(00:03):
in the studio. Good morning, Kara, Good morning.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Tell us a little bit. Don't read the letters, hip,
but just tell us a little bit about this person.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
Who are they to you?
Speaker 3 (00:11):
So I met Melissa about twenty five years ago. We
worked together. We worked together for a lot of years,
and she's just she's been a light in my life
the whole time. And she had this grueling corporate job
and she decided about a year ago to leave and
(00:35):
so she could spend more time with Sam, and she
started a pet sitting slash dog walking business. And over
the last few months, she's been struggling to make ends meet,
and she's constantly scrambling at the end of the month
to make rends on time, and she's been door dashing
when she can supplement, and she's just she's tired, she's
(00:58):
exhausted mentally and gale and now she doesn't have extra
time to be with Sam, and so she's just been struggling.
And I thought, you know, maybe we could give her
a little boost, and.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
I think we can do some good things here for her. Okay,
all right, So we're gonna get her on the phone
right now. Okay, Okay, is she home?
Speaker 3 (01:19):
Yeah, she's supposed to be. I told her she's waiting
for a package that I sent her that she has
to sign for.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
When you're sneaky like that, that's good.
Speaker 4 (01:43):
Hi, you preach Melissa Myers. I'm sorry that I've missed
your call.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
Yeah, she's not so up. An she have salad? She's struggling.
She doesn't necessarily what else? Hey man calling? No one's
going to say that in their outcome.
Speaker 5 (02:00):
Melissa Myers, I'm sorry that I've missed your call.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
She's she's like, who is this? What's to say? When
you call? Can you?
Speaker 2 (02:07):
It's like one hold pribly he I just put it away. Hello,
good morning, John, is just Melissa Myers.
Speaker 5 (02:14):

Speaker 1 (02:16):

Speaker 4 (02:21):

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Are those dogs from your dog sitting business? Or are those.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
Do you have any idea what we're calling you?
Speaker 5 (02:34):
No, I'm not. I'm not really sure what's going on
right now?
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Okay? How many dogs are there right now?
Speaker 4 (02:40):
I just I have a small crew today, so I
have four and then my own So fine.
Speaker 2 (02:46):

Kara's in the studio. She was telling us about your
business and we wanted to bring you on and advertise
your dog sitting business.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
Hi, what is do you want to advertise your business?
What's your business?
Speaker 4 (03:03):
So the business is Positive Vibe Pet Tribe. So we're
all about positive vibes over here, and we I do
in home pet sitting with dogs walking. We have a
little Sunday sun day where I take a group of
pups out or three hours to different dog tarks and
out for pub tubs and all things pets.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Okay, So Kara actually wrote us a letter about you,
and we asked her to come in the studio and
read you the letter. But I'm wondering if you need
if you can go into a different room so you
can hear, because I have six dogs in my house
and I know how hard it is to be on
a phone call with them all do Can you go
into another room or can you let all the dogs
run free in the street?
Speaker 5 (03:47):
Yeah? I can let them run.
Speaker 4 (03:49):
Free in the backyard. How is that?
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (03:51):
Then she's going the bathroom, which is always.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
The quietest end. Okay, good, good, good, Because you really
want you to hear this letter. I set okay, Carara,
whenever you're ready.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
Dear John, Jay, and Rich, I'm writing to nominate Melissa,
a single mom who works so hard to provide for
her son Sam. She struggles daily and works extremely hard.
She recently left the corporate world to launch her pet
sitting business, but because money is tight, she has been
supplementing by door dashing. She's been struggling a lot over
(04:21):
the last several months. Rent is a huge dresser and
her car which helps her provide for her family. Her
car has issues with its doors and needs two new tires.
Melissa son Sam is growing so fast. He's six foot
one at fourteen years old, and she can't keep up
with his clothing and shoes. He loves basketball, especially the
(04:42):
Phoenix Suns. He plays himself and is always in need
of new shoes. I'm worried that with all of her expenses,
Melissa and Sam won't have much of.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
A Christmas and that breaks my heart.
Speaker 3 (04:55):

never known a more deserving person. Please consider granting this
