Donald Glover is Childish Gambino, or at least was, as
he's expressed. He's retired the stage name but will continue
to make music, but Childish Gambino is also at least
in part producer Ludwig Gorenson, who Glover met on the
set of Community while he was starring on the show,
and Ludwig was its composer and went on to produce
all the music that Donald sang or rapped as Gambino.

In the days since, Ludwig has gone on to have
even greater success as both a film and a TV composer,
recently on Sinners and simultaneously as a pop and rap
producer for Kendrick and Adele, and he admitted to Zane
Lowe he does have a slight preference for one over
the other, saying I do love making songs, so I
prefer working with artists, and for me that's always been

really important for my own personal musical journey and for
my own growth. To sit with another artist. No disrespect
to directors there artists as well, but to sit with
another musician, work with them, get their vision out, to
just sit and create something is a maze. You can
