Speaker 2 (00:03):
Gig Perez was more involved than ever with the production
side of music on her newest album, At the Beach
in Every Life, and she credits a team that made
her feel comfortable enough to ask technical questions, allowing herself
to be vulnerable to really learn. But in this new era,
it's quickly becoming easier and easier for artists to rely
on AI to handle the tech side of making music,
So Gigi could in theory, lean on that in the future,

(00:24):
but don't count on it. She tells Billboard she's open
to AI handling gruntwork, but not creative aspects, saying we
already struggle with the connection. I think the deeper the
technology inserts itself into a part of human existence, it's

Gigi looks back fondly on the era where she had
to make all the music on her own and teach
herself how to use computer production tools along the way,

(00:45):
saying it was an experiment and an adventure. I feel
grateful that I could commit to waking up every day
and seeing it through Gigiperez there at the Beach in
Every Life is out now.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
That's direct from Hollywood.
