a car afterwards, I went in for a kiss, but

I did go on a date kind of recently with
a guy named Maverick.

Yeah. That guy called us and he was like, I
met this girl on bumble she's awesome, but now I
can't get a return my calls. And we were like, well,
we'll just call her for you. So can you give
us the point of view you have of him and
how the date went and why I guess you're not
into him, or maybe there's a lack of communication, maybe
you are in to him.

I yeah, So I do feel bad actually for not
texting him back because he was really nice, but I
just couldn't really get over the ick.

How did you get the ick? What made it happen?

Speaker 10 (05:17):
Yeah, the date, it wasn't terrible. There were just a
few things that sort of threw me off, Like he
talked about himself a lot. He kept on calling the
server buddy, which was just a little cringe for me.
But the real deal breaker moment was at the end
of dinner. I offered him a gum or a mint.

I was just sort of, you know, being polite, and
he turns it down and he says, nah, nah, this
is going to do the trick, and he pulled out
this menthol vape just right there at the table, which
I don't know, I just think is really rude in
a restaurant. And it wasn't like a you know, like
a tiny vape or anything. It was one of those

ones that was really big and you have to like
put the juice in manually. And I don't know, I
was just kind of like, sir, we are still in
the restaurant. Who does that? And I really just could
not look at him the same way after that, and
for me, the vibe just died, and I just knew
that I was not going to go on a second
date with him.

you the ick, and I think that's one hundred percent
legit to you. Once you get the ick, you can't right. Well,

you went on there to tell us this. But Maverick,
the guy you went on a date with, is actually

to wake up and realize that he can do better

I mentioned that or bring it up to him ask

and I've seen him smiling at messages that he doesn't

like to me. So yeah, my gut is really telling
me that there's more going on here than just work

you had previous relationships or maybe you were mentally, you know,
put down, But he's been with you since high school,

out and do stuff, they rely strictly on that we're
raising a generation of men, he says. He specifically said
men that don't go out, that don't just expect everything

there's an awkwardness and you don't know how to interact

going okay? Whatever? Whatever, And then he grabbed the phone

out of my hand and then put his ear and said, hey, mom,

random conversation with my mom and calling her mom.

And I just was like, no, I could see his intent.
It sounds kind of cute. It was kind of cute,
but he's not that in yet another I could see
what he was doing, and.

He already wasn't feeling us, because if she was, she'd

family is really weird when it comes like introducing people
to the family.

just like threw me out. I was like, no, we

FaceTime with his mom and I was just like laying
there and I was like, okay, this is kind of
weird in general, like I don't really like you in

my space anyway. I wasn't vibing with him, and he
turned the phone around and made me talk on the
phone with his mom. His mom knew everything about me,
knew what I was going to school. I was like,
this is oh, that's cute.

And then it actually fell on like a Halloween weekend
and we were all going out and he got super
sick and I was like, well, I'll go get you
like a gator rid and suit.

intimate with him?

No, but it's the same because both of them said
they weren't really into that. It's totally affected the way
that otherwise that kind of awesome.

So we just leave the restaurant and he walks me

to the car, opens the door, and I'm like, okay,
so nice. He's a gentleman. Puts me in the car,
closes the door, and I'm waiting for him to come
around to the driver's side and he doesn't come and
I look back and he was peeing on the tire.

I realized at that moment I was not out of
my league and money does not buy you class.

see when he walks in to the bar that we're
meeting at, he's got that gross COVID beard. You know

And and then the final straw was so we were
we were sitting at the bar, and he could tell
I was, you know, a little uncomfortable, little nervous because
of everything that's going on. But he like completely misread
the cues and was like, oh my gosh, he looks
so stressed. Would you like to have a massage? And
I was like, you know, I just outright told him

we're at a bar, dude, like, that's not this is
not a place where I want a massage. And he's like, well,
you know, why don't why don't we ask the bartender.
I'm sure it's okay. And so he, you know, turned
to the bartender and asked the question. And I gotta
say this, I can give the bartender credit because as

that I was with wasn't at the table, and I'm
looking around this restaurant, smaller Italian restaurant, and I see
him over like hunt at this table talking to these guys.
I can only describe it as like looks like straight
out of a mob boss movie. And they're all looking

at me and talking. And then he comes over and
he sits down and he reaches across and he kind
of aggressively grabbed my hand and he said, don't ever
do that again. And I said, you what he said,
don't ever take a call from another guy when you're
on a date with me. And I was like, oh
my gosh, how the heck did you know? I was
on the phone with another guy? I was in the bathroom.
It's a lady's room anyway. So shortly after we wrap
