Are you dropping a bomb on Thanksgiving?
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (00:12):
Can you get off speakerphone? You're the sound of your
car is louder than you.
Speaker 4 (00:17):
All.
Speaker 5 (00:17):
Sorry?
Speaker 3 (00:19):
Okay, Scott, are you walking into thanks Thanksgiving drama?
Speaker 6 (00:24):
Last year we went to friends Giving and you know,
the drinks were going, the motions were high, and just
so I don't say any names, we're gonna call this
person nephew. So nephew has had some you know, a
rough child. He's made some bad choices. So he's been
from family member to family member. And so when we
show up, he has a girl there and she's pregnant,
(00:47):
and so as people are drinking and things like that,
they're just like, hey, nephew, he doesn't have a potin.
You know, we'll take care of you and the baby,
but he can just you know, go on as his
merry waite. So as the drinks go, emotions are high.
People are arguing or just yelling at each other, and
it was just a really tense situation. A few days
(01:10):
go by, we're talking about it. Turns out the baby
wasn't his.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
No, So he's just a nice he's just a nice guy.
The nice guy. He's bringing a girl that's pregnant or
did he not know? Did he not know? He thought
it was his baby?
Speaker 6 (01:24):
Yeah, he thought it was his the whole time.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Nephew, nephew, nephew.
Speaker 6 (01:32):
Gosh, he's gonna get it together one day though, hopefully
your fingers crossed. No movement.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
There's always next year.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
I mean, you get together like he Someday he'll get
some random girl pregnant like you missed this time, wasn't yours?
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Next time? All right? Thanks Scott brother Trish, good morning.
Are you walking into Thanksgiving drama or are you dropping
a bomb?
Speaker 5 (01:55):
Well, it was just kind of funny.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
It was neither.
Speaker 5 (01:58):
It was sort of. We were sitting around and my
mother was discussing our five children, my husband and I
and the lack or the need do not have any
more children because she babysat them after school. And she
had the carving knife in her hand, and she said,
(02:20):
you know, it's time. And she looked at my husband
and she said, you either go do this or I'm
going to do it for you. And he did well.
He went one of his second he did.
Speaker 4 (02:37):
Believed her, your mom, those kids don't mess around around
grandma though, I bet you that's true.
Speaker 5 (02:47):
Said around grandma.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
Well, trist thanks for sharing that story with us.
Speaker 5 (02:54):
Hey, have a happy thank you too.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
You by Aubrey, You're back. Good morning, Yeah, good morning?
What's your Thanksgiving bomb?
Speaker 5 (03:04):
About four years ago, we were sitting down at dinner.
My brother did not show up. We're kind of just
acting around, like, hey, what's what's he up to? Midway
through dinner, he decided to send a text saying that
he was moving to Vegas and we're in Arizona and
he was moving tomorrow. And so that was a huge
bomb drop, and so no one really knew how to
(03:27):
process that.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
One.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Is Vegas bad for him to move to? Is he
a gambler?
Speaker 5 (03:33):
He's not a gambler. He was just never really on
his own. So he was barely eighteen and just moving
made away.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
From all family. Was it for a girl or just
to get away from you guys?
Speaker 5 (03:44):
It was with the girl.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
So now it's four years later, how.
Speaker 5 (03:46):
Is he he's living at home with me? Oh?
Speaker 2 (03:49):
Okay, I didn't really yet get that.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
He had you to come back to but I get.
Speaker 5 (03:56):
A babysitter and he has a roof to say it.
Speaker 4 (03:59):
Yeah yeah, family home for Thanksgiving. He wants to be
heard now. Great sister, Thanks Aubrey, thanks for calling in here.
Speaker 6 (04:05):
What comes?
Speaker 2 (04:06):
Bye bye
