Avia Mendez made a conscious decision to walk away from
acting roughly a decade ago to focus on being a
mom to the two kids she shares with husband Ryan Gosling.
In a sit down with The Sunday Times, she revealed
while retiring was easier than you might think, saying I
was never in love with acting. I don't mean this
in a self deprecating way, but I wasn't a great actress.
I did have my moments when I worked with really
great people. My husband in particular, gets something out of

me as an actor that's never been accessible Because of
that chemistry on screen and off as well. Itavia says
the only way she would consider coming out of retirement
is sistar in another project alongside her husband, Ryan, who
co starred with her in twenty twelve's The Place Beyond
the Pines, adding that's the one thing I'd love to do.
