It's Friday.
Speaker 4 (00:28):
Yay, good Friday.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
He's good Friday. That's good. Kyle. Your cousin, what'd you
do with your cousin?
Speaker 4 (00:37):
My cousin came in town and you guys, it was
like so cool because you know, when you don't see
your extended family for a really long time, I love it.
But then you get together and it's kind of like
you revert back to your childhood. That's kind of how
it felt. And like we went over to my brother's house.
We're all hanging out, my sister's there, all the kids
are playing together. My cousin has four boys, and so
(00:57):
it's like in our family, it's majority like all of
my mom's grandkids are mostly girls. So like, if my
brother doesn't show up to something, Easton's playing with just girls, right,
because my brother has two boys. But this is the
first time that it was like boyfest.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Right.
Speaker 4 (01:14):
There's like, let's see five, six, eight boys running around
and it was just like it was heaven for them, right.
So it's a little bit of chaos though at the
same time, and everyone's packing up saying goodbye, looking for
their stuff, and my niece Kinsley is like, I don't
know where my phone is and we're like, okay, well
let's go look for it.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
Right.
Speaker 4 (01:34):
She's like, I gave it to you, mom. She says
it's to my sister, and my sister's like, you didn't
give it to me. She's like yeah, I did. So
they start this mother daughter fight and everyone else is like, well,
just go look for the phone. How about that? So
we walk around the near the backyard. We're searching high
and low. We can't find this phone anywhere. So we
go did you bring it inside? No? I didn't. I
gave it to my mom. Okay. So we're just like
(01:56):
literally looking all over the place, and my sister eventually
is like we gotta go. My cousin, who was in
town from South Dakota was leaving the next day, had
already left, and we're like, maybe there's a small chance
that one of their kids packed it up in their
mom's bag. Right, So I text my cousin, heyns, we
lost your phone. If you happen to find it, please
(02:17):
let us know. Right, So we are trying of freaking out.
We all leave right and in the car on our
way out, my mom's driving, I'm sitting in the passenger
seat and I'm kind of looking through my bag and
I'm like, uh, making sure that I didn't forget anything,
And there's the phone in my bag at Kyle's. Like,
(02:37):
I was like calling her immediately I found the phone.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
Actually, you can make a case that everything that gets
lost ends up in your person.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
And this looks like a tote bag, so there was
a lot of stuff in there. I don't know how
it got in there. The only thing that I could
think of is it was in the bag that I
kept my sunscreen. And it's like it's like a pink
and red checkered bag. So it kind of looks like
maybe it would be a younger, it would be my
niece's bag, and I think her phone case was like
bright and florally, so I think maybe my aunt uncle
(03:08):
had taken it and put it in there, and then
someone put it in my bag for me.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Far were they gone when you had found it?
Speaker 4 (03:15):
Like we were, We were almost right outside of the
neighborhood turn around, so I was like, stop where you
are and for some reason, we're rushing back when we
know they haven't actually fully left yet. And then we
did this cool thing. It was like a movie. The
cars were driving opposite ways and we just hold the
phone out the window and it was this smooth transition
(03:35):
and it was just this twelvemut where it's like like,
how was.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
It in my bag?
Speaker 3 (03:39):
So I you didn't wait till get home and they
were like searching for it and they see you find
my phone. It's at aunt Kyle's house. Yeah, don't why
why they call you? Be like, it's not in my house.
I'm never phone and it says, so right here and
ther phone's at your house.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
Well they did the find my phone, but her phone
was dead.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Then we couldn't phone's dead? No, interesting? Does it tell
you where it was last time?
Speaker 3 (03:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (03:59):
And it said it was at the house, so we're like,
it's here somewhere. She's like, well, it was here before
it died. But it definitely died. But it was definitely
one of those moments where it was like I felt
like I did something wrong. Yeah I had the phone,
but I was searching for it the whole time.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Let me ask you a likely story. Of course you
were searching for it, yet in your let me get
your opinion on this.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
Do you remember a while ago I think I shared
the story that my son Jake lost his wallet and
then we were like and then somebody had charged something.
And then we found out that after a week it
was in Blake's car.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
We found it.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
So it was just a random coincidence that someone charges
something that it was one of those things, right, I
think it was a week we waited. So my son
camp who lives in Hawaii, he went grocery shopping, get Safeway,
and then he went home, unloaded the groceries and he
can't find his wallet. Right, and it's been a week now,
Oh it's been five days. The immediately my wife went
to check did someone charge anything, and they haven't charged
(04:50):
anything yet. So go through the bags, go through the car,
go through everything, call safeway.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Nothing yet.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
So now let's say it's been five six days, nobody's
charging anything yet. So to me, I feel like it's
gonna pop up somewhere. It's gonna turn off pro Do
you make that gamble? Because also it was his driver's license.
Credit cards were in there, and he's gonna get on
a plane in three weeks to come home.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
So do we he needs his license?
Speaker 3 (05:12):
I mean he does have a passport, but it's like
he has nothing now, he has no money. He's been
doing stuff on Apple Pay on his phone. But how
long do we wait before we.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
You know how that works, right as soon as you
oh yeah, you'll find it. Yeah, as soon as you
replace it, that's what it will show up.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
Yeah, I think you got to replace it. But five
days would be my max.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
But also it's not like anyone's charging you. I know,
I feel like it's just sitting there somewhere.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
The replacement cards come fast now they usually come two
or three days. Same thing with ID you can get
it on your phone right away.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
So there's also like like I just feel like I feel.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
Like a game it's gonna pop up.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
I do it happens all the time it happens to
you a year later, I know.
Speaker 4 (05:55):
But not like my wallet stuff, but that stuff. I mean,
I don't think I would wait on that.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
I've lost my wall before and found it later in
the day.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
Yeah, but you you don't have the same responsibility Jeane
that everybody else does.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
You should replace it. Well, I'm leaving up to Blake
what she wants to do.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
She asked my opinion yet last night, and I was like,
just wait, I think it'll turn up because this kid,
you know, he is my kid. I mean, his engine
light went off. He's like, what do I do? And
I was like, go to the car dealer or go
to a mechanic. So he waited like a week, which
is what I do. Then he or he waited. Yeah,
he waited like a week and then he goes to
the mechanic and his gas cap is loose.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
That's actually.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
I know the check it does it does? It was like,
I'll loose you know, I don't know. I had a
car on one of my car two cars ago, was
same thing. If the gas cap is loose, it triggered
everything all hell broke loose.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
Yeah, remember that when you had that car with a.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
Pain any hoodle Kyle found the wallet or Kyle found
the phone, and the missing wallet from my son is
still out there. So if you stole it, you have
the credit card by yourself, lunch and then we'll catch up.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
For three things we need to know.
Speaker 4 (07:07):
A suspect is in custody following a deadly shooting at
Florida State University yesterday. I saw it all over social media.
Just devastating. Turns out the shooter is a son of
a sheriff's deputy, and authorities say that the weapon found
at the site of the shooting was actually his parents.
Two people who were not students, were killed, six others
were injured. The shooter was neutralized and taken to the
(07:30):
hospital as well. The chase for the NHL Stanley Cub
begins this weekend. The first round matchups will begin over
the next few days. Meanwhile, the NBA Playoffs also start tomorrow.
The Boston Celtics will try to repeat its champions while
fifteen other teams will scramble for the title. Spill the
tea they found. Gossiping is actually great for your mental
(07:52):
health and is considered a healthy way to socially bond
with other people of course experts say yes, it can
be harmful when it's used to exclude others, spread misinformation,
or make someone look bad, but in its basic form,
it's a fundamental part of communication. When used productively, gossiping
can help us learn, connect, and in many cases actually
(08:14):
protect ourselves. And that's three things you need to know.
