Speaker 1 (00:00):
John tay Rich shoot us a text text JJR whatever
you want to say to the number.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Nine six eight ninety three.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
I listened to all of the couple's therapy podcasts with
Kyle and her husband Fish, and there was a couple
things that I wanted to highlight I thought were incredible.
And then when I got to our text line, there
was a Kim set a text. I called because Kim's
text was exactly what I wanted to bring up this
morning's a version of it, and I just called Kim.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
She's about to take her kids to school. I said, Kim,
can you wait so we could talk to you on
the air. Good morning Kim, Good morning Kim.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
And Levine by the way, But anyway, Kim, so well,
let's get into your text.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Yeah. So when I was listening to the podcast, all
of them have been so great, but Kyle's just hit
me because hiding in your car like that is that's
to hit my soul, Like I have tried to hide
so many times in my room and everyone is banging
on the door, Mom, what are you doing?

Speaker 4 (00:57):
Can I come in?

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Like no, I'm trying to watch like Lotus get out
five minutes and yeah, like I never thought of like
hiding my car. That's where my husband goes to hide.

Speaker 5 (01:08):
It's a garage.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Why am I not thinking the same thing? And it's
just like yeah, I was like, yes, it's so.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
Resonated with my life.

Speaker 6 (01:15):
That's so funny.

Speaker 7 (01:16):
As you know, though it didn't work, they still found me.

Speaker 6 (01:19):
Find you anywhere.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
You gotta on your way home, you gotta. I used
to park under a tree on the way home just
to have some peace.

Speaker 7 (01:26):
Yeah, but then what do you do, like when you're
already home and everyone's already there, you just need a minute, I.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Kim, thank you so much for calling and sharing your
text with us.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
Yeah, of course, thank you, guys.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
I have the kids still still make any time, They'll
still make it a time. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Yeah, I thought that was so funny because when I
was listening to the podcast, you drop the way you
paint the picture of the story. I actually I lo
o led out loud the way you're like, you got
to put the seat back, but it's you just want to,
You just want to disappear, but you can't so the
kids can find It's so funny.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
So but I also like the way that you acknowledge it.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
I have to go away where I'm gonna lose my
ish for people, like I need to go in darkness
or what the.

Speaker 7 (02:11):
World is Just you just need a minute, you know
what I mean. Like when life gets frustrating and you
know your breaking point is about to be reached, you
have to like have those coping methods like I just
gotta I just got to get out of this situation.

Speaker 6 (02:23):
Otherwise there's gonna be an explosion.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
We're smart. Most of us have the explosion. We go oh.

Speaker 8 (02:29):
A few days later, you're like, wow, that wasn't good.

Speaker 7 (02:32):
I'm not to say that doesn't happen sometimes too highly.

Speaker 5 (02:36):
Hi.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Yes, good morning, Hi, good morning. What's going on?

Speaker 4 (02:40):
It is my forty fifth birthday today birthday? Yeah, and
I'm just wanted to call you guys because I listened
to you all the time and I'm in Denver with
my best friend and we were laughing because we're not old.
We woke up this morning. We had massagyne at the
warst Usion yesterday. Sweet we woke up and we justified
it because we're forty five. But art we're sore because
the massages because we're old.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
There wei have a birthday. Thank you for you guys. Okay,
all right, Peyton, So what's your dilemma?

Speaker 6 (03:10):
And it's a.

Speaker 5 (03:10):
Big dilemma, I mean, at least in my world right now,
because I'm a notorious procrastinator.

Speaker 6 (03:16):
But I thought I was doing good this time.

Speaker 5 (03:18):
So I'm going to this wedding on Friday, and it's
for one of my like like old friends from high school.
We played basketball together, we kind of stay connected. I
low key got like the last second invite because someone
dropped out of the wedding. But it's fine, like I'm
just glad to be there, open bar, you know, it's
gonna be a good time. But actually one of my
best friends, her name's Peyton, it spelt the same way anyways,

(03:38):
she's the maid of honor, and so I texted her.
I'm like getting ready for this wedding, and I had
ordered these two adorable dresses. They're like this like sage
greenish color and I was going to Princess Tiana vibes
right because the wedding it's supposed to be like spring
colors and floral and I'm like.

Speaker 6 (03:55):
Okay, green perfect.

Speaker 5 (03:57):
So I text my friend Peyton, who was the maid
of honor, and I was like, hey, just curious because
I still have to get Kadem's outfit. What's the bridal
party wearing, because I don't want for him to be
matching the bridle party. And she text me back She's
like different shades of green, and I was like, there's
no way, Like, there's no way that you're having my
color of dress in this bridle party. I don't know

(04:18):
why I thought I was like immune to having a
dress that matches everyone else. Like I was worried about Kadem,
I wasn't thinking about me, And so now I'm in
this situation where I have to find a new dress
because I can't match the bridle party.

Speaker 6 (04:34):
Like that's weird, right.

Speaker 7 (04:35):
I mean you're not if they're wearing different shades of grass.
I guarantee you there's gonna be other people in green
if it's like springy colors.

Speaker 6 (04:41):
But I sent screenshots to my friend and she was like, yeah,
I get a new dress.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
Oh okay, I don't want to match anybody like so
I'm like, I don't want to have the same dress
as someone. So it's not like I can just go
on Amazon and find a dress, because I bet you
a million people have dresses from Amazon. My dresses weren't
from Amazon.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
I know you want to steal the Thunderway from the
bride and brid You're Leo.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
You just said Leo's main star energy.

Speaker 6 (05:03):
I don't want to have the star of that wedding.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
No. Also, another way of looking at it is is
that you're you got invited because some of those dropped out,
So you're like they might not even notice you.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
You're going to be the loser table.

Speaker 6 (05:18):
It's possible. No, it's I mean, it's people.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
It's a girl I went to high school with, and
so I know she was a year older than me.
So I'm gonna know a lot of people there. They
just aren't my age, Like they won't be like my friends.

Speaker 7 (05:28):
Isn't there like a small part of you though, that
regrets even texting asking because you would never have known,
and then you would have just showed up. You'd be like, oh,
I guess I kind of like fit in with the
bridle party, but at least like if those are the
colors the bride likes, at least like it's more a
part of her wedding.

Speaker 6 (05:42):
Yeah, I can feel I hear you. But now that
you know, it's kind of like I've heard you're not
supposed to.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Wear red or white, right, like everything else is fair game.
I just feel like, but it's likely that you sent
the text because you're worried about Cadeen's out there. I
mean the guy's outfit and no one's going to go
that guy's dressed just like the bridal part girl, Oh
my god, that green time matches that great?

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Like it's so weird.

Speaker 6 (06:03):
I don't know why I thought that I did so
weird because.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
You have a green suit. But what do you think
he was gonna wear?

Speaker 7 (06:09):
I was.

Speaker 5 (06:09):
I thought he was gonna wear like like if they
were gonna wear khaki suits, like, I wouldn't have him
wear khaki pants.

Speaker 6 (06:14):
I would have him wear like blue pants, Like.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
If they were khaki suits and he had great kaki pants.
You think people to be going, look at that fancy
matches still wedding. Oh my, like a green dress and
the bridal party being a green dress. I could see
them going, oh my god, oh how funny you match?

Speaker 6 (06:28):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
I don't think guys. I don't think guys.

Speaker 5 (06:30):
I feel like if I walked into that wedding, didn't
know the colors and I was matching, I would want
to gut and change.

Speaker 6 (06:37):
Well, at least you know it now, you're not gonna
have that situation.

Speaker 8 (06:39):
Yeah, but no, she's got the perfect dress. It's so
she was Tiana ending up the whole night. It's so
cute too, I think she I think you just wear it.

Speaker 6 (06:48):
No, I'm not wearing it. You have saying my dress
in a different color.

Speaker 5 (06:52):
I don't think it'll get here in time owned, Like
I didn't get them off Amazon, so it's not like
I have like two years shipping.

Speaker 6 (06:56):
So I'm like, you should.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Make an Instagram post to say, should I wear this shit? Yeah?

Speaker 8 (07:01):
What are your other Do you have any other color
options besides that green? Like, what what's another spring color?

Speaker 6 (07:05):
That on the green?

Speaker 5 (07:07):
But I think I would wear yellow. But I'm a
little too pale to wear yellow right now, So I
have no color. I have no idea of color i'
gonna wear anyway.

Speaker 6 (07:15):
That's off.

Speaker 5 (07:16):
That is tough, and it's such You had it already,
and I thought I was ahead of the game, Kyle.

Speaker 6 (07:21):
I was like, I'm doing good. I got this dressed
two weeks in advance, and now I'm scrambling and I'm stressed.
That is kind of it.

Speaker 8 (07:29):
Are you close enough? With the bride where you could
even ask her like, is this too close to your
wedding party?

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Do you think that?

Speaker 6 (07:34):
I mean, we're close enough. I could text her, but
I'm not going to text her the week of her wid.

Speaker 7 (07:37):
Because you already had one of the brides and Native Honor.

Speaker 6 (07:40):
Native Honor.

Speaker 5 (07:40):
She literally was like, yeah, may have sent me some
more if she speaks for the bride.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
At that point, she just goes, why did you not come?

Speaker 4 (07:47):
I think, thank you.

Speaker 8 (07:50):
I'm wearing a stress somewhere support
