Musicians with strong fan bases release tickets for their shows,
they often sell out way in advance, but a filmmaker
pulling off the same feet has been entirely uncharted territory
until now, as all thanks to the hypes around Christopher
Nolan's upcoming movie The Odyssey. Nolan, who's known for releasing
all his projects on Imax, will continue that trend with
the Odyssey, and to mark the recent three hundred and
sixty five day countdown to the film hit and its

large format screens, he put advanced tickets on sale and
he broke records in the process. Despite being the longest
advanced sale in Imax history, theaters quickly sold out nationwide,
many within minutes, with ninety five percent all available seats
calling in the first hour, and just like a major
concert tour, a resale market has emerged, with some tickets
being listed for more than four to percent over face value.
