable
by anyone, no matter how rich or poor you are.

really powerful, like dancing at a funeral, taking a traumatic
thing that's happened in your life and turning it into
