It was supposed to be the start of a beautiful relationship,
but somebody screwed it all up.

Second date update right now with John Jay and Rat.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
John Jay and Rich. It's time for second and update.
This is where we're going to talk to Bryce here.
He went out with somebody. He wants another date. He's
not getting it. We're going to find out why. Good
morning Bryce.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Hey, Good morning guys.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
How are you. What's your situation? Happy New Year? By
the way, what's your situation?

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Happy New here?

Speaker 4 (00:22):
Yeah, so I ran into Mira and we actually went
to high school together, but we ran into each other
while we were out on New Year's Eve with our
friends and we all ended up hanging out and having
fun the whole night.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
It was great.

Speaker 4 (00:37):
There was even a part where we kissed at midnight,
and like me and this girl, we were really vibing.
I mean, at least for the night we were. And
I'm not sure if I did something wrong or upset
or what. But after a few days of texting, I mean,
we went out and I haven't heard anything from her.
So I'm a little worried as we're supposed to go

out tonight.

Well, did anything happen on that date that would make
you think, like, would make her lose interest in you.

I think no, I think it went pretty good because
I mean like, I mean, yeah, we had a few
drinks and stuff. I just I don't remember doing anything
like out of line.

So here's the deal. Bryce goes to a New Year's
Eve party and sees a girl who went to high
school with and they hit it off. Right, That's just

What Happy New Year? You guys? Kiss? Yeah? Yeah, okay?

Does it go further than that or it's just a kiss,
full on makeout session and then you guys exchange numbers
and you want to see each other again?

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Is that what happens, you know, it's just a couple
of times, like, okay, there's three times, so that was
that was fun. But yeah, that's why I'm just like,

But then but then you make plans and you go
on a date.

Yeah, and yeah, you're supposed to have now a second
date tonight with her and you haven't heard back from her, and.

You know what date wrong? Okay?

Yeah, very interesting pieces to the puzzle because everything sounds good.
I think a makeout on New Year's Eve and then
more kisses afterwards, that's a good sign, you would think.
But then something must have happened on the date.

about you since high school, like, oh my god, I

I'm with John Jay and Rich and we just wanted
to talk to you on the radio this morning, if

Hi, So we wanted to talk to you a little
bit about about New Year's Eve and a couple things
since New Year's Eve if you don't.

Speaker 5 (03:47):

We got a call from a guy that says you
and him hit it off on New Year's Eve.

Yeah. This guy's name is Bryce, right, you know exactly

So he's reaching out to us because he says that
you guys really hit it off, and the way he
explains that sounds like it was fun. You guys made
out New Year's Eve. He went on another date and
you're supposed to draw it tonight, and he hasn't heard
from you. So he came to us asking for help.
So we thought we would call you. You could talk
to us completely anonymously, except we know it's you, and

they kind of go over what happened with Bryce.

Speaker 5 (04:29):
Oh wow, Okay, well you guys, Okay, so where do
I start? I mean, honestly, he's not wrong. He's a
really great guy and we were an absolute match and
it was my news resolution this year to really just
kind of focused on myself. But when I saw Brite,

I don't know when I saw him, we just hit
it off. We had such a great night, and when
I kissed him, I knew that this they wouldn't get.
This is just too much. I could we could feel
the electricity in the room and the chemistry was palpable,
and I just felt like if I really want to
focus on myself and I can't go falling head over

hills in love like it's we have we'ren even six
stays into the year yet, like can we all relax?

Okay, okay, I'm sorry, but this this is actually insane.
So like you're you're into me, but you're you're not
interested in any type of relationships.

it's just I don't. I don't want to keep making
the same mistakes. I am notorious. I I just you.

I mean we're like this that was good, Like we

is we had a really great time, yes, right, And
I feel like if we were to move forward, at
least on my end, I can see this going really far.
But I know that I need some time between my

last relationship and any new relationship to really just focus
on myself. And that's just where I'm at. And that's
why I'm pulling back a little bit. Not because I
don't feel the same things that you may feel on.

A bummer, for price, but that seems very mature, because
you don't want to get into a relationship where you
still have wounds from the last one.

Otherwise you just carry that with you. She knows she's
vulnerable as what she's saying.

Yeah, I mean, I just feel like we could do
you Like, we could just even be friends or something
like that. Like it doesn't even have to be that serious.
We could just like I understand you wanting to put
yourself first. I just I just feel like we should

the value of your New Year's resolution over the value
of your romantic relationship, which could be a fantastic relationship.
Maybe you could see him and work on you as well,
because it sounds like you like him but he likes you,
all right, I mean that's what it sounds like.

But you're kind of like, I made this resolution.

Speaker 5 (07:34):
I like him a lot. Yeah, I'm more than like him,
but I need some space. I need some time. Am
I'm not in the best space. And I don't think
I could pretend to be friends with you because I
don't want to be your friend.

Got to tell you a collar in a month, my
friend zone my boyfriend and we've been together for four
and a half years now. I told him, I was like,
you don't want any part of me. I need to
focus on myself. And the next thing, you know, he
wheaseled his way in because he insisted on being friends.
But I'm myself more now that I'm with him. So
there's there's a pro andocon to it.

Well, hopefully he will find somebody else.

Wants it's cool. Brice got like three other dates tonight

You just have to like, I've been honest and clear
about where I am and we'll see if you know
you can respect that. But I don't for her the
