Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's time for the drunk Down Lounge. You know you

(00:02):
can leave us a talkback. You tap on the red
microphone on the iHeartRadio, leave us to talk about the war.
You can call us on the drunk Down line six
two eight nineteen thirty three and we'll play them back.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Hi. I was calling because I was just thinking about
those one of those things that you always hear, like,
how why do we always say sleep like a baby?
I mean, a baby wakes up screaming and crying every
single second. You know, I don't want to sleep like
a like a grandfather after a Thanksgiving meal.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Thanks that's pretty funny.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Baby, those food combing naps are the best.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
I guess they're a talk about. That phrase probably comes
from at some point whenever the baby does sleep, goes
asleep for night ten hours.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
I mean, they looks so peaceful when they are sleeping.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Yeah, oh, that's maybe that's where it comes from.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
I would think, so, oh, uh, this is Chris again.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
I was just calling a suggest uh suggestion.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
About the game where y'all shocked the hell out of
taking uh.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
I was thinking, Yah, Holy, are you.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
Really thinking out here? I know this doesn't mean anything
to y'all.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
But this is very surprising me because I work at
a plant and this is.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
A very unsafe environment for a chicken.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Yeah, you're thinking, uh on my back AnyWho?

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:39):
I was calling, yeah to suggest that suggestion.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
About that game.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
I was thinking I could call it a rocking and
shocking because not only does it rhyme, it's actually very descriptive.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Of of what's going on in the game. So, uh, yeah,
rocking and shocking.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
Uh, what's the rocking parking? Oh?

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Okay, I want to know what is this an unsafe
environment for a chicken?

Speaker 3 (02:11):
I think he said he works on a plant.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Right, So what kind of plant? Like I mean? And
also it's a chicken, so like there's lots of plate
there is it?

Speaker 4 (02:18):
Is it a plant that makes mic nuggets radioactive?

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Like Chris tell us more? And why is there a
wild chicken in your plane? What's going on? Man? Anyway?
You know what I do have? We can do rocking?
What do you call it? Rocking and shocking? Trivia? Coming up?
We got another one?

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Oh yeah, I was just coming to say that I
just ate Taco bell and it's been a really, really,
really long time since I've eaten taco Bell and I
had a Chicken Casey Yet and it was like so.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Good, And I realized that taco brattle like Ta's so
much better when you don't have someone.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Annoying in your ear telling you that it sucks, because
it doesn't. It's like the best thing ever.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
So they'll get talk about bye spok at a fast food.
Did you see Wendy's is closing a bunch of stores. Yeah?

Speaker 4 (03:17):
I saw that.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Now. I can't tell if they're closing them permanently or
are they closing them because they're rebranding them. Have you
guys seen anything like that in the news.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
I haven't seen any rebranding stuff yet.

Speaker 5 (03:29):
No, they do have a commercial right now that says
they have chicken Tendyes and they said they're so good,
we should change Wendy's to Tendy's.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
But I don't think that's part of what you're talking about.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
How recent did you see that couple? Like?

Speaker 3 (03:44):
I think it was I think when we were watching football.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Yeah, yeah, I want to find the story because it
was like it was.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
I saw that this morning. It was like hundreds of
Wendy's stores closing down. I don't like it.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Yeah, I know, I love Wendy's. But I'm trying to
figure out the way I read it, it sounded like
there was like a rebrand. Can someone google where you
find it? Maybe you can find it.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Why would you need to rebrand Wendy's.

Speaker 5 (04:06):
It's amazing unless it's just a marketing thing, and like,
you know what I mean, yeah, because it's kind of Yes,
Wendy's is rebranding through a new strategic plan called Project Fresh,
which includes modernizing their restaurants, revitalizing their brand, and updating
the logo. Additionally, they have launched new menu items such
as the Tendy's.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
Okay, yeah, so they're shutting down to build backup.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Okay, that makes sense. Okay, that's good. I'm all for that.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
I would just keep them open. I mean, didn't work.

Speaker 5 (04:35):
Because McDonald's remember you know, McDonald's went through that whole
thing where they remodeled a whole bunch of their restaurants
and they look amazing.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Crue.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
Maybe it's Wendy's, Like we got to do that too.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Anyway, that's a drunk down lounge six two, eight, eight eight,
nineteen thirty three

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
