You woke up, well, I woke up this morning. No
really cool opportunity. So over the weekend I had the
chance to interview for a in arena host position for
the Sun's G League team.

So the Phoenix Sun's G League team, correct, what do
they call the Valley Son The Valley Sons?

Okay, So basically, if you don't know, like the G
League is a team or a program within the NBA
that kind of has players that aren't exactly like NBA ready,
but they kind of get ready. Some kids or some
guys get pulled up to play in the league. Sometimes
you just playing the G League. A lot of them
play overseas like that kind of gig. And so I
had the opportunity to essentially do like a live audition.

So on Saturday, they had a preseason game and it
was not open to the public. So I had my
first interview just probably about a week and a half ago.

It was just a zoom interview. Made it through to
the second round.

So it was three of us girls that had made it,
and we essentially like battled it out during this preseason game.

Oh really yeah, like live on the mic, live on

Literally like simulated an exact game as if it would be.
They turned off the lights, they had the PA announcer,
they were doing all the stats, they were doing all
of the stuff.

There was probably about forty people in this five thousand
seated arena.

So one of the very first things that we had

We're going to start off with a Saturday party. And
this party starts with the best G League fans something
like that. They give you a script, Yeah, they gave
us a script to read over.

Yeah. And then also like a lot of it was
ad lib and banter. I hosted a game that kind
of stuff, that kind of game. So the game that
I had was like the.

Wheel of free Throws, So we simulated like one of
the people that was working there was my contestant, and
he had to spin a wheel and basically whatever like
whatever item he landed on, he had a shoot, said
free throw, so he landed on the granny shot, so
he had to make a granny shot from the free
throw and had thirty seconds to do it.

One person horse. But the wheel tells you what which.

So whenever I'm there, there's there's a way that the
people always say T shirts that I find annoying, and

Any you know, anybody can hype up a crowd when

the final seconds of the game. But how are you
gonna hype somebody up Peyton when if the Suns are
down by like twenty in the third quarter and there's
a full quarter left and you have a sold out arena,
how are you gonna get those people going?
Speaker 5 (09:11):

Speaker 4 (09:11):
Well, what I would basically say is I would be like,
come on, Valley sentence fans. We all know basketball is
a game of runs. This is a ten bucket game.
Speaker 5 (09:19):
Right here, This is easy. We got this. We got
Jayden Shacklefield over here.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
Yeah, you're using the leguage bucket games. Let me give
you a scenario. Okay, you're about to go on.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
It's the fourth quarter, there's five minutes left, it's a
tie game.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
You just got a text with your mom. Your dad
had a heart attack on the mic.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
You gotta give energy, but your dad is in the
hospital right now, almost about the flat line.
Speaker 5 (09:46):
I'd be like, all right, ladies and gentlemen, it is showtime.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
Show time. Yeah, let's pray for showtime.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
Let's get those that was so dark start. I'm sorry you.

Weren't the one leading the audition. There's three minutes left.
You just found out Kajem was in a car accident.

Speaker 5 (10:23):
You can't even I think I would cry at that point.
I'm not going they forget about.

I guess we'd have to go to I've never been
to a league game. I haven't either.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
No, I've thought about going the summer league because a
lot of G League summer league, right, I've most gone
to a couple of Summer league games.
Speaker 3 (10:39):
They were speaking of basketball.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
So my son, Dutch is a manager for the University
of Arizona and he's a freshman, and the team went
on the plane with a bunch of sponsors and they
went to Vegas. Dutch and three other managers drove and
they decided to go to the game, and they got tickets.
Speaker 3 (10:56):
Right behind the bench.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
You could see Dutch straps games, screaming and yelling do whatever.
I woke up this morning and Dutch was at home
all his friends and they left whatever. They got home
at two o'clock in the morning, and I think they're
getting up right now because they got to be a
practice at nine or something this morning. She drove from
Vegas and they crashed at our house just to get
a little recess.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
They go back.
Speaker 5 (11:18):
I'm a college kid. He's going to be fine.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
I know he's gonna be fine. But it was just
funny when I woke up and I'm like, something's weird.
There's keys on the counters or a car I don't know,
and I'm like, what car is that? And I look
in and there's people sleeping everywhere.
