Filmmaker Taiko Watiti has already for eight into comic book
movies before with his thor series for Marvel, and appears
he'll be back at it again, but this time he's
adapting a British comic hero, Judge Dread. The series is
a satire on the judicial system, with Judge Dread serving
multiple jobs judge, jury and executioner for unfortunate criminals who
were tried by him, and it's not the first time

the character has been seen on screen. Sylvester Stilunk famously
played him in nineteen ninety five and Carl Urban tackle
the role in twenty twelve. But Taika and Fall Guy
screenwriter Drew Pears are good friends who grew up on
the Judge Dread comics and planning to make a much
more faithful adaptation, and if all goes well with the
first movie, the vision is for additional spinoffs on both
