Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ky would have got for three things.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
So tomorrow is not only rich In Stacy's wedding anniversary,
but it's National Pancake Day and to celebrate, I Hoop
is giving away at signature pancakes for free. All you
have to do is swing by an I hop between
seven am and eight pm and get a free short
stack of original buttermilk pancakes.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Well, I know what we're doing any day, say not Italian,
We're gonna get pancakes.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
You schedule your wedding on a special day, just you
could always get pancakes together. They did a study and
they actually found this was kind of surprising to me,
that men become strongly infatuated with their partners a month
earlier in a relationship than women do, and are likely
to make the first move to say I love you.
They also fall in love on average more often than women.

(00:44):
You would think maybe that would be the opposite, but
they found women are more committed and have more intense
romantic feelings once those feelings have been cemented. It just
happens to dudes quicker.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
In the study.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
They also did a study and found something that I
feel like is the obvious, Like I'm surprised they spent
money on this study. But they found when like young
adults and people in general, fail to control their TikTok use,
especially when it gets in the way of like responsibilities,
they're significantly more likely to postpone going to bed and

(01:16):
end up losing sleep. I'm like, duh, you just get
like a wormhole, right, and all of a sudden, it's
like ten o'clock and you're like, all right, I gotta.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Go to bed.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
But they literally paid for a study on that, and
so the scientific findings do not lie excessive TikTok use
makes you lose sleep, just so we all know.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
And that's three things you need to It was.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
Like excessive use of your phone in any way, Right,
what's the deal?

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Your husband's idea?

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Okay, so it comes to me. He just spent like
a week in Nashville at this conference. He does a
lot of like voiceover work for country radio, and so
it's like a huge deal. And while he's there, he
met a lot of different people in all different fields
that have to do with country music, and he came
back with this idea and he's like, you know what,

(02:03):
I think we should start a podcast together.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
I was like you and me.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
What, like what are we going to talk about?

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Like who's going to pick up the kids from soccer? Like,
like I was just like, He's like, no, I think
that could be really interesting. And so now we've we've
started to like do this bit where we'll start a
conversation and then we'll just say save it for the podcast.
That's never gonna happen. And so I'm like, I was
very because this kind of comes out of left field

(02:32):
for him because he already has like eighteen jobs, so
like for him to want to start another thing to
me is like ludicrous, Like you don't have time for anything,
let alone starting to.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Doing You guys are funny to hear.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
It was like, but we talk about like boring things,
right like what do you want me to get from
the grocery store this week? This is the extent of
like the conversations we have. And so I kind of
poopooed it and then I felt bad afterwards because like
I thought, well, maybe if we if we did, because
actually it's funny Grant just walked in here. I thought
about Grant Caitlin, like they have a podcast, and he

(03:09):
has said before about how it like it helps their relationship.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Really it has doing a podcast with my wife before
she was my wife and now after she's my wife.
It has strengthened our relationship and how we communicate. But
we also let it fly on the podcast. There have
been podcasts where we just fight for forty five minutes
and then we're like, we're not releasing those and then
we just decide later on now let's.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Put it out.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
But do you once you're done taping the podcast, are
you guys still fighting or oh no, there guys still okay?

Speaker 1 (03:40):
That was the show. Let's reset.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
No, I mean it continues on for your days and
weeks and you.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Don't blake it.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
Pitched that the In fact, I bought all the equipment
for it and months ago and it's still sitting in
the living room because wil She was like, people had
asked about, you know, doing it, talk about relationship, the
highs and lows whatever, and to do something like that,
you gotta be honestly, Yeah, got open. I'm like, and
then it's like, I wish someone could call and give
us the rules first that you should implement.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Do you know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (04:07):
Like, you know how they say, don't you don't want
to go into business with family. You don't want to
let so, like somebody experience that before.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
It gave you the rules, right, what are the boundaries?

Speaker 4 (04:16):
Okay, so if you have to do a podcast with
your husband and your wife or your boyfriend, your girlfriend,
what are the rules so that if you get into
a fight, you gotta be able to once you hit stop,
you gotta be able to go Okay, that was there,
that's over, so that you don't continue to fight. You're
in the kitchen.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
I'm glad you're you're talking about having an expert, you know,
to discuss this with you. I am that consultant for you.
But no, dude, when you the joy, I think hearing
someone else get into like a petty fight is very satisfying.
But yeah, I think you just need to uh you
you need.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
To let it go.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
But that's impossible, like you remember stop recording.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
You're in the kitchen or you're in bed and you
can brush your teeth and she's like, you know, I
can't believe you said that.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
What we hit we hit stop. And it's the most
It's the funny this thing because I know it's a
it's a good bad podcast in the sense that Kate
takes off her headphones and just throws him on the
counter and just sits there and just looks at me
and gets her phone out, And I'm like, oh, it
was a bad one this week. But no, I think
that's what makes it good is when you don't separate.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
No, I think you gotta have rules. No rules, gotta
have rules. I gotta be a safe word. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Actually, we did an episode a Terrible Person this week
where it was all low energy and like neither one
of us wanted to record, and for the first twenty
five minutes we just kept saying we're gonna find it,
We're gonna find it. And then we at thirty minutes
into the podcast, right before we switched over, we landed
it and I was like, oh, we're cooking with Gas.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Now it's just about persistence.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
You and your husband Cock can callt We're cooking with Gas.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
I mean, that's actually a good name for a podcast.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
The intro of your podcast would be so kicking. It's
just a forty five minute intro. That's the whole Every
week we have the kids, you will that's the end
of our parts.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
