one of the most influential songwriters of the last century,
having deeply inspired singers like Taylor Swift and Lona del Rey,
and her story will be coming to the big screen,
starring an a lister with more than just a passing
resemblance to the legendary artist. While it's not official, Anya
Taylor Joy is in final talks to play the folk

icon in her younger years, with Meryl Streep Rumor to
portray her closer to the present day, and Cameron Crowe,
who's been behind almost famous informally wrote for Rolling Stone,
is writing and directing the project and tells the New
York Times we're gonna make it next year. There's not
a lot I can say about it. Soon I'll be
able to speak more definitely about who's in it and
how we're gonna execute it. I actually had a dream

that gave me the structure of how I tell the story.
Joni has been incredibly inspiring. It's the most I've interviewed anybody,
and then the deepest kind of conversations I've had with
any artists, and I've found it invigorating we can't wait
