When they analyzed the most influential and definitive album covers
of this era. One of the first that we'll get
mentioned is Charlie XCX's stark, monotone colored Brat. The entire
design is literally just pea soup green and the word
Bratt spelled out in lowercase font very unceremoniously. It looks
like it was made in Microsoft paint in about three minutes.
But that simple image and the music contained inside spawned

an entire movement. It's called Brat's Summer, and that green
color was also everywhere, which makes it all seem like
a brilliant marketing strategy now. But Charlie admits she was
just trying to save some coin, telling Zane Low, I
was literally thinking this album is not going to appeal
to a lot of people. I thought maybe I'd do
a press shoot and also save some money on the
album cover. And everyone was like, that's the stupidest idea ever.
But Charlie followed through and the rest, as you know,
is history. Her new version of it Bratt, and it's
