I want to talk about creative geniuses. Vince Gilligan is
the brains behind Breaking Bad, which many call the best
show TV has ever seen. Is ay Tan yep, I
know you're both serious fans.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
Oh my gosh, I loved Breaking Bad and I'm loving Pluribus.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
Look, I'll just say right now, my husband Michael dressed
up as Walter White for Halloween one year.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Well. Vince also made Better Call Saul. So Vince is
the guy. If he has an opinion on storytelling and
how AI will impact it, then you listen.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
Oh absolutely, And perhaps.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Not surprisingly, Vince not's an AI fan. He calls the
creative spark one of the most precious things that humans have.
Why give that away?
Speaker 3 (00:37):
It's not about the entertainment industry, he says. We're all storytellers,
whether you're winning Emmys for it, or entertaining friends with
what happened that day.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
Or painting or making music, or of course writing.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
But the main reason Vince rejects AI storytelling is that
AI is not conscious. It doesn't even know it's telling
a story, like his toaster doesn't know it's toasting. Episode
