Twisters hits theaters this weekend, the follow up to the
nineteen ninety six action thriller Twister, starting Bill Paxson, who
sadly passed away in twenty seventeen, and while Bill couldn't
be back to reprise his role, his son James, actually
is featured in the sequel in a cameo, and James's
decision to appear in the project wasn't one he came
to immediately. He tells ew it took me a little
bit of time to process it, just given the context

of my dad and his significance in the original and
him not being here. It's an emotional thing. I wanted
to be a conduit for his spirit there and cheer
everyone in this production on his success because I knew
he would be I wanted to do something that really
honors his presence in this new chapter, and so it
ended up feeling like the right thing to do, to
be representative of Dad.
