Speaker 1 (00:00):
Direct from Hollywood. Clearly producers conjured up a little bit
of magic when they cast Reyami e j and Audrey
Nuna to sing as Hunter Tricks in K Pop Demon Hunters,
but don't think it was just a stroke of luck.
It was actually incredibly hard to find the right women
for the job. Demon Hunter's producer Michelle Wong described the
casting search as absolutely bruto to Deadline, saying, we had

(00:23):
three casting directors and did a search around the world.
What was challenging for our movie was that we obviously
needed all of our talent to be Korean. We wanted
them to be bilingual, and we wanted them to sing,
and that just doesn't happen. Actors say, oh, I can sing,
but when you hear our songs not at that level.
They're a mix of musical, theater and pop and they

(00:44):
need to be able to sing in emotional ways. By
the way. She also adds that Hunt Tricks never even
met or sang together during the making of the film,
recording their parts individually, but they sure crushed it. K
Pop Demon Hunters is on Netflix that's direct from Hollywood.
