Speaker 1 (00:00):
Coming up with three things we need to though.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Okay, this is actually pretty terrifying. The FBI just stopped
a planned New Year's Eve bombing in the LA area.
They arrested four suspects, who they say we're actually rehearsing
with homemade explosives and had planned to hit multiple locations
using backpack pipe bombs. Federal charges are now filed, and
official say arrests likely prevented a major tragedy. It's definitely

(00:25):
kind of scary going into New Year's though, like you know,
the ones, the other ones that could possibly be being planned
right now. So the word slop is trending because Miriam
Webster just crowned slop the word of the year, and
it perfectly. It sums up the Internet in this year
of twenty twenty five.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
It refers to.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Low quality, mass produced AI content think fake news, weird ads,
junkie books, and endless talking cats, which I don't I
don't mind the other stuff, the.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Other stuff, the other stuff. They're just saying, all that
is just slop.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
It's gross, It's everywhere, and somehow people can't stop consuming it.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
But that's why they've named it the word of the year.
Can they stop consuming, or it's just there and you
can't avoid it.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Maybe that's it because I don't ever watch that stuff,
but it's just there all the time.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
And then you were halfway through it and you're going, oh,
this is fake.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
I know.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
I hate that.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
That's how I think they get their views. Yeah. No,
you're absolutely right. It's slop, John Jay, It's just slop day,
just slop.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
So let's do a little powerball history check. The biggest
jackpot ever was about two billion dollars. That was back
in twenty twenty two. And we are well on our
way because nobody won the power ball last night. We're
at forty two drawing deep, forty two drawings deep with
no winner since September, and so now the jack puts
up to one point two five billion.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Dollars, right where I wanted. Now we can buy the tickets.
Did you hear this? Check your ticket. There's a million
dollar winner from Arizona, just not the powerball, so you
might want to you lucky.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
There were a few million dollar winners, a few two
million dollar winners, so definitely don't.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Throw it away. And you're like, oh, that's not a
billion it.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Wasn't I mean, yeah, you did kind of like, okay,
but yeah, I don't think you would shut down check out.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
And that's three things you need to know. So I
was going over a couple of ends of the Year
lists with you and I saw this one.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
The Hollywood Reporter put together a list of their favorite
TV performances of twenty twenty five, and I was shocked
to find out what number one is. I don't think
number one would have made it on my top ten.
But here are some of the top TV performances.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Amy lou Wood, She's the girl with the gap in
her team in White Lotus.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Tremelle Tillman, He's a black dude in Severance, the one
that dances.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Oh yeah, he is good. Sarah Sherman on Satday Night Live.
She's the best part of Surday Night Live. She's Carry's great.
Jessica Mattin.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
She is on the TV show called Dark Winds and
they dropped a new season. I think there's three seasons
now and she's fantastic.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Have you watched the third season? I'm halfway through it.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Wh is she She is a Native American cop that
would be board patrol agent.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. She Also they did a move she
was in a movie they came out about basketball. She
was a coach not that long ago.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
That show's on Prime right, No, it's.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Not on Netflix now, Oh it is? Yeah yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Number two of the best TV performances is Robbie Hoffman Hacks.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
He's a girl in Hacks. I got into season one
of Haacks. I have a Canadian. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
And the number one best TV performance of twenty twenty
five is Meelan Ackerman.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
In Meelan Ackerman? What show Hunting Wives? Oh? All right,
she was the main wife, the one ready, the main one? Yeah, Yeah,
she did good.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
That's the only actor or show that I recognized or
watched in that entire list.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Really, Yeah, you'er old disappointment. Yeah, I'm like Kindo's the
Hollywood reporter. They're not like that. Yeah, they're a little fufu.
I just have never seen White Lotus. Go watch.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
I remember that girl was like upset at an SNL
skit though, the girl that was on John J's list
with the gap. She was upset that they did a
skit about her.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Oh yeah, she's really mad about that. It's a big
thing with her gap. Yeah,
