best dynamic. Kate sounds super cute. That's from our couple

Grant, Oh you you listen to it? Listen Everyone's thanks

I like how the very beginning of the podcast you
promote your other podcast.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Yeah, you knew that.
Speaker 4 (01:10):
There's something I pulled from the podcast that I thought
was hilarious. And I've known how long have you worked
on this show?
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Eleven plus eleven plus years?
Speaker 4 (01:19):
And I have never heard you laugh like the way
you laughed on this podcast. Yeah, sadly, I guess we've
never made your real not like this. Listen to this.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
He laughs at us that I liked your podcast. I
think your wife's adorable. She's the best. And when she
gets mad at you, I am very familiar with that.
Speaker 4 (02:18):
You know.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Yeah, so you know, some folks think we broke the
couple's therapy format and they're kind of mad at me.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
There's it was good to break. No, there's just like
apparently there's all these rules. What's the fun. I don't
know the rules.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
I don't know what. Reddit has turned on me, brother,
Reddit has finally turned off.
Speaker 4 (02:36):
Nick said that he read all these text messages and
all these d ms and they were all positive, just
like all the ones heavier. They're all positive. But then
he goes to the reddit thread and there people are
bagging on you. Yeah, who cares about the reddit thread?
Speaker 1 (02:47):
They were like, he didn't even do it. I'm like, yeah,
I did. We did exactly.
Speaker 4 (02:52):
What's the format that we have? No format? There's no
there is the format. It's just as long as you
are a couple, it works. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
And we just talked. We talked about a relationship and
some of the show stuff. Yeah, it was fun. We
had an awesome time.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
There's a text that says, John, Jay and Rich on
a scale of one to Snoop Dogg, how high were
Grant and Kate on the podcast?
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (03:13):
Yeah, uh, I mean were you high?
Speaker 4 (03:17):
A little bit? A little bit?
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Yeah, I mean it probably it was probably like a
three or four. Yeah, standard operating. Yeah, you had that honey,
that honey stuff in you too. That help that made
me crazy, dude. After the podcast was done, I could
tell your temperature was high.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Oh it was hot in there. What is the honey
stuff you take?
Speaker 2 (03:36):
I buy everything anyone at a smoke shop tells me
to buy, Like, that's just my rule of thumb. And
this guy basically was like, hey, do you like to
get stimulated in other ways?
Speaker 1 (03:45):
And I said, tell me more, brother.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
He walked me over and he pulled out this little
packet of honey and he's like, this will get you
fired up for your lady anytime you want to.
Speaker 4 (03:54):
But then you were also saying the podcast how your
body temperature went up.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
I drank I literally half of the packet, and I
was like sweating.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
And apparently if you take.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
Too much of this honey, from what I've been reading,
you hallucinate it make it causes all kinds.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
Of butt in the small amount of honey it makes you?
Speaker 4 (04:12):
It does it? Does it work? And did you guys
go for it? At the end? Yeah, I mean, I've
met your wife several times. She used to work here,
and I did not ever know that her personality was
as outgoing as it was.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
And she's the best. I'm so happy her so much. Well,
thank you for listening. Yeah, of course everyone the Afterwards podcast.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
I'm sorry I keep saying afterwards, it's not it's the
John d Rich on demand podcast. So wherever you get, like,
if you're listening to this on a podcast, it's on
the you gotta scroll down because as we put the
more podcasts up, it goes down on the feet. But
you search wherever there's podcast John Jay and Rich, and
it's our on demand podcast. Okay. The other thing going
on in the show is I remember Peyton's dilemma about
this wedding she was going to go to. I saw
(04:56):
a lot of the pictures and I was trying to
figure out what dress you wore. But one thing they
did stand out to me on social media was everyone
was wearing a green dress. Like, if you would have
worn a green dress, yeah, definitely would have been in
that wedding party.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Yeah, I definitely would have blended in. And I'm glad
that I didn't wear the original green dress that I
wanted to wear, because, like you said, John Jay, I
would have been matching everyone. But like my color green
dress was the exact color of like all of the decor,
and so I was like, okay, thank goodness dress. Yeah,
but I posted like a little transition video of all
my house.
Speaker 4 (05:26):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
So many good dresses I know, and like two of
them I've worn to weddings before. But everyone voted for
the green dress, and I was like, I know, it's
so it just was.
Speaker 5 (05:37):
So I mean, they were all really great, but that
one just like it.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
It was so.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Flattering, like it was fire.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
Oh, I loved it.
Speaker 4 (05:43):
I thought it was green one she wore.
Speaker 5 (05:45):
Well, the green one okay, but she didn't want to
wear the green one obviously. And the one you wore
was beautiful, but it was like the like you were
explaining to me, that's why you loved that dress because
of how it fit you, And it really did just
accentuate like every great part of you.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
Yes, all of the curbs for sure.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
So I decided I was going to return it, but
then I decided I'm just gonna keep it for this
weekend and wear it to dog Mom's event.
Speaker 5 (06:05):
I'm like, oh, I don't wear the green where the
green jay?
Speaker 3 (06:09):
But you guys, the outfit that I did end up wearing,
I wore this like milk made navy blue dress and
all of you guys have seen me wear that dress
before because that's the same dress I wore.
Speaker 5 (06:17):
To Grant in Kate's wedding, Like yeah, yeah, And then
I noticed the other one. Isn't that the one you
wore to Rich's wedding? Uh?
Speaker 1 (06:24):
Huh the pok on No.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
I wore that to my cousin's wedding a couple of
years ago. Rich is Rich and Stacy's wedding. I wore
like a long sleeve green dress.
Speaker 4 (06:34):
Okay, there's the video you made. Is up at John
Jay Rich on Instagram and it's it's fantastic. I just
said payton a message. I was like, man, that's a
great video. It's a really cool the way you did it. Yeah,
so go to John J. Rich and see it. By
the way, how come you I saw your dad's video.
You weren't in Los Angeles this weekend to follow your
family tree.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
I was not in LA this weekend. I did have
plans to go. I was supposed to leave Saturday morning
and hop on a flight, and by the time I
got home from that wedding.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
I didn't.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
I was drunk. I was like, I cannot get on
a flight eight hours. So I called my mom, was like,
can you please cancel my flight? And get my money back,
and so I didn't end up going, and plus it
was such a quick turn around. I when I had
to come back tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (07:12):
Or yes, it was the family disappointed. Yeah, of course
they were.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
They facetimed me and all that kind of stuff, and
I was sad I wasn't there too, But We're gonna
go out in like two months, so I will have
an update on my family tree.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
So you were like, I'm too hungover to come to
this to grandma's birthday party or grandma's service or whatever.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
It was my grandpa's birthday, yes, and he understood because
he's a real one. He was pretty upset though, because
my boyfriend could even cut all of his hair off
and I posted a picture of me like kind of
like kissing his face on my Instagram story, and apparently
my grandpa thought it was a totally different man and
was like, how.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Could paypay do that to him?
Speaker 3 (07:48):
We loved him, and my mom and dad had to
reassure him that it's the same man.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
He just cut his hair.
