Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (00:00):
Very good morning, Good morning. I just need advice. Okay,
So my boyfriend, we've been together for two years, and
all of a sudden, you know, he you know, our
relationship was great and everything, but all of a sudden,
one day he decided to take a trip for Florida
because apparently somebody passed awaying his family. Okay, the trip

(00:26):
was just completely weird because even though he's really responsible
text messages when he was there, he wasn't. He will
call me from like weird areas, like on FaceTime and stuff.
And then all of a sudden he told me he
was then thinking of going to school there, but he
was just going to go there for another three days
to see the school. After that, I kind of, you know,

(00:50):
I was thinking something went wrong, and I kind of
made him confess that, you know, he was actually going
in there to live with some other guy he met.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Okay, so what advice do you need?

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Well, honestly, you know part of it. You know, the
reason he told me is pretty much he did it
because I never wanted to go live with him, because
I wasn't ready, honestly, but I decided to block him
because it's just I don't take well, you know, kind
of like sheeting and stuff for right now. But he's
still trying to find ways to contact me to tell

(01:24):
me he loves me. I'm not really sure if he
even came back. Apparently. Last thing I heard is he
told the guy he was not going to be with
him anymore. So I just don't know if it just
didn't work out and he's just looking for like a
I don't know, take an option. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Can't trust America. You know you can't trust him.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Right, So what advice do you need?

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Should I unblock him? I kind of continue the conversation
or just like.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Well, did you find out if a family member did die?
Who died?

Speaker 2 (01:55):
No one died? He was actually there with the guy.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Okay, Well, the fact that he lied to you about that,
I mean that's pretty dramatic kind of I think it's
almost like I want to talk to him and give
him better lying advice. Could you either lie about someone
dyeing or lie you're gonna go to school there? I
think you can't do the true pick one pick.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
And if you let him back in, you're giving you're
giving him permission to treat you the same way he
treated you before, which some does sound like you like.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Did he admit to you that he lied? Did he
admit to you he lied about the family member dying?

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Did you find out?

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Because I'm I make him. It's so weird because when
he left, I didn't go to his house for that
whole week because I was busy with work, so I
didn't got the time to go to his house and
tell everyone, Hey, I'm sorry for your loss. So when
he was leaving, I told him, you know, pretty much

(02:49):
his family and their families like, what are you talking about?
We don't even have to.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Terrible life? Did you ever see what the guy look
like that he cheated on you with?

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Yes, he's actually older, so I don't I don't know
if he like just he's gonna provide for him or
something because I'm.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Not Is he good looking? Was it worth it? Like?
Was it worth? Like you can go? I can see
why he would go for that guy. That guy's really looking.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Have you don't want to say anything? You know he's
getting into hell, you know, like, honestly, I feel like
he is. My friends obviously are going to support me.
They take you. He's really bad looking and old, but.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
You know, right, Okay, Well, I think you know the
answer to everything you're asking. You know that you did
the right thing.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Yeah, right, right, right, It's just hard after two years
there was like it just came all of a sudden
with it two days that I'm like, hey, have.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
You have you hooked up with anybody since you and
him kind of broke up since you blocked him.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Well, I found out on a Thursday, and we decided
to be like still together because I wanted to get
him back, and to be honest with you, I did it.
I don't feel okay about it, but I did hook
up with my ex before he left, so I can
show him pictures and.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Why send the pictures here? First go Eric.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Now he's saying that he's gonna forgive me and gotta
come back with me because I cheat it on him,
and he's telling all my family members that I cheated
on him, but he's not telling his story.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
You need to get away from him, you know you
that's toxic. Here's bad news. Eric. Hey, Eric, thank you
for listening, Thank you for calling in. Really appreciate that
you wanted our advice, and thank you for listening.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Yeah, thank you.

Speaker 1 (04:28):

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
