Director Zach Craiger delivered a bonafide hit with his horror
thriller Weapons, which feature one of the most unique boogeymen
in recent memory, Aunt Gladys, a house guest with highly
suspect makeup skills and a passion for witchcraft. And not
much was revealed about the character's backstory, but it appears
that it's going to change thanks to a prequel.

Zach just confirmed he's actively developed in this.

He tells Fangoria it's real and I've been talking to
Warner Brothers about it. Who produces Weapons. There's a story
and I'm pretty excited about it as not a rumor.
It turns out the kernel of the prequel was already
in the original script Zach wrote for Weapons before it
was cut during development, and it's proving fruitful now. He adds,
I was ready. I kind of had it in my
pocket before the movie even came out. Before he can
