You're listening to John Jay and Rich, wake your.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Ass John Jay and Rich call us at eight seven
seven nine three seven one O four seven text us,
text jj R whatever you want to say to the
number nine six eight nine three. And I was in
Atlanta in at l a couple of days ago, and

(00:55):
a lot of stuff happened. But one of the stories
I want to tell you about is going through security check,
you know, t S and I had you know, I
had to carry on bag and I had a backpack
full of stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
And I'm kind of going through this.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
I haven't really explored it or said that much about
it on the air, but I'm really liking to make
my own trail mix, right, okay, right, And I like
to make my own trail mix with whatever we have
in the house. I have a gonda, like just go
to sprouts, my wife, go to sprouts and take all
I want to do it like whatever is in the
house kind of deal.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
What would that be?

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Just like cashews and then almonds and pistachios and maybe
some raisins. I mean, just whatever's in there. And I
usually put it in one of those plastic bags. It's
like a gallon, you know, it's huge, and I put
it in my backpack and that's what I snack on
on the plane.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
And so I was going through security and I got
buzzed or you know, you do that thing when they
go this bag is this?

Speaker 2 (01:42):
I was like, that's mine and the guy goes, we're
gonna have to re scan your nuts.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
We're gonna have to re scan your bag, and all
by myself, I was.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Like, ah, rescan my notts, to rescan my bag?

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Hilarious. And the guy just looked at me, say it ouloud?

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Did you say that?

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Because I was the way he said.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
It was so much like that's what she said, you
know what I mean, Like it was so out loud.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
But anyway, and then I went to Atlanta.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
So I land in Atlanta and I was going to
this event at this guy's house, and it was an
hour and a half drive out of Atlanta in a
little town called Rome, Georgia, never heard of. It's the
kind of town that where Jack Reacher would like fight
the police, right.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
It's a small, small town.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
And I was there by myself, and I was staying
at this holiday inn, which was in the middle of nowhere.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Like it looked like serial killers.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
It looked like the long island of Gone Girl's Express,
like where all the bushes were in the market. Yeah,
it was just like I was in the middle of nowhere,
and I called my wife and I was like, this
is like kind of scary.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
I go.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
But it's like eight o'clock a night, and I haven't
eaten yet and it's three hours ahead, right, So I'm
driving to look for a place to eat, and there's
a I looked, there's an outback steakhouse to my left,
and I've been out back one hundred times.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
I love out back, and I'm gonna go there.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
And I looked to my right there's a Texas roadhouse
and I'm like, I've never been there. Let me just experienced,
maybe something new will happen. And I've never been to
Texas Roadhouse and I walk in and the lady goes,
how many in your party? And I go, chiss me.
She goes, okay, and then she just would you like
to pick out a steak? And I was like, what
should you just pick out one? And there's a window

(03:14):
with a whole bunch of ribbis and New York strips whatever,
and I go, what do you mean pick out a steak?
Pick out a steak and we'll cook it for you.
And I'm like, is this normal? I was like, Oh,
I'll take this one. And she gives me this little ticket. Right,
you give me a little ticket. She goes, give this
to your server and it'll match your steak and you
get So I sat down, I gave the server my ticket,
and then she brought me out the steak and it

(03:36):
was freaking fantastic, and I took pictures and I had
the bread and the sides, and I was like, this
is great. I gotta go back here. And I text
my wife, called my wife and goes, do we have
these in our town? She's like yeah. So when I
got back to the mainland of Arizona, I said, first
thing I said, I said, we got to go to
Texas Roadhouse.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
So I tell my wife and my kids.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
I get in the car and we go to Texas
Roadhouse and I'm like, why when you walk in they take
you to the window and have you pick out a steak.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
So I walk in and I got.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
All nervous, and I went online and I made a
pre reservume you to get in line to get the table,
you know what I mean. I get there and there's
no problem. There's some whatever, So I get it. They
say as soon as we walk in, they walk us
past the window steak to our booth. And I'm like, hey, hey, hey,
I go. Aren't you gonna uh ask me to pick
out a steak? Oh?

Speaker 3 (04:23):
If you want to do? If I want to, I go.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
I was at the one in Georgia and they made
a big deal about me picking out the steak. They're like, oh,
do you want to do that? Well, I'm already sitting
down forget. It was totally different.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
Totally different, man, but it was still delicious. It was fantastic.

Speaker 5 (04:40):
And I read something today Texas Roadhouse replaced Olive Garden
is America's top fest casual restaurant.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
My favorite restaurant casual dining.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
I want to go back to last night. My wife
didn't want to go back.

Speaker 6 (04:50):
There's always a line, right, I know there was a
line at Texas Road. I've never I've been to Texas
Road has a million times. They've never asked me if
I wanted a steak, you gotta go.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
To the Georgia. Then they have them all sit there
in a window.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
Right, you just have to ask.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Maybe.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
I've only been twice. And and the first time they
gave me a ticket and had me pick out will stick.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
I was amazing.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
I got the biggest one they had. The one they
had there was a twenty two hours ruby. I got
that one. The one here they only had a sixteen hours.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
See George's got it down there, George's Texas Roadhouse. Imagine
what it would be like in Texas.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
So that by the way, And I was texting with Nick,
our producer, about this on the because you know Nick's
wife works for a co clear is how he said
co clear the implants hearing in plants. Remember Lou Frigno
is in here and he's a spokesperson for it. So
I get on the plane to fly back from Atlanta
here and there's two seats. I got my seat, and
I'm all excited because it's not Southwest, you know, so

(05:43):
I means you do, I don't have to stress.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
I have a seat, right.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
So when I get on my get on the plane
to get to my seat, there's a woman there and
she's sitting next to me, and she has a humongous
German shepherd with her humongous and it says, do not
pet right.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
I'm like, oh, man, like it's one of those therapy dogs.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
It's almost like so irresistible, like pet the dog right.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
And this it's just her and I we have there's
just two seats, her and I. Her German shepherd is
taking up like where my feet go right, And so
I'm kind of like, you.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
Know, okay, I love Papa.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
I get I love dogs and stuff, but you know,
shouldn't it be a smaller dog.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Probably shouldn't you be sitting somewhere?

Speaker 2 (06:20):
And then she gets up and she goes, she says,
I can hear her voices a little different accent, kind
of can't place it just yet, and she goes, is
it better for you if you sit on the aisle?

Speaker 3 (06:29):
And I'm like, well, no, I want a window because
I want to sleep.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
And then she she goes, huh it turns out and
she points her ears and she has the co clear implants.
She goes, I'm deaf. She says, I'm deaf, with the
deaf accent kind of you know. I'm like, oh, okay.
And then I'm like, oh, I'm gonna chill out. So
I sit down. The dog is at my feet. She
starts to open up a book and read her book
on the It's Hitler the mind mind can yeah whatever, right,

(06:53):
And I'm like, this is so weird, right, like do
you read that in public?

Speaker 3 (06:57):
I don't know. I don't know writ It's.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
A big book with hints about is it like a
it's like his manifesto?

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Right.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
So she's deaf, her dog is taking the place from
my feet go and she's reading this thick book on Hitler.
And she puts the book down, opens up Facebook, and
I'm trying to, like, you know, I lean back, trying
to read what she's She starts posting. She's frantically posting
something on Facebook about our government, and.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
I'm like, pictures up setting the nick. I go, what
the hell's going on here?

Speaker 1 (07:23):
Ute's weird.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Then and then because the dog's at my feet. It's
a three and a half hour flight. I have to
have I have no room, so I put my seat
back a little.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
I have to. Then the lady behind me starts punching
my seat.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
I would only move my seat back because the dog
is taking my space.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
It was Southwest.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
It was so frustrating. It was so frustrating.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
I wanted to complain. It was on Delta. I wanted
to complain to Delta. But then I was like, I
was like, I felt bad.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
This woman.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
You know, she's goes she needs a dog. Damn, man,
I don't know what. It's not like the dog can
talk to her.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
It's like, you know, he said, he said he's going
to take the window. He said, he's taking the window.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
It was a weird, weird experience. Man, But let me
tell you. Let me tell you.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
Did you have a life changing experience in Atlanta? Because
she ever really talked about what you were doing there?

Speaker 2 (08:15):
Oh? Yeah, So I got invited to go to this
thing and from this guy. His name is Jesse Itzler.
You guys ever heard of him. His wife is the
one that invented spanks. You never heard of spanks? Yeah,
and he invented Zicico cocoa water, coconut water, and he
invented Marquis jets. And he's a huge motivational speaker and
he speaks all over and he's great. Him and I've

(08:35):
been damming each other for about eight or nine years.
And he had this event that had to do with
It was just sauna and coldplunch.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
That's all sauna and cold punch all day.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
And it was at his house and it was like great,
and I went and there was about probably under thirty people.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
They said thirty, but I think it was less than
thirty people.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
And it was all these young entrepreneurs and all these
business people that all own, I mean amazing things and
from pre workout you know, to electrolyte companies to hotels
to all this stuff. Well, it was funny because I
was there for the sauna. Yeah, they were there to
pick his brain because there were many Yeah, it was
a lot of networking because there were many moments where

(09:15):
you would just he would just sit down and talk
to you about his life, Like he tells the story
of when his wife got wired the one point two
billion dollars when she sold her company.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
What that was like to see the wire.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
You're like, if you watched White Lotus season finale last night,
the girl at the end, she gets five million. I
don't know if I ruined anything, but you're watching her
go to her bank account to refresh and she got
five million.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
They did that, it got.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
One point two billion, right, Yeah, it's a It was
a crazy, but it was.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
It was pretty much priceless. I'd love to spending time
with the guy.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
Now he's coming here, I'm gonna I'm gonna meet him
first movie before he speaks here a podcast.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
Oh that's happening. I already confirmed that.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Because I had nothing else. Everyone else was like trying
to pitch him products and stuff. And then when it
was my turn to get it's a lot. You know,
I had so much anxiety that okay, everyone get up
and tell you about yourself.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
That didn't kill you. And this is what I was
trying to tell you guys. Last week. I signed up
for something I normally wouldn't do.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
Like, my wife was very excited that I stepped out
of my zone, my comfort zone to go do this event.
And I only did it because I was on no
sleep when I agreed to it. Right, Like, I can't
say how many times I tried to cancel before I
went to this event, but I'm really glad I did.

Speaker 6 (10:25):
That's good.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
Yeah, yeah, what's coming? Three things you need to know?

Speaker 5 (10:27):
Kyle, you may not be able to pay your friends
on your favorite app anymore. I'll tell you why next
with John Jaye Rich.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
Call the show and join the Fun eight.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
John Jane Rich.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Yeah, I put on my Instagram stories pictures of the
dog and the Hitler book that I just talked about
from my point of view on the plane, so you
can see the dog in my space. So if you
go to Instagram, John j. Van As, you can see
the pictures. Also, Peyton and Kadem did the couple's podcast.
It dropped yesterday, So wherever you get our podcast John

(11:00):
Rich on demand, you can hear Peyton and Kadem. I
have about nine minutes left of the podcast. I've been
joining you so far at Peyton. Nice job.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
I heard the whole thing. I think you sound very cute.
The way you talk about your man, oh, and the
way you talk to your man is very cute. He
does not talk hardly at all.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
What the three things we need to know?

Speaker 4 (11:16):
TikTok hasn't sold to a US buyer yet.

Speaker 5 (11:18):
But over the weekend, you may have noticed your TikTok
was still working and it wasn't banned. That's because President
Trump extended the deadline for them to do that, once
again saying a potential deal to avert the band just
requires more work. There's a bunch of buyers obviously interested
in striking a deal, like Amazon, Oracle, Apple, and Blackstone.
They all want in, but the Chinese government also has
to approve the deal before it can go ahead. So

(11:39):
the plan is in motion and we still get to
have a fun tiktoks.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
In the meantime, the.

Speaker 5 (11:44):
Most story program in women's college basketball, Yukon won it's
twelfth national championship yesterday, dethroning South Carolina eighty two fifty nine.
When it comes to the men's championship, the final four
is down to the final two. The Florida Gators will
take on the Houston Cougars in the men's final tonight.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
Gotta tell you about that one of the ties the
Florida Caators. Do you guys know anything about this story
with the coach? He played basketball study Slope. Oh, that's cool,
he's from here. Then he went to San Francisco and
now he's the head coach. It's freaking to me. I
love those kind of stories, you know, so he's like
he's like thirty or root for them.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
I didn't really have a dog in the fight.

Speaker 6 (12:20):
But now I'm like, I cried when I watched the
Women's championship yesterday. Oh kind of just bring you back
to your college basketball days, and I just made me
so mad. I wish I worked harder in high school
or in college. I'm like, dang, that could have been me.

Speaker 5 (12:34):
Let that be a lesson any high schoolers and college
ballers listening now. If your friend brazy coffee or paid
for your dinner and you want to send him some
money on the Zell app, you're kind of out of luck.
Person to person money transfers are no longer available through
Zel their standalone mobile app.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
That's weird.

Speaker 5 (12:51):
You can now access the service through your own bank's website.
It's still the Zell service, but you have to go
through your bank's mobile app. I know it's kind of weird,
but apparently Zell always had the idea to go through
banks apps and whatnot, but they created the app as
a backup in case the banks didn't like buy into
the service, and most banks have bought into the service.

Speaker 4 (13:13):
Mine hasn't.

Speaker 6 (13:14):
But oh really, I'm like Vella's. You said that I
was worried that Zell was gonna be gone forever.

Speaker 5 (13:19):
Yeah, if your bank is in on Zell, you should
still be fine. You'll just do the same thing through
your own banks mobile app. So and a lot of
people have had freaked out over that, but yeah, don't worry.

Speaker 4 (13:29):
If you're there, you're good. And that's three things you
need to know.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
Let's get to pay his predictions, Peyton, what's the vibe today?

Speaker 6 (13:35):
I'm gonna be talking to about what your late night
thoughts are based on your zodiac side, Abby.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Good morning, good morning?

Speaker 3 (13:43):
What's going on with your saying?

Speaker 6 (13:45):
Okay? Abby? So when it comes to you and your
late night thoughts, Aquarius, you're inventing a new app in
your mind. You're questioning the simulation, and suddenly you're crying
about the state of the world. Your thoughts are quirky,
brilliant and slightly unhinged in the best way. So when
you're in those late night thoughts, you're not sleeping, you're
unlocking new levels of existence.

Speaker 7 (14:07):
Yeah, that makes sense.

Speaker 6 (14:08):
Yeah, my little weirdos are my aquariuses for sure.

Speaker 7 (14:14):
All right, thank you, thanks Ammy?

Speaker 3 (14:16):
What was that Mike?

Speaker 7 (14:18):
Good morning?

Speaker 8 (14:19):
Wrong with you?

Speaker 2 (14:20):
John?

Speaker 9 (14:20):
Jay Virgos?

Speaker 6 (14:21):
All right, Virgos virgo. Your late night thoughts are basically
a productivity boot camp. You're just organizing your thoughts. You're
planning your day down to the minute, and your critiquing
past decisions. Like it's yelped. You want sleep, but your
brain wants bullet points and perfection, and you give overachiever
energy when you can't sleep.

Speaker 9 (14:40):
Guess it again, that's what I do.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
How about libras, Yeah, Kyle, my libra.

Speaker 6 (14:50):
When it comes to late night, it's it's two am,
and you're still mentally trying to respond to that one text.
You're out, youre rethinking an outfit that you didn't even wear,
planning your dream wedding and wondering if you should change
your tire vibe. It's indecision, but make it fashion for
my libras.

Speaker 4 (15:03):
When you're up late at night, your mind does wander.

Speaker 6 (15:07):
Yeah, all over the place.

Speaker 4 (15:09):
Well then what am I to wear tomorrow?

Speaker 6 (15:11):
How I feel that?

Speaker 3 (15:12):
How about for Pisces?

Speaker 6 (15:13):
Pisces? Richie is my Pisces you are fully immersed in fantasy.
You've imagined three alternative universes, written a love story in
your head, and now you're vibing to this sad playlist
like you're in an A twenty four film. You escape
reality harder than any of the other signs.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
When it comes to your late night thoughts, I wish
I was that deep. I'd definitely think about songs though, Okay,
to the point where I go, I'm going to turn
off the radio, like, oh, it's not all okay. That's
how deep I get. It's shame.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
Good morning, Harper. What's your sign?

Speaker 1 (15:43):
All right?

Speaker 6 (15:43):
Harper? When you're up late at night, your brain just
goes into detective mode. So you're deep diving through emotional things.
You're plotting revenge or maybe low key stalking someone on
Instagram or something. So you might be spiraling or healing
or both. You're intense, mysterious, and probably the reason someone
else can't sleep at night.

Speaker 10 (16:00):
M M.

Speaker 11 (16:02):
Okay, thank you, welcome, Hey Reggie, Hey, Hey JN dre
what's your sign?

Speaker 6 (16:09):
Reggietius sagittarius. So when it comes to you here late
night thoughts, you were just googling flights to BALI deciding
to quit your job and then mentally planning a van
life road trip all before three am. Your brain doesn't rest,
it just roams. Your thoughts are a highlight reel of
wild dreams, deep conversations, and random philosophical tangents.

Speaker 12 (16:31):
Yeah, I've been thinking.

Speaker 6 (16:33):
Yeah, that's the worst when you're just trying to sleep
and your brain just keeps keeps on going, doesn't turn off.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
Yeah, thank you, Thanks Reggie. How about for Leo's.

Speaker 6 (16:43):
Leo's When we're up late at night, we're laying in
bed like it's our own personal stage. We are reliving
every compliment that we got earlier in the day, imagining
our Vogue cover shoot, and planning a soft launch post
with a maximum sleigh. Our brain at night is full, glam,
dramatic and never boring.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Okay, if we didn't get to your sign, they're all
posted on our website, John Jay and Rich dot com.
One of the things I did also when I was Atlanta,
when I told you I went, I was at I
was at this.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
I don't even want to call it a retreat, a
sauna retreat? Does that make sense? What it was?

Speaker 2 (17:14):
It was like it was there were three saunas. There
there was a hot tub and a cold plunge and
a swimming pool and you would sauna for twenty minutes
in this big sauna, right, and then you would go
into the pool, jump in the pool. Then you could
cold plunge, hot tub, and then go back into sauna.
And they had a wood sauna and then they had

(17:36):
these two portable saunas that I thought were really really interesting.
So I was asking about those saunas, and those satas
are for sale, like you can, like a lot of people.
Your SNAs are catching on. Everyone wants a suna. Horrible
sauna portable. It was really interesting. So like it's like
a tent. It's like a tent, but you have a
hardwood floor and then you have the rocks and the steam.

(17:56):
So it's not like infrared sna Okay, it's like the
old school, like.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Well that's all the research anyway, is all right.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
From these kinds of saunas, and so you can buy them.
And I said, how long does it take to put
in your house? The guy goes like ten minutes, like
ten minutes. So you can build a sauna in your backyard.
So if you want, it's all day Sauna Company or
All Day Sauna Co, All Day Sauna?

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Did you get in one?

Speaker 3 (18:18):
I got it.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
I got to one, and it works just the same.
It's really hot.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
Like my sauna is an infrared sauna and that gets
to one hundred and seventy five degrees. These are a
minimum of two hundred. Yeah, it was a whole different
ball game. Let me tell you something. It's a it's.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
A whole different book.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
In there for twenty minutes.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
I was in there.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
I was there all day. That's why it's called all
day Sauna. I was in there all day. It was
such a fascinating thing. So then I'm telling my wife everything.
You kind of brought this up a little bit ago,
and my wife was like, you should do something like
that at our house because this guy Jesse did it
at his house.

Speaker 3 (18:51):
Right, he had people at his house.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
Yeah, and you could teach a class on them.

Speaker 5 (18:54):
Sounds like John's Nightmare, it does.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
But I also thought, because he had thirty people there
and he had three sunas, I have one sauna and
that fits three people, right, So I thought, wonder if
I could do something like that and I would have people,
like if I had like, say, five people, that you
listen to the audience and that and you know, have
you come? And I put three people in the sauna
that put some of the cold punch and won the
hot tub. And then I kind of do my own

(19:17):
version of that. But his was all day. I do
maybe an hour.

Speaker 3 (19:21):
Yeah, that's part because he sat around.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
He sat around on he hads a huge basketball court
and he sat around the basketball court and just did
like a Q and A with people, right, Like, so
if I should literally copy that and I do a
Q and A, people gonna talk.

Speaker 3 (19:33):
About what are you asking?

Speaker 1 (19:36):
What are you watching on TV?

Speaker 4 (19:37):
Like the live version of an ask anything.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
So it was really interesting. If you're a fan of
his name is Jesse Itzler, and I'm telling you check it.
If you don't know who he is, follow him because
you know, there's all these motivational people, like even like
Tony Robins. I gotta want to put down Tony. I
love Tony Robins. You guys know, I love Tony Robins, right,
But Tony Robbins tells you how to do stuff. This
guy has done stuff, you know, I mean, like Tony Robbins.

(20:00):
All you know about him is he's always been a
motivational speaker, like this guy started companies, sold companies. His
wife started a company, sold a company, like you know
what I mean. So it's more like it's kind of
like those people that like go to school their whole
life and then they go teach school. Yeah on like
a but they never lived life. Wait a minute, what's
your what's your You have no experience in this, do
you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (20:21):
Is his house killer?

Speaker 3 (20:23):
Well, we weren't allowed in.

Speaker 13 (20:25):
The rule.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
You had to be.

Speaker 4 (20:29):
Oh no, no, no, not in my home.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
Well this is he lives in Atlanta, and he's got
several homes around the country. And this this is on
eight hundred acres in the woods. So there was a
couple of cabins. There were trails like you would sauna
you sauna cold plunge, hot tub, Sauna cold plunch, hot tub.
Then you have this lunch that was amazing, and then
we went on a four mile hike and then we
went sauna cold plunche, saun a cold plunge.

Speaker 5 (20:52):
So then you stay in one of the cabins, like
or are you sharing it with other people?

Speaker 4 (20:56):
Are you by yourself?

Speaker 3 (20:57):
Nobody went in a cab You were there for the day.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
Oh and then you go back to like your hotel.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
I went to my hotel at the holiday and the
one that looked like it was right in the middle
of where there's probably thirty to forty dead bodies in
the woods.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
Right now, that's fun. Yeah, you call the police, go hey,
find everybody. Everybody's missing there right here behind you take
back there and you'll find in fact, there was one time.
So I'm still obsessed with my ten thousand steps, right.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
So when I get there on Wednesday night, I'm at
like six thousand steps, and I already went to Texas
Roadhouse and I walk in. When I get to back
to my hotel, I'm at a holiday in express and
I'm in the woods like there's it literally looks like
the perfect place for a serial killer's eye body, all right,
and it's dark. It's like now it's ten o'clock at night,
which is seven o'clock our time, right, So I'm still

(21:40):
alive and feeling good, but I need to get my steps.
So when I go to the counter, I don't want
to walk around the hotel. So I was going to
ask the person to front desk, is there a gym here?
But there's a woman in front of me and a
blond woman. She's by herself, and I'm not paying attention
to what she's asking the person of the counter. And
the woman goes and starts. She's wearing like spandac whatever,
like you know, leggings or whatever. And she walks, turns

(22:02):
and I go to the guy. I go, hey, is
there a gym here, a fitness that He goes, yeah,
right down the hall. So I go thanks. So I
start the fault and it turns out I'm right behind her. Okay,
it's dark, it's a scary place. She goes she's going
to the gym too, and.

Speaker 4 (22:16):
I'm right behind him.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
And I'm wearing like I'm not I haven't changed clothes,
Like I'm wearing my pants and a shirt and shoes,
like I'm not dressed to work out. But I need
to get my steps in like I do. Here, I
just I figure, I just get on a treadmill. It's
a small, small gym. It's the size of Kyle's studio.
Back there is the whole gym. It's got some weights
and it's got two treadmills. She gets on the treadmill

(22:39):
and I get on the treadmill next to her. I
dressed in normal clothes. This guy yes, So I'm like, oh,
I go, oh, hey, hey. So I'm trying to get
my steps in and she's like, uh huh, and then
she puts her headphones in. Right, I don't have headphones
because I didn't I came from the restaurant. So I
just start walking on the treadmill and I'm walking and
I'm walking, and then I'm like, I'm on a whoop.

(23:01):
So I'm trying to connect my whoop to the phone
and I have to hit refresh and it takes a
long time for the whoop to connect. So now I'm
at seven thousand steps and I'm like, okay, maybe i'll
just go for ten minutes. I should be able to
get there. Ten minutes goes by and nothing. Half an
hour goes by, half an hour, but it's not connecting,
so I don't know where I am. So I thought
maybe I'll do a half hour. Forty five minutes goes by.

(23:21):
Now I'm sweating, right, and she's still on the treadmill,
and I can tell she doesn't want to be on
the treadmill aingmore. And it just hits me that she
is scared to get off the treadmill because I'm.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
Gonna follow her.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
Like it's me the treadmill and the window to outside,
right and the blinds are closed, and I'm just walking
white and I'm like.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
Oh my god, I hit me. I go.

Speaker 2 (23:43):
She's scared because she's like, I'm looking at her numbers
because I want to see if I'm walking further than
her and whatever. Right, and I'm looking at her numbers,
and I'm like it's a weird, like she should have
been done a long time ago, right, I could look
at her and she's like, she's like, oh, there's this
sicko next and he was gonna kill me.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
And I almost want to go, hey, do you watch
gun girls?

Speaker 1 (24:05):
What's here?

Speaker 6 (24:06):
I was gonna say, you're in these what is? And
that's that gives the man or the bear theory?

Speaker 2 (24:11):
So the bear I hit, I hit refreshed on my
phone and it connects and I now have ten and
forty one steps. I'm like, thank god, I hit stop
on the treadmill and I get off and she goes.
She takes her head phone out and she goes have
a great night, like all energy, like she's like, he's
not gonna kill me.

Speaker 6 (24:31):
What you look like?

Speaker 2 (24:33):
Right, go back to call my wife and I go, hey, Blake,
I think this lady thinks I was going to kill her.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
Yeah, I mean, you know she's sticking. What's this guy
doing working out at ten pm? Irregular clothes? Right next
to me?

Speaker 13 (24:46):
Right?

Speaker 4 (24:47):
And you know you basically followed her from right not.

Speaker 2 (24:51):
None of that was on purpose, Like when she started
to walk to the and the guy goes right around
the corner. I was as close as you are to Kyle,
so I'm walking behind you. That's too that's uncomfortable. And
it said a dark hallway and the holiday and express
that good morning moment.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
Dart you were day with John Jay and Rich.

Speaker 4 (25:05):
I wake up with my favorite artists and.

Speaker 6 (25:08):
Say that it's Billie Eilish, it's Teddy Swims and you're
listening to John Jay and Rich.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
We're going to do some sacks and some hacken game. Uh.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
In a new poll, twenty six percent of people say
it's been longer than a decade ten years since they've
written a handwritten letter.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
Anybody here handwritten letter?

Speaker 4 (25:28):
I write them all the time.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
Thank you?

Speaker 3 (25:30):
Yeah, okay, I say different than a note, like a
like a letter.

Speaker 4 (25:34):
I just wrote one with my daughter over the weekend.

Speaker 3 (25:36):
You did. Okay, what about you, Peyton?

Speaker 6 (25:38):
I wrote them in college, I had a pen pal
in prison.

Speaker 3 (25:41):
That was helping me when we were in prison.

Speaker 6 (25:42):
No, I had a pen pal in prison and he
was helping me with my senior capstone. So we wrote
pretty often.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
No.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
Well, then you guys aren't part of the twenty six percent.
A new poll also found two percent of people think
they can outrun a horse in a one hundred meters dash.
Twenty seven percent of people are company they can outrun
a crow. A man in Canada is fighting this ridiculous
parking ticket. I saw this in the news. It's so crazy.
So the city added a bus stop in front of
his house.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
Overnight.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
He was parked there when it wasn't a bus stop.
Then they put a bus stop sign, and then they
gave him a ticket.

Speaker 3 (26:14):
Oh my gosh, it was asleep.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
A man in New Hampshire walked into a family dollar
on Saturday night, totally naked only wearing a surgical mask,
and he shouted hey and then he ran out.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
Huh okay, well, at least he's not getting sick. Got
that mask on.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
Cops are looking for him. A company is selling a
stuffed animal called a dino, which will snitch on all
the things your kid tells it in confidence. It has
built an AI chat, bought the records your kids every word.

Speaker 5 (26:44):
But also as a parent, I would buy one.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
A Colorado city is planning to limit residents pet cats
and dogs to four total. You could be grandfathered in
if you already have more than that, but anyone who
exceeds that number in the future will have their pets
seized seized Chinese restaurant Chicago will give you free appetizers
for life if you get a tattoo of their logo

(27:10):
on your body.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
Oh that's pretty strong.

Speaker 3 (27:13):
Appetizers. I want free food no matter what, all time.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
And also I got to make sure the restaurant's gonna
stay open, Like what do they close down?

Speaker 3 (27:22):
What do you have for life?

Speaker 1 (27:22):
Acts rich This is sort of a warning to you
because we're gonna do it. We'll do a little play
school here. We're gonna do a little scenario. Peyton, you
answer the phone, and I'm gonna be a telemarketer, and
then we will discover the hack together. Okay, so answer
your phone. Hello, Oh Hi, how's it going. I'm just
checking with the neighbors. Uh, do you have an alarm currently? Yeah,

(27:45):
a home alarm system that's working. Yeah, okay, good, then
you hang up the phone. That's the answer. So you
whenever somebody asks you on the phone if you have
a home alarm system, say yes, because they are casing
your neighborhood to see if you have an alarm system.
And if you say, you know, they're not gonna sell
you the alarm system, they're just gonna come over to
your house and rober stuff messed up. So that's how

(28:05):
the new break in thing is checking to make sure
they don't even look now before they go to the address,
they just call you up because they can get all
the information and get information from you. Give nobody anything
that is your like life hack. If you need more
on that, it's a John Dreinrich dot com.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
Our phone number eight seven seven nine three seven one
oh four seven. The text line you text JJR whatever's
on your mind to nine six eight ninety three. A
couple comments on the text line about the couple's podcast.
Peyton dropped that yesterday Hern kadeam nine to eight number.
I'm currently listening to the couple's podcast from yesterday. Peyton
Cadem's dynamic are so similar to mine, to my husband's.

(28:41):
I really relate to them. My husband is also an Aquarius.
He and Kadem are so much alike. It was really
nice get you know both of you on yesterday's episode.
Hope you have a great rest of your day.

Speaker 6 (28:48):
Oh that's sweet. I sent the podcast to like our
families and it was kind of fun to hear their
responses too, because it's like Kadeem like it's and you
get a little bit of him in the podcast, but
like his personality shows out in little bits and pieces,
which which is really fun. But it was fun how
they were able to dissect our personalities in the podcast.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
It was a six oh five number. I think Kareem
calms Peyton down. It was the most chill I've ever
heard her. Be great, great podcast. Oh and then the
tax again Kadeem lol.

Speaker 6 (29:18):
Okay, Yeah, he's definitely my zen.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:21):
So you go to wherever you hear podcasts, especially like
the John Jay and Rich on demand podcast. That's where
we drop it. We drop it every Sunday. This Sunday,
is it you or me? This is okay, It's Blake.
Blake and I are going to do this Sunday's podcast,
Are You Prepared?

Speaker 3 (29:36):
You know, her and.

Speaker 2 (29:36):
I got into a massive fight like we've had in
our whole marriage, a huge, like one big, big, big,
big big fight. I think I told you guys about it. It
was something something so stupid about leaving the Sun's game early.
We got into another one on Friday. It was totally different,
and part of me wants to bring it up on
the air here, but then I also want to bring
it up on the podcast because it was so it

(29:58):
was so ridiculous, And if I'm being honest with you,
I'm right the whole time.

Speaker 4 (30:04):
You're always right, John Jay.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
Anyway, So you can always text us, text jj on
whatever you want to say to ninety six eight nine three.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
Okay, you sports? What's happening.

Speaker 5 (30:15):
I'm like deep into the sports mom era of my day,
and honestly like I love it. I like driving ma
kids and sports. I like sitting at their games. I
like chatting with the other parents. I've made friends with
the other parents. It's a social time for me and
my kids are having a great time.

Speaker 4 (30:29):
It's a win win all around.

Speaker 5 (30:31):
But Easton's doing two sports this season, so he's doing
flag football and he's doing baseball, so pretty much every
night of the week we're at some sort of sporting event,
and there's one rotating day of the week where we've
got nothing going on, and those nights are great, but
then the other nights are great too. So I've noticed
a vast difference in the baseball parents and the football parents.

(30:56):
And it almost kind of explains because I've told you
before or like Easton gets really emotional during football, Like
he if someone almost intercepted a ball in the game
on Friday night that he would.

Speaker 4 (31:08):
That he was supposed to receive, he started crying.

Speaker 5 (31:11):
Like he gets very competitive, and when things like don't
work out, he gets really emotional.

Speaker 11 (31:15):
And you know, like I'm trying to find a way
to channel that big those big feelings into like his superpower,
but haven't.

Speaker 4 (31:26):
Desired kind of like figure that out yet.

Speaker 5 (31:28):
But i almost feel like it's the parent's fault because
I've noticed, like at the flag football games, those games
are really exciting and the parents cheer very intensely, like
you're on one side of the field and you're rooting
for one team, you're like God, and it's like it's
it's a lot of energy and it's a lot of
I think pressure for the kids, and the baseball parents

(31:49):
are just so chill, like at the games, they're like, yeah,
good job, and then they cheer good.

Speaker 4 (31:54):
Job for the other team too.

Speaker 5 (31:57):
So if some kid messes up, it does matter because
you're getting cheered for him from both parents. And I've noticed,
like in the baseball games, like Easton does not get
as an emotional and so I'm thinking, like, it's not
it's not him, it's.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
The other No, because you think about it.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
Yeah, so if the past is if he his a
past for him gets intercepted, the parents on the other
team are cheering because essentially the almost to look at it.

Speaker 3 (32:23):
Like it was his mistake. Yeah, but it's not his mistake.
It's the quarterback's mistake right right.

Speaker 5 (32:29):
But it's It's been kind of like fascinating to because
I'm really trying.

Speaker 4 (32:34):
To figure it out.

Speaker 5 (32:34):
Like I hate seeing my kid cry and I don't
like see him upset, But I also want him to
learn how to manage his feelings because that's a big
life skill that you have to learn. Like you can't
just have a meltdown every time things don't go your way.

Speaker 4 (32:45):
You just can't. So I and like, maybe it's the.

Speaker 5 (32:49):
Surroundings, I think, and that's like something totally out of
my control, so I don't know how to help him there.

Speaker 6 (32:55):
Yeah, that's tough, and I can totally see that as
like a former athlete in the pressure, but also as
a coach. It's like I think sometimes you know, parents
they want their kid to be the best, and so
you don't even realize what's coming out of your mouth
at the time and how that can affect another kid
who's just trying to be better at things. So I
think that's always a good reminder that it's youth sports totally.

Speaker 4 (33:15):
Oh my gosh. I took a picture at the baseball field.

Speaker 5 (33:18):
Just the other day and I have to post it
because it was like, it's such a good reminder for
everyone attending any youth sports game. If you have like
a dog in a fight or a kid in the
game or whatever it says, it says reminders from your child.

Speaker 4 (33:34):
I'm a kid, it's just a game.

Speaker 5 (33:36):
My coaches a volunteer, the officials are humans. No college
scholarships will be handed out today dedicated to their youth.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
Oh yeah, for another thing, like if he followed in
his dad's footsteps and just golf, then you don't have
to deal with.

Speaker 5 (33:54):
Well, he totally could, but he also gets very emotional
in golf.

Speaker 1 (34:05):
You know, that's really good.

Speaker 4 (34:06):
So he gets so frustrated.

Speaker 5 (34:10):
And it's so funny because like Scott's like Buddy, Golf's
the hardest game in sports, Like it really is. It's
so difficult. Even the pros have really bad days. And
like Easton loves Scotti Scheffler, who doesn't, And he's like
Scotty has bad days.

Speaker 4 (34:24):
Scotty has bad tournaments.

Speaker 5 (34:25):
And he's a professional that's been doing this his whole life.
So you know, one day, you know, if anyone has
has been there with their child and they know the
way around this or the right way to go about this,
lemon now. But until then, I just like he's trying
all the things. He loves baseball right now. Like I
asked him, what sport right now is he enjoying the most.
And he plays golf with his dad, and he plays football,

(34:46):
and he plays baseball, and he's like, it's baseball. We
had practice last night. Practice was over and the kids
kept playing.

Speaker 4 (34:51):
They keep it up so competitive.

Speaker 14 (34:59):
Hi, So I wanted to comment on Easton and being emotional.
I have three kids, all of.

Speaker 15 (35:07):
Them play multiple sports, and I want to say that
I don't necessarily think that it's what sport he plays,
but the fact that he's a gemini. I have a
seven year old who is a gemini, and she's very.

Speaker 14 (35:23):
Emotional when it comes to not getting her way, and
that's kind of in all things in.

Speaker 15 (35:29):
Life, not just sports. But it's very hard to explain
to her, like you can't always have it your way.
You're not going to win everything, and you kind of
just have to like be happy for others when they win,
even if you lose. So I want to say, there
may not be anything you can.

Speaker 10 (35:45):
Do about it.

Speaker 5 (35:46):
No, Actually, you know what, I've thought that a couple
of times, because.

Speaker 4 (35:50):
I always describe Easton as like if you get.

Speaker 5 (35:53):
Him and he's in a great mood, he's like everyone
loves him, but he's like the Hulk when he's angry.

Speaker 4 (35:58):
You don't want to see him when he's angry.

Speaker 15 (36:00):
Oh yeah, No, I totally agree. My daughter is like
the life of the party, like always like center of attention,
but it's like a flip of a switch and all
of a sudden, she's like the biggest grumps in the
world don't mess with her, and there's nothing you can
do to change it. It's like you have to let
her go through her emotions to get back to her
happy self.

Speaker 4 (36:21):
Yeah, I'm sure maybe that's it.

Speaker 5 (36:23):
And you know, it's funny because, like because I've become
like friends with the other parents and stuff like that.
We had two games Friday night and afterwards it was
like dinner time, and so naturally me and the other
moms we kind of just like planned a dinner.

Speaker 4 (36:36):
We're like, hey, let's all go together.

Speaker 3 (36:41):
Memories.

Speaker 5 (36:44):
I like remember being on sports teams with my parents
not going to the dinners, and I was like, go
to dinner. So now I'm planning the dinners and we're
like we get we get to the restaurant, there's this
huge table, there's four couples, all of our kids, and
everyone's having that Like I'm having a great time, starting
to chat. Ten minutes into it, like I look over
at Scott and he like had the most miserable look
on his face, like what's going on?

Speaker 4 (37:06):
And He's like, this is just too much. This is
too much.

Speaker 5 (37:09):
There's too many people, it's too loud, it's like chaos, right,
now and he does not like he wants to go
home and be alone.

Speaker 4 (37:18):
I'm just laughing.

Speaker 5 (37:19):
I was like, can you ring this guy a couple
of drinks?

Speaker 6 (37:21):
He needs to get into the get into the coaching,
because I feel like his attitude towards that will change.
He'll start to really love the kids, get to know
the parents. I would I challenge him.

Speaker 5 (37:32):
I have asked him to do that, and he's like,
it's a one absolutely.

Speaker 1 (37:38):
Change.

Speaker 4 (37:39):
But I will say.

Speaker 5 (37:40):
He did have a couple of drinks and then all
of a sudden he was chatty Cathy.

Speaker 4 (37:45):
Yeah, there we go.

Speaker 2 (37:48):
We got Kesha tickets in less than two hours. First,
now get this, We're gonna chat with Paulina. Now, apparently
she's having an issue with the X. Things could get spicy.
She's gonna need our help. In your help, So when
you hear her tell her story, call and give her advice.
Eight seven seven nine three seven one four seven. She'll
explain right after Bruno.

Speaker 6 (38:06):
Mars, easy come, easy going, No.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
No, John Jay and rich our phone numbers eight seven
seven nine three seven one four seven. So I want
you to call in because I think Paulina needs advice.

Speaker 1 (38:21):
Good morning, Paulina, Hi, Hey, guys, what's up.

Speaker 3 (38:25):
How can we help you? You're live on the air.
Good morning.

Speaker 7 (38:28):
Hi.

Speaker 12 (38:29):
Yeah, I need some advice because I feel like I'm
stuck in an awkward situation. I'm getting married in July
and I just found out that my ex boyfriend is
also getting married on the exact same day. And the
problem is is we were together for years and we

(38:49):
still share a lot of the same friends. I don't
want to put people in an uncomfortable position by like
having to choose which wedding to go to. So I
reached out to him and asked if he'd be willing
to move his wedding dates. He said no, because they've
already put down deposits and like locked everything in. And

(39:12):
I get that, but I picked my date first, So
I feel like he's kind of causing the conflict by
keeping the same date. Am I wrong? Am I wrong
for asking him to change it? Is he being selfish?

Speaker 7 (39:27):
Like?

Speaker 12 (39:28):
What do I do?

Speaker 4 (39:31):
I think this is.

Speaker 5 (39:31):
A tough one because I kind of feel like he
can know whatever the wedding date he wants, and it's like,
it's the the position is just going to be put
on your friends. They're just going to have to decide
which one to go to, and then it might turn
out to be a really great thing because then you
learn who your real friends are out of the whole thing,
you know, ex friendly.

Speaker 12 (39:54):
No, not really like we're not like it's not like
we've don't speak or anything. Like me reaching out to
him wasn't you know, crazy conversation.

Speaker 2 (40:06):
I mean to say, I picked up my date first. Yeah,
I'd be like, I was, okay, So what good for you?

Speaker 1 (40:12):
I think my response would be like, if it's a
concern for you, then you should move your wedding date.
I'm not concerned. We're not changing ours. We put money down.
That's probably what I would say if you called me.
And so it's the same thing, And he'd be totally
right because you're not dating each other, you're kind of
done with each other.

Speaker 12 (40:30):
Yeah, no, you're you're right. It's definitely like it's hard
to hear, it's like harsh to hear, But I think
I think you're right, Like I I shouldn't have asked
him to change that. We are our own separate humans,
and you know, I just feel bad for my friends, you.

Speaker 4 (40:48):
Know, totally, it's a weird position.

Speaker 2 (40:50):
Eight seven seven nine three seven one O four seven.
What advice to have Orpauline? We got Amy online.

Speaker 3 (40:56):
Amy. Good morning, you're on the air.

Speaker 10 (40:58):
Good morning, How are you good?

Speaker 3 (41:00):
Your thoughts?

Speaker 10 (41:02):
Okay, well, all right, Paulina, girl, I gets where you're
coming from. But look, you're asking your ex to move
his entire wedding for you. I mean, come on, girl,
that's wild. I mean, I hate to break it to you,
but your wedding is not the main events of this year. Okay, yeah,
I mean, look, you have your you said, you said

(41:22):
your fiance he put his deposits down. I mean, you
know his life never longer revolves around you. I mean,
I know that hurts, but girl, you gotta you gotta
wake up and smell the roses. Okay, And look, your
friends are going to figure it out, and you'll find
out who your true friends are. Some might go to
your weddings, some might go to his, and then you know,

(41:43):
you'll kind of have your answer.

Speaker 1 (41:44):
Okay, some marketing thing you need to pitch, something that
you have fun at the reception, Like I don't know
what they're doing, but we have a massed potato buffet
bar entertainment.

Speaker 4 (41:57):
So I mean, if you want to go to that wedding.
All you're gonna do is se people get me.

Speaker 10 (42:00):
That's fine.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
Free puppies. Ours would free puppies shoud come to her wedding.

Speaker 10 (42:05):
Yeah, but yeah, don't stress. Don't stress over your ex's wedding.
That's wild.

Speaker 4 (42:09):
Get it.

Speaker 10 (42:10):
Get an open bar, they'll go to yours. You're giving
like main character syndrome and like grow up a little bit,
let it go, enjoy your day, breathe, touch grass and
this is.

Speaker 12 (42:20):
What it is.

Speaker 3 (42:21):
All right? Thank you, Amy? You pick up John? Yeah, hey, John.

Speaker 12 (42:29):
Can't.

Speaker 16 (42:29):
Well, I'm gonna go along the lines of her exercise
just because even though she picked a date first, he's
a man, not saying that he would not go through
or anything like that, but I would just say, like
who knows if what what year, if it would actually
go through with the wedding or anything like that. But
her exercide, they're not to get anymore. And he put

(42:50):
Donnie deposit first, so they're going through with it. So
I think that she should just move the date.

Speaker 1 (42:55):
You know what he's thinking too, He's thinking, no way
am I going to my fiance and saying my ex
called having that conversation.

Speaker 16 (43:06):
Yeah, No, that's that's that's just staking fire on his end.

Speaker 3 (43:09):
Yeah, thanks John, that appreciate thanks for listening back. Go ahead.

Speaker 2 (43:16):
Eight seven seven nine three seven one oh four seven.
I think also, if you're the one that has the
problem with the date, then you change the date.

Speaker 5 (43:25):
Yeah, I mean, I don't think it's I don't think
you're paul you're wrong for asking.

Speaker 4 (43:28):
It's like it never hurts to ask, Like who knows.

Speaker 5 (43:30):
Maybe he's like, oh man, we were actually thinking about
changing the date, and then you would have had like
it'd be great, but also at the same time, it
may have been a little unrealistic asking.

Speaker 2 (43:38):
Good stuff, Pauline. I thanks for calling in. I hope
we helped dad with good luck with the wedding.

Speaker 12 (43:42):
Yes you did, Thank you.

Speaker 3 (43:44):
That's a great day.

Speaker 2 (43:46):
Uh So, the n c A A March Madness Men's
Basketball National Championship is tonight. But this weekend, believe it
or not, I watched a lot of basketball because my wife,
quite frankly, I was trying to catch up on all
my shows, but she had Best Ball on and we
were watching the Houston Duke game and they were like

(44:08):
thirty seconds left and Houston was down by seven, and
they came back and they won amazing, right, I mean
it was nuts. You know, I'm new to the sports world,
and uh, it was pretty amazing comeback. So I thought
we'd just throw this out there. Eight seven, seven, nine
three seven, one oh four seven. Does anybody have an

(44:28):
amazing comeback story or an incredible glow up story?

Speaker 1 (44:32):
It doesn't have any sports right, No.

Speaker 3 (44:33):
No, no.

Speaker 2 (44:34):
Something on your d Maybe you failed at something over
and over and over again and then you finally made it.
You finally did it. You know, like, what is your
glow up? What's your comeback story? You know who in
your life had the most epic glow up or comeback?
High school zero to reunion hero, let's hear it. Eight
seven seven, nine three seven one oh four seven. In fact,

(44:54):
somebody even texted already that Peyton is having a hell
of a glow up.

Speaker 3 (45:00):
How does that make you feel? Patent?

Speaker 6 (45:01):
It makes me feel good, It makes me, it makes
it feel worth it. You know, the rebrand effort is
paying off definitely, and I feel a lot more confident too,
So that's important.

Speaker 3 (45:09):
All right.

Speaker 2 (45:09):
So eight seven seven ninety three seven one four seven.
Let's just hear what's your unreal comeback, Hi, Helen. Hi,
what's your story?

Speaker 9 (45:20):
So I am back in twenty eleven.

Speaker 7 (45:25):
I had.

Speaker 9 (45:27):
Lost everything. I lost my house, I lost my.

Speaker 7 (45:30):
Savings, I was pretty much done with life in general.

Speaker 9 (45:34):
I had been left with a two day.

Speaker 7 (45:36):
Old baby, and as an entrepreneur, it was really hard
to kind of get back on my feet. So I
started looking and trying to connect the dots and figure
out where did I go.

Speaker 9 (45:46):
Wrong and not see certain signs.

Speaker 7 (45:48):
And I realized that a chaotic brain actually impacts a
lot of our decisions that we think we see clearly
what we don't.

Speaker 9 (45:56):
So I started building a.

Speaker 7 (45:57):
Program, and it took me fourteen years to be able
to put the program together and get it scientifically validated,
get it published in educational science journals, and today in
twenty twenty five, it is the first ever AI digital
program that gives you your twin version of yourself called

(46:19):
twin bought, that allows you to be able to get
the best version of yourself that's emotionally regulated to calm
you down and help you focus to reduce making any
bad decisions.

Speaker 1 (46:31):
Whoaowo, small dang, you went all the way in.

Speaker 4 (46:35):
You're calming yourself down?

Speaker 7 (46:38):
Yes, you are your own neural network is calming yourself down.
I went back to school, I study neuroscience and tried
to put the.

Speaker 13 (46:45):
Pieces together because my life I was abused for twenty
years and didn't realize that I was walking through mud
when I was actually thinking that I was seeing so clearly.
So anybody out there he thinks that you can't, you can.
It's a fourteen years blood, sweat and tears. And as
a next Montrealer who's living in Phoenix today, I have

(47:06):
to say that the fact that it's in Phoenix and
it happened is like the Phoenix Rising is so symbolical.

Speaker 2 (47:12):
That's what I'm talking about. Hey, So when you when
you is it is it your own voice or is
it text? Like you download the app and then you
text yourself, I'm having a problem in you yourself gives
yourself advice.

Speaker 7 (47:24):
Exactly. So we have you basically go through this whole
profiling process of answering all the questions. The AI puts
together the assessment. It tags all the different points of
where you've been able to find courage and coping and
made the best decisions.

Speaker 9 (47:39):
And then you're like, you know how.

Speaker 7 (47:40):
Chat GPT kind of like you can talk to chat GPT,
but it really sucks because it forgets all the time.
This one remembers because it's you. So it's you talking
to you.

Speaker 9 (47:51):
And it's calming you down.

Speaker 7 (47:52):
While you're going through, like, don't send that text message,
don't send that email?

Speaker 1 (47:57):
What the heck?

Speaker 9 (47:57):
You know?

Speaker 7 (47:58):
Be careful.

Speaker 3 (47:58):
What's it called again?

Speaker 7 (48:01):
It's called twin.

Speaker 1 (48:02):
But and you can download it now.

Speaker 7 (48:07):
We're just where we've we're at the end stages right
now because we had to train the AI to make
sure that it was tapping into all the theoretical codes
that we had done in the research, and we just
finished our US research in Long Island University in Brooklyn.

Speaker 3 (48:23):
How many people are involved in this thing? How many
people have involved in.

Speaker 9 (48:28):
I'm the one that built it, and I have a
team of.

Speaker 3 (48:33):
You were your AI? You're you have a team of what?

Speaker 9 (48:36):
Yeah, I have a team of twelve.

Speaker 2 (48:39):
Wow, that's pretty kind of like I feel like I
wouldn't want to I don't know if I want to
hear from myself.

Speaker 3 (48:43):
Don't tell me to calm down?

Speaker 1 (48:44):
Yeah, you're your your AI would be a procrastinator and
be like I'll get back to watching these shows.

Speaker 5 (48:50):
If you watch there's an episode in the second season
where one of the main characters argues with himself, that's.

Speaker 2 (48:56):
Really cool and what happens. Yeah, you have to be
like my twin Bob would be like, why don't you
go watch TV.

Speaker 1 (49:04):
Look at yourself a little snack.

Speaker 3 (49:09):
Helen.

Speaker 2 (49:09):
Congratulations, that's very very cool, April. You have some sort
of comeback or glow up.

Speaker 17 (49:16):
Yes, I do. My son has always performed very well
at school and won all type of awards, and we
transferred to a new school that's a little more advanced.
He's can by the way, and he was struggling and
like really dumb himself because he wasn't performing so well.
And I am so proud of my baby because he's

(49:38):
back on hon Roe and doing amazing now at his
new school, acing all of his tests to the point
where his teacher doesn't give him certain tests because he
performed so well on the practice test. So I just
wanted to stout my Jason out. We lived this warning

(49:58):
and this.

Speaker 10 (49:59):
Morning here it's like mom trying to call in again.

Speaker 6 (50:05):
That's all such a proud moment.

Speaker 3 (50:07):
That's so cool.

Speaker 2 (50:10):
The text about Peyton's globe it says it's I just
found that it's a six o twomber.

Speaker 3 (50:14):
Peyton is definitely going through a glow up. Her eyebrows
are gorgeous and her makeup and lashes are on point.
I'd kill for those eyebrows.

Speaker 6 (50:20):
That is so sweet because I literally used to get
bullied for my eyebrows growing up because I have a unibrow.
My mom was the one that was waxing my unibrow
like seven seven. Yeah, she was like, that's not gonna happen.
Those girls said one thing to you once, never again.
Let me get that for you, girl.

Speaker 3 (50:36):
Here's a text about Kyle's situation with Easton.

Speaker 13 (50:39):
Its hiss.

Speaker 2 (50:40):
Crying in youth sports shows the kid cares and is competitive.

Speaker 3 (50:43):
Foster that don't snuff that emotion out.

Speaker 2 (50:46):
Also, if you think baseball parents are calm, you haven't
experienced club yet.

Speaker 3 (50:50):
Everyone's going pro.

Speaker 5 (50:53):
Yeah, we aren't at that level yet, so it just
seems more like everyone's.

Speaker 4 (50:58):
Just like, yeah, what's up. Yeah, so yeah, you're right, But.

Speaker 5 (51:02):
It's almost like almost every youth sport. I mean, Addie
did competitive dance for a couple of years and it
was like she was six, and the parents at that
point were like every I don't know, what the parents
were expecting, Like they're going to be, you know, Tate
mccree's backup dancer or what was the end game there?
But like, yeah, some parents get pretty extreme with like
the outside training and the extra curriculum and.

Speaker 1 (51:22):
The gymnastic parents. They're a whole new breed too.

Speaker 5 (51:25):
You know, every sport I think you're going to get like,
you know, the parents really want to find you know,
because parents see talent in their kids and they want
to foster it.

Speaker 4 (51:32):
And I get it. But also it's like some sports
are so so so crazy competitive.

Speaker 2 (51:36):
All three of my boys played sports, right, And I
remember when they were playing baseball, one or two kids.
I was like, those kids are playing in college, right,
they gotta be. And now I was just at a prom.
Dutch had prom and there was a party which I'll
get into at some point too. There's a party and
I saw some of the parents that I hadn't seen
because they have younger siblings now and they were going

(51:58):
to prom. I was like, hey, how so let's oh yeah,
he's where's he going to school? Where's he playing? Oh
he's not playing? Like what like I thought the.

Speaker 1 (52:05):
Kid was, Oh yeah.

Speaker 6 (52:06):
But it's like when you get stuff like that, and
it's like so much talent, the pressure on you to
be able to perform, eventually you burn out of your soul.

Speaker 2 (52:12):
What I'm saying is when you think you have this,
that's how those parents are that when you see that.

Speaker 3 (52:17):
And but me, just as a dad, I was sitting
watching this one kid.

Speaker 2 (52:20):
I thought for sure this kid was going to be
a baseball superstar. And he's not. He's not playing sports
at all. And that happens a lot too. As you
get to the next level, weeds him out, The next
level heads him out, weeds him out, and then the
people that are just really really passionate go and play.
I think they say less than three percent of high
school athletes playing in college.

Speaker 3 (52:38):
That's pretty crazy. Charles, good morning. You got to grow up.

Speaker 18 (52:43):
I do have a glow up. It's about myself, Okay,
more and more of a comeback, I guess works than
a glow up.

Speaker 19 (52:49):
We really want to look at it.

Speaker 18 (52:50):
So I'm your typical stittic. I tell people by thirteen,
I was smoking. By fourteen, I was drinking by eighteen,
I was I did the cocaine, A high school dropout,
and it could be stop trafficking cocaine, and my mid
twenty did a short stint of homelessness, got a dui
and kind of just written myself off. But by my
mid thirty doubles like I got to change some things

(53:10):
happening for me. Hey, the way I looked all that
good stuff, So I thought I was going to get sober,
So I picked the date one night I got blacked
out drunk to my wife when they were thinking of
alcohol again. And I've been five probably five years sober
in July, and alcohol the drugs has been been years now.
And we've recently just relaunched our apparel brand which is
based off of that story about overcoming obstacles and just

(53:33):
turning your life around. What it's called IAC lifestyle, So
it stands for intelligence and confidence and it's a lifestyle
with the Y so ly B T S T Y
I R.

Speaker 3 (53:45):
That's huge. Congratulations, Charles, thanks for sharing that with us.
Way to go. I appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (53:49):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (53:50):
Guys.

Speaker 2 (53:50):
See, there's like human versions of what happened if you
want to over talk about. Because the March badness Houston
came back from like seven behind.

Speaker 3 (53:59):
It's thirty seconds was so nuts. Here's a piece of.

Speaker 2 (54:02):
What's her toad national prominence for the Gators.

Speaker 3 (54:07):
Florida, we'll play for the nextional title and what Todd
Golden and the Caters.

Speaker 2 (54:13):
Todd Golden, he's the guy from Stunny Slop freaking amazing.

Speaker 3 (54:16):
We've been looking for Now he's a championship. The dream,
It's alive for the Houston Cougars.

Speaker 2 (54:29):
A furious comeback Todd not golf too at advance to the.

Speaker 3 (54:35):
National championship, A serious comeback see and that. So we
wanted to hear from you about.

Speaker 2 (54:39):
Your comeback, John Jay Rich if you listen to our
afterwards podcast, I think it's about a week ago. We
were we had the producer of another morning show in
the studio, Lydia. She's a producer of Mojo and Detroit.
You know where friends would go way back and they
don't play any music. And I was just right now,
I was, we're playing for the carpenter. I had to
piece so bad, and we've been, you know, running one

(55:01):
hundred miles an hour this morning, and.

Speaker 3 (55:02):
I don't know how do you do it? Because I
got a pee. I don't know I got I can't
this to Brint of Carbon. The song's two minutes long.
I it's not enough time to go down the hall pee.

Speaker 2 (55:09):
We need to get a yurinol in here now, my God,
extra Augustus Julius.

Speaker 3 (55:15):
Is that your name Augustus Julius? Did I say it right? Yeah?

Speaker 8 (55:17):
That's my first name.

Speaker 3 (55:18):
I go by aj Okay, so you have a glow up.

Speaker 8 (55:22):
Yeah. So my story started over when I was seventeen. Unfortunately,
I was in the bed of a truck with a
drunk driver coming back from Bartlet Lake and he flipped
it going one hundred miles an hour and I survived. Luckily,
I lost my memory and I broke my fellow phone
in half, so I couldn't walk for a couple of months.
And I say a couple of months because I told

(55:43):
the doctors, you're not gonna tell me I'm not gonna
walk again. So I'm gonna go visit my dad in Christmas,
and I'm gonna be walking when I get there. Long story.
Shortly after that, I became homeless, so I getdicted to
the you know prescribed doctors you know here that's gonna
fix you. Then I ended up going to prison for
four and a half years because police and Phoenix takes

(56:04):
me in the faith said I was resisting a risk,
and then I got out into the pandemic and I
was just like, all right, I got to change something,
like I got to do something with myself. And I
ended up working for a couple of different sales places,
became really really good at sales, and then wrote a
sales training book, and I decided to myself, you know what,
I think I'm going to make a business. So I

(56:25):
went out there and I made my business, which is
Performance improvement Platform LLG Local to Phoenix, and currently I'm
a new published author. I just published my sixth books
this morning, and I just I'm trying to do everything
I can to get myself back on track.

Speaker 3 (56:41):
So that's amazing.

Speaker 1 (56:42):
It really is.

Speaker 3 (56:43):
Where can we get your books?

Speaker 8 (56:45):
Amazon dot com. The first one that I wrote is
called The Breakdown What You'll need to become a top Producer.
It's just kind of like my how I made a
quarter of a million dollars for a company in eighteen months,
from not knowing how to talk to somebody to reading
every single book you can think up on sales.

Speaker 1 (57:01):
I know your memory, did your memory ever come back?

Speaker 3 (57:03):
Or no?

Speaker 8 (57:05):
Sort of I have to ask questions the people that
knew me before my accident, because a lot of it
it's like, oh, yeah, this is what happened to you,
And I'm like, okay, vivid imagination. I can see that
in my head. But do I really have a memory
or am I just imagining what they're telling me? So
that's kind of where I'm right now. But it's come back, sort.

Speaker 1 (57:24):
Of a huge comeback.

Speaker 3 (57:26):
All right, So your books are on Amazon? How do
they find them? Like, how do you? Is it Augustus
Julius search that? Yeah, you can.

Speaker 8 (57:32):
Search Augustus Julius Rasmussen. I got, Like I said, my
first book is the sales book. I've made a kid's
book called Lily and Urges, which is basically like an alternate,
like multiverse version of myself having a daughter and what
her adventure was and her best friend, which is a
superhero hamster from Phuto. Then there's the Ones, which is

(57:56):
like me because I got type one diabetes now after
coming out of which is a weird phenomenon. And there's
uh managing these darn blood sugars book one and two,
trying to help other type one diabetics kind of understand
what they are probably not knowing about diabetes. Then I
have another book called Vix, which is about a little fox,

(58:17):
and then this last one is called Abundance Mindset.

Speaker 2 (58:20):
All right, those are serious glow ups. So search Augustus
Julius and go buy his books.

Speaker 3 (58:25):
That's a massive glow up. I want to get some
entertainment news. I got.

Speaker 2 (58:28):
There's some stuff on Diddy, Maria, Carrie Russell, Brandjack Black.
When you get the entertainment news coming up next with
John Ja and Richard, John Ja, rich I saw this
headline over the weekend, but I didn't click and getting
details about Terrence Howard.

Speaker 5 (58:47):
Yeah, so you know Diddy's criminal trial. It starts May fifth.
Cassie's going to be there, she's testifying. It's like, I
think it's going to be televised, So think Johnny Depp trial,
because like that's going to be the fascination with this one,
probably times ten.

Speaker 6 (59:00):
I was gonna say, I think even bigger.

Speaker 5 (59:02):
Yeah, and more celebrities have started to come forward and
talk about their experiences with Diddy and Terrence.

Speaker 4 (59:06):
Howard says he had.

Speaker 5 (59:08):
A really weird experience with Diddy, and he just explained
like at first he didn't really understand and then his
assistant kind of helped him out.

Speaker 19 (59:17):
Puffy invited me, wanted me to be his acting coach
for a while. Go there, and he's sitting around just
looking I'm like, okay, what's the material you want to
work on?

Speaker 3 (59:25):
He's just looking at me.

Speaker 19 (59:26):
Then next thing, you know, I want to hear your music,
so I'll come over there and play the music, and
you're sitting there just looking at me, like waiting.

Speaker 3 (59:32):
Okay.

Speaker 19 (59:32):
So then my assistant was like, you know, he wants
to hang out with you next week, and I was like,
for what He's like, I think he's trying to That's
what my assistant said, and I was like, oh okay,
now I get it. So now no more communication.

Speaker 4 (59:44):
Just cut it off.

Speaker 5 (59:44):
Didn't want the weirdness anymore, didn't want to have anything
to do with it. And in the interview, Terrence Howard
actually went on and on about how anyone who went
to one of Ditty's freakoff parties lost their man card,
they lost their morality, they lost everything they probably ever
stood for.

Speaker 3 (59:57):
Because they participated in everything. So if you went to
the park, he.

Speaker 4 (01:00:00):
Participated, That's what he was saying.

Speaker 3 (01:00:03):
I keep seeing these things like Jessin Bieber and I
thought he's okay. That's he's not okay.

Speaker 4 (01:00:07):
I know, I know.

Speaker 5 (01:00:08):
I keep seeing the same things too, and there's a
The latest is basically that somebody, an insider apparently from
like Hailey Bieber's church, says Haley has.

Speaker 4 (01:00:18):
Just kind of like given it to God.

Speaker 5 (01:00:21):
She's asking everyone around to just pray for Justin because
he's so manic. He's not eating, he's not sleeping, which
doesn't happen with a newborn baby as it is, but
also everything the demons that he's dealing with in his brain,
and supposedly Haley has just asked everyone in their circle
to pray for him because at this point, only God
can save him.

Speaker 6 (01:00:41):
That's my heart's breaking for jes to be like, I
am such a believer through and through, I saw something.
So you know how. Selena gomaz and Benny Blanco just
dropped their album together, I guess. In one of the songs,
Felena Gomez has says like if I would have picked
up one time, or if I would have picked up
that one phone call, this wouldn't be happening. And apparently,
allegedly Justin Bieber called Slena Gomez like twenty times on

(01:01:03):
his wedding day to Haley Biaber And so everyone's saying
that he's actually spiraling because Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez.

Speaker 3 (01:01:11):
A the post he made from the Lord of the Rings.

Speaker 6 (01:01:14):
No d M if you want to make music.

Speaker 2 (01:01:17):
Was a golem with the ring that yeah, sure, yeah
he said something He's he made a I went a paraphrase,
but he posted that picture of the person holding the
ring the ugly monster and said something, I guess everyone's
getting engaged.

Speaker 4 (01:01:28):
Oh my god, really actually him?

Speaker 3 (01:01:30):
Yeah, they say that it was a dig at Benny Block.

Speaker 12 (01:01:34):
To be friends literally the balls, Like people are gonna
put two and two together.

Speaker 1 (01:01:39):
With that one.

Speaker 4 (01:01:40):
Well, of course they are.

Speaker 5 (01:01:41):
Yeah, So okay, so he's got the Diddy stuff, He's
got his ex like living her best life and like
on top of the world, and a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:01:49):
That Diddy stuff might be really at the surface right there.

Speaker 6 (01:01:54):
But yeah, and then you have this seven part series
on his wife might be stalking him, like he's going
through it.

Speaker 3 (01:02:00):
So anybody see minecraft, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:02:02):
The see it.

Speaker 6 (01:02:04):
I saw how I saw how crazy it was though.

Speaker 5 (01:02:06):
It was like a fifty seven million dollars in the
box crazy forgot that it was coming out.

Speaker 2 (01:02:11):
I have three boys, Jake who's twenty two, Campoo's twenty one,
and Dutch who's eighteen.

Speaker 3 (01:02:16):
All three of them saw it. All three of them
loved it.

Speaker 6 (01:02:18):
I heard it was fantastic.

Speaker 3 (01:02:19):
They said it was absolutely fantastic. It's on track to
be the biggest game show or video game movie ever made.

Speaker 4 (01:02:25):
Did you super Mario Bros?

Speaker 3 (01:02:26):
Bigger than Super Mario?

Speaker 6 (01:02:27):
Did you guys see all the kids getting arrested though,
because I guess there's this one scene in the Minecraft
movie where there's like some big battle or boxing ring
and all of these kids are going to see it,
are throwing all their stuff everywhere, and movie theaters are
arresting the kids after.

Speaker 2 (01:02:43):
There's an after credits scene like Avengers movies that Oh
my god. Everybody went on and I'm like, I said,
my kids, just tell me after Cris scene. I don't
want and they told me.

Speaker 4 (01:02:50):
I was like, oh, yeah, I want to go see
im to take my kids.

Speaker 3 (01:02:53):
Do your kids play Minecraft?

Speaker 7 (01:02:54):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:02:54):
Oh they do the Total Minecraft.

Speaker 2 (01:02:57):
So one of my boys went with a bunch of friends.
Some of the friends don't play Minecraft. They didn't get it.
If you're a minecrafter, you are all over this movie.

Speaker 4 (01:03:05):
Okay, so I won't get it, but my kids will.

Speaker 2 (01:03:07):
But watching them to Joy and they said Jack Black,
they said freaking Jason Momoa is just absolutely fantastic.

Speaker 3 (01:03:11):
And the McDonald's got the Happy.

Speaker 2 (01:03:13):
Meals Yeah, Mud twenty two, twenty one, and eighteen and
they all got the Happy.

Speaker 5 (01:03:18):
It's plain because I randomly was over at Ohn Jay's
house yesterday. We went to this like this a Team
Taylor walk and I had to park at his house
because it's close to where the walk is and I
walk in, I'm like, that's like the hugest happy Meal
box ever.

Speaker 4 (01:03:31):
He's like the minecraft one.

Speaker 1 (01:03:33):
My boy Christopher saw twice this weekend. That's how much
he loved it. So it's gonna be huge. I mean
it is huge.

Speaker 3 (01:03:40):
Well, you're going through your instad make sure're wearing your feet.
Find out what's up at John Jay and Ridge.

Speaker 2 (01:03:45):
I was sharing how I discovered Texas Roadhouse. Noah texted
me all caps please, you have to try Texas Roadhouse.
Italian dressing on a salad. It's divine.

Speaker 3 (01:03:59):
I'm not kidding. And it's safe enough for my dad
to find healthy options.

Speaker 2 (01:04:02):
He gets to the kebab with Mitant Mediterranean rice, very
nice one. Last night's season finale, well, it's a theme
for the White Lotus. I was playing an thing because
we're gonna get into TV. So, uh, White Lotuses finale

(01:04:25):
ended last night. And I've been anti White Lotus since
season one because they described White Lotus as a comedy
and I thought season was terrible.

Speaker 3 (01:04:32):
I watched a part of season two.

Speaker 2 (01:04:33):
I've watched all of season three, all of it and
the season I was last night and Grant, who I
kind of respect a little bit in the TV world,
little because, you know, because Grant's kind of artistic and
kind of smart, right, and he loved it, and I
was like, I had this problem.

Speaker 3 (01:04:47):
This problem goes yeah, I know. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:04:49):
So I mean there were there were some glaring issues
as a you problems. I think I think they landed it.
I would say arguably, like if you waited for something
cool and something you expected to happen, you didn't get
what you expected.

Speaker 2 (01:05:03):
I could tell you this, the actors on that show
should all win awards.

Speaker 3 (01:05:07):
They're phenomenal. They're just phenomenal.

Speaker 1 (01:05:09):
If there's something about that show, not only halfway through,
I didn't realize it was that long last night and
a half. I ended up kind of falling asleep about
halfway through. But it's so captivating to watch. And I
can't explain why because it doesn't seem like a lot happens,
but then when you watch the recap for the next episode,
a lot happened.

Speaker 3 (01:05:27):
I still don't like the show.

Speaker 1 (01:05:29):
I didn't realize it was an hour and a half
and just felt like the time was moving very slow.

Speaker 2 (01:05:34):
There's a lot lots of montages. It's lots of establishing
scenes for the it was. They've they've put a lot
of fluff in.

Speaker 1 (01:05:41):
It, Showy in the Jungle.

Speaker 3 (01:05:43):
Yeah, and none of you guys watched it. Complaint you
guys watch it? Yeah, I wouldn't. Now let me tell
about the other show I saw. It's on.

Speaker 2 (01:05:48):
It's number one on Prime because Jack Reacher was number
one for a while.

Speaker 3 (01:05:51):
This is new.

Speaker 2 (01:05:52):
It's called I think it's called The Bondsman. Have you
guys seen this yet? Yeah, I just saw the preview.
It's Kevin Bacon and he's a bail bondsman and the
first scene he's going to bust into to arrest somebody
and instead he gets shot in the back and they
cut his throat and he dies. They I mean, it
is violent, and I'm like, just Kevin Bacon, like he's

(01:06:13):
the star. He died in the first five minutes. And
then they take his body and put it in a drywall. Right,
he wakes up. He's alive. His throat is caught and
he's got a hole in it, and he's like what
the hell.

Speaker 3 (01:06:25):
He doesn't know what happened to him.

Speaker 2 (01:06:27):
And as things go on, you find out that the
devil has made him alive and now he works for
the Devil and he's a bondsman and he's chasing down
demons that have escaped the Devil and he is blowing
people away and chopping people up. It is so violent.

Speaker 1 (01:06:46):
That's cool.

Speaker 3 (01:06:47):
Is crazy, man. And they get to the like the
priests that are demons, and it's like violent. It's Blumhouse,
you know, the Blumhouse people. It is violent. Violent. The
TV series I'm One on Netflix. All right, Kyle, did
you watch Gone Girl?

Speaker 1 (01:07:03):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:07:03):
Yeah, Gone Girls, the documentary on the Long Island murders,
and it, I mean, it was really fascinating and so
sad and the fact that like there was this woman
who went missing, her named Shannon Gilbert, and her mom
just was relentless with the media because the cops weren't
paying attention to her her case because she was like
a you know, like a sex worker, and so this
they're searching for her. They find four bodies, and then

(01:07:25):
they find another four bodies, and then they find more
bodies and come to find out it all leads to
a serial killer. But the end, like they still haven't
ruled Shannon Gilbert's murder a homicide, which is wild to me.

Speaker 2 (01:07:37):
Yeah, like all the evidence or just all these people
are dead. Just body just happen to be dead.

Speaker 5 (01:07:42):
The body just happened to be exactly where all the
other bodies were, Like, and.

Speaker 4 (01:07:45):
We're exactly that night.

Speaker 3 (01:07:48):
What about it? Would you find? The guys when they
go through his computer and they find the.

Speaker 4 (01:07:51):
Note, Oh, that was the creepiest thing. He literally had
notes to himself how to make.

Speaker 2 (01:07:54):
Himself up, to make himself yeah so dark, and about
cutting off the tattoos, and he would cut off the
hand body because.

Speaker 4 (01:08:00):
He's like more time to play.

Speaker 6 (01:08:02):
I was like, oh, I thought, what was so fascinating
because I actually went and rewatched the documentary because I
was like, this is insane. But do you guys remember,
like those two guys who had saw him he came
to the house. I thought that was so fascinating because
they were like, we knew that it was this this
ogre looking guy and he ran away. They had his
description down to a tee, but no one believed him.

(01:08:23):
But what I thought was so fascinating is like those
two guys were a little rough around the reges anyways,
and the fact that like you just know that they're
probably just two little giant teddy bears that just want,
you know, justice for their friend. I had thought that
was so fascinating.

Speaker 5 (01:08:36):
I know, And like they had the car, and the
car is how they caught the guy anyway, So if
they just would have looked into.

Speaker 6 (01:08:40):
It, and like the family moving back into the house.

Speaker 3 (01:08:43):
What about the house?

Speaker 5 (01:08:44):
That house house, But the house this serial killer lives in.

Speaker 4 (01:08:47):
He's lived in it since he was a child.

Speaker 5 (01:08:48):
It was the home he was abused in and didn't
change anything about it for years.

Speaker 4 (01:08:52):
It's like dilapidated and he's working as an architect.

Speaker 2 (01:08:56):
So.

Speaker 3 (01:09:00):
Thank you. So what are you watching right now? Else?

Speaker 5 (01:09:04):
I'm in the middle of finishing severance. I know, in
the last episode of the second season, and I feel
like that's the only show that I've ever watched that
like every episode during the season, I'm like, what am
I watching?

Speaker 4 (01:09:14):
Why am I still watching this?

Speaker 5 (01:09:15):
And then the last episode, I'm like, it's so satisfying it.

Speaker 1 (01:09:19):
Yeah, I can't wait for the next season of Severance
to come out. That still is in my head almost
all the time. That in White Lotus I have I'm
so irritated by, like when you.

Speaker 4 (01:09:30):
Were irritated with Lost, like that kind of no.

Speaker 3 (01:09:32):
I think the read I don't know if they still
call it a comedy, but season when they called it
a comedy and it wasn't funny, and I brought that up.
This one is not, by far not a comedy, but
there was like problems in it that I have, And
then I and you can't help but watch it.

Speaker 2 (01:09:45):
Go what if this happened? I mean, you can't. It's
just a little makes you think a little bit.

Speaker 1 (01:09:49):
I heard I said that it's more of a social satire.
It is a comedy. See that Grant would understand them.

Speaker 2 (01:09:55):
The other show that I'm watching and I'm very much
influenced by, is called Dope Thief.

Speaker 3 (01:10:00):
Do I see that yet?

Speaker 1 (01:10:01):
I've seen episode one.

Speaker 2 (01:10:02):
It is fantastic. They've dropped four episodes. That is, it's
action practice like Breaking Bad. In fact, at some point,
if you guys watch season three, I am currently dressed
like the star of episode in season three.

Speaker 3 (01:10:12):
He had this jacket on.

Speaker 2 (01:10:13):
I was like, I have that jacket from the only
thing I don't have right now is a gold necklace
around me, and I'm not I'm not black, but other
than that, I look exactly like the guy. I realized
it this morning, how influenced I am by television in
their fashion, because I was like, oh.

Speaker 3 (01:10:28):
My god, I have that jacket.

Speaker 1 (01:10:30):
You just realized this I put on Jack.

Speaker 2 (01:10:32):
I looked everywhere for the jacket. I go, I'm there,
just like dopele Everyone's gonna go you just like dope
leave today. Nobody said it.

Speaker 5 (01:10:39):
Not when you scoured for Ben Affleck's jacket, the same
pants as Mark.

Speaker 2 (01:10:43):
Wahlberg, Will Smith, I have Mark Wahlberg's hoodie.

Speaker 6 (01:16:27):
I don't know if.

Speaker 2 (01:16:27):
It's hotter than Mercury, which is closest to the closest

Okay, a little space lesson.

Speaker 1 (01:17:04):
I love it, Monique, Yes, all right, you can win

Laura in the new movie Y two K, which is

Rachel is best known for playing what iconic and controversial role?

Speaker 10 (01:17:27):

And Rich Sean Jay Rich.

Speaker 6 (01:18:19):
He called the show at eight seven seven nine seven,
where four seven Hey, Ali.

Speaker 20 (01:18:24):
Hey, I wanted to talk to John Jay about his
Texas roadhouse story speaking So, okay, I was a Roady
Texas roadhouse for two and a half years while I
was in nursing school. So I kind of wanted to
just talk to you about what happened.

Speaker 3 (01:18:41):
Oh okay, tell me that's cool that you guys are
called roadies if you worked out.

Speaker 10 (01:18:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 20 (01:18:45):
So yeah, So every Texas orderhouse and boy it's called
a Roady.

Speaker 12 (01:18:49):
It's great.

Speaker 20 (01:18:49):
I love the company. They're super awesome. Shout out to
the Gilbert location off Power in the two O two.
James is the owner there. He's great. Lindsay's a couple
of his managers are awesome. If you ever want to
go to a good roadhouse, go to that one. They're
always busy. Always get on the waitlist. Every single roadhouse
will be like waitlist of like hour and a half,
two hours. Always get on the waitlist if you want

(01:19:11):
to beat the Also, it's really weird because I've been
to other roadhouses too where they're like, oh, yeah, you
can go pick your steak, this that and the other
thing too. You can do that at every single roadhouse.
Some of them have people who come in and cut
the stakes free, like before shift starts, especially like the
one I worked at because we were such a high
volume roadhouse. But you still can pick your steak. I'm wondering, though,

(01:19:37):
what time you went in. Did you go in like
right when they opened at like three or four, or
did you go in like late at night at like
eight or so, or did you tell them it was
your first time there? Because a lot of times if
you tell them it's your first time there, or you
go in when it's early enough, they will like say, oh, hey,
well you can come over here and you can pick
your own steak, and they will they'll do all of

(01:19:57):
that stuff because you don't necessarily know that that's stuff
that you can do.

Speaker 3 (01:20:01):
I went to the one in Georgia.

Speaker 2 (01:20:04):
It was eight o'clock at night, and I didn't say
it was my first time here, but I think I
looked it like I walked it and like, oh now.
The one I went to the other day was the
one over in Scottsdale by the White Castle, you know
that was I was at that one.

Speaker 3 (01:20:17):
And that's the one where they didn't.

Speaker 2 (01:20:18):
They didn't and and it was I think I went
there for like a late lunch, so they were right there.

Speaker 3 (01:20:25):
It had to be like one or two or something
like that, and I just got right in. I mean
I put my name on the list, but there was
nobody there.

Speaker 20 (01:20:31):
Yeah, and it might have been because too, you were
like from like you probably looked like you weren't from
there and you never been, so maybe they were kind
of like, hmm, I was the only one.

Speaker 3 (01:20:39):
I was the only one in Georgia not in Camo.
I also had sleeves on my shirt.

Speaker 20 (01:20:48):
You probably should have packed appropriately then and took a
pair of like water boots or something or pile so
they know you belonged, so you know. But yeah, so
that's sometimes the thing. But even the servers, like at
the roadhouses, the servers don't necessarily always see you, unless
it's like in the beginning of the shift whenever they're
filling tables because they're helping the girls up front seat
the tables, and so a lot of times, like the

(01:21:10):
servers will ask you to like, hey, there's a stake
counter if you want to go check it out, you know,
that type of thing. But when it's during like call
of high volume. They literally are get you in, get
you sat, get you going, because you're hungry, You've been
waiting so long. Do the heck out of there.

Speaker 3 (01:21:25):
The server was great. Everything was great. The food was amazing,
the bread was amazing, the state was amazing.

Speaker 2 (01:21:28):
The side and then I said, oh, I didn't see
the green beans and those server goes. Let me bring
you out a sample tray of sides. Potatoes were some
of the best mass potatoes I ever had, Like they
were right up to ice the bleako. Next time Thanksgiving
we got to go somewhere with mased potatoes. We come
here and get the mac potatoes.

Speaker 6 (01:21:47):
And now I'm craving so good over the weekend.

Speaker 8 (01:21:51):
The peppercorn sauce at all, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:21:54):
I don't I tried a last.

Speaker 20 (01:21:55):
Stuff to try the peppercorn sauce next time, Sorry Peyton.

Speaker 6 (01:21:59):
Machel, No, no, totally good. I want to try the
peppercorn sauce too. I was just gonna say how I
went to this coffee bar shop area this week in
like central Phoenix, and I got this espresso martini and
the bartender made this like whipped cream, but it literally
tasted like the butter of the for the bread at
Texas Roadout. I literally was it was so gross. It
was like sticking my finger in my martini and I'm

(01:22:20):
like kidding this this sauce is it was like so good.
It was so good, but literally tasted like the butter.

Speaker 20 (01:22:26):
Yeah, and you can you can always like get rolls
to go home to John Jay like my customers. Yes,
I'd be like, you have to tick them a blake.

Speaker 2 (01:22:33):
Don't be mean, just the good Like I like each
row and three calories, that's so real.

Speaker 20 (01:22:39):
When I was in called to give them our.

Speaker 6 (01:22:42):
Coach when I played d one, our coach wouldn't let
us get the bread when we were out and a
very toxic environment over there, she wouldn't let us get
the Texas Roadhouse bread. So we would always ask the
server to in our to go boxes to sneak in
the bread and we would just eat them in the
back of the boat.

Speaker 3 (01:22:57):
Discovering this place.

Speaker 1 (01:23:00):
Was a place that delivered like last year, Like the first.

Speaker 4 (01:23:02):
Time we went to Costco.

Speaker 2 (01:23:05):
Walreensj Ali said, I didn't know that they're individually owned.
I figured there was. It was like a corporate thing.
There's no way that you could individually own no ranchise.

Speaker 20 (01:23:14):
When I first started, we had one. We had one
owner and we like he retired, so he basically sold
all of his like stock shareholders to another.

Speaker 1 (01:23:24):
Oh don't do that, you move.

Speaker 6 (01:23:26):
Yeah, honestly, if you did a Texas.

Speaker 20 (01:23:28):
Road Queen Creek, you would Queen Creek down there.

Speaker 1 (01:23:33):
He want me to buy at Texas Roads. I could
just go eat there. That's gonna be right.

Speaker 3 (01:23:37):
I love it.

Speaker 6 (01:23:38):
If you bought a Texas roadhouse, Johnjy, that would make
my life Ali, thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:23:42):
So what you're calling in you roady?

Speaker 10 (01:23:44):
No problem?

Speaker 3 (01:23:45):
Well for three things we needn't know.

Speaker 5 (01:23:47):
The Pew Research Center asked a bunch of people around
the world about the best age to hit some big
milestones in life, and it made me think of you, Peyton,
because you're twenty six right now. And apparently all the
Americans in this on average people said the United States
put twenty six and a half is the best age
to get married.

Speaker 2 (01:24:06):
Got to get after a woman broke You're twenty seven
in a few months, right.

Speaker 6 (01:24:10):
I'm basically twenty I was twenty six and a half
in February just.

Speaker 5 (01:24:14):
Past twenty seven was apparently the best time to come
a parent. Twenty almost twenty nine was the best time
to buy a house, and sixty two was basically the
best year to retire.

Speaker 6 (01:24:25):
So the pressure is definitely not on.

Speaker 5 (01:24:28):
After and that no, because I think the best time
to get married is when you and your partner are
actually ready.

Speaker 4 (01:24:34):
That's me personally.

Speaker 1 (01:24:35):
I don't think you're ever ready to have kids. That
just happens, and you just got to deal with.

Speaker 4 (01:24:37):
It and then you adjust.

Speaker 5 (01:24:39):
Yeah, so apparently receding hairlines are suddenly sexy. I've never
seen white lotus, but apparently on white Lotus, there is
a character named Walter Goggins that fans are claiming he
makes the receding hairline hot.

Speaker 3 (01:24:51):
He's the actor.

Speaker 4 (01:24:51):
It is the phenomenon that even has a name. They're
calling it the Walter Goggins effect.

Speaker 5 (01:24:57):
So experts are so funny because they're like, yeah, it's
more about his riz.

Speaker 4 (01:25:02):
It's more about his charisma, you know what I mean,
the way he carries himself.

Speaker 6 (01:25:07):
They're talking about, yeah, he needs to let it go.

Speaker 3 (01:25:09):
That looks good, he looks he's one hell of an actor.

Speaker 13 (01:25:13):
Man.

Speaker 1 (01:25:14):
Oh yeah, everything.

Speaker 5 (01:25:15):
This is a woman who went viral because and I'm
wondering what you guys are doing in the situation, She's
a little torn of what to do. Her ex boyfriend
has asked her to reimburse over twenty five thousand dollars
because he contributed to household expenses in a home she owned.
Throughout their seven year relationship. He put money towards her house.

(01:25:36):
The woman said that when she first started dating him,
he was in debt. She only charged she paid less
than eight hundred dollars a month towards expenses and rent,
and she's like, that's basically it, So why do I
need to pay back anything? So I'm like, he would
have had to pay rent anywhere he went and wouldn't
get reimbursed from from doing it to his landlord's house.
So I'm like, probably not gonna work there, but just bizarre.

Speaker 6 (01:25:58):
And I mean you're paying for things for the comfort
of your home as well as your girlfriend. Like, no,
that money's gone. Yeah, don't be like that. Don't be better.

Speaker 5 (01:26:05):
Yes, sorry, dude, Just yeah, goodbye counter losses or whatever.

Speaker 4 (01:26:09):
And that's three things you need to know.
