Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's John day Rich. You can always shoot us a text.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
You text JJR to nine six eight ninety three jj
R whatever you want to say to nine six eight
nine three. You can also call us, which is probably
what we're gonna lean towards right now, because we're gonna
get in some fun stuff on the phone. You call
us at eight seven seven nine three seven one oh
four seven.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
We got Jenny on the line.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Hi, Jenny, Hi, Hey, So Peyton was telling us how
she hosted this date, this speed dating event for you, right, Yes, okay,
I can't stop thinking. On our show, we get into
like a lot of relationships, we also get into a
lot of dating, and you know, and everyone nowadays is
all apps. But you keep hearing how apps like oh
people are like anti apps. And I think what you
did is very very clever. Can you walk us through
(00:43):
what you did? Because also wait when you walk us
through what you did, at the same time, everybody here
in the show, let's see how we can take what
she's doing and do it on our show and do
a speed dating in the studio.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Go ahead, Jenny, So what is it that you did.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
Speed dating on the radio. I think that's an amazing idea,
especially because they don't have looks to pay attention to
just the personality. But yeah, so basically I started in
the DMB. I've always been known to like kind of
hook people up and they would be in long relationships.
And I had a best friend that called me asking her,
(01:19):
asking me to put her on a few dates. And
next thing you know, I did like a small speeding
event in my city, and then I guess, like a
club in Miami have reached out to me, and I
did it there, and then I just started traveling from
there and next thing you know, I'm seeing in Arizona
finding love for the singles.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Okay, So do people just show up and you just
and they just go like do they have questionnaire?
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Like what are some of the questionnaires?
Speaker 3 (01:43):
Yep, So they're gonna get Normally, they register and you'll
find out their age, You'll find out maybe their celebrity crush,
their longest relationships, things like that when they register, and
then when they finally come in, you'll go ahead and
give them a little checklist and they will mark what
they liked about the contestant in front of them and
(02:03):
if they want to go on another.
Speaker 4 (02:04):
Date with them.
Speaker 5 (02:05):
Okay, how much time do you give each person to connect.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
Free to six minutes? I have the speed inning events
that I have are kind of big, so I try
to make it go a little bit faster than normally.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
What okay, so they sit down face to face three
six minutes and then you hit a buzzer or bell
and then do they just does one.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
Person stay sitting and another person sits down?
Speaker 3 (02:27):
Like do they rotate exactly exactly? It could be the
ladies that are moving or the mail.
Speaker 5 (02:31):
Okay, what if let's say, what are the girls that
really feels a connection with the guy? Can you say, wait,
hold on, I want three more minutes with him? Or
do you just have to move on and come.
Speaker 6 (02:42):
Back like I always ask.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
They always ask for more minutes, But you gotta let
them know. Write the name down of the contestant circle
if you want another date with them, I'll do the
swapping of the contact information.
Speaker 5 (02:52):
Is there a secret sauce to like kind of cutting
through the clutter of the guy that you're interviewing with
to see if he's a good connection for you. Is
there a good question to ask?
Speaker 3 (03:03):
I don't know what a popular question is. I think
you'll always ask what's your zodiac sign? That's a fun
question that the ladies ask a lot.
Speaker 7 (03:10):
It's a valid one. You need to know your man
zodiox side and even know if they're compatible. The stars
do not lie.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
Okay, so can we get copies of your stuff? Can
we copy you a little bit?
Speaker 3 (03:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (03:22):
Your stuff?
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Can you send it to pause?
Speaker 8 (03:25):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (03:25):
And I already have a few contestants if you guys
need some for us.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
Yes, that'd be great. They could come in on Like,
what if we do it on Friday? Can they come
in Friday?
Speaker 9 (03:33):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Yeah, they're already asking me from the last event and Scottsdale, Phoenix, Arizona.
Can they Can they have another one? So that's amazing
if they can come by.
Speaker 5 (03:40):
Yes, yes, Well I think Jenny was thinking we were
doing because she said, because you can hear each other
but not see each other. I think you were thinking
we would do it on the phone, but we want
to do it in the studio. Want them in here,
We want to do it.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
Oh that's fun.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
Yeah, what's city you in?
Speaker 3 (03:55):
I'm in the DMV right now.
Speaker 5 (03:56):
I'm in Richard, Virginia, the DMV, the Department of Motor V.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Yeah, I'm in a Department of Motor Vehicles, because that's
all as you said.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
You said I started the DMV and I was like, oh,
it must have been really good person there. And you
never kept setting people up. I like your license set up.
That's what I thought you met.
Speaker 5 (04:12):
That's what I did too, totally.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
No Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
No idea.
Speaker 5 (04:17):
Oh gosh, I.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
Had no idea. That's what that meant. No idea.
Speaker 7 (04:20):
I don't know that either.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
Okay, so you keep what you give Peyton, those the
information to those people and what do.
Speaker 9 (04:30):
You think of the checklist.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
I'll give her their name and phone number, and then
she was just let them know what time to get there,
and they're ready.
Speaker 5 (04:38):
I mean, we do we do it just like we
would in a club, and maybe we could even get
a bartender in here to kind of get on the show.
Speaker 10 (04:45):
I think we bring them. Look, let's say we have
three couples, right, three girls, three guys. We give them
three to six minutes, like we follow Jenny's like formula. Right,
we give them the three six minutes, and then afterwards
we bring them in and we ask them like which bachelor.
Speaker 11 (04:59):
Did you like?
Speaker 5 (05:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (05:00):
I like that, but I was going to say the
same almost the same thing, but just a minute. They
get one minute.
Speaker 10 (05:06):
That's like your first impassions.
Speaker 5 (05:08):
That's fast. We got to move.
Speaker 10 (05:11):
But we introduced the couples. We take a little break
on the show, and that's when they connect, feel each
other out, and then we.
Speaker 5 (05:21):
The interview.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
That's good.
Speaker 5 (05:23):
Let me ask let me ask you this, Kyle and
Peyton and Jenny too. Do you think in your past
dating history you can tell within sixty seconds if there's potential.
Speaker 7 (05:32):
Yeah, all you gotta do is just look at them.
I mean, that's that's a little shallow part of it.
I mean, but that's a big part of it.
Speaker 10 (05:41):
You can tell attraction. I don't know about potential.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
Okay, So a couple of things real quick.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
If you're listening and you want to participate, call us
at eight seven seven nine three seven one four seven.
And the second thing, Ginny is Peyton said, there was
a guy there, one guy that was like the star
that everyone's going crazy for.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
Does that ring a bell, Peyton?
Speaker 3 (05:58):
Which it might have been one of one too.
Speaker 7 (06:00):
It was the one outside, the one that was sitting outside.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
Oh yes, yes, yes, can you get him to come in?
Speaker 1 (06:05):
And we want him to come in.
Speaker 5 (06:06):
He's probably I will.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
Find I will try to find him if he's not
with his match already.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Yes, well, because it like like a couple of like,
I'm assuming these people are attractive, you want I'm.
Speaker 5 (06:16):
A good people, Yeah, I mean, if you're ugly, we could.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
Do another one on. We can do an ugly speed
dating back next week.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
In their own right, exactly exactly. And the ladies are
so cool, they're so laid back. They really just want
a genuine guy. And I think that's why they're here,
and that's what the neat face to face, so they
can have an actual conversation instead of just pictures like
social media.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
Jacy c Here was another idea I had for Radio
Friendly is there's a guy who's a friend of mine.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
He's thirty eight years old.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
You guys met him last week, single, good looking, very
very successful, good personally yeah, very successful, very.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
I mean, and just a good human being.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
I thought maybe he could be the guy and you
do like a bachelor where you bring in women and
then he speed dates with them, also for the sake
of radio so it doesn't take an hour and a
half like you have him talk to three or four
different ladies and do the speed dating and then he
brings them closer.
Speaker 5 (07:07):
That was one version that's not speed dating speed dating
for him.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
For him, right, because people ask me all that there's
so many great women out there, and there's not a
lot of good guys.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
Let's be honest, there's not.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
So when you do find a good guy, it's like
you gotta grab him, highlight him, and make sure he
gets a good girl.
Speaker 5 (07:24):
Like a guy sitting outside and speed dating.
Speaker 7 (07:26):
Right.
Speaker 5 (07:26):
Yeah, everybody wanted a piece of that guy.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
Yep, they definitely did. I think I think that's kind
of cool. I have done that before. She was kind
of like a popular Instagram fairly, and I did kind
of an antimate experience for her to find a bachelor,
and that was that was super fun. It wasn't as
fun as a normal, the normal experience, but it was
definitely fun.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
Okay, well, let's throw it out there. We'll you see
who bites. If we have a bunch of here that
want to come in, we'll do that way. If not,
maybe I could just do it around my friend or
that one good looking guy.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
At least three guys.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
Okay, oh got at least three.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
Oh, look, we have somebody wants to speed day. Alrighty,
hold on, Jenny, let's say can you say hi to people?
We'll talk to him. Yeah, okay, let's pick up Cody
real quick. Hey Cody, you want to be the.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Speed dating dude, one of the dudes. Yeah, listen, Jenny
screen him real quick.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
Hey Cody, how are you?
Speaker 7 (08:18):
Oh?
Speaker 9 (08:18):
I'm doing doing all right yourself, I'm doing good.
Speaker 3 (08:21):
I just want to make sure you're looking for maybe
like a real relationship. And what was your longest relationship
by the way, Uh, probably three and a half years. Okay,
hold your celebrity question by chance?
Speaker 9 (08:36):
Ooh uh.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
That's a good question.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
You answered too slow, Cody, it's speed dating.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
Come on. Yeah, but if you want to come in, okay,
but hol hold on Cody. Okay, we'll get your but
hold on, hold on one second.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
Hold Ony.
Speaker 5 (08:50):
He sounds like it could be good looking because it
sounds like he's a mouth breather.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
Said to Lisa real quick, Lisa, you want to be
part of speed dating.
Speaker 6 (09:00):
I am calling in behalf of my friend. She is
looking for love and I want to help her out.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
Well, do you think she'll come in?
Speaker 8 (09:08):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (09:08):
Yeah, she will most definitely come in.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
If I tell her do you know what her celebrity crushes?
Speaker 10 (09:14):
Oh?
Speaker 12 (09:16):
She told me this the other day and I uh,
I totally drop it.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
Do you if she comes in? Will you come in
with her?
Speaker 10 (09:25):
I can.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
Let's plan around Friday.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
Let's one was the question for them too. On's the
question Does age matter?
Speaker 10 (09:32):
Ladies?
Speaker 7 (09:34):
Yes, to me, it does.
Speaker 13 (09:36):
Well, you have a boyfriend, if they're older, younger, that matters.
Speaker 6 (09:43):
We're in our thirties, like, we want to make sure
that we don't want to go for a young buck
that doesn't know what he wants. We want somebody who
is at an age where they're able to make these
decisions without wanting to have that party like, we want
to settle down, have family and still have fun.
Speaker 5 (09:57):
There you go, that's great answer that it is.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
Okay, hold on, Lisa.
Speaker 9 (10:01):
Hold on, I'm married.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
Hold on, now get forgure, you get everyone's information.
Speaker 5 (10:04):
Hold On, these married people want to do the speed
dating thing.
Speaker 3 (10:08):
I've actually had that happen out our friend.
Speaker 7 (10:12):
You said you've had married people want to do the
speed dating.
Speaker 3 (10:16):
No, not want to, they were in it.
Speaker 14 (10:19):
That's terrible.
Speaker 5 (10:20):
Let me see my choices. Look at my choices.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
Now, did you let them.
Speaker 3 (10:26):
Well, I didn't know until they were already seated, and
the host made a joke like is there anyone married here?
Raise your hand? And one or two actually did.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
So.
Speaker 3 (10:37):
I don't know if they were going through something, but yeah,
slowly put them in the corner.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
Hey, listen this this text message we just got it
says I went on a ton of speed dates in
Phoenix before I got married.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
One guy had a sweater fetish.
Speaker 5 (10:49):
What what is that?
Speaker 6 (10:52):
Oh?
Speaker 10 (10:53):
There really is something for everyone.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
List I had a gen real quick jen morning morning.
Hey you want to be part of this?
Speaker 12 (11:05):
I do sounds really fun. I've never done anything like this,
so I'm like, hey, why not?
Speaker 1 (11:11):
Can you come in on Friday?
Speaker 8 (11:14):
I can What time?
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Probably seven? What's your favorite color? Can you map quest?
Speaker 5 (11:21):
Map quest? Question? Yeah, Jed? Who's your celebrity crush? Jed?
Speaker 12 (11:28):
I map quest Anna Thomas Brother's guide. My favorite celebrity
crush is probably David Anders.
Speaker 5 (11:37):
Who's that?
Speaker 11 (11:39):
Yeah? Not many people know who he is? Who was
in a show called Alias. He is play Brad guy.
I know, I'm worried.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
I remember Alias. Yeah it was Jennifer Garner.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
Yes, Jenny, we sh'll probably get him in here. Jenny,
what other questions you ask general quick?
Speaker 3 (11:57):
So we asked her her celebrity quesh, Jen, what are
your hobbies?
Speaker 11 (12:03):
I like shooting guards, I like to do karaoke.
Speaker 3 (12:11):
Any new activity I've tried I've been wanting to try.
Speaker 11 (12:17):
I mean, it's a little tree anything. I mean most
of the idiot.
Speaker 5 (12:21):
Doing Okay, all right, hold on, Jen and Cody, I
can see it.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
So if you want to participate in the in to
participate in this speed dating event, email Peyton Peyton Whitmore
at iHeartMedia dot com and and then she'll screen you.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
And put you on there with us on on on Friday, and.
Speaker 7 (12:36):
It's Peyton with an A by the way, not an
E P A Y t O.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
N Okay.
Speaker 5 (12:41):
I want to ask Jenny if anybody's like falling in
love and gotten married from the speed dating that she's done.
Speaker 3 (12:47):
Yes, actually yes, I have one couple that I matched
in twenty twenty two. They're still together, they're engaged about
to have a baby, and I actually have them come
speak whenever I'm in the you see area, so that's
where they live, and they come out and they come
to the events and they talk and they get on
the Mic and I still have pictures from when they
(13:08):
first walked in didn't know anybody to now and it's
really cool. It's really really cool.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
Hey can you say hi to Ariel real quick? Ariel, Ariel,
good morning.
Speaker 14 (13:18):
Hi, good morning.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
Do you want to purchase to?
Speaker 14 (13:22):
I would love that. I just got done watching Love
on the Spectrum and I was like, the dating sounds
so fun and.
Speaker 6 (13:29):
Now here we are.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
What questions do you have for he Jenny, Ariel?
Speaker 3 (13:33):
What's your biggest pet peece when dating?
Speaker 2 (13:37):
Uh?
Speaker 14 (13:38):
Probably one I can come.
Speaker 3 (13:43):
Okay, definitely understand. And Aeriel one nice question. What's the
craziest thing you did for love when you were in
a relationship? Was it driving fifteen hours or what have you?
In your passion?
Speaker 14 (13:59):
So one of the craziest things I did for love
last minute, I drove to Vegas to meet to meet
an old X of mine and that was just that
was an interesting experience.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
But did you just go for the night?
Speaker 14 (14:18):
It was like two nights?
Speaker 1 (14:19):
Oh wow? Wow?
Speaker 14 (14:21):
Right, very spontaneous.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
Okay, Well, we got Aerial down for Friday?
Speaker 1 (14:29):
All right? All right?
Speaker 2 (14:33):
Yeah, so were we so hold on, Ariel, Okay, did
we get did you get arial number? Okay, A hold on, okay,
we'll get all your information, so you come in on Friday.
Speaker 8 (14:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (14:40):
Is there a type of guy or a type of
girl that like speed dating, like speaks to where you
can the cut through the clutter? People that it works
for the most.
Speaker 3 (14:51):
Say that question one more time. It kind of broke
off a little bit.
Speaker 5 (14:53):
What kind of personality does well in speed dating?
Speaker 3 (14:59):
Actually asked my I'm the most The most common personalities
that do get a lot of matches are the people
that aren't really social media addicts. So it's a lot
of people don't even have Instagram that come to my event,
which is crazy because they sound like aliens to us.
A lot of people don't have Instagram, they don't have Facebook,
(15:19):
they don't have social media. So I feel like those
are the kind of coolest people that always tend to
get a match. Just the people that aren't, I guess,
super popular.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
How how do they find out about the event without
social media find out?
Speaker 3 (15:35):
Ye oh, that's a good idea. Oh I'm have to
try that, But normally word of mouth. I also do advertisements.
I know a few radio stations in different cities, and
I also pass out flyers a lot whenever I go
to a different city, I'll go there like a few
days before, and I'll just harass the neighborhoods with flyers.
Speaker 1 (15:55):
Where was your event? Where was your event the other day?
Speaker 2 (15:57):
Here?
Speaker 8 (15:58):
What?
Speaker 1 (15:58):
What restaurant of our we were in?
Speaker 3 (16:00):
We were in scott We were at well Seasoned.
Speaker 7 (16:03):
Yeah, stop stale right next to eleven eleven. We did
get a text though, Jenny for you, and it says
do you usually charge for your events? And how much
is it?
Speaker 3 (16:12):
Okay, it just depends on the city.
Speaker 6 (16:15):
Really.
Speaker 3 (16:15):
If I do charge, it will be under twenty.
Speaker 5 (16:17):
But that's cool.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
Ours is free. Ours is going to be free. Is
there now? When? When when they do the event.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
And they match, is that the prize or do they
get do you pay for them to go on a
date or anything?
Speaker 3 (16:29):
I don't pay for them to go on a date.
That's another good idea, but no. Yeah, the prize is
you might have found a potential life partner.
Speaker 5 (16:36):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
Hello, Okay, we'll probably, I would say, as we're making
this up on the radio, like they come in.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
If a couple matches, I think we send them on
a date.
Speaker 5 (16:44):
Yeah, I think we talk about the date.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
So the Friday we have all the people come in Friday,
we see who matches, they go on a date, and
then maybe they can come in Monday and we go
over the date.
Speaker 10 (16:54):
Yeah, like live second date update.
Speaker 5 (16:55):
Yeah on a Monday. Yeah yeah yeah. But if you
if you get married and have a baby, you get
a name your baby after one of us.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
On the show.
Speaker 5 (17:03):
Yes, I agree, Jenny, You're awesome.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
Is there a number or an Instagram or some somewhe
where people can get hold.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
Of you next time you come to town?
Speaker 3 (17:12):
Yeah, you guys, follow me at Crazy Things to Do
DMB just how.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
It sounds fascinating. It's like Crazy Things to Do with
the DMV.
Speaker 5 (17:21):
You can get your license. You are hung up on
the state alie to st an you stay alive, not
let that go. You want to be forty three B,
you can be forty three D state And then.
Speaker 10 (17:30):
I'm another line probably if you know, you know test.
Speaker 1 (17:35):
All right, wait, Crazy Things to Do DMV, that's what
you said, right.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
Yeah, yep, follow me, guys. I'll post the next event
in scott Stale won't be for like another month or
two or three, but definitely still follow me.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
Okay, Then when that happens and you come in here
and we can help promote it and maybe we can
do another one in here.
Speaker 6 (17:51):
Okay, I love that.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
And you're also gonna Peyton. You'll connect with her and
maybe you can book some of her people to come in,
especially that one good looking guy. I want to see
that one good looking guy to have a show off. Right, Jenny,
thank you so much for jumping on the air with us.
Speaker 9 (18:04):
Oh yeah, later, that was interesting.
Speaker 10 (18:09):
I think it's gonna work out, and I think it's
gonna be so fun.
Speaker 5 (18:11):
It's gonna be chaos, but that's gonna be incredible. I
love it.
Speaker 10 (18:14):
It's gonna be like you're gonna feel the love in
the air or you're gonna feel the distinct.
Speaker 7 (18:18):
And like I can say, when I was hosting, I
did catch some vibes of some people that just didn't
really click. Also, you got to see like sparks fly
real life was so great.
Speaker 5 (18:29):
It was so cool because.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
If you're at that speed dating event at a bar,
at a club or whatever and your sparks fight, you
could be like, hey, you want to dance?
Speaker 1 (18:34):
Like does that happen?
Speaker 5 (18:35):
No?
Speaker 7 (18:36):
No, no, I mean you could after I'm sure if
you want to go.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
I mean, do you think it was just like, okay,
see you later and they left and they made plans later.
Or was it like that night, let's go do it,
let's go do something.
Speaker 7 (18:44):
Well, so for that this event, specifically that we did
eleven eleven, the night club right next door was along
free entry if you did the speed date, so everybody
went to the club after it might have been hooking
one who knows, but yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:00):
Okay, I like it. What was it? Oh? Hello, Hi John,
Jay and Rich? Hello, good morning, Hi.
Speaker 3 (19:06):
I was calling to see if you guys are still.
Speaker 14 (19:08):
Taking for speed dating.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
Yeah, you want to be a contestant?
Speaker 12 (19:12):
I do.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
What's your favorite color?
Speaker 5 (19:17):
What's your name? First of all, Alexis?
Speaker 1 (19:21):
Yeah, you can be hold on. Okay, we'll get your information.
Speaker 5 (19:23):
In a lot of people.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
That would be great. I think more than Mary.
Speaker 5 (19:26):
We need a bigger location. Hold on, we listen to
a big, bigger spot.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
Hold on, Alexis, hold on, hold on. Hello, good morning, John,
Jay and Rich can help you.
Speaker 3 (19:36):
I'm conan for the speed dating.
Speaker 14 (19:39):
I'm sorry called before, but my manager called to I
had to drop.
Speaker 2 (19:41):
I think I was on hold.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
Oh, okay, what's your name?
Speaker 4 (19:45):
Christy?
Speaker 1 (19:46):
Okay, Christy?
Speaker 2 (19:48):
What's one of the questions asked, who's your celebrity crush
Matthew McConaughey. Oh that's good, mind too, Hi, Christy, hold
lot of cable, get your information?
Speaker 1 (20:01):
Oh good, we need some more guys.
Speaker 7 (20:04):
Otherwise, my email is just blowing up right now too.
But it's all the ladies and men.
Speaker 5 (20:11):
Yourself is there.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
I'm telling you the worst case scenario. I'm gonna bring you
my friend Brett. He's a great catch. It is also
today Administrative Assistance Day, so we're gonna get into a
bunch of that stuff too. Eight seven seven nine three
seven one four seven. I want to know about like
crazy thing your boss made you do, or something you
just did that was crazy because of work or something.
(20:33):
Eight seven seven nine three seven one o four seven. Sierra,
Good morning.
Speaker 4 (20:38):
Hi, good morning.
Speaker 1 (20:39):
What did you do?
Speaker 15 (20:41):
So?
Speaker 4 (20:42):
My boss sent me to buy every ironing board I
could possibly find in Walmart.
Speaker 5 (20:46):
The ironing board, per quah, Why.
Speaker 4 (20:49):
Just the ironing board? So kind of backstory. So I
work in the hotel industry. So when we had Super Bowl,
we had this big group that wanted everybody. He was
requesting ironing boards in the hotel at the time mainly
just had steamers in their rooms. So my boss comes
up to me and he says, hey, I looked online.
Walmart has seven of these ironing boards. Showed me a picture.
(21:10):
Can you go pick them up? So I go over
there and they only had like three of the ones
that he wanted. So I FaceTime I say, hey, they
don't have them, but they have like all this other selection,
Like what do you want me to get? And he
just goes, just get them all. So I had to
somehow maneuver every single ironing board in Walmart into a
cart and then get the cashier laugh at me. He's like,
(21:31):
what are you doing? And then I'm getting it into
the parking lot. They're sliding all over the place, and.
Speaker 12 (21:38):
Then I get them into my car.
Speaker 7 (21:42):
Oh my gosh, how funny and how awkward.
Speaker 10 (21:45):
So awkward.
Speaker 5 (21:48):
I would have much preferred a steamer, by the way,
if I'm a hotel guest than an ironing board. Way
easier to steam.
Speaker 4 (21:53):
I know, yeah, most guests love it, but these guests
everybody wanted one.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
Well that's definitely an interesting request from boss. And thanks Sarre,
and hey, thank you so much for holding a thank you,
Thank you, have a great day. Eight seven seven nine
three seven one of four seven. Wonder about the crazy
weird thing your boss asked you to do. I'm looking
at some of the comments we posted on Facebook. Eric says,
my former boss asked me more like demanded. Did I
(22:22):
not text or talked with a former employee from our division.
My boss once asked me to hand feed him his lunch.
My boss asked me to smell her chili to see
if it was good enough to eat. Reuben says my
botch my boss, I watched watch my register. Well, I
drove to the smoke shop to buy her a meth pipe.
(22:45):
What dang, dang, let's see. Oh god, Lisa says. My
boss had the person who I was hired to replace
train me.
Speaker 5 (22:56):
That's that's brutal.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
My Cheryl says, my boss me to watch his three
grandchildren before I started work.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
I said no.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
He and his wife showed up at my house with
three kids and said they'd only be a couple of
hours and left. I had five kids to watch under
the age of ten and a husband who was sleepy
because he worked at night shift.
Speaker 1 (23:14):
That was that's rough, b real, Well, I would what
she said.
Speaker 7 (23:17):
No, that's like a violation of boundary.
Speaker 5 (23:20):
I think nut ain's your boss too, that what happens
if you don't do it. She's probably like a few
hours will be over. But if I lose my job,
that's a whole thing. So weird.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
But what do you do? Kick him out? Kids, out
of here? You can't stay here? If you can, that's weird.
Hey Joe, good morning, Good morning.
Speaker 8 (23:36):
How you doing.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
You'll calling about speed dating though? Are you?
Speaker 8 (23:39):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (23:40):
I am. I'm happily married though, no interesting?
Speaker 5 (23:43):
Okay, do you think you're in? He's like, I'd be
really good at it.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
It's dating.
Speaker 10 (23:49):
We don't want to sign you up if you're married.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
So what are you talking about?
Speaker 2 (23:53):
So?
Speaker 9 (23:53):
I had a comment based on you trying to get
your friend hooked up and stuff, the one that you
mentioned on the way to deal that easy look wealthy?
Speaker 1 (24:02):
I say wealthy? I said successful, Oh, the same thing.
Speaker 8 (24:06):
Not really but okay, but I think that the women
that if you just try to get your print in
by himself, the women are already going to know that,
and he might get the wrong people that want to
hook up with them for the wrong reasons.
Speaker 5 (24:20):
You know, every season I watch with a bachelor, there's
plenty of people that are there for the wrong reasons,
and they make like two or three episodes of me.
A lot of people that are there for the wrong reasons.
So Joe, already in speed dating, you've introduced that plotline,
and I appreciate that because we need that here.
Speaker 9 (24:35):
It's alman that have money when they're on dates, they
don't talk about how much money they make because they
want to get the right girl.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
Some of the people are here for the wrong reasons. Well,
he's texting me right now. He's like, I said, I said, hey,
can you come in Friday. We want to do maybe
I'll do a whole dating segment around you. And he goes, yes,
what time. I have to drop my son off at
school in the am and then I can head down.
I just need to move some clients. So if worst case,
(25:01):
because right now, as far as I know, we don't
have a guy. So I thought you did get Cody's number.
Speaker 7 (25:06):
I didn't get Cody's number.
Speaker 5 (25:07):
I don't know if Nick, so we don't know.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
We don't know. Well, back.
Speaker 16 (25:12):
Cod I have Cody's number, they have abled number.
Speaker 14 (25:16):
And.
Speaker 5 (25:20):
We needed at least three dudes. We got three dudes potentially.
That's good.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
And then I'm gonna I'm still good at my friend
come in because I know he's a catch.
Speaker 10 (25:26):
Four well four any other dudes who.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
Want to step up? Yeah, so email Peyton Peyton Whitmore.
I think your name sounds so royal.
Speaker 7 (25:36):
Thank you?
Speaker 1 (25:37):
What more from the castle that any day?
Speaker 2 (25:43):
So text us, text JJ are you You can text
us if you want to come into the dating thing.
You can also email Peyton Peyton Whitmore at iHeartMedia dot com.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
There's a lot.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
Oh god, look this, this is back for an administrati
assistant day. My boss asked me to dumpster dive and
find a cashier's check that will lost for a home
purchased closing.
Speaker 1 (26:02):
That's a big one.
Speaker 10 (26:03):
That is that's actually important.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
Yeah, oh the but I'm looking at it.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
Oh here, Johji Rich, can I bartend for the speed
dating event? Sure?
Speaker 5 (26:14):
Yeah, we should have some uh we should have some
espresso Martiniz to kill it, clid courage.
Speaker 10 (26:18):
Yeah, you also kind of like you want to lose
his people up, but I also want them sober.
Speaker 1 (26:23):
Yeah, well look at this, John j. Rich.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
My bestie Hayley needs to be part of the speed
dating She's a babe. Twenty nine doing well in life,
sick of these soap, of these boys. Her favorite color
is red and her celebrity crushes Gerard Butler. She's family oriented,
she's down for anything once, and she's so kind.
Speaker 1 (26:43):
I like that. I like that a lot. Guys. Are
we talking about bosses?
Speaker 5 (26:48):
Bosses stuff?
Speaker 1 (26:49):
Your boss asked you to do? Yeah, that's one of
the things we're doing. Yeah.
Speaker 15 (26:52):
One time, one time, my boss drove into a flood
and then his car just stopped working. So I had
He asked me to stand at the corner right outside
our work for about six.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
Seven hours until the tow truck came.
Speaker 5 (27:05):
Wasn't that long?
Speaker 13 (27:06):
Yeah, it was. It was a long time. Yeah, I
sat in Riches's truck. I just drove ridges truck around
the blog and it was the weirdest.
Speaker 1 (27:13):
So you didn't sit there for six hours, drove the truck.
Speaker 13 (27:15):
Sat in the intersection, and I just remember it was
the weirdest.
Speaker 5 (27:18):
That was the weirdest day.
Speaker 1 (27:19):
That was a weird time. If I find that video,
I'll repost it because it's different.
Speaker 5 (27:23):
It's pretty great.
Speaker 13 (27:25):
You no, no, you were just you were that you
drove into a flood.
Speaker 1 (27:29):
It was dark, it was dark, and I don't know
why that street was.
Speaker 5 (27:33):
Flat and we had to save you remember get my car.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
My car went in the water and just like this
and didn't water start coming into the door.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
We did.
Speaker 5 (27:42):
We didn't dive by rescue and we pulled John Jay
out of his.
Speaker 1 (27:45):
Front windows live on the Weather Channel.
Speaker 5 (27:49):
That was so weird. The reported are like this man
stuck in this own parking luded on Instagram. But that's
great made.
Speaker 1 (27:57):
Yeah, but were you in the video? I don't remember.
Speaker 13 (27:58):
No, I just made it literally on the side of
the truck, hanging off the edge and we pull up
and you're it's like, we're it's like a real rescue thing.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
It's wild.
Speaker 5 (28:07):
I remember he's complaining about the rescue wild, we're rescues.
Speaker 2 (28:10):
I remember Rich had this badass raptor and he was
afraid to get it.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
He went into the water like gingerly.
Speaker 5 (28:16):
Yeah, he was like, well, I didn't get struck, so
I was careful and I made it.
Speaker 16 (28:26):
Here are you guys talking about like weird things your
bosses have made? Show Like one time my boss was like, hey,
it would be really funny if you repelled off the
four story building that we work in and you've never
done it before?
Speaker 5 (28:42):
Could you do that for us? And I? And then I.
Speaker 10 (28:45):
Did in a superhero.
Speaker 5 (28:48):
Yeah, I was wearing spandex.
Speaker 16 (28:51):
When I'm passing all these like at the time there
was a bank underneath us and they can only see
crutch and but coming down on their windows.
Speaker 1 (29:02):
Okay, who was that? That was rich?
Speaker 13 (29:04):
Right?
Speaker 1 (29:04):
Because I can't recall it. Ask you to do that?
You can't. You can't. Was it me?
Speaker 3 (29:07):
That was me?
Speaker 5 (29:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (29:09):
Well yeah, because I can't. Like, wow, I can't. First
of all, when I think of that video, when I
think of were you doing that? That is unbelievable that
you did that. There's no way a that we would
that would even leave that idea would leave the room
now because you would think the insurance purposes, the lawsuits.
Speaker 5 (29:25):
Well, we did break the building, did we did we
like off a bunch of the roof. Yeah.
Speaker 16 (29:28):
No, there's still like a big hole right next to
the heart sign.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
You could see it.
Speaker 16 (29:33):
But it was like I pitched things like oh, I
could go jump in the pool at the hotel store,
and then whoever it was, was like, what have we
got somebody to help.
Speaker 1 (29:42):
You repel off the roof?
Speaker 5 (29:44):
And I was like, yeah, that's a great idea.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
I was so scared. Different man, let's do it again.
That video will put it during the speed dating thing.
You come down right there.
Speaker 16 (29:59):
Thanks guys.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
Oh man, I'm sorry about that.
