Speaker 1 (00:00):
Dear, Good morning.
Speaker 2 (00:00):
You're on there.
Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hi, Good morning, Hi. How's it going? Okay? So I
have something to pitch to you, John Jay and Rich.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
Okay you're ready? Okay.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
So I am a religious listener. I have literally listened
to every single episode on iHeart Pandora, you name it.
I've listened to everything. I followed you guys forever. I
love you guys. But one thing that I would love
to see, and I think I speak for the people
who love you guys as well, is a couple's therapy
(00:35):
with you John Jay and Rich because I feel like
there needs to be more of a background of understanding.
It's like, we know you guys, but just to hear
about how you guys came to be and your relationship
with each other and your friendship and everything else. I
really think I think your audience would.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
Love to have Rich couples podcast.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Background story with you guys, and you know you guys
working because it's like like it or not, Don Jay,
you guys are kind of a couple than you. I
think is your work wife.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
With John Jay longer than my children or my wife.
So I guess that's true.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Yeah, oh yeah, people would love it.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
They really would maybe we could kick off twenty twenty
six or something like that.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
I think it'd be really cool just to have it,
or even just in general for the whole show just
kind of however and came together, and you know how,
because I wonder that all the time listening to you guys,
like how did Kyle come on to the show and
whatever else? And you know, obviously love Peyton so much
and love knowing how she came to be onto the show.
It's like that was more of a recent thing, and
(01:46):
it's just cool to be able to go into the
roots of things as well, to kind of see how
things came to be.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
You might be on this something. I have a friend
who's a wannabe screenwriter and they are writing a John
je and Rich screenplay kind of loosely based on usame.
But I've given him a bunch of our stories, a
bunch of our stories. I was telling John Jay about
a few this morning that are pretty harrowing, and he's like, oh, yeah,
I remember that. Remember when that guy the guy was
(02:13):
trying to kill us from prison? Remember that? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Maybe See That's what I'm saying, and that's what we
want to hear. We want to hear that. It's like
you guys kind of glaze over it, which is you know,
that's fair the air and everything, but it's like we
want to know that people want to know.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Peyton doesn't even know some of these. Like we had
a boss that John Jay was mad at for like
two years. John Jay got a new phone number. Our
boss didn't have John Jay's phone number for almost three years,
and he would text me and he'd be like, if
you talk to John Jay and need you guys would
be at the meeting tomorrow with ten fifteen.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
See, you're in a relationship that's literally like you guys
are the ultimate couple, and it's like your people want
to hear about it. I'm actually toured about that. I'm embarrassed.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
No, you're not. I can't believe you're just you grow
and you mature.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
I wouldn't do that, for sure, I would do that.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
But anyway, all right, Dez, think about that, you know what,
hold on, Let's get your number so you could repitch it.
And then when we do it in twenty twenty six,
we can have everyone ask a bunch of questions that
we can answer that altogether.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Okay, So that would be great.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Okay, hold on, Dara Kyle, what are three things we
need to know? So?
Speaker 3 (03:14):
Rob Reiner's son, Nick Reiner, has been formally charged with
two counts of first degree murder in the stabbing of
his parents, Rob Reiner and Michelle Reiner. He could face
life in prison, even the death penalty. That decision hasn't
been made Jess yet, but he is being held without
bail as the case moves forward in court. Still so
incredibly tragic, especially around this time of the year. Now,
(03:35):
instead of swapping endless wish lists full of stuff, psychologists say,
we're doing it wrong. Shouldn't even do that, shouldn't do that?
You should be sharing your bucket lists the experiences that
actually matter to us. So research shows memories and experiences
tend to make people happier longer than material gifts because
they stick with us and they kind of shape who
(03:55):
we are. So think trips, adventures, meaningful moments instead of
another gadget. If you share that, it's just a small
mindset shift, but it can turn holiday giving into something
way more memorable and in the long run, a lot
more special. So they minted the last pennies, They're not
producing any more. Pennies in the United States. And when
(04:16):
they did that, they made two hundred and thirty two
special three coin sets. Each one included a twenty twenty
five penny from the Philadelphia men, a mint, a penny
from the Denver Mint, and a twenty four gold penny,
and those all went up for auction. Each set sold
for tens of thousands of dollars, but the final set,
(04:38):
symbolizing the very last cents ever made here fetched and
astonishing eight hundred thousand dollars three pennies for pere penaid
eight hundred thousand ode for three pennies. And when they
totaled how much these coin sets cost or how much
they made at the auction, was sixteen point seven six
million dollars. It's a pretty penny penn and that is
(05:01):
three things you need to mix.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Pennies on the dollar.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Sure is
