Speaker 1 (00:00):
John David Rich, Good morning, Christina, thanks for holding good morning.
What's going on?

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (00:05):
So I actually sent him a question because I need advice.

Speaker 4 (00:09):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
I have like kind of a different dynamic in my
family and my little sister, she's twenty years younger than me,
and she goes to a school and they were doing
like a little pre like concerts sale, and she was
selling items and she has like this super cute teacher
that she adores, and she asked him if he wanted

(00:33):
to buy what they were selling, and he was like, no,
I'm so sorry, like I'm trying to save all my money,
but I could say my phone bill, which I'm like
so sad because I don't think he should have said
that in front of the students. But my sister is
like really soft hearted, and so she told me about that,
and she's like, I want to get him something for Christmas,

(00:54):
but I don't know what to get him, and so
it's really stuck in my head for the last few days,
like we want to get him a gift, but we
don't want to offend him. So I need advice on
what we should get her teacher for Christmas that might
like take a little stress off his plate.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Well, I mean you could get him a gift card,
a cash card so he could pay his phone bill.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
That's that's the thing that hit me.

Speaker 5 (01:16):
It's like, you can use this for whatever you want.
We heard you mentioned your phone bill. Maybe this could
help towards that or help.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Take some frus the phone bill.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
I mean he mentioned at first.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
Right, well what what what was it that your sister
was selling?

Speaker 3 (01:32):
So she was selling flowers just like a little fundraiser.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
I give him the flowers here. He couldn't afford it.
I got them for you my Christmas.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
That doesn't help.

Speaker 5 (01:41):
They want to be helpful and thoughtful.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
I mean, if it's the first thing on your mind
is your phone bill, he's probably not thinking about anything else.
You don't want to say so you can pay your
phone bill because that might embarrass him a little bit first, Yeah,
I think just get him a cash card, let him
do whatever he wants with it.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
I thought you were going to be like, why is
he talking like this in front of my So we
don't need to know his private life about his bills,
because now it bums you out right.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
Yeah, I think that he's like one of those teachers
that has like kind of like a he's like a
chill guy and has like a cool relationship with them,
so he probably didn't think it was a big deal.
That was what I thought. I'm like, ugh, but also
like times are tough right now, you know, so we
want to we want to help him out. Okay, if
I were to get the gift card, how much should

(02:25):
we put on the gift card for him?

Speaker 4 (02:26):
Twenty five bucks?

Speaker 5 (02:28):
I mean, it's totally up to you your budget.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
What if you give the gift card and he's like, oh,
this is great, but you know, I still have like
some prostate issues.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
I got preseidis in my elbow.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
But he's just just starts rambling on all these personal
issues for doctor. Yeah, well yeah, I would say twenty
five bucks.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Okay, all right, sounds good. Well, thank you guys so much.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Hold on, what if he said that because that was
on the top of his mind, and now you get
him a card and he's be like, what's this about.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
Well, you said you said that you you were trying
to pay her.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
I think that'd be tough to be a teacher and
take a twenty five dollars gift card from a kid
to pay my phone.

Speaker 5 (03:08):
Give teachers gifts during the holidays.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
It's not unusual Apple.

Speaker 5 (03:12):
Like I think he appreciate whatever it is, you know
what I mean. Like my kids are bringing their teachers
Christmas gifts.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
Like, well, what's the gift? What's one of the gifts?

Speaker 5 (03:20):
Like Starbucks gift cards?

Speaker 4 (03:21):
How much?

Speaker 5 (03:22):
How much the Starbucks giffers are really ten Bucks? Those
are for like they're like electives teachers, but like their
homeroom teachers. They're getting like Amazon gift cards and like
a Stanley cup and like some other you that's good,
but it's like, that's really nice of you. I think
they'll appreciate what anything.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Give a gift card to find out if you can
see what mortgage company has on his home and maybe
here's twenty five dollars towards your mortgage.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Thank you so much, guys.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
Thank alright, by thanks for listening.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
Bye, Thank you, she said, Yo
