Speaker 3 (00:13):
We're not talking about rid ten team.

lastly fixed your eagle double gizsel in your face to
me and in the place to be And.
Speaker 4 (00:22):
You're listening to John Jay and Rich, Wake your Assja.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
Jay and Rich our phone number eight seven seven nine
three seven one oh four seven. The text line you
text jj R and whatever you want to say to
nine six eight ninety three. Speaking of texting, Ed texted
us about a.
Speaker 5 (00:38):
Text am I right, ed, Yeah, I did.
Speaker 6 (00:42):
What was your text about a text?
Speaker 5 (00:44):
Well, I was listening to you guys talking about, uh,
you know, sending wrong texts, and I actually sent one
to my boss that was meant to go to my wife.
I'm a painter here in Tucson. I was on a
job site and my wife sent me some unsolicited photos,
you know, sexy, lingerie whatever. And at the same time,
(01:06):
I had a thread open with my boss, so I
accidentally text him, Hey, I want to make a movie.
With you in that outfit tonight. And I didn't even
realize I sent it to him until he replied, no,
thank you.
Speaker 7 (01:23):
I'm that so mortifying.
Speaker 8 (01:25):
Every time we hear this stuff, I'm always like, I'm
so glad that your boss was a man, because if
it was a woman, it would be a totally different story.
Speaker 5 (01:32):
Yeah, it was the most embarrassing thing. I went to
the shop later that day and he opened the door
and said, hey, honey, and I just turned red.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
I on the side. Note though, I love the relationship
with your wife. I love the response you gave her.
I want to make a movie with you tonight. That's
such a fun response, you know, like I would have
never been in my rolodex. I would have been more perverted,
but that was such a fun thing to say. Good
for you. How long you guys been married.
Speaker 5 (01:59):
We've been every ten years.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
Keep it going, brother.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
I was already thinking of like perverted things to say
involving paint.
Speaker 5 (02:06):
But oh, we get there, we get it takes a
build up.
Speaker 6 (02:10):
John Jay, Hey, ed, thanks for listening. Man, have a
great day.
Speaker 5 (02:15):
Thanks you too.
Speaker 6 (02:16):
I love all the wrong text stories.
Speaker 9 (02:17):
They're so funny, I know, because it's so like It's
so relatable because it happens so easily.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
I know, Peyton, you said that the girls that you're
coaching at Basha are clout chasing you.
Speaker 6 (02:28):
Yeah, how they're.
Speaker 10 (02:29):
Totally trying to use me for clout.
Speaker 8 (02:31):
So we had a game last night and before our game,
I get into the office, like where our locker room is,
and we have an office in there, and the girls
are in there making tiktoks and they're like, coach be,
coach b come make a TikTok with us, Come make
a TikTok with us, and like, I want to be
here as a TikTok. What y'all doing? So they're like
telling me all the dances that they're doing, and I'm like, no,
I don't want to do that one.
Speaker 10 (02:52):
I don't want to do that one.
Speaker 8 (02:53):
And eventually we decided on the one we would do
because I felt like it was easy enough. And so
I'm trying to hide in the back and are like no,
coach be, coach be, like you get in the front,
you get in the front.
Speaker 10 (03:03):
I'm like, I don't want to be in the front
of your TikTok, like I have no rhythm.
Speaker 8 (03:06):
I'm like, no, I'll be in the back and you
guys will be in the front and be Q and
they're like, no, coach me, You're the star of the show.
And when they said that, I was like, Oh, you
guys are plotting on me. And I was like and
they said it. All of them said it like they
had rehearsed it or something. And I turned around, I said,
are you guys trying to get me in a TikTok?
So I can repost it on my TikTok because I
have more followers than all y'all combined.
Speaker 6 (03:29):
Now, you know how we feel.
Speaker 10 (03:35):
The time the times.
Speaker 8 (03:39):
So while we're at it, I'm gonna plug my instagram
wit more pink with an egg follow me.
Speaker 10 (03:46):
Yeah, I did the tic stok.
Speaker 8 (03:48):
They totally filled my head up. They totally repost it. Yeah,
I reposted on my TikTok, but I'll post it on
our John Jay and richistagrams so you guys can see us.
Speaker 10 (03:58):
Okay, So we did this. No, we did a dance
to like the say Bells Jingling singing that song.
Speaker 8 (04:05):
Okay, But it was kind of funny because as we
were trying to figure out what TikTok we were gonna do,
they were telling me all of these trends and their
trends from songs from like when I was in high
school that we had on vine and I realized, as
I'm looking at all these tiktoks, that TikTok has completely
ruined the art of twenty twelve to twenty sixteen vine era.
(04:25):
So they the dance that they wanted to do was
juju on that beat.
Speaker 9 (04:31):
This dance.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
I remember this song. Yeah, I remember the dance of
this song though, Glad, don't tu, don't stop. It's funny
how you say you have no rhythm.
Speaker 7 (04:49):
You clearly very coordinated, the same.
Speaker 10 (04:53):
You ugly you your daddy's son.
Speaker 8 (04:56):
Okay, right, Like I'm and so I'm watching it, and
then another one of our coaches, Kayleie, she's a couple
of years younger than me, and we're watching it and
we're like time out.
Speaker 10 (05:07):
That is not the Juju on the beat dance.
Speaker 8 (05:09):
So this TikTok video that they're showing us is doing
these weird dances like where they plug.
Speaker 10 (05:13):
Their nose and they like swap things away.
Speaker 11 (05:15):
Like this.
Speaker 10 (05:17):
From I don't know, but it's not Juju on that beat.
Speaker 7 (05:20):
So you're doing it wrong.
Speaker 8 (05:22):
We're literally like trying to make them watch the old
videos from like twenty twelve. They're like, you guys are old.
We're like, okay, first of all, we're gen Z just
like you guys are gen Z. We might be on
the older end, but we're still gen Z, and so
we refuse to do any of their stupid little fake
dances that they put out there.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
I don't remember Vine being dancing. I remember, I know
TikTok was dancing. I remember Vine being so short. They
was just like that, right, I don't remember watching Vine
trying to do a dancing went viral. Yes, are you
sure it's not TikTok that you're talking about?
Speaker 8 (05:58):
Positive, Yeah, but it would be like it would be
like you know, Juju on that beat or like hit
the nana.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
Yeah, I remember that on TikTok, And they do that
different too.
Speaker 10 (06:13):
They do it differently.
Speaker 8 (06:17):
They like add in different parts to the dance, but
also have some of the original parts. Long story short,
we refused to do them, and we're like, find something.
Speaker 6 (06:27):
What were you in twenty sixteen?
Speaker 2 (06:28):
How old were you?
Speaker 6 (06:28):
Twenty seven?
Speaker 10 (06:29):
I was the senior in high school. I was seventeen years.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
Oh, that's when TikTok started see I think you're having revisionary.
Speaker 7 (06:35):
History, and I think, fine, TikTok.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
I think she was doing TikTok dances and she's thinking
it wasn't. I was so in divine. I was the
leader in Vine. Everything they had to do with Vine,
I was on top of it. There was nobody more
vine worthy than me. And I don't remember dances on Vine.
Speaker 10 (06:52):
It was all of it.
Speaker 8 (06:52):
Like stuff got reposted most of the time. When stuff
went viral, it was like on Twitter you would get
all these retweets and stuff. Instagram you were just posting
like we filtered photos of your food. Like social media
is a totally different ballgame nowadays, and it's so crazy
how these kids have just totally taken it and flipped it.
But it's still kind of the same. But I'll repost
the videos you guys can see.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
Okay, go to John Jay and Rich on Instagram and
you can see the video of Peyton upset at her
basketball players for stealing cloud as she steals our cloud
John Jay and Rich on Instagram.
Speaker 9 (07:28):
Coffee in hand earbuzds on John Jay and Rich.
Speaker 6 (07:31):
Nobody asks Peyton what's a BUYE for horscopes.
Speaker 8 (07:33):
Today, I'm letting you know what your holidays social battery
is that based off your zodiac sign. And if it's
your birthday today, you share a birthday with Sarah Paulsen
and Nat Wolfe.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
Cheryl, good morning. What's you're signing?
Speaker 4 (07:44):
Gemini?
Speaker 1 (07:45):
All right?
Speaker 8 (07:45):
Gemini is your social battery. It's unpredictable and fully dependent
on who's in the room. This holiday season, you could
go all night if the conversation's good, but one boring
person and you're a mentally gone. So you're gonna thrive
in short bursts of chaos and fun this holiday season.
Speaker 10 (08:00):
In Okay, Yeah, you're welcome.
Speaker 6 (08:03):
Nice Cheryl.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
Hi, Susie, good morning.
Speaker 12 (08:07):
How are you?
Speaker 6 (08:08):
Yes, I can hear you.
Speaker 13 (08:10):
I'm at Costco so you know, Oh.
Speaker 6 (08:12):
You're a Costco. Okay, well thanks for calling us work.
Speaker 13 (08:15):
I'm a I do the jewelry. I'm a vender. Okay,
I do the men's change everything. But anyway, go ahead
and read it.
Speaker 10 (08:25):
What is your signed, Susie?
Speaker 14 (08:27):
It's a rgal Oh perfect virgo.
Speaker 8 (08:29):
Okay, just like you, John Jay. So I'm telling you
guy about your holiday's social battery. Your battery is going
to drain from over stimulation, noise, mess and disorganized plans
is going to take you guys out. Yeah you can hang,
but only if you feel things are going to be
intentional and calm, so quiet structure is going to be
your version of rest this holiday season.
Speaker 13 (08:46):
Great. I know, gosh, that cost a week so crazy
here right now?
Speaker 10 (08:51):
I'm sure Costco is always crazy.
Speaker 6 (08:54):
Any sales going on over there, SUSI.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
You sell any special sales at Costco or it is
what it is, no negotiating, you know, I.
Speaker 13 (08:59):
Do this, I do the I have a binger for
hard time for the jewelry you ever, you know, yeah,
young guys, jewel you know their sterling silver, the chains.
Everybody loves. It's called our tune. So everybody sees me
as you walk in the door, I'm here.
Speaker 6 (09:15):
Yeah, smile from Susie. All right, Susi, you have a
great day.
Speaker 13 (09:17):
Thank you you too.
Speaker 6 (09:21):
Hey, Larry, what's your sign? Good morning?
Speaker 15 (09:23):
Good morning?
Speaker 1 (09:24):
Mat is the libra sure perfect?
Speaker 8 (09:27):
Just like Kyle, you guys are twins, libras your guys is.
Social battery is going to run on people, but too
many opinions are going to exhaust you. So you love
social settings, but playing peacekeeper during the holidays is draining
for you guys. So Libras choose the vibes, not the drama.
Speaker 9 (09:45):
Oh really, uh huh?
Speaker 16 (09:50):
Who the funk?
Speaker 1 (09:52):
You're all vibes. You sound like you're all vibes and
no drama.
Speaker 16 (10:00):
My bark is worse than my bike.
Speaker 13 (10:02):
Just kidding them, all right, Larry.
Speaker 6 (10:05):
I have a great day, Larry, thank you for listening.
Speaker 13 (10:07):
Hey, I wanted to ask you guys a question.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
Sure, have you ever met Inza? Who insa?
Speaker 2 (10:16):
Who open the door?
Speaker 17 (10:18):
And influenza?
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Larry? I love a good joke this time of year.
Speaker 12 (10:27):
Oh man, I got one moll for you.
Speaker 6 (10:30):
Okay, Larry, go ahead.
Speaker 13 (10:32):
Do you guys know your Greeks?
Speaker 18 (10:35):
You know the Greek people?
Speaker 13 (10:37):
Yeah, well they do not like early sunrise? Why becas
don's tough on grease.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
Larry, give us the Larry joke of the week once
a week, call us.
Speaker 6 (10:55):
Yeah, alright, that a great day. What do you have
for Pisces?
Speaker 1 (11:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (11:00):
Rich for my Pisces.
Speaker 8 (11:02):
Your battery absorbs everyone else's mood, which can get really
exhausting fast. So you love the magic of holiday gatherings,
but you need some quiet time to decompress afterwards. So
alone time is going to help you feel like yourself
again this holiday season.
Speaker 10 (11:16):
Alone.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
I don't like it. I don't care for it. Everybody
knows it.
Speaker 6 (11:18):
I'm like, all right, if you get your signed there,
I'll post on our website. John Jaydrich dot com.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Nice John Jane Rich, Good morning, Christina, thanks for holding
Good morning.
Speaker 6 (11:30):
What's going on?
Speaker 3 (11:31):
Okay?
Speaker 19 (11:32):
So I actually sent him a question because I need advice.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
Okay.
Speaker 19 (11:37):
I have like kind of a different dynamic in my
family and my little sister, she's twenty years younger than me,
and she goes to a school and they were doing
like a little pre like concerts sale, and she was
selling items and she has like this super cute teacher
that she adores, and she asked him if he wanted
(11:59):
to buy that they were selling, and he was like no,
I'm so sorry, like I'm trying to save all my money,
but I could pay my phone bill, which I'm like
so sad because I don't think he should have said
that in front of the students. But my sister is
like really soft hearted, and so she told me about that,
and she's like, I want to get him something for Christmas,
(12:20):
but I don't know what to get him, and so
it's really stuck in my head for the last few days,
and like, we want to get him a gift, but
we don't want to offend him. So I need advice
on what we should get her teacher for Christmas that
might like take a little stress off his plate.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
Well, I mean, you could get him a gift card,
a cash card so he could pay his phone bill.
Speaker 9 (12:41):
That's that's hard wing that hit me. It's like, you
can use this for whatever you want. We heard you
mentioned your phone bill. Maybe this could help towards that
or help.
Speaker 19 (12:48):
Okay, mention the phone bill.
Speaker 6 (12:51):
I mean he meant first, right, well, what was it
that your sister was selling?
Speaker 19 (12:58):
So she was selling flowers.
Speaker 20 (13:00):
It's like a little fundraiser.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
I give him the flowers here. He couldn't afford it.
I got them for it Christmas.
Speaker 10 (13:06):
That doesn't help it.
Speaker 7 (13:07):
They want to be helpful, right and thoughtful.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
I mean, if if it's the first thing on your
mind is your phone bill, he's probably not thinking about
anything else. You don't want to say so you can
pay your phone bill because that might embarrass him a
little bit. So yeah, I think just get him a
cash card. Let him do whatever. He wants with it.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
I thought you were going to be like, why is
he talking like this in front of my sister. We
don't need to know his private life about his bills,
because now it bums you out right.
Speaker 21 (13:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 19 (13:31):
I think that he's like one of those teachers that
has like kind of like a he's like a chill
guy and has like a cool relationship with them. So
he probably didn't think it was a big deal.
Speaker 14 (13:40):
That was what I thought.
Speaker 19 (13:42):
I'm like, ugh, but also like times are tough right now,
you know, so we want to we want to help
him out. Okay, if I were to get the gift card,
how much should we put on the gift card for him?
Speaker 2 (13:53):
Twenty five bucks?
Speaker 9 (13:54):
I mean, it's totally up to you your budget.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
What if you give the gift card and he's like, oh,
this is great, but you know, I still have like
some prostate issues.
Speaker 6 (14:02):
I got preseidis at my elbow.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
But he's he's just just starts rambling on all these
personal issues.
Speaker 6 (14:10):
Yeah. Oh no, well yeah, I would say twenty five bucks.
Speaker 19 (14:15):
Okay, all right, sounds good.
Speaker 22 (14:17):
Well, thank you guys so much.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Hold on, what if he said that because that was
on the top of his mind. And now you get
him a card and he's been like, what's this about. Well,
you said, you said that you were you were trying
to pay her. I think that'd be tough to be
a teacher and take a twenty five dollars gift card
from a kid to pay my phone.
Speaker 9 (14:35):
Bull give teachers gifts during the holidays, It's not unusual Apple, Like,
I think he appreciates whatever it is, you know what
I mean, Like my kids are bringing their teachers Christmas gifts.
Speaker 6 (14:45):
Like, well, what's the gift. What's one of the gifts?
Speaker 7 (14:46):
Like Starbucks gift cards?
Speaker 6 (14:48):
How much?
Speaker 9 (14:48):
How much the Starbucks giffers over like ten Bucks? Those
are for like their like electives teachers, but like their
homeroom teachers. They're getting like Amazon gift cards and like
a Stanley cup and like some.
Speaker 6 (14:58):
Other Oh that's good.
Speaker 9 (15:00):
But I think that, like, that's really nice of you.
I think they'll appreciate what anything.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
Give a gift card to find out if you can
see what mortgage company has on his home and maybe
here's twenty five dollars towards your mortgage.
Speaker 6 (15:14):
All right, We'll.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
Thank you, Thank you so much, guys.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
Thanks for seeing that.
Speaker 6 (15:18):
All right, Bye? Thanks for listening.
Speaker 19 (15:19):

were up.
Speaker 12 (16:33):
Hey guys, So I love listening to War of the Roses.
My boyfriend and I listened to it on our way
to work every morning and not gonna lie. I run
a pretty tight ship, and like my boyfriend knows how
I would react if you like pulled any of the
stuff that these guys sometimes Paul and I get like
really entertained listening in the car because I just go silent,
(16:54):
and I watched him get like more and more uncomfortable
when these guys are like messing around, and I kind
of think, give him beside, and I feel like it's
like a good little reminder to like not step.
Speaker 7 (17:04):
Out of line.
Speaker 12 (17:05):
So thanks for all you do, big Dan, Bye.
Speaker 24 (17:10):

Speaker 22 (18:32):

a lot of names.
Speaker 14 (18:36):

it Sophia? Yeah?

Was it Sophia.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
It came out as the most beautiful name in the
history of names, is Sophia.
Speaker 8 (19:09):
That's pretty. I really like the name Caprit for a girl.
I think it's like unique.
Speaker 10 (19:12):

Speaker 24 (20:05):
The best part of the show this morning, No worries,
It's all there on iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
It's time for stacks and hacks. I have stacks of
information and Rich has life hacks. I know we talked
a lot about a few times about Dick Van Dyke
turing one hundred years old. Yeah, oh wow, you know
I was I was interviewing my friend Lolo from Lolos
Chicken and Waffles the other day. His grandmother's is still
alive and she's one hundred and two. His grandmother's sister
is still alive and healthy and she's one hundred and eleven.
(20:32):
One hundred and eleven.
Speaker 7 (20:34):
Its genetic lottery, still moving around and moving.
Speaker 6 (20:37):
Around and totally normal.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
Yeah, having a good life at one hundred eleven. But
I say this to his Dick Van Dyke in his lifetime,
he's been alive so long. He was alive to see
Babe Ruth hit four hundred and five home runs Babe Ruth.
Speaker 10 (20:49):
Dan a long time ago. I feel like that's like
you see it in black and white history booked.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
H There is a naked Christmas tree trend going viral
on social media, which is exactly what it sounds like.
Speaker 6 (21:00):
And I bring this up because I know Kyle's first
time ever heard of it was from Kyle. How's that?
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Going naked pietry without any ornaments, decorations, and sometimes even
without lights.
Speaker 6 (21:10):
It's big with celebrities right now.
Speaker 9 (21:12):
Oh really hmmm, Oh we do have lights on ours though.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
Today is chocolate covered anything day and America's favorite thing
to cover in chocolate is bacon, then bananas, then cherry's grapes,
pickles and insects.
Speaker 10 (21:23):
Strawberries not on that lists. Pickles on there, that's a
crime of gross.
Speaker 2 (21:28):
The last thing you see when you go to bed
and the first thing you see when you wake up
is most likely, according to survey your phone, there's a
rise of something called vibe dating. Do you guys know
what vibe dating is? Vibe Young people are growing tired
of online dating checklists and are now returning to good
old fashioned chemistry, just chemistry.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
I just had somebody that was single on a plane
next to me said that she prefers blind dates because
she said, if you look at somebody's Instagram, you probably
like tear them apart and not feel the vibe off there.
But if you meet them in person for the first time,
then you could get past all that superficial step and
figure out if there's a real connection.
Speaker 6 (22:06):
It makes sense word for Miley Cyrus.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
A Washington, DC family says that more than one hundred
packages which were intended for a local hotel have been
delivered to their home over the past six months. This
is the homeowner, Brittany, talking about what's been happening the.
Speaker 25 (22:20):
Past six plus months. We've been getting at least over
one hundred packages, I would say, and we've received everything
from cat food to vitamin supplements to even a chainsaw.
For more than half the year, I've been receiving Amazon
packages meant for hotel guests at the Rlow Hotel. They
(22:41):
are inadvertently clicking on our address, which shows up first.
Speaker 10 (22:46):
Unfortunately, it's been a lot of.
Speaker 25 (22:48):
Late nights, like after eight pm, where folks are coming
and knocking on our door, which is pretty tough when
you have a kid that's frustrated.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
Yeah, anybody here have a rumba?
Speaker 6 (22:58):
Yeah you do?
Speaker 2 (22:59):
Do you love it?
Speaker 9 (23:01):
Our rumba has not run for about a year.
Speaker 6 (23:03):
Guess what they just filed bankruptcy?
Speaker 10 (23:05):
Oh really Yeah?
Speaker 9 (23:06):
They bring the right off, so.
Speaker 1 (23:07):
They're not going to take over. I thought they were
going to be the first round of the robots taken over.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
I know, you know those movies where they take the
rags soaked with chloroform and they put it over their
nose and then the person they put them to the
prison goes past that. I guess they did a bunch
of research on this stuff. It takes five minutes for
you to pass that a long time.
Speaker 9 (23:25):
It's kind of like on like Ace Matruro when he's
getting the guy that's running he has to like it
takes him a really long time.
Speaker 6 (23:30):
On that one, well, I don't remember that scene.
Speaker 9 (23:33):
He's like he's trying to check ring super Bowl rings,
uh huh. And he's like there's a football player and
he's on the track and he's running after him, and
he does the chloroform thing or whatever, but like the
guys still running with him.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
I guess in the movies it takes two seconds, but
in real life it would take five minutes of doing that,
of holding the chloroform for them to breathe.
Speaker 6 (23:53):
What do you have for life? Hacks Rich?
Speaker 1 (23:54):
All right, here's a wild one that I just figured out,
or not figured out, but learned about yesterday. What achiez
you faster than bad? Eating, drinking, drugs, skipping workouts are
almost anything else?
Speaker 6 (24:06):
Smoking chronic stress?
Speaker 7 (24:09):
That makes sense.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
It's bad. So how do you start destressing today? It
sounds silly, but it works. Slow everything down on purpose
for Oneman, especially if you're stressed out over the holidays.
The experts say walk slower, too, slower, lower your shoulders.
Unclench your jaw, take three slow breaths like you're trying
(24:30):
to fog a mirror. Your nervous system takes that hint
and goes, oh, okay, we're safe now, don't We don't
need a SPA day. You just need to stop moving
like you're late all the time when you're not. Try
to get out of your stress this next season or
this holiday season, and you will look younger. That is
Facts that Life packet. Many more can be found a

Speaker 17 (25:12):

Speaker 9 (25:14):
She's used to stuff like this because she has brothers.
But I'm still sorry.
Speaker 21 (25:18):
Oh yeah, then every day every day?
Speaker 1 (25:23):
Kay?
Speaker 2 (25:24):
Okay, serious, serious stuff, Okay, serious, tell us a little
bit about your friend Latria.
Speaker 21 (25:32):

Speaker 10 (25:44):
And daughter.
Speaker 21 (25:47):
She's amazing. She continues to pull strength from places that
I'm not sure where she gets it from, but she's
gone through a lot in the last few years, so
I'm excited to do.
Speaker 10 (25:59):

so she can only call on FaceTime.
Speaker 6 (26:21):

Speaker 21 (26:23):

Speaker 10 (26:26):

that makes sense.
Speaker 2 (26:31):

Christmas wish today because as we're calling for Latria, she

Speaker 28 (27:02):
Okay, I'm handing Latria the phone.
Speaker 7 (27:04):
Yeah, okay, what is happening.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
So can you put together what we're trying to do
right now? Could you got a vibe?

Speaker 8 (37:26):
I was looking at my hair because I'm trying to see.
We have these like new fancy cameras in the studio

make sure my hair looks good in the video.
Speaker 1 (37:35):
Christmas.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
Anywayiam, our phone numbers eight seven seven nine three seven
one o four seven. We do need to contestant for
a minute to win it, so call eight seven seven
nine three seven one oh four seven while we wait
for a minute to win a contestant. Today, if we
continue Spirit Week, and all the years I've worked with Rich,
I've never seen him one d totally into Spirit Week
(38:06):
and he's crushing it.
Speaker 1 (38:07):
Thank you. You are a good week for a lot
of pressure though. Ye, so today's self pressure is amazing.
Speaker 6 (38:12):
What's so let's start up?
Speaker 9 (38:13):
Monday was Beanie Day, right, flannel and Beanie Day, which
I was surprised Rich did not complain at all, and
he says, an next beanie.
Speaker 1 (38:21):
Person, I'm not a beanie person. Doesn't work well for
my my cranium. I either look like a doc worker
or a suffering from some skin crippling disease. It's not good.
Speaker 7 (38:30):
That's great, you were fine.
Speaker 9 (38:31):
Tuesday was Grinch or Santa, and I loved everyone's outfits,
and then today is ugly sweater Day.
Speaker 2 (38:38):
So every day has been your choice of two things,
and finally today's just like you don't have this, like
I'm stressing both, you know, like yesterday Grinch or Santa.
Speaker 1 (38:47):
Yeah, the sweater Day picton actually yelled at me yesterday
I did.
Speaker 8 (38:50):
I said, don't wear that Cashmeir sweater you wore a
couple of years ago where it was fancy.
Speaker 1 (38:55):
That's ugly. It's like a Grandma sweater.
Speaker 2 (38:58):
So the city you have on now is a T shirt, right,
but it looks like a sweater, which is acceptable, you know.
Speaker 1 (39:04):
I mean when you see it on video, it literally
looks like a ugly sweater.
Speaker 2 (39:08):
No, it's great.
Speaker 6 (39:08):
Where'd you get that?
Speaker 2 (39:09):
Walmarts?
Speaker 10 (39:10):
It's like a vest.
Speaker 7 (39:11):
It's great.
Speaker 10 (39:12):
This best shirt.
Speaker 1 (39:13):
My Walmart people never let me down, by the way.
That is elite people watching this time of year and
when you go to Walmart and it's like this this
great mixture of hope and unhinged. We gave up on targets,
so now we're here, all happening at the same time.
You see people on a mission, you see people done
with the mission. You see people that maybe have been
up for five days, you know, know what they're doing
(39:35):
in there. And then I found my Walmart. And I
don't know if you you They're all Walmarts are created equal,
but mine actually abandoned my Christmas sweater at one point
because I saw that had an AW stand there the
root beer place.
Speaker 6 (39:48):
Amazing.
Speaker 1 (39:49):
When's the last time you had a from the tap
in a and W root beer?
Speaker 10 (39:53):
The last time I went to Walmart?
Speaker 1 (39:54):
Amazed?
Speaker 2 (39:56):
Yeah, town too, the last time I really had one?
Is what I'm probably driving to California. When you stop
in youma or globe, not your globe, youmor or in
the town I sade Ema Paige, the bend, the band
court site, no whether it was used to be in
and it just used to be in an aw rooper
stand there stand alone and you drive and now it's
still there, but it's just close.
Speaker 10 (40:17):
Oh that's a bummer.
Speaker 8 (40:18):
They have these at anw It's like the root beer
float frosts and it's like, oh my see, it is delightful.
Speaker 1 (40:26):
I just couldn't go that deep into it because I
was like, this is way too much sugar ready, so
I stopped it for the root beer without the float. Okay,
but it made the Walnut Mart experience so much better.
And this Christmas water.
Speaker 2 (40:36):
Are we gonna play minute to win it? We got
one thousand dollars of Pat Hickey's money. Are contestant. I
want to make sure is it? How do you say
your name? Dianni? Okayannie, it's a very pretty yeah, all right,
you know how to play minute? Joanni?
Speaker 22 (40:50):
I mean yeah, me and my ten year old suddenly
listen every morning I'm the way to school.
Speaker 13 (40:54):
So he's in the car with me right now listening.
So he's kind of excited about it.
Speaker 6 (41:01):
What is it?
Speaker 2 (41:04):
That's cool?
Speaker 6 (41:05):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (41:07):
That will be a confusing life for him when he
has to say no not aries right as.
Speaker 1 (41:17):
He becomes famous, he only needs his first name. I
think that's kind of brilliant.
Speaker 13 (41:21):
Oh yeah, he's got a really cool name.
Speaker 4 (41:23):
Yeah, you've got a cool name.
Speaker 1 (41:25):
All right, Dianni. Here we go sixty seconds on the
clock to win one thousand dollars from Paticky and Peoria Ford.
Here we go. Which of Santa's reindeer has a red
and shiny nose?
Speaker 9 (41:37):
Rude off?
Speaker 1 (41:38):
What fruit, when dried up makes a raisin?
Speaker 2 (41:43):
Great?
Speaker 1 (41:44):
What is the name of the ship in the movie
The Titanic?
Speaker 7 (41:48):
Oh, I don't know.
Speaker 29 (41:49):
I've never seen that movie.
Speaker 15 (41:51):
Oh my god, I don't know.
Speaker 13 (41:57):
I don't know.
Speaker 19 (41:58):
Got me on that one, Titanic, The Titanic.
Speaker 13 (42:02):
The Titanic.
Speaker 1 (42:04):
Holiday is known as the Festival of Lights Christmas Festival
of Lights.
Speaker 13 (42:17):
Oh, yeah, No, I don't know that. I don't know
nothing about that. So you guys almost got me in
The Titanic though.
Speaker 1 (42:25):
I always felt, really I did not think that was
gonna be a struggle question.
Speaker 2 (42:28):
But well.
Speaker 7 (42:30):
Though, should there be another name for.
Speaker 5 (42:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 12 (42:34):
Right?
Speaker 13 (42:35):
Be married? Okay, hanikkah, all right, I'll remember that next time.
Speaker 5 (42:40):
But thanks guys, you gotta hold on life.
Speaker 2 (42:41):
Thank you for listening, Thanks for playing. We got a
text message here. If you text us, you text J
j R. And then tell us whatever you want to
nine six eight nine three And this text says not
me in bed sick binge watching Secret Wives of Mormon Wives. Yeah,
and getting really excited when I see a true star
(43:03):
cal unfunny.
Speaker 9 (43:06):
That's so funny because I actually, like, I hosted a
celebrity pickleball tournament where Macy from the show was actually
like doing the TV hosting part. I did the in
game hosting part and Macy and one of the bat
one of the Instinct boys, Joe is not important. Macy
from Real house Real Lives of Mormon Wives or whatever
(43:26):
it's called, it was there. Anyways, I totally forgot that
I was a part of that, And when I started
binging Secret Lives and Mormon Wives, I was like, when
that episode came.
Speaker 10 (43:35):
Up, I like, oh my god, that was me.
Speaker 9 (43:39):
But I am like obsessed with that, Like I can't
wait for the next season to come out.
Speaker 6 (43:43):
That's fascinating.
Speaker 1 (43:43):
It's such great garbage TV, isn't it. And it's just
like it's just like power eating French fries.
Speaker 9 (43:48):
Yeah, and like all of them are all over social media,
like on Instagram and TikTok and they like, I'm following
every single one of them now and I don't think
I've ever really done that besides back in.
Speaker 7 (43:59):
The day with Real Housewives.
Speaker 8 (44:01):
Really, so I feel like it's pretty Do you like Whitney,
the one that was on Dancing with the Stars.
Speaker 9 (44:06):
I did not like her first and second season, but
third season I started to.
Speaker 10 (44:10):
Really like her as she grew on you.
Speaker 7 (44:11):
Yeah, I hate the show. Does that? They like create
the villains and you're like, maybe I liked them.
Speaker 6 (44:16):
Who's the swinger one that did that?
Speaker 9 (44:18):
Taylor Franky Polch. She's the bachelorette right now filming the Bachelerette.
Speaker 2 (44:22):
She the most famous one, probably her or Macy, I
think whoever put the show together.
Speaker 6 (44:28):
Yeah, but anyway, what else are you watching?
Speaker 3 (44:33):
Uh?
Speaker 9 (44:33):
So I started a few shows. I started watching the
one you told us to watch, Ripple, and I'm on
episode three.
Speaker 7 (44:43):
It's so slow. It's it's very slow.
Speaker 9 (44:45):
So I can only like stomach one episode at a
time right now. So this morning I watched one episode
of Ripple and it's it's you get to like the
characters and whatnot.
Speaker 7 (44:56):
But I'm giving it a chance because of you.
Speaker 9 (44:58):
But I think if you hadn't recommended it, I would
stop watching it, right But you say episode seven is
it was for?
Speaker 7 (45:04):
So I'm giving episode seven.
Speaker 6 (45:05):
Is a tear jerker? Is episode seven?
Speaker 7 (45:08):
But I think that's what you would be connected to
but do you see do you.
Speaker 6 (45:11):
See the ripples?
Speaker 2 (45:12):
So you catch it?
Speaker 6 (45:12):
Are you paying attention to see the ripples?
Speaker 7 (45:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (45:15):
I really like Simon Cowell. The next act, I finished
Owning Manhattan, so I started those three shows Owning Manhattan.
Speaker 7 (45:25):
I was like when it ended, I was like, that's it.
I need more.
Speaker 10 (45:28):
I need more of it.
Speaker 2 (45:29):
It's a good show.
Speaker 7 (45:29):
It's a great show. I love that show.
Speaker 6 (45:31):
Simon Cowell Show episode.
Speaker 2 (45:34):
I think the first beginning episodes are really good and
I have hope and you really like Simon Cowell. But
I saw the last episode and I don't agree with
who he picked in the band, and I don't think
he's going to make it.
Speaker 7 (45:45):
Oh I'm not there yet. I'm not there to do
who he's picked.
Speaker 6 (45:48):
To me, it's not it's he lost it. It's not.
It's not like where did he go wrong?
Speaker 2 (45:53):
Do you feel like just picking I don't think the
guy's got that thing When they walk into a room,
you don't go like we you see Harry's audition, Yeah,
you're like, that guy's got something.
Speaker 10 (46:02):
I felt the same way.
Speaker 8 (46:03):
I saw the clip when they like announced who they
were and I was like.
Speaker 9 (46:06):
Yeah, I kind of feel like it's really smart though,
because they're doing a Netflix show. If they do end
up becoming a boy band, we don't know if they do.
It's not like there's a song out already, right, But
if they do end up becoming a band, it's like
you really get to watch the actual journey, which is
really fun and will, I think, connect people more to
the band.
Speaker 7 (46:25):
So I think it's genius that they did that.
Speaker 2 (46:26):
I saw this thing. It was the top three streaming
shows right now in the world, and number one is Purbous.
You in this show, I know, I know, and number
two is Landman, of course, and number three is Abandons,
The Abandons.
Speaker 1 (46:40):
The Abandons. I finished. I thought it was pretty good.
Speaker 6 (46:42):
I'm on.
Speaker 2 (46:43):
I started watching it, and I have such a problem
because the evil people are the van Ass family, and
that's my last name.
Speaker 1 (46:50):
Trouble kills me when I see the do bad stuff
and everybody in the town talks like that, Okay, here
comes one of them boys. Strewed up the town.
Speaker 2 (46:58):
It's terrible and I hate the Gillian Anderson is my mom.
Speaker 1 (47:02):
Gillian Anderson. I didn't recognize her at first because I
just saw her in that Tron movie where she's Llo,
and then here, she's like, we're about to take over
this town or go about to go deep. So she
totally looked different to me. Seemed totally different.
Speaker 6 (47:15):
She does a lot of that.
Speaker 2 (47:16):
There's a new movie coming out, in fact, it's getting
some press right now.
Speaker 6 (47:19):
It's Steven Spielberg's movie. Have you seen it yet? I
heard of it?
Speaker 7 (47:22):
What is it?
Speaker 6 (47:23):
It's Spielberg's new movie called Disclosure.
Speaker 2 (47:25):
It comes out in the summer time, so it supposed
to be one of those summer blockbuster movies. Spielberg invented
the summer blockbuster nineteen seventy six with Jaws. That was
the first summer blockbuster, and because of that, now blockbusters
come out in the summertime. It's a huge thing, and
usually when it's a UFO thing, it's like big, right.
So his in the cast is Emily Blunt And did
you right? Did you see the trailer? I did?
Speaker 6 (47:46):
I was watching it this morning. Bono's daughter isn't there too? Oh?
Speaker 2 (47:48):
Is that who that is? I didn't recognize her. But
the thing that's interesting about this trailer's new movie coming
out is I guess and I don't. They don't really
tell you what it is, but has to be with aliens,
and Emily Blunt is a new a weather person and
she's given the weather and then something happens and I
don't know if she's an alien or they're letting us
know that aliens are here already, which I think Spielberg's
been a big fan of.
Speaker 6 (48:08):
But so listen to this.
Speaker 10 (48:11):
We're na in Kansas City. Let's take another today.
Speaker 9 (48:14):
Let's today is today's.
Speaker 2 (48:21):
Ski sek.
Speaker 6 (48:26):
So she's doing the weather and she's starting she starts like.
Speaker 9 (48:29):
She's converting into an alien something like that, What are
you gonna do?
Speaker 7 (48:39):
Full disclosure to the whole world?
Speaker 23 (48:44):
Lie?
Speaker 2 (48:52):
So I watch it right and I'm like, Okay, I
can't tell it's good. Plus I also don't like when
they use the name of the movie in the movie
trailer full disclosure, like you'd never seen molliam But this
is crazy. This is a Star Wars.
Speaker 1 (49:05):
I thought they call that the tituary.
Speaker 6 (49:07):
It bothers me when they do that.
Speaker 2 (49:08):
So anyway, all I can think about is this.
Speaker 1 (49:21):
What's the deal with all these.
Speaker 2 (49:24):
That's all I think about when I saw that trail.
I don't know if that's going to be a big
Spielberg movie or not.
Speaker 1 (49:28):
I can't tell either.
Speaker 10 (49:29):
I watched a lot of flops.
Speaker 9 (49:30):
I mean, I don't think Spielberg does a lot of flops,
and he does the alien stuff good.
Speaker 1 (49:34):
Et is good, and Close Encounters of a Third Kind
was amazing too.
Speaker 6 (49:37):
That's funny. Has he done a lot of flops? That's interesting?
Speaker 2 (49:39):
I don't know. I mean the Fableman's was. I thought
it was a really good movie. I don't know if
that was a box office smash.
Speaker 1 (49:45):
I mean, I don't The last big one I think
he's done was maybe Ready Player one, which was pretty good.
That's a pretty good.
Speaker 2 (49:54):
Well, he's due for a flop then it just I
can't tell if this is a smash or not. But
it just to me, it's just kind of like plus
coming off the heels of Purbius. Really, when you watch
Purbius has got this vibe. This this movie has a
purbious right.
Speaker 7 (50:08):
So are you still watching that show?
Speaker 6 (50:10):
Yeah? Well, it comes out once a week.
Speaker 7 (50:12):
Oh, okay, what episode is it on?
Speaker 6 (50:14):
Seven?
Speaker 7 (50:14):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (50:15):
And episode seven is the slowest episode in the history
of television.
Speaker 6 (50:19):
So it's really really.
Speaker 2 (50:22):
It is the most successful show in the history of
Apple TV, is what they're saying, don't buy it.
Speaker 6 (50:27):
Who puts out that information?
Speaker 9 (50:28):
Then I don't probably Apple. They want people to watch it.
They're trying to gain hype.
Speaker 1 (50:32):
You know ted Lasso. People talk about ted Lasso all
the time. You don't see anybody dressing up like purbos
for fun. But isn't it like I thought it was?
Speaker 7 (50:44):
Didn't someone call and say it was ribus?
Speaker 1 (50:47):
I don't see already easy to say.
Speaker 2 (50:50):
Christmas Wish season is a full effect. We want to
thank our incredible sponsors. Thank you so much to Lerner
and Row. Lerner, Row gets Back, Green Mango, Pest Control,
Pat Hike, and Pierri Ford. They've opened up their hearts
to make sure all of these deserving families have a
Christmas that won't and wouldn't have been possible.
Speaker 6 (51:08):
Thank you again to learn Her and Row.
Speaker 2 (51:18):
I got a DM on my Instagram this morning an
hour ago, says good morning, John Jay. I was wondering
if maybe you could ask your listeners on the radio
for some advice.
Speaker 6 (51:30):
Please don't say my name.
Speaker 2 (51:32):
My wife asked for a separation, not divorce as of yet.
My wife asked for a separation back in October, and
when she left, she left the kids and me all
she's been doing is going out and having girls' nights,
and yet barely sees the kids. Now my question is,
with Christmas coming around the corner, should I still have
the obligation to get her a present?
Speaker 6 (51:53):
Yes, I still.
Speaker 2 (51:54):
Love her and I'm giving her the space she asked
for before we decide to divorce or work it out.
But the going all the time tells me something else.
What should I do? And I said, hey, I'll bring
it up. You want to come on the air with us?
And he goes, I've been in such a dark space
since she left. I feel washed and confused. So that
eight seven seven ninety four seven, Alicia, you have advice
(52:16):
for him?
Speaker 26 (52:18):
Yeah, I think.
Speaker 15 (52:20):
I think it depends on if she's going to be
spending Christmas with him and the kids. I think, you know,
setting that example for the kids when you care for
somebody or you love somebody, this is how you treat them,
and you know, getting her something. It doesn't have to
be extravagant, but a little something to show that I
care about you, because right now, that's kind of what
(52:42):
is his role is setting that example for the kids,
and so you know, just to kind of make it
easier on them and and showing them that this is
how you treat somebody that you care about. I think
that's probably the most important thing. And she's going to
be separate for Christmas. I say, don't worry about it
unless you really feel like you want to.
Speaker 2 (53:01):
But that's interesting, I said him, he hasn't respond to
your best And does she still live with you?
Speaker 6 (53:04):
Guys?
Speaker 2 (53:05):
Because she still lives with them? Then you're there having Christmas?
How do you get Mama present?
Speaker 15 (53:09):
But yeah, if you don't want to, it's like if
she's there. You have to set that example for other kids,
because I think that's really important, so that they grow
up to know how to treat. You know, their significant
other there to me, they care about and they love.
Speaker 6 (53:26):
Thanks, Alicia, have a great.
Speaker 15 (53:27):
Day, you just thinks he Nicole.
Speaker 6 (53:29):
What advice do you have for this person?
Speaker 4 (53:32):
Well, first off, the word obligation to me is kind
of problematic, So I hate that word. So I don't
want to obligate to do anything for anybody. I do
things because I want to do that for that person.
So if you're giving a gift, it should be because
you want the person to have the guest, not because
you know if you're giving it because of their wants
or their needs. Then that can result in obviously somebody,
(53:52):
you know, you feeling resentment like did they like it?
Was it good enough?
Speaker 16 (53:56):
That?
Speaker 4 (53:56):
Whatever that is about? Like, So, for me, my rule
in gift giving is always is it something that I
want the person to have or is it something I
want to do for the person, rather than you know,
focusing on people as want their needs, because then you're
giving it because of them, not because of you. That's
just my thought.
Speaker 2 (54:11):
Man. You seem like you're a professional counselor think it through.
Speaker 9 (54:15):
But do you want them to have something they want
or need?
Speaker 26 (54:18):
Well?
Speaker 4 (54:18):
I do, But again, if that makes me feel obligated. Again,
that keyword for me is the obligation word. If they
if I feel obligated to get into them because they
want it or they need it, then am I truly
giving the gift because of what I want.
Speaker 2 (54:31):
Them to have?
Speaker 4 (54:31):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (54:32):
I think he's asking something a little different than your
answer though. I think he's saying, like, hey, she decided
she wanted to split, I'm gonna give her space, But
do I need to get her a present for Christmas?
Or did she make her decision and my good, right,
I think that's what he's asking.
Speaker 13 (54:48):
Well, I think and I hear that.
Speaker 4 (54:49):
But at the end of the day, if he's granting
her the space that she asked for, because she didn't
just walk out our leave, clearly they must have had
some kind of discussion or conversation about the separation and
now he's looking at her social media or whatever, or
her going out with her girlfriends, and he's putting weight
on that decision. Now he's feeling obligated. If that's the case,
if you don't want to give her space, then break up,
then you filed for divorce. Don't wait for her to
do it. At the end of the day, if you're
(55:10):
giving her space, love her the same. Who's who did
and if she wants to that's my dog chiming in
as well. If you want to give her a gift,
you give her the gift that you want her to have,
not because of feeling obligated.
Speaker 12 (55:20):
That's my thought.
Speaker 2 (55:21):
Thank you, Nicole, Jessica. Before you give us advice, I
asked him, I said, does she solib with you? And
you just see in back he goes, no, she moved
out the day she asked to be separated. Okay, Jessica,
what's your advice.
Speaker 26 (55:32):
Yeah, I kind of figure out one because she said
the kids hardly Sam, So my advice is just to
don't waste the money on her, but focus on the
kids because I've been through it as well. So I
very much know you have to focus on the kids
because I know I focus, but they feel it more
so if you need it, because she might not show up,
(55:56):
So then he has to make sure that they have
a happy Christmas regardless. It's true happy regardless what she's doing.
And they are number one in your life. So I
feel like he should focus on them. Don't waste money
on her. She shows up, she does, If not, my
kids are going to be happy.
Speaker 16 (56:13):
Curious.
Speaker 2 (56:14):
See I thought that she didn't that she did live
there because he knew she was going out on girls
nights all the time.
Speaker 7 (56:18):
Maybe she's posting it or something.
Speaker 2 (56:19):
Thanks Jessica, Shane, what's up here on there? Good morning, Shane, Shane, Shane.
Let's go.
Speaker 16 (56:27):
Good morning John Jay. So, in my opinion, gifts are
never an obligation. There's no rule book that says you
have to buy a gift for somebody. If you buy
him out of the kindness out of your own heart.
If you're wanting to buy a gift, buy a gift,
doesn't matter how big, doesn't matter how small. But just
(56:49):
the fact that you're question in it makes me believe
that maybe you shouldn't. That's my opinion, all right.
Speaker 6 (56:56):
Thank you, Shane Kendall, good morning.
Speaker 14 (56:58):
You're there, Ay, good morning.
Speaker 22 (57:02):
So my opinion is I don't think he should buy
a gift for her, but depending on the kid's age,
you should.
Speaker 14 (57:07):
Let them pick something out.
Speaker 3 (57:08):
For her because regardless of their relationship status, so her
kids as well.
Speaker 1 (57:14):
That's really good advice.
Speaker 20 (57:17):
Yeah, but leave the relationship out of it. Do it
for the kids.
Speaker 6 (57:21):
Thank you, Latina, good morning.
Speaker 30 (57:25):
Good morning. I definitely would say that because I've been
in that position before. I did leave my kids and
my husband about ten years ago when we separated and
I was doing the same thing, and the ones I
get hurt the most are the kids. And when we
finally got back together and we discussed it, the biggest
(57:45):
thing was being there for the kids and letting the
kids see that I still did love them. So for
him to keep his feelings out of it, as much
as you know, he might want to say, hey, why
is this happening and work on his self, and she
passed the word work on herself too, but for the
kids to still be involved and hopefully she comes over
(58:06):
and let them pick something out for her, because that's
gonna make them happier, because in the end, it's the
kids that get hurt the worst.
Speaker 6 (58:14):
So you went back. Now you guys are together.
Speaker 5 (58:17):
Yes, yeah, when you.
Speaker 6 (58:18):
Left, you left for how long?
Speaker 1 (58:21):
I left for?
Speaker 4 (58:25):
Eight years?
Speaker 1 (58:26):
Dang I almost yeah, I'm almost never heard of a
separation that lung. That's it, gets back together. You're a
rare one.
Speaker 3 (58:35):
Yeah, we stayed.
Speaker 30 (58:36):
Yeah, we stayed married. And you know, I went through
two other relationships and it was really an eye opener
and a wasted time because at the end of the day,
out of each of those two relationships, they both said
how much they hated my husband because I cared about
him and my kids the most instead of them, and
so it just, you know, it was it was a struggle,
(58:59):
and it was a you know, a big life lesson
on both of our ends. But now we're stronger than
ever and whatever thing we go through, we we can
do it. You know, we know we can do it.
Speaker 6 (59:09):
That's great advice. Thanks Latina. Juan, good morning. You're on
the air.
Speaker 2 (59:16):
Oh, good morning.
Speaker 6 (59:18):
What do you got?
Speaker 1 (59:18):
Yeah, so I feel like that ship has failed for
that guy.
Speaker 17 (59:23):
You know, it's probably just sending him a rough message
to the kids.
Speaker 2 (59:27):
By alling, allowing all that other and.
Speaker 31 (59:31):
All the gift giving and all that. Just that bird
left the nest, bud.
Speaker 1 (59:34):
He it's time to move on.
Speaker 2 (59:36):
Yeah, tough words, that's how guys are. Let Melissa, good morning,
go ahead, you're on the air.
Speaker 22 (59:45):
Yes, So she also might take the gifts the wrong way,
like he's trying to win her back with monetary things,
and the gift doesn't have to be an item. He
could just write or something and be vulnerable and write
how the separation has been affecting him, right, Like what
he's going to do to actually change and affect the
(01:00:09):
relationship in a positive way to have her come back.
Speaker 2 (01:00:12):
I guess it depends what the gift is, like if
he got her like, here's some talent, all because you
go out every night your girlfriends and help me to
hang over?
Speaker 16 (01:00:18):
Right?
Speaker 10 (01:00:19):
And do we know if he wants to get back
together with her.
Speaker 2 (01:00:21):
He sounds like it.
Speaker 9 (01:00:22):
It does kind of sound like he doesn't want it
to be over because he has hope.
Speaker 2 (01:00:27):
Let's see what Roy says, Roy, good morning, you're on
the air. Here go morning morning Roy.
Speaker 17 (01:00:34):
And that ship or so that made if he if
she already left him and the kids a bit of.
Speaker 29 (01:00:40):
A guy that did that.
Speaker 17 (01:00:41):
You gots can be saying, oh, you guys are be
on the guy. But with the girl doing that, that's
just that's just wrong.
Speaker 2 (01:00:49):
You don't leave your family.
Speaker 17 (01:00:50):
I was looking on that for thirteen years and she left.
She left, and I just raised them and just did
did my own just got mole.
Speaker 2 (01:01:00):
All right, thank you, Roy. I mean see it a lot.
This is a this is a hot topic. There's a
hot button with people. It's like my time are a
hot button. There's a hot button, you guys, I gotta
hit that so hard because he's a button.
Speaker 10 (01:01:14):
You're gonna be mad.
Speaker 7 (01:01:15):
It's a button, not a whack a mole.
Speaker 6 (01:01:20):
Uh wow, everyone's gone about this, so okay.
Speaker 2 (01:01:22):
I was gonna move on to something else, but if
you eight seven seven nine three seven one o four
seven a messaging, I'm still dming with him right now.
Speaker 6 (01:01:29):
He's at work.
Speaker 2 (01:01:30):
I should jump on the air with us, because I
don't believe I can step away at work.
Speaker 6 (01:01:33):
For the moment, so maybe we'll have more Jean Jane.
Speaker 24 (01:01:39):
Which call the show at eight seven seven seven.
Speaker 2 (01:01:43):
We are in the middle of this situation with this DM.
I have with a guy that wanted some advice. His
wife left him and the kids, and he's like, do
I still get her a present? And so an update,
I said, are you guys spending Christmas together with the kids?
And he DMA right now, He's like, I'm not sure nothing.
He's been communicated to me. The kids have the communication
(01:02:05):
with her and they've told me. She hasn't said anything
to them. The only thing said to the kids was
presence will be limited from her end. Kids are seventeen
and twelve. Then I said, did she seeing other guys?
Does she work? And I can see the three.
Speaker 6 (01:02:19):
Little dots so he's working on a Rea. Yeah, Denise,
good morning, Hi.
Speaker 11 (01:02:24):
Good morning.
Speaker 13 (01:02:25):
How's everybody's doing? Great, fantastic.
Speaker 11 (01:02:31):
My opinion on this is, never ever compromise who you are,
not ever, especially when the kids are around, because it's
about the example. You know that you're setting for the kids,
so you know, and even if he didn't get a present,
right then you know Christmas is happening. And then he's
(01:02:51):
still in all bad then now he's in his feeling.
It's about not kidding a gift, you know what I mean.
She's always going to be the mother no.
Speaker 7 (01:02:59):
Matter what, So you think he should get a gift.
Speaker 11 (01:03:03):
Absolutely Yet Oh okay, you can change who he is
not ever?
Speaker 1 (01:03:08):
Well yeah, they always say it's sub point. Even if
your kids don't understand what you're doing, at some point
they'll figure out for themselves where you stand in the
whole separation thing, right, they'll make their own opinions. So
just be a person of integrity the whole way through.
Speaker 15 (01:03:25):
Perfect.
Speaker 11 (01:03:26):
That's exactly right. So get the gift and continue to
be who you are. I mean, don't you know? Still
the kids are watching you know what I mean? They
will They're like recorders, they will repeat it.
Speaker 2 (01:03:40):
Well, thanks Denise, thank you. Hey Ali, Before he tell
us your opinion, he's just updated me. I go, is
she seeing other guys? And does she work? He said, yeah.
It hurts me so much that I feel like I
failed my kids having the family.
Speaker 6 (01:03:52):
They deserve to have. I am not sure if she
is all.
Speaker 2 (01:03:57):
I know that before I got hit with the separation,
she was back in talks with an old friend that
has been married three or four times, and each time
it's to a younger guy. So I'm sure that friend
is introducing her to his younger friends. One thing she
did tell me was I got married so young, and
then I got pregnant right after the wedding, so I
missed out on so much for my youth, which I
took as I stole her going out days she does work.
(01:04:19):
I don't want to give too much because I'm afraid
she could be listening. Okay, Ali, your advice, go ahead.
Speaker 23 (01:04:24):
Okay.
Speaker 14 (01:04:24):
So if he's going to get her something, he should
get her something useful, like where she gets her hair done,
or her nails or something. Because I went through that
was the person that I was with for eight years,
so the father of my child. But it was uncomfortable
because after we separated. His gift that he got me
was a pair of keys to an apartment.
Speaker 1 (01:04:43):
Oh nice, that sounds cool, thank you.
Speaker 6 (01:04:48):
Oh no, it was.
Speaker 14 (01:04:48):
It was an apartment for it was an apartment for
the two of us to move into because that's the
thing that I wanted the most, and he never wanted
to do that.
Speaker 10 (01:04:58):
So what did you do?
Speaker 14 (01:05:00):
I kindly told him no, and I told him that
unfortunately I had made my decision because it had been
eight years in relationship hadn't gone where it needed to go.
Speaker 10 (01:05:12):
Good for you.
Speaker 6 (01:05:13):
All right, thank you, Alie. I got more. He goes,
I said, hey, make sure you listen to the podcast today.
Speaker 2 (01:05:18):
I don't know if he's listening live or NOTXY at work,
and then he goes, thank you, John Jay, Can Kyle
and Peyton give me their opinions?
Speaker 6 (01:05:24):
And I think you have right? Or have you not?
Because I was just like, listen to the freaking podcast.
Speaker 8 (01:05:29):
I think I think I agree with the first lady
that we talked to, where it was just like, if
you are spending Christmas with the kids, get her something small,
you know, just so it's you kind of save space,
you're keeping the peace.
Speaker 10 (01:05:43):
But if not, I don't think you need to.
Speaker 9 (01:05:46):
I think I like the idea of going and picking
out a gift for her with the kids. I don't
think you're advocated to get her something from you, but
I do think it would be special to have them
pick something out for her.
Speaker 2 (01:05:57):
Yeah, all right, very go Kylon Payton. Fantastic advice. Grateful
that you guys are here. So from what I'm gathering
for the last forty five minutes of the show is
for Christmas. I should get Blake Corona apartments, and I don't.
Speaker 10 (01:06:14):
Think she would like to be TV alone for you
last night.
Speaker 6 (01:06:18):
I want to watch my shows on my new TV,
watching the UNA basketball game in there?
Speaker 7 (01:06:22):
What gives this is?
Speaker 1 (01:06:24):
You got the whole house? Is my TVs one thing?
Speaker 2 (01:06:27):
Nuts? Man? I can't wait for the holidays are over,
everyone go back to school. So I'm reading the I
just saw this post. It says Purvious is now Apple
TV's most watched show ever.
Speaker 6 (01:06:41):
Is what it says? There's It says the series.
Speaker 2 (01:06:44):
Rapid Rise has pushed past seventh season two to become
Apple di v's most watch show to date, with viewership
continue to climb through its first seven episodes. So then
I read the comments comments super boring show, don't get
the hype, the it's boring crowd, never seen Breaking Bad
and better call Sault and it shows. And then someone
says I couldn't get past the third episode, and then
(01:07:06):
the next person first episode was fire, and then I
got lost and bored.
Speaker 1 (01:07:11):
Like, how is it You're gonna have to just watch it?
Speaker 6 (01:07:16):
I guess, I mean, I don't I don't. I'm watching it.
Speaker 9 (01:07:18):
I watched one episode and now is it enough?
Speaker 2 (01:07:20):
See? Okay.
Speaker 6 (01:07:21):
I think it's kind of like with Ripple.
Speaker 2 (01:07:23):
I feel like shows like Ripple and maybe Severance, maybe
not Severance, but like you have to have nothing going on,
like you're watching You're going one hundred miles an hour
in the morning watching it, right, putt your makeup on,
getting ready, prepping for the show, doing stuff.
Speaker 9 (01:07:37):
Yeah, but I like I can focus on shows.
Speaker 2 (01:07:40):
Well, that's not what I'm saying. I'm not saying you
can't focus on shows. I'm saying you have to be
completely bored with nothing to do how you watch, which
is what you have to do to watch Ripple. And
then I finished Ripple and I'm like, Okay, it was
a good show. I want more. And so now there's
a season two coming.
Speaker 1 (01:07:58):
Do you think they're making an argument now, which no,
Kyle's not gonna like either Apple, that we're gonna do
one TV show a week because it builds.
Speaker 2 (01:08:05):
Instead of just all that Apple's been doing that. Yeah,
I mean I think they're one of the I think
Netflix is rare. Yeah time, Yeah, Prime does so once
a week too. When we were trying to watch freakin' Uh,
what's that show? We like the guy, the big tough
guy that beats everybody.
Speaker 7 (01:08:19):
Yep, it beats everybody.
Speaker 6 (01:08:22):
Reacher was like one.
Speaker 7 (01:08:23):
Episode of Time and then I forget about it.
Speaker 9 (01:08:25):
Actually, there's a binge an entire show over on Netflix.
Speaker 2 (01:08:28):
I got a text with my son last night camp
from Hawaii and he's three hours behind now. Woke up
this morning too, and he said that Fallout season two
just dropped one episode. Wait, so that's another thing. So
they dropped once a week too, So I'm back in Yeah, yeah,
so us you guys watched. It was really really good.
It was really good. I have a special trivia game
(01:08:48):
I like to play because it's Wednesday.
Speaker 12 (01:08:49):
It's Wednesday, and game.
Speaker 6 (01:08:52):
For not a dog shot collar game, just a fun.
Speaker 7 (01:08:57):
Gay Okay, we like fun games.
Speaker 6 (01:08:59):
This is history.
Speaker 2 (01:09:01):

Oh so he has an American isn't it like Tom

Speaker 2 (01:11:10):
And and the other part is if I was to
actually give you this number, I don't know what it
is is x I V Son Remember that is what's
x IV?
Speaker 6 (01:11:17):
Nobody knows x IV team.
Speaker 10 (01:11:20):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (01:11:20):
I don't know, Kyle.
Speaker 2 (01:11:23):
A moment at this band's kiss cam moment turned to
scandalous when two attendees were identified as married executives.
Speaker 7 (01:11:29):
What band cold Play?
Speaker 2 (01:11:31):

Speaker 2 (01:12:04):
A big one for me, Peyton, This this is specifically

found not guilty on racketeering and sex trafficking charges, but
was found guilty on two counts of transportation for prostitution
under the Man Act, meaning prosecutors proved he transported people
(01:12:27):
across state lines for prostitution purposes.
Speaker 10 (01:12:31):
Not related to me, but that is diddy pay.
Speaker 6 (01:12:34):
Didty keep going this full name?
Speaker 7 (01:12:38):

Speaker 10 (01:12:38):

Speaker 2 (01:12:40):
Yes, thank the Lord. All right, we got Louis Tomlinson
tickets on the line about twenty minutes fromw We're gonna
get some entertainment news compaign and break it all down.
Speaker 6 (01:12:50):
That's we'll get into what's trending next with John Jay Rich.
Speaker 1 (01:12:55):
Check in with John Jay Ridge.
Speaker 2 (01:13:00):
Right now.
Speaker 6 (01:13:00):
Painton cole getting said, what's trending in the entertainment world?
But he got Justin.
Speaker 9 (01:13:03):
Bieber has the Internet a little bit divided, so he
randomly busted out Eminem's verse from Forgot about dre on
like a Twitch live stream, and some fans are like
loving it, and others are saying, maybe not so much
that I'm a.
Speaker 10 (01:13:16):
Saying he's been with the windows up and it tackles
up in the.
Speaker 4 (01:13:18):
Eggs, mad ladies, Sorry not but a bit crazy way
that you can't say.
Speaker 29 (01:13:26):
Nowadays, everybody want to chide that they've got something to say,
but that that comes up with them.
Speaker 9 (01:13:32):
I have a problem with I thought like he did
pretty good. Some people literally said that it was like
painfully awkward to listen to. But I was like, I
think Bieber can totally flow like he did.
Speaker 8 (01:13:41):
I thought he did a great He has a couple
of songs to where he raps and he has some bars.
I think everyone needs to give him some justice. I
thought he sounded good. That's a hard stream.
Speaker 6 (01:13:49):
It's really hard to wrap that song. I do it
all the time, all right.
Speaker 8 (01:13:53):
Selena Selena Gummaz. She took light of this situation. A
fan took to her Instagram, commented on one of her
posts and said, how.
Speaker 10 (01:14:01):
Do you shave your mustache? This is her response.
Speaker 18 (01:14:08):
Someone someone made me laugh because they asked me. They're like,
how do you like shave your must And I was like,
I totally get it. I actually have milasma, you guys,
and a pile. It's from the sun, so you'll have
(01:14:29):
to obviously wear sunscreen and be careful.
Speaker 7 (01:14:32):
And I have another piple but it's.
Speaker 32 (01:14:36):
It's actually not it's my molas. I take care of
and treat it. But yeah, no, it's there. That's that's me.
Speaker 9 (01:14:47):
I love her sense of humor about that melasma.
Speaker 2 (01:14:54):
But then I heard that to.
Speaker 10 (01:15:00):
No, no.
Speaker 1 (01:15:02):
On your face.
Speaker 10 (01:15:03):
Okay.
Speaker 8 (01:15:03):
In Oscar News, you guys, Ryan Coogler, Sinners is officially
the movie to beat this award season because the Academy
they just released it short list, which is kind of
like the semi finals for the Oscars, and Sinners landed
in eight categories, so it looks like they're probably gonna
catch a win somewhere.
Speaker 6 (01:15:19):
That's gonna happen.
Speaker 10 (01:15:20):
Yeah, you said not gonna happen. Why will?
Speaker 16 (01:15:24):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (01:15:24):
The movie that I think is gonna sweep is the
movie I have not seen, but I have heard incredible
things about it, and it is the Leonardo DiCaprio movie.
Speaker 10 (01:15:32):
Yeah, I mean, because that's I heard.
Speaker 6 (01:15:34):
It's phenomenal.
Speaker 8 (01:15:36):
Yeah, I've heard that too. I hope they win, though,
because Sinners is a phenomenal movie. If you haven't had
a chance to watch it, seriously check.
Speaker 6 (01:15:41):
Out Vampire Movies.
Speaker 2 (01:15:42):
Don't win Oscar, but it's Michael Jordan's.
Speaker 1 (01:15:47):
Two different movies.
Speaker 10 (01:15:49):
It's fabulous.
Speaker 9 (01:15:50):
So they also released the shortlist for like Best Original Song,
and then they have They've Got Edge Sheer and Miley Cyrus,
Sarah Broles. Those are among the fifteen artists where the
songs have made that short list.
Speaker 7 (01:16:01):
Also, the Oscar for Best Original.
Speaker 9 (01:16:03):
Song is awarded to the songwriters rather than the performers.
For instance, like some people like Where's Wicked, those were
probably in the shortlist for that. And then also Golden
from K Pop Demon Hunters was down there, which I
feel like that has to win.
Speaker 7 (01:16:16):
That has to win.
Speaker 2 (01:16:16):
I mean, if it doesn't win.
Speaker 6 (01:16:18):
Here here's why it's going to win.
Speaker 2 (01:16:20):
Because it's targeting a younger audience and nobody cares about
the Oscars anymore, so they need K Pop Demon Hunters
to win this award. So everybody that's twelve plus goes,
oh my god, we gotta watch the Oscars. We know
we gotta watch it next year too. That's why it'll win. Marketing.
Speaker 6 (01:16:35):
It's also a great.
Speaker 7 (01:16:36):
It's also a really great.
Speaker 2 (01:16:37):
It's a song of twenty twenty five in my opinion.
Speaker 9 (01:16:39):
So we will find out because the final nominees for
the Oscars will be announced to January twenty second, and
then of course will be aired live on TV. Conan
O'Brien is returning as the host, which I always think
he's a really great host. So I'm excited about that
because you know, we gotta watch it. Nobody cares how
others anymore, but we won't be watching that. Also, if
you're planning on and watching NFL's Christmas Game Day halftime
(01:17:00):
show on Netflix, you'll be happy to know it has
now been retitled into Snoops Holiday Halftime Party.
Speaker 5 (01:17:08):
We are about to.
Speaker 2 (01:17:09):
Light up this Christmas in a real way.
Speaker 6 (01:17:12):
I'm on me, How's death or halftime snack?
Speaker 7 (01:17:20):
I love Snoop.
Speaker 9 (01:17:20):
I feel like if anyone's gonna bring people together this Christmas,
it'll be Snoop Dogg.
Speaker 16 (01:17:25):
You know.
Speaker 6 (01:17:25):
Speaking of Conon and Brian really quick.
Speaker 2 (01:17:27):
The thing that gets me is that Condon and Brian
had at Christmas party and Rob Reiner's son was there,
and the guy to fight at the Christmas party and
that's when he was killed. And it just makes me
think how interesting when you think about Hollywood, Like ConA
and Brian had a had a huge party and all
these famous people were there, and the only way we
know about it is because there was a murder. I know,
Like I wonder how it didn't get out, Like like
(01:17:48):
that's the thing. You can have a party with every
celebrity in the world there, but if they don't want
you to know, you know what I mean, that's what
we fall.
Speaker 6 (01:17:54):
That's how we fall for things.
Speaker 2 (01:17:55):
Your machine at work, right, because when he just had
a party his house and everybody was there, we didn't
know about it, except he didn't count on there being
a murder.
Speaker 6 (01:18:04):
So there's that true.
Speaker 2 (01:18:07):
There's a Texas is Does no one know about Tator Swiss?
Speaker 6 (01:18:09):
Where's where's Waldo book? Do you know what that is?
Speaker 7 (01:18:13):
I do not know what that is?
Speaker 6 (01:18:15):
Does no one know about Tator Swift? Where's Waldo book? Who?
You don't know? You look confused?
Speaker 2 (01:18:19):
What I want? It? Probably an unofficial I don't.
Speaker 6 (01:18:27):
Know, man, you would think that would be national news
this year.
Speaker 10 (01:18:29):
You know, it's like I'm on the pr email list.
Speaker 23 (01:18:35):
It is.
Speaker 7 (01:18:37):
I love Baylor Swift. The unofficial.
Speaker 6 (01:18:41):
Well, they were just saying that you know about it.
Speaker 2 (01:18:43):
They weren't saying it's officially John J. Rich just wondering, Oh,
by all, we need a contestant, just wondering, does Kyle's
husband really want to hang.
Speaker 6 (01:18:51):
That TV for you, John Jay?
Speaker 2 (01:18:53):
Or is he being volunteered like that girl from the
other day, Linda from San Diego is asking that.
Speaker 9 (01:18:59):
That's kind of Linda, because I do volunteer my husband
for a lot. But he actually did want to hang
the TV. And when he heard John Jay used somebody else,
he actually got offended.
Speaker 7 (01:19:08):
Oh really, I'm a little offended.
Speaker 9 (01:19:10):
Oh he's pretty skilled at that kind of stuff. I
don't know if you know this. He's he's wired entire
radio stations.
Speaker 2 (01:19:17):
If I would have said to your husband, I would
love for you to come put the TV up, then
I would have to be home. I'd have to wait
for him. We'd have the same thing. He'd have to
help my park. I'd probably have the old stuff. I
had to be like, well, here it is, I don't
know how big is. Do you need any help? Yeah,
I don't have any tools. Do you have whatever? Okay?
Speaker 6 (01:19:31):
Well, and then i'd have to wait there while he
does it.
Speaker 2 (01:19:33):
Whereas when I paid a company to do it, I left,
I came home, the TV was on, said wall.
Speaker 7 (01:19:39):
I didn't say really offended, just.
Speaker 6 (01:19:41):
Okay, good, okay, good, all right. We got Ashley on
the line.
Speaker 1 (01:19:44):
Good morning, Ashley, Good morning.
Speaker 2 (01:19:48):
You are playing Netflix number one for Louis Tomlinson tickets,
right you ready?
Speaker 23 (01:19:53):
Yes, ready, Netflix number one, Scama.
Speaker 3 (01:20:06):
Right.
Speaker 9 (01:20:07):
This is not just about Netflix, but all the things
that are number one, And since it is the holidays,
just expect a lot of those kinds of questions. John Jay,
we begin with you. What is the number one show
on Netflix right now? Ww E Raw or Seawan Combe's
The Reckoning.
Speaker 2 (01:20:24):
Okay, that's a great question, because all day yesterday it
was WWE Raw, and I think that goes down after
the first day, so I'm gonna go back to Sean
Diddycomb's The Reckoning.
Speaker 9 (01:20:35):
You are correct, Rich, the number one movie on Netflix
right now is Wake Up, Dead Man Knives Out Mystery.
Speaker 7 (01:20:45):
But speaking of mysteries.
Speaker 9 (01:20:46):
What is the number one most popular Christmas gift that
people regift every year?
Speaker 1 (01:20:53):
Oh, that's a good question. It must be some kind
of I want to say, like a scented candle. I'm
gonna say that I'm gonna go scented candle.
Speaker 7 (01:21:00):
You are correct. Wow, thinking about giving candles, don't.
Speaker 10 (01:21:03):
That's like my favorite Christmas gift.
Speaker 8 (01:21:05):
My mom showays as the Bath and body Works candlesail
before and we.
Speaker 9 (01:21:08):
Get bags the best number one regifted gift.
Speaker 7 (01:21:11):
Peyton over to you.
Speaker 9 (01:21:13):
What month of the year sees the number one highest
streaming usage across all platforms?
Speaker 7 (01:21:19):
Which app never No, what months.
Speaker 9 (01:21:23):
Of the year sees the highest streaming across all platforms?
Speaker 8 (01:21:26):
Oh, that's tough because I feel like this summer because
kids are out of school and they're you know, watching
the TV. But then again, Christmas holiday times you're having.
I'm gonna go December.
Speaker 7 (01:21:36):
December is correct. Everybody is on the board so far. Actually,
it is your time to shine.
Speaker 9 (01:21:44):
Christmas music explodes every year, but one artist owns December. Actually,
who becomes the number one most streamed artist in the
world every Christmas season without fail?
Speaker 20 (01:21:55):
You know, I'm gonna go with Mariah Carey.
Speaker 7 (01:21:58):
Yay, you are correct.
Speaker 9 (01:22:00):
Okay, everybody on the board after round one, which means
round two, the stakes are higher.
Speaker 7 (01:22:05):
Every question is worth fifty points day it don't mess
it up.
Speaker 9 (01:22:09):
John Jay Online Shopping obviously goes nuclear this time of year.
What is the number one most ordered Christmas item on
Amazon every holiday season?
Speaker 7 (01:22:24):
Are you asking me though, I said, John, I need
an answer.
Speaker 6 (01:22:29):
An ornament three?
Speaker 7 (01:22:30):
No, incorrect. It's gift cards.
Speaker 1 (01:22:33):
Oh, gift cards.
Speaker 7 (01:22:35):
Everybody gift cards.
Speaker 1 (01:22:36):
It's not fun.
Speaker 9 (01:22:37):
No fifty points for you, John, Jay. That may seriously
hurt your chances of winning.
Speaker 1 (01:22:41):
Just like the powerball of points for Netflix number one.
Speaker 24 (01:22:44):
Right.
Speaker 9 (01:22:44):
Rich families argue about this every single year. What is
the number one most popular Christmas dinner main dish here
in the United States?
Speaker 1 (01:22:54):
Ooh, I feel like it's ham ham hamn. That's gonna
be my guest.
Speaker 7 (01:22:59):
That's what I call my husban and ham And that
is correct.
Speaker 9 (01:23:02):
Rich on the board with fifty one points taking it away,
they and the pressure is hamm.
Speaker 31 (01:23:11):
The world is a lie. Everything we ever, guys. I
was watching a TikTok. This girl said they was at
the fair. They got turkey legs. The turkey legs tasted
like ham. So they went back to the dude. It
was like, hey, why does this turkey leg taste like ham?
He was like, it is ham. We just call him
turkey legs. What do you want us to say pig
leg mind blown.
Speaker 9 (01:23:34):
I love that Cliff in winter travel stress hits hard.
Which airport holds the title as the number one busiest
airport in the United States during the Christmas holiday period?
Speaker 10 (01:23:45):
That's tough. I'm gonna go JFK New York City, baby incorrect?
Speaker 7 (01:23:50):
What anybody for the steal?
Speaker 23 (01:23:53):
No?
Speaker 1 (01:23:54):
No, incorrect?
Speaker 7 (01:23:56):
It is Atlanta.
Speaker 9 (01:23:57):
I don't at the point because there was like sixty
other guests, but yeah, Atlanta.
Speaker 10 (01:24:01):
Who's gone with.
Speaker 9 (01:24:02):
Atlanta busiest airport in the United States during the Christmas
holiday period.
Speaker 2 (01:24:05):
You know that Atlanta is also number one for the
best city to celebrate Christmas in.
Speaker 7 (01:24:10):
Oh maybe that's why everyone's trying to get to it.
Speaker 9 (01:24:13):
I love that we should get to that, but first
we need to get to Ashley. It is your chance
to beat rich just because it would be a tie game.
I'm gonna make this worth fifty two points, so the
pressure is on Ashley. It's a holiday shopping question here
for you. What is the number one most returned Christmas
gift every year?
Speaker 20 (01:24:34):
So that's tough.
Speaker 1 (01:24:43):
I don't know.
Speaker 20 (01:24:43):
I'm gonna go with a tie.
Speaker 9 (01:24:45):
You know what, I'm actually gonna count that because it
is a type of clothing, and clothing is the answer,
which means you actually are going to see Louis Tomlinsay.
Speaker 1 (01:25:01):
Congratulations.
Speaker 2 (01:25:05):
Job So, speaking of the get back to that list.
It was the best cities for Christmas. Atlanta was number one,
San Francisco number two, Seattle number three, Orlando number four,
Vegas number five. This is the part that confuses me.
Phoenix is twenty one, Scottsdale is twenty nine. Why wouldn't
they just be the same. They're right there, They're right there.
(01:25:26):
You came. There's Bertie a space between them on the map.
It's like, why don't just make that one? I know,
like Los Angeles and San Diego that's sixteen and seventeen,
but those are far apart, those are two hours apart.
You're driving in Scottsdale. You don't go run.
Speaker 6 (01:25:42):
We're in Phoenix.
Speaker 12 (01:25:42):
Now.
Speaker 2 (01:25:43):
It just happens.
Speaker 1 (01:25:44):
Yeah, yeah, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:25:45):
Shame on this map.
Speaker 6 (01:25:47):
No New York is on there, but New York's fourteen.
Speaker 9 (01:25:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:25:49):
Do you think Rockefeller Christmas?
Speaker 1 (01:25:50):
Sure?
Speaker 7 (01:25:51):
The vibe?
Speaker 2 (01:25:52):
Cincinnati's number ten, Denver eighteen, Dallas twenty eight, Houston twenty seven.
Like there, Houston twenty seven. Dallas twenty eight an hour flight.
That's distance. That's distance there. But to go Phoenix, Scuta,
that's the same thing, same thing. I don't know who
made that map irritates me. Colos coming up with three things.
Speaker 9 (01:26:10):
So experts say instead of swapping a wish list this
time of year, they say, there's something else you should
be doing.
Speaker 7 (01:26:17):
I'll tell you what that is. Next with John Jay
and Rich. It's John Jay and Rich, Daryl, good.
Speaker 6 (01:26:27):
Morning, you're on the air.
Speaker 20 (01:26:27):
Hi, Good morning, Hi. How's it going. Okay, So I
have something to pitch to you, John.
Speaker 4 (01:26:36):
Jay and Rich.
Speaker 12 (01:26:38):
Okay, you're ready, Okay.
Speaker 20 (01:26:40):
So I am a religious listener. I have literally listened
to every single episode on iHeart at Pandora, you name it.
I've listened to everything. I've followed you guys forever. I
love you guys. But one thing that I would love
to see, and I think I speak for the people
who love you guys as well, is.
Speaker 3 (01:27:00):
A couple's therapy with you John Jay and Rich, because
I feel like there needs to be more of a
background of understanding. It's like, we know you guys, but
just to hear about how you guys came to be
and your relationship with each other and your friendship and
everything else. I really think I think your audience would.
Speaker 2 (01:27:21):
Love to have.
Speaker 1 (01:27:23):
It's just show that John j. Ridge Couple's podcast pretty much.
Speaker 20 (01:27:29):
Background story with you guys and you know, you guys
working because it's like like it or not, John Jay,
you guys are kind of a couple.
Speaker 4 (01:27:37):
I think is your work wife.
Speaker 1 (01:27:41):
With John Jay longer than my children or my wife,
So I guess that's true.
Speaker 20 (01:27:44):
Yeah, oh yeah, people would love it, they really would.
Speaker 6 (01:27:47):
Maybe we could kick off twenty twenty six.
Speaker 2 (01:27:49):
Or something like that.
Speaker 20 (01:27:51):
I think it'd be really cool just to have, or
even just in general for the whole show, just kind
of however and came together and you know how because
I want that all the time listening to you guys,
like how did Kyle come on to the show? Whatever else?
And you know, obviously loved Peyton so much and love
knowing how she came to be onto the show. It's
(01:28:11):
like that was more of a recent thing, and it's
just cool to be able to go into the roots
of things as well, to kind of see how things
came to be.
Speaker 1 (01:28:19):
You know, you might be onto something. I have a
friend who's a wanna be screenwriter and they are writing
a a John Jay and Rich screenplay kind of loosely
based on USA. But I've given him a bunch of
our stories, a bunch of our stories. I was telling
John Jay about a few this morning that are pretty harrowing,
and he's like, oh, yeah, I remember that. Remember when
that guy guy was trying to kill us from prison?
Speaker 6 (01:28:41):
Remember that? Yeah.
Speaker 20 (01:28:42):
See, that's what I'm saying, and that's what we want
to hear. We want to hear that. It's like you
guys kind of glaze over it, which is you know,
that's fair on the air and everything, but it's like
we want to know that. People want to know.
Speaker 1 (01:28:55):
Peyton doesn't even know some of these. Like we had
a boss that John Jay was mad at for like
two years. John Jay get a new phone number. Our
boss didn't have John Jay's phone number for almost three years.
He would text me and he'd be like, if you
talk to John Jay and you guys would be in
the meeting tomorrow with ten fifteen.
Speaker 20 (01:29:11):
You're in a relationship that's literally like you guys are
the ultimate couple, and it's like your people want to
hear about it.
Speaker 6 (01:29:17):
I'm actually curioused about that. I'm embarrassed. No, you're not.
Speaker 2 (01:29:20):
I can't believe you're a different you grow and you mature.
I wouldn't do that, for sure, I would do that anymore.
But anyway, all right, think about that, you know, hold on,
let's get your number so you could repitch it. And
then when we do it in twenty twenty six, we
can have everyone ask a bunch of questions that we
can answer that altogether.
Speaker 20 (01:29:36):
Okay, so that would be great.
Speaker 6 (01:29:37):
Okay, hold on, Dara Kyle, what are three things we
need to know?
Speaker 3 (01:29:40):
So?
Speaker 9 (01:29:40):
Rob Reiner's son, Nick Reiner, has been formally charged with
two counts of first degree murder in the stabbing of
his parents, Rob Reiner and Michelle Reiner. He could face
life in prison, even the death penalty. That decision hasn't
been made Jess yet, but he is being held without
bail as the case moves forward in court. Still so incredible, tragic,
especially around this time.
Speaker 7 (01:30:01):
Of the year. Now, instead of swapping endless.
Speaker 9 (01:30:03):
Wish lists full of stuff, psychologists say, we're doing it wrong.
Speaker 7 (01:30:07):
Shouldn't even do that, shouldn't do that?
Speaker 9 (01:30:09):
You should be sharing your bucket lists the experiences that
actually matter to us. So research shows memories and experiences
tend to make people happier longer than material gifts because
they stick with us and they kind of shape who
we are. So think trips, adventures, meaningful moments instead of
another gadget. If you share that, it's just a small
(01:30:29):
mindset shift, but it can turn holiday giving into something
way more memorable and in the long run, a lot
more special. So they minted the last pennies. They're not
producing any more pennies in the United States, and when
they did that, they made two hundred and thirty two
special three coin sets. Each one included a twenty twenty
(01:30:50):
five penny from the Philadelphia men a mint, a penny
from the Denver Mint, and a twenty four gold penny, and.
Speaker 7 (01:30:57):
Those all went up for auction.
Speaker 9 (01:30:59):
Each set sold for tens of thousands of dollars, but
the final set, symbolizing the very last cents ever made
here fetched and astonishing eight hundred thousand dollars three pennies
for a pew paid eight hundred thousand node for three pennies,
And when they totaled how much these coinsets cost, or
they how much they made at the auction, was sixteen
(01:31:21):
point seven.
Speaker 2 (01:31:22):
Six million dollars it's a pretty penny for pennies. And
that is three things you need to dost pennies on
the dollar.
Speaker 24 (01:31:30):
Sure,
