Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi'd you day, you're on the air. Good morning. What's
going on?

Speaker 2 (00:04):
So my friend just got out of a relationship, which
it's totally fine, of course, but now she's suddenly blowing
up my phone like she wants to hang out every
single night, but when she was with her ex, like
she barely made time for me, and then like now
all of a sudden, he's playing this spens of trips
and dinners and I'm what, like, supposed to draw everything
for her, and it's super frustrating because she still lives

(00:26):
at home, she doesn't pay rent, she like doesn't get
how tight money is for the rest of the people
in her life, and like, I don't want to sound mean,
but it's starting to get really noying. So I'm just wondering, like,
how do I even bring this up to her without
sounding like a bad friend.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
That's tough because it's like she's she's obviously wanting to
get back out there and get her mind off of
this breakup. I don't know if it was like a
messy one or not, but I can completely understand your frustration.
It's like, dang, girl, you didn't want to hang out
with me when you had your man but now all
of a sudden, you want to be in my phone
all the time. What else that does happen?

Speaker 4 (00:58):
It happens?

Speaker 3 (00:59):
Does it happened?

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Life?

Speaker 3 (01:00):
So it's like it's a weird that's.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
A truck, she's available.

Speaker 5 (01:03):
I mean, is it more? Is your problem more that
she wants to hang out all the time now or
that she wants to do really expensive stuff that she's
like insensitive to, like the budget.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
It's kind of both, like I feel a little like
I understand when she was with her ex that she
didn't like she had to make time for him and
there was lost time for her other friends. But it's
still like, wow, I'm you know, the first person you dropped,
Like you come to when you've been dropped like that,
it's like, okay, well where was I when when you
were with your man? But yeah, the other part is, yeah,

(01:34):
she's doing all these expensive things. Like I say like expensive,
I really mean like expensive. And I'm like, girl, like
no one else has this kind of money, Like what
are you doing?

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Let me tell you something that's so relatable that this
happened the other day. My sister was telling me the
story very so, first of all, the boyfriend thing I think,
like Kyle said, that's part of that happens, that's part
of life, that's so common. But the money thing. So,
my sister has this group of friends to these women
that have all she works in Hollywood and with she's
got deals with Netflix and stuff, and all these women.
Let's say there's five women. They've all sold their companies

(02:07):
in media for millions, thirty forty million dollars. Yes, And
but before they sold their companies, they were this close
group of friends and they would go to dinner like
once some months out like how you and your friends, see, right,
But now these women have made so much money, so
they'll go to dinner and my sister goes and they
order four or five bottles of wine, They eat whatever
they want. They go to fancy restaurants in LA. They

(02:29):
split the bill and my sisters Like last time I
wore my bill was four hundred dollars. It was just
for me. So the last one they had my sisters,
I canceled and she thinks they all got mad at her.
I can't do that. I can't go to dinner. It's
spend four hundred dollars, right.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
I would think that you would be like good enough
friends with your friends though, to be able to be like, hey,
can we like go to zips instead?

Speaker 5 (02:52):
Yeah, I really want to hang out with you. Can
we do X Y Z instead?

Speaker 4 (02:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (02:57):
I think you do. Like I think it is a
bummer that happens in relationships where you get ditch when
they start dating someone new. But that does happen, and
you do like to be a good friend. You do
still just need to be there for your friend because
now they're looking for that support. And that's the greatest
thing about friendship is be there to support each other.
But also, like I think also if they are that
good of a friend, they will understand that your budget

(03:18):
is different than theirs and if you want to hang out,
we got to do something different, or.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
They can cover for you if they want to cover
for you. If they offer, then may okay. If you're buying,
no problem.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
I love it when one of my friends says that.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
I'll pick up the tab.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
Okay, big baller, I'm gonna argue with you.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
You ever go to dinner with a friend that's got
a lot of money and then they want to split it.
Yes's time all the time.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
That's my brother, Jalen. I'm like your rich uncle over here.
What do you mean I have to pay.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
For my bill? You're my brother.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
Why aren't you paying for me?

Speaker 4 (03:47):
Do you remember when I talked about going out to
dinner with my multime million dollar friend and they got
like the really good steak I bought dinner, and I
talked about on the show because I didn't know it
was going to be that expensive. It was like a
nine hundred dollars dinner. Oh it's terrible. I talked about
the year. He must have heard about it because he
sent me a gift cards. That dam a little bad
about that man.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
All right, get well, thanks for sure that without it.
Be a good friend.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Okay, thanks so much for your health.

Speaker 4 (04:15):
That was a great thing.
