this morning, I was like, hey, wow, you look really
nice and she said rebrand.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
Thanks John.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
I think you don't look nice, but I really like
the way you have your hair, your makeup, and like
like I could see how it was like you're working
it out because a couple weeks and we're talking about
how your cheeks were really bright. Now like no, I'll
blends in like you're blending yeah, looking fat And then
like for me, like I saw the Oscars last night
and thought one of the highlights and we're gonna do
a whole oscar thing. But was Adam Sandler. You know,
(01:06):
I'm kind of infatuated with sometimes his wardrobe. And I
have the same hoodie he had on, and I have
a lot of the hoodies from that brand, Aviator Nation.
And when he when he was when they cut to
him in the crowd, now oscars, everyone's in gowns and tuxedos, right,
but he was dressed terrible, like he's basketball shorts.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
Honey, the whole thing.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Conan pointed it out, Adam, what.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Are you wearing?
Speaker 3 (01:26):
Nobody even thought about what I was wearing?
Speaker 2 (01:28):
You brought it out.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
I don't care about what I wear, but when I
don't wear good bye bye snazzy jim shorts and fluffy
sweatshirt of fan you so much that you had to
mock me in front of my beer.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
I'm sorry, howdam I apologize?
Speaker 3 (01:45):
I'm going I'm gonna go off. I go yeah later,
one more thing, shout it.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
So he's wearing this hoodie by Aviator Nation. And I
have my trunk full of east because every morning and
we wake up, I come in here it's cold, and
when I leave, I take off my hoodie and I
throw in the trunk of my car and my my
trunk's been filling up and filling up and filling up,
and I knew I had that hoodie he had on.
So this morning I got up and opened up my
trunk and it wasn't I emptied it out, it wasn't there.
(02:16):
I had to go upstairs. My wife had it folded
somewhere in my laundry, of all pass so then I
grab it and it's not exactly. It's the same blue,
but it's not the same logo. I have another colored
one with the same logo. I was so disappointed, But
for the most part, I have the same hoodie that
I'm Saandlor has. Is this John Jay sitting next to
me or is it Adam Sandler? I can't tell.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
I can't tell.
Speaker 4 (02:36):
I learned his outfit and I love that. Like the
Adam Sandler look is literally called the Adam Sandler look.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
I know it's a legit thing.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
Like especially like if you walk into any high school,
you see like ten people that look like Adam Sandlin.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Right over the weekend, Rich MC this big event, and
I was there. I was supporting my pal, and you
did a great job. By the way, it was the
boys and girls club thing right, and iHeart had a
table and I was sitting there at this table. It
was a Saturday night and my friend I had a
friend who was a guest. He was sitting with me
(03:08):
and he was telling me how the night before, on
Friday night, he went out with Academy Award winner Kevin Costner. Oh,
how did that happen?
Speaker 4 (03:16):
What?
Speaker 1 (03:17):
Kevin Costner was in town for a charity event on
Friday and my friend was there and Kevin Costner and
my friend have a mutual friend, so they went out
Friday night. And he was telling me about what it's
like going out with Kevin Costner and it's unbelievable, just
women throwing themselves at him. And he was staying at
a hotel way up north, and my friend talked him
(03:40):
into staying at the new hotel that's by my house. Right.
So Saturday night, the night of Rich's event, I'm sitting
there and Rich's wife is at the table. My wife
is at the table. Riches jumping up on stage, coming
back and forth, and I say to my friend, I go,
what kind of friend are you like? Why wouldn't you
tell me call me and say, hey, do you want
to come out and go out with me and Kevin Costner,
And he goes, would you have gone out with us?
(04:02):
I go, of course I would have. Not all the time,
you get to hang out with an Academy Award winner
that's big time Best Director for her Dances with Wolves
and all these great movies. He's in Yellowstone and he goes, well,
I'm meeting him tonight after this event. You want to
do you want to go out with us? I was like,
no way, why would you skip on? That's what Rich's
wife said. You heard the whole thing. He's like, we're
(04:23):
meeting at nine thirty to night. Rich's event was over
at nine meeting a night thirday, go nineteen thirty early
on a Saturday night. He goes, come out and because
we're going here and they were going here, and I
was like, oh man. He goes, there's ten of us.
I don't want to hang out with ten guys and
haven't talked nine guys and Kevin tossers.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
Imagine the stories you would She told me what Stacy said.
She told me she was like getting getting into the frage.
He's like, you know, She's like, I told him, you
gotta have a picture for the Graham. I'm like, Stacy,
you don't even have the Graham.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
She's kind think of all the content triget again by
going out and I go, you know, if I go
with Kevin Costler and I have all this content, I'm
gonna sound to our audience, I'm name dropping. Oh you're
hanging out with Kevin Costner. What about the content of
me not going out with Kevin Coustler? No, like reverse
name dropping, I'm disappointed in you. Well, well you'll know.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Did you go out with Kevin Coster?
Speaker 3 (05:17):
No?
Speaker 1 (05:19):
But I asked my friends send me pictures I can post.
So I have those pictures I can post to my
friend Kevin Costler. Now, the reason I'm not telling you
my friend's name because it's gonna it would make the
story even more complicated. It was Kevin Rowe. So I
was like Kevin row and Kevin Costler hanging out. So
I said to Kevin Rowe, I go, do you think
Kevin cost remembers her name? He goes, we have the
same name. I go, No, I'm just kidding, like I
would think you would remember anyone named Kevin whose your
(05:40):
name is Kevin? Right to me telling the story, If
I said and Kevin Roe is sitting with me, and
Kevin Roe was hanging out with Kevin Cosser. I think
the story would get complicated, but now that I told
the story, now I can recap by telling you it
was Kevin Rowe. Okay, pictures of Kevin Rowe and Kevin Costler.
Speaker 4 (05:54):
I feel like I'm a little disappointed in you for
not going out.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
I know Stacey said j would never up with somebody
else not going out with.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
She was next to me and she was like, are
you seriously not gonna Like she got so excited that
I got invited, Like she was so used dropping Yeah, hey,
you gotta go, But no, I'm not gonna go.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
Dare you?
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Anyway? So at this event, it was a really nice event, right.
It was like, you know, big conference room, tables, riches
on stage, is a rock star Everyone was dressed like
a rockstar event. And it was my son. My son
Camp who lives in Hawaii, had a basketball and then
plays basketball in college. He had a game that night
and it was supposed to be nine to thirty our time,
but they changed it to where it was six thirty
(06:37):
our time. Right, So it's right in the middle of
this event, that's right when it started, and my wife
is like, I want to I'm gonna watch this game.
I don't want to be rude, but I'm going to
watch our son play basketball. So she had it on
her phone. It was just like being those dudes that
are like, can't miss the World Series in the Super Bowl,
And so my wife is watching our son play basketball
on her phone and I'm watching it too, and I
(07:00):
feel so terrible because there's all these emotional things going
on on stage, and our table is at the front,
so when we're looking at our phones, we look so
rude to the people behind us. So when the game
was over at some point, and it's so great because
I happened to be filming my wife watch my son
and he hit a three. He was playing at three now,
and you can hear us at the I put the
video on my instagrament here's go. Yes, But we gotta
(07:22):
be to be very quiet because we're at this table.
So during during the like a little bit of a
down time during the event. After the game was over,
I was going to the tables behind us and apologizing.
I'm like, I'm so sorry if we were watching ourselves
playing basketball, and it was so funny because you get
it was a lesson because nobody paid attention to us
watching that they didn't know what I was talking about.
But I still had such huge guilt. Yeah, do you
(07:42):
know what I mean? Sure? Anyway, and then I saw
Payton you had a basketball weekend too.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (07:46):
So on Saturday, I coached high school girls basketball at
Basha High School in Chandler, Arizona. And we've had a
historic run this year. We made it to the Elite eight,
which is the first time in program history ever ever
been done.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
Yeah high school. You know who I was with? Who
I was with, David Basha. Look at that. That's crazy.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
Yeah, I know.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
So it was awesome. We actually ended up playing Sunnyside
Out in Tucson. We ended up losing the game, so
our season did end, which was really upsetting because we
totally should have won. We totally had it, but we
just couldn't get the job done. But after the game, right,
it's the end of season. Historic season. We have two
seniors that are graduating and the rest of our teams
coming back. Like that's pretty crazy, Like we're really set
(08:32):
up for success the next couple of years. And it's
been this year for me, has been like an extremely
like trying season. It's been a battle, it's been a grind.
We've had transfers come in. It's been a pretty crazy
last couple of months. And I feel like I've been
specifically tough on our girls because a lot of them
have the capability to be able to make it to
(08:53):
the next level, and I luckily was able to do
that at multiple levels in college, right, and so I'm
pretty hard on them. I try to hold them accountable
because that's what they want. And I wish that I
had a coach like that in high school that would
have pushed me to my high stability, aside from my dad.
And so I give my speech after and honestly, this
whole season, I've kind of had a vibe. I'm like,
(09:14):
I don't know if they really like me, but very
much like like I know they like me, but like
I don't think I'm one of the faves anymore. That
kind of vibe. And after the game, I give my
speech and basically every single girl came up, gave me
a hug, told me they loved me, and said thank you,
and I was like, I started crying like a baby
because I can't help myself. But I'm like, it makes
it all of it worth it. And it's like, even
(09:36):
though I've been I might have been harder on myself
than how they really thought, you know what I mean.
Like I was like, I'm so inside myself.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
Just like I was saying, we were so inside ourselves
at the game, thinking people behind us like, how rude
you get caught in your head? Exactly, nobody cares. Nobody cares, right,
we're all just trying to win.
Speaker 4 (09:55):
We're all going towards the same goal.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
But yeah, that's good Graduate Issues painting. You made it
that far.
