Speaker 1 (00:00):
Direct from Hollywood with Ryan Seacrest. Gigi press is a
scent to stardom is due in part to her undeniable
ability to channel deeply personal experiences and traumas into her music,
and most famously with her potent single Sailor Song. But
Gegee's entire new album, At the Beach in Everyday Life
is a collection of heartfelt, haunting songs and exploration of
the grief she endured, and while it's her own personal journey,

(00:21):
she thinks she knows why it's resonating with so many fans,
telling The New York Times, I feel like I have
a certain badge of experience that has opened a really
deep kind of pain that is possible for anyone to
go through. It was after Gigi lost her first record
deal that she was forced to return to her childhood home,
where she isolated in her bedroom to write and record music,
adding it wasn't until there was nobody, there was nothing

(00:43):
going on that the bigger questions started to come. I realize,
I'm so scared of death. I don't know what I
believe in. I don't have a sense of stability. But
Gigi didn't shy away from those hard emotions and instead
allowed herself to explore them through music, and when she
posted a snippet of Sailor song, the massive reaction made
her realize how many people could relate at the beach

(01:03):
and everyday life is out now that's direct from Hollywood.
