Speaker 1 (00:00):
In the eternal battle of morning show supremacy. We are
one of them.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
It's John Jay and Rich coffee machines broken in the
radio station. Two coffee machines. Because you know, I'm new
to the coffee world, so I like to have my
coffee before kind of during the show a little bit.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
And now I can't. I don't know what to do.

Speaker 4 (00:19):
And I feel like it's going to do to our day.

Speaker 5 (00:21):
I was literally about to go get coffee right before
the show, and so you just ruined the rest of
my day. So I feel like we need to just
door dash Starbucks.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Is someone pull up in a coffee truck. I mean,
it's just for like one cup of coffee. I phone
numbers eight seven seven nine three seven one O four
seven Text to show, text jj R, whatever you want
to say to the number nine six, eight nine three.
We dropped our couple's podcast over the weekend. We're gonna
do it every Sunday. This was the first one featured

(00:49):
Rich and Stacey. Anybody listened to it?

Speaker 5 (00:51):
I did.

Speaker 6 (00:52):
I didn't get a chance I.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Listen to I loved it.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
I thought it was fantastic.

Speaker 5 (00:54):
I thought it was fun to hear Stacey she's so funny.
I love how she kind of I feel like, was
using radio terms that I was picking up on like
and it made me lol.

Speaker 6 (01:04):
Oh she did.

Speaker 5 (01:05):
She did, at least I thought so, like like or
maybe not necessarily radio terms, but like things that like
that I've learned being in radio that I.

Speaker 6 (01:15):
Noticed Stacy doing, like like not.

Speaker 5 (01:17):
Wanting to go backwards, you know what I mean, Like
things like that, And like, I just thought it was cute.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
I like, and it's left and I was. I enjoyed
it tremendously.

Speaker 6 (01:26):
I thought she did an awesome job. I teeed her
up a lot because she has lots to say. And
when we're done, I'm like, see, people don't know the
side of you. And she's like, well, I really only
tell you these things. I'm like, well, then that's good
that you can say it on the microphone and people
can get to know your personal she said.

Speaker 5 (01:40):
She was like, now I have a platform to tell
all of my I cannot.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
She was really funny. There was a lot of really
funny things, she said.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
But I was telling Rich this morning, I said, it
was a great podcast, I said, but it was almost
like he was the host in interviewing her, like I
wanted them to get you know, to get into whatever.
Like at one point when somebody asked the question to her,
why did you get married a second time? And when
she starts talking about Rich, I got like all emotional.
I thought, oh my god, that's so beautiful. Then he
just goes on to the next question, like I wanted

(02:08):
to hear from him. Now do you know what I mean?
Because it was so awesome. I almost think you're uncomfortable
because she was complimenting you too much.

Speaker 6 (02:14):
Like you're lying.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Get out there's I lolled out loud a couple of times.
Well that's good when you like, you know, you didn't
know anything about her.

Speaker 6 (02:24):
Well, her work is mysterious and important.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
It's on our if you go to John Jay and
Rich on demand, you can hear that podcast.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Now, which one of us is next? Do we decide?

Speaker 4 (02:33):
I don't know if we've decided.

Speaker 5 (02:35):
We didn't decide, but I said I would be down
to do it.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Okay, So then you your podcast with Kadeem will be
next Sunday at ten am. Okay, okay?

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Cool? All right, cool, cool, all right, very cool.

Speaker 6 (02:43):
And people have questions they should they should send us.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Yeah, we'll post all this stuff, but we'll post on
it on Facebook and Instagram.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
When to ask Peyton and Kadem all the questions?

Speaker 5 (02:51):
Yeah, what I kind of think I'm gonna do is
I'm going to make one of those little highlight things
on Instagram on our story, so you can just go
tap on it and ask all the questions under each couple.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
I noticed something yesterday.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
If if I'm right, over the weekend, Peyton went to
the same restaurant that Rich went to and the different
restaurant that I went to. In fact, yesterday, I think
you and I went the same restaurant the same day,
within minutes of each other. I think really, because I
even asked my wife. I said how many of these
restaurants are in town? She was I think one, and
I go, oh, well, I think Peyton and I we
must have just missed each other.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
I'm talking about True Food.

Speaker 5 (03:23):
Oh my gosh, no way, because literally I was with
my brother and my friend Andrew. She goes, hey, that
guy looks like John Jay and I looked and I
was like, that's not John Jay.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
I was walking from the.

Speaker 5 (03:34):
No, it was the guy that I saw was definitely
not you. So I think she saw you and I
saw a different guy.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
What time we were there?

Speaker 5 (03:40):
Uh like one fifteen?

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Yeah, we were there, like we read how longly?

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Therefore an hour?

Speaker 2 (03:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Were you outside or inside?

Speaker 5 (03:47):
Inside? Right by the door?

Speaker 2 (03:49):
I was outside, okay, patio, Yeah.

Speaker 6 (03:52):
She probably did see. You guys are the same. Actually
really weird.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
So get this. So we're in this little area, My
wife and I and you know obviously we have the
Lupop Foundation.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Were huge dog lovers.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
There were two I'm gonna call them Karens, the best
way you can think of an image in your head
of a Karen. Okay, there were two of them. They
both had little dogs sitting next to them, and both dogs,
for no reason, would be barking and would bark periodically
but quickly, like a lot. And these women would just
laugh and ignore the barking, and within a few minutes

(04:26):
their whole side of the patio cleared out. People left
because of them. And then I noticed that they were
rude to the wait staff. They were so rude. So
I had the same server that they had, and when
she came over to me, I said, can I ask you?
Are those two women being really rude to you? And
she was like, I don't want to talk a bad
about anybody, but yeah, and I mean they were so
like I saw at one point the lady went to

(04:47):
go at the server went to go ask one of
these women a question, and she was texting on her
phone and she didn't even look up until she was
like it was like it was an uncomfortable twenty twenty
five seconds.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
It was just rude.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
And then Blake, at some point my wife, who was
one of the nice people the world, said you need
to film that. You need to film them right now.
So I filmed them and then I was like, do
I post this? Like I want to post it because
I got a good I filmed them and their dogs
are barking, and then the one lady, Blake said, looks
like she was waving, but to me, it looks like
she's covering her face. She's going like this right because
she and I want to post and go do you
know these two women? Shame on them? Shame and you

(05:20):
didn't yet.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
I didn't yet.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
I didn't yet it because I don't want to eat
is all everybody to make these comments?

Speaker 3 (05:25):
That's not very love up. That's what I would get,
you know what I mean?

Speaker 6 (05:28):
I mean it isn't.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
But I also want to alert everybody. Now the other
restaurant is both of you guys went to Elefante.

Speaker 6 (05:33):
You were at Elafonte.

Speaker 5 (05:34):
I was at Alfante.

Speaker 6 (05:37):
Friday. What time early, like five thirty six.

Speaker 5 (05:41):
Oh, so you just missed me because I left at
like four.

Speaker 6 (05:44):
Oh you in early? Okay, that is a scene. I
don't know what it's like in the middle of the day,
but that is the most seeny Sceni restaurant since Toka Madero,
since Maple went out.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
Oh is it.

Speaker 5 (05:54):
I've never been to Toka, so I don't I don't
have a comparison for that. But when I walked in,
it was still sunshine. It was a beautiful day on Friday,
and they had like kind of the windows were open
so you got all of the fresh air. There's a
lot of foot traffic. It wasn't crazy busy in there.
But we sat at the bar and I had an
excellent experience. I had a wonderful lavender espresso martini.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Oh get My wife went there in the middle of
the day and.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
It was the place to be seen. She said, and
she says, there's this.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Like bread thing that bring out that's unbelievable.

Speaker 6 (06:22):
With whipped egg plant.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Yes, that thing is that the thing that I gave
you a heads up to when you go.

Speaker 6 (06:27):
I was like, make sure if you don't even touch
the whipped eggplant. The bread thing is like pizza dough,
but it's all fluffied. It's like it's almost like a
somewhere in the middle of a casad in a pancake
in a pizza dough. It's really good if you're like
on the bread train. But what we saw when we
were there are a ton of what looked like first dates.
And that's totally a place she would go because the

(06:47):
bar's giant where you can sit around the bar and
then all the tables around the bar. And I feel
like I saw maybe three first dates go okay and
one totally not go okay. Really where they were talking,
introduced each other's big smiles, and then about fifteen minutes
and they both just had their heads and their phones
and then they were out with the minutes of meeting.

Speaker 5 (07:06):
It was ladies, if you can't get a man to
take you to Elephante on a first date, you better
keep hitting That place was nice and.

Speaker 6 (07:15):
It was three of them did. Food was good, though
it was is a great place to watch people, that's
for sure.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
So quick recap.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
The couple's podcast is the same place where you get
this podcast John Jay and Rich on demand.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
The next segment we're going to.

Speaker 7 (07:29):
Do is called second Date Update because that's what we're
going to try and get and that's what the bit
is called Second Date Updates.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
Starts right now on John Jay and Rich Jah Jay Rich.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
We do second Dight Update every Tuesday, and sometimes we
have to do emergency second Dight updates or whatever. And
Samantha apparently, did you shoot an email to Peyton there
was something going on in your world where you needed
a second ad update?

Speaker 3 (07:49):
Right?

Speaker 8 (07:50):
I did? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (07:52):
What's the story?

Speaker 9 (07:53):
So?

Speaker 8 (07:54):
I just got out of a really long bad relationship
and a few weeks ago, I want on my first date.
I met him on Hinder and everything went great. We
went back to his house, we had drinks, we you know,
did things, and everything was awesome. The next morning came around,

(08:14):
he took me home. We texted from then on out
for a week straight, like all day long. He would
call me. Everything was fine. And then I go to
go out with my sister for her birthday. So I
get a little bit drunk, and he is like off
on a trip with his buddies, writing a TV's or whatever,

(08:36):
and but he's still texting me. So I ended up
like drunks texting him that night while he was sleeping,
probably like I don't know, ten or twelve texts and pictures,
and I was like, hey, you know, call me. I
want to talk to you. I think I said at
one point there's a bar full of people here and
I just want your attention. And so the next morning

(09:01):
he never texted me or called me, and I think
I like texted him and said, hey, I'm really sorry,
I was really drunk whatever, and they just got nothing.

Speaker 10 (09:10):
He ghosted me, what kind of that you sent?

Speaker 8 (09:17):
Just cute ones? You know, just keete selfie from the bar?

Speaker 6 (09:21):
How was it like you?

Speaker 5 (09:22):
I said, you guys like you said?

Speaker 6 (09:23):
You hooked up?

Speaker 5 (09:24):
Right?

Speaker 11 (09:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (09:26):
Was there chemistry?

Speaker 7 (09:27):
Like?

Speaker 5 (09:27):
Was it like you know what I mean? Maybe he
was trying to fel Okay, that's I've ever had in
my life.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
Did you spend the night?

Speaker 11 (09:34):
I did?

Speaker 8 (09:35):
Yeah, and then Todd the next morning dang.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
So then if you're him, he's with the guy's a
TV and he's getting these texts and you said I
need your attention.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
I think that could you know this?

Speaker 2 (09:44):
This is one of those things where we we we
should call him because it probably could be cleared up.
When he hears the tone, like the way you told
it to us, it sounds he's adorable.

Speaker 5 (09:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
But if you're him and you get a text and
it's like all caps it says I need your attention,
I'd be like, Dang's fine.

Speaker 4 (10:01):
Maybe he didn't have service, like you know, if he's
on a TV S and stuff, he could be out
of the dunes, which sometimes like service really sucks out there.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
But then they come in.

Speaker 6 (10:08):
Yeah, how long has it been?

Speaker 5 (10:12):
How long has it been since you drunk texted him?
Like since he ghosted you?

Speaker 8 (10:17):
How long has it been?

Speaker 5 (10:18):
Yeah, Like, when's the last time you heard from him?

Speaker 8 (10:22):
It's been like a week.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
Okay, we have his number, So do you care if
you call him?

Speaker 11 (10:29):
Oh?

Speaker 10 (10:29):
Yeah, good?

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Okay, you know how this works, right? You stay quiet?

Speaker 12 (10:32):
YEP?

Speaker 3 (10:33):
I mean could he be married? Did you go to
his house? To your house?

Speaker 8 (10:36):
I did know I went to I hope he's not married,
all right.

Speaker 6 (10:41):
He did make me.

Speaker 8 (10:42):
Leave though, when his baby mama came to pick up
his his kid.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
Wait, so his kid was at the house.

Speaker 6 (10:49):
Yeah, wait, how old is this kid? Six?

Speaker 3 (10:54):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (10:55):
So he went back to his house and the kid
was in the room sleeping. Yeah, did was there a babysitter?

Speaker 8 (11:02):
Yeah? Of course yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Okay. So then he's like, baby mama is coming. You
got to go.

Speaker 6 (11:06):
Yeah, but he drove you home.

Speaker 5 (11:09):
Yep.

Speaker 8 (11:10):
And I even texted him after he dropped me off,
and I was like, Hey, this might be really uncool
of me or whatever, but I like you and.

Speaker 13 (11:17):
I hope you feel the same.

Speaker 8 (11:18):
But if you don't, let me know your tools for games.
And he said I feel the same. He said absolutely.
I'm like, he had my name down in his phone
at my sam like things were going so good and
I just don't I don't.

Speaker 14 (11:32):
Know what I did.

Speaker 6 (11:33):
Yeah, I want to know quick.

Speaker 8 (11:37):
Okay, tell you one thing there is he did text
me when I texted him at the bar, I said,
you suck. There's so many people at this bar and
I just want your attention, and he said through the
last text I ever got from him, he said, if
you want their attention, go get it.

Speaker 6 (11:52):
Yeah, because you brought you suck.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
Because she's making you're reading it, making it seem like
these guys are hitting on me. You're not giving me attention.
So I almost call them up. And it's not even
like a second date, uplay. We call them up.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
But we need to we need to clear some things.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
Yeah, maybe hear something.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
I think there's some miscommunication.

Speaker 3 (12:09):
The tone in the text is read wrong.

Speaker 6 (12:11):
Well I'm excited about this.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
Yeah, all right, so you can get so you stay
quiet real.

Speaker 6 (12:15):
Quick, okay, Samantha yep, yep.

Speaker 3 (12:31):
Hello, Hey Derek, Hey, this is John, Jay and Rich.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
We do a radio show, and we want to see
if we get talked to you about clearing up some miscommunication,
if we can on our radio show.

Speaker 12 (12:44):
Uh, okay, in regards to what well.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
It's in regards to a person in our life, in
your life, and we feel that some texts were read wrong,
and so what know, we could talk to you about
it on the air because we think it's there's two
really good people involved, but something's just kind of miss interpreted.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
If we could.

Speaker 12 (13:02):
Do what now.

Speaker 6 (13:06):
Talked on the air about some text messages.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
Probably can we talk to you on our show about
some text messages?

Speaker 8 (13:13):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Sure, I guess I appreciate that, Thank you very much. Okay,
So here's a deal. We're calling about Samantha. Okay, okay,
she told us everything and I when when she read
us the text messages she sent you, and we feel
that maybe the tone was read improperly because she really

(13:34):
likes you. She told us the whole story. So can
we get your point of view on your date with Samantha?
Becauld you go sit her? And we just wanted to
follow up.

Speaker 12 (13:42):
Well, yeah, like super quick. There was drama and I
don't want no damn drama.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
I get it, we thought, but what's the drama because
we feel like we feel like the text messages could
have come across as like stage five clinger maybe to you,
but when she said them in her tone, we felt
like it was it was she was trying to be
like cute, see and flirty with you, Like.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
She's in the bar with all these people and she's like, hey,
I want your attention and I as soon as she
said that to me, I was like, oh, bro, He's like, Okay,
if all these guys are hitting on you, go be
with him. But I don't think that's what she meant.

Speaker 12 (14:14):
Yeah, but still right, so, oh, she's in the bar
every night, I'm pretty close to every night. You know
what I mean, Like, that's I'm not looking for that.
I mean, I'm not looking for a bunch of drama
and I don't want somebody that's always in the bar.
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
Yeah, that makes sense.

Speaker 5 (14:32):
You like talk to her about that, like you know,
like it seems like you guys like each other, liked
each other enough, So like would that be Hey, you're
in the bars all the time, I'm not really looking
for that.

Speaker 6 (14:41):
Maybe we can hang out and have a night in.

Speaker 12 (14:43):
Well, No, so I only met her one time, right.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
So it's a little too much.

Speaker 6 (14:48):
You don't have to think about it.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
Okay, So would you be willing to see her again?

Speaker 8 (14:54):
Huh?

Speaker 12 (14:55):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
Well, could we patch her through to talk to you?

Speaker 12 (14:59):
No, I'm not worked?

Speaker 2 (15:00):
Oh your work okay, okay, all right, Well we just
know that.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
I think if you were to communicate that with her,
I feel like she'd be totally open to be like,
I don't need the bars.

Speaker 12 (15:10):
Don Jay and Rich Bro, you want to say what's up?

Speaker 2 (15:14):
What's up?

Speaker 6 (15:15):
Guys?

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Hey, listen, here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna hang
out with you. You go back door, but we're gonna
tell her to reach out to you. Is that okay?

Speaker 12 (15:27):
Sure? Whatever whatever makes you feel.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
Good, all right, brother?

Speaker 12 (15:30):
All right, Hey, did you guys send me a damn
T shirt or something?

Speaker 2 (15:33):
Yeah, you got it. We'll send you all love that
T shirt?

Speaker 3 (15:35):
All right? All right?

Speaker 2 (15:36):
All right, all right brother, hold on, thanks man, Thanks, yep, later,
all right, Samantha.

Speaker 6 (15:45):
Yeah, did you hear all that?

Speaker 8 (15:47):
I did heard every word?

Speaker 3 (15:49):
So you didn't tell you at the bar every night?

Speaker 8 (15:51):
I'm not at the fool bar every night. Hello, I'm
so sorry. I am not. I am not at the
bar every night. It was literally my sister's birthday, right, okay.
I think I went to the bar one other time
that he knew of, you know, where he's doing that? Well,
he had been my birthday was the time before that?

Speaker 2 (16:13):
Well, I'm going to say this. I like him, Yeah obviously,
So why don't you wait like a half hour or
something and see if he texts you? And if he
does it, why don't you shoot him text going Hey,
I talked to John Jay and Rich.

Speaker 5 (16:27):
I even think a half hours too soon. I think
you gotta wait it out at least till.

Speaker 6 (16:30):
Half the day.

Speaker 8 (16:30):
Yeah, I think I should wait till maybe like later
when you're working.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
Yeah, off, but let him know that you talk to us, Okay,
like smiley faces, watch your tone what I said.

Speaker 8 (16:43):
I really wanted to say something. I wanted to jump in.

Speaker 6 (16:45):
That's okay, you did the right thing.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
That you did the right he's working.

Speaker 3 (16:48):
He didn't want to stay away from drama.

Speaker 5 (16:49):
I get it now, Yeah, and like now you now
you know. And so now when you text him and
you're just like, hey, I talked to John Jay and Rich.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
I totally understand why you feel the way you do.

Speaker 5 (16:57):
I really like you. I thought we had some great chemistry.
I want to work on it. I want to see
where this goes.

Speaker 4 (17:02):
Let's try to be careful about like making him think
you're too serious exactly at day I talked to John
Jay and Rich like, you know, like there was a
total miscommunication. I'm not trying to be drama. Like I'm
not out at the club every night. It's like my
sister's birthday, you know that warrants a trip.

Speaker 6 (17:18):
A trip to celebrate.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
But like, hopefully we can hang again because I feel
like we had some great chemistry.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Can you come over for Easter brunch?

Speaker 6 (17:25):
Do you want to mean my family?

Speaker 9 (17:27):
How my baby should we have.

Speaker 6 (17:30):
Let's yeah right, keep us posting, okay.

Speaker 8 (17:34):
All right, well, thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
Thanks.

Speaker 15 (17:37):
It wasn't no right, no good, this is today, all right,
thanks bit stop just yelling at the radio.

Speaker 7 (17:49):
Call us eight seven seven nine three seven one o
four seven.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
It's John, Jay and Rich.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Remember the other day we took this phone call that
was random, and this woman was telling about the stuff
she found on her phone or something like that.

Speaker 5 (18:02):
And I, oh, yeah, she about her caught her boyfriend
was hooking up with some girls in her phone.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
Yeah, yes, yes, because in the fact we thought she
was listening to another show because we know, but she
was listening to us. She just felt like calling in
and saying, I found video of my boyfriend with a
bunch of other women on my phone. Well, Regina sent
me a DM and Virgina was like, let me tell
you what I found.

Speaker 9 (18:23):
Okay.

Speaker 16 (18:24):
So the actual video footage was like like the year
before COVID and then COVID hit, you know, lockdown whatever.
And our daughter at the time was twelve, and I
went to her phone. She got in trouble for something,
and my husband was on a fire assignment, so it
was just her and I in our house, and I
went to her phone and I happened to find a video.
And mind you, I love my sister, but she she's

(18:45):
kind of one of those people who can't let her
younger years go, you know what I mean. And we
found a video on her phone and I swear my
heart stopped. And my daughter was twelve at the time,
my sister was in her late forties. My daughter was
drinking straight out a bottle of vodka, smoking a joint
with her auntie, and then her cousin was there, who

(19:07):
was fourteen, and you know, I saw the video, my
heart stopped and I was just like, oh my god.
And I had to rewatch it, rewatch it because there
was like my sister was in it, my daughter's drinking,
and my little other niece is smoking a joint in like,
so twelve, fourteen and my sister who's probably forty eight
at the time, and I literally did not know what
to do. I have an older brother, he's kind of

(19:30):
a good, really good one in our family, and he
was in law enforcement, and you know, he's either black
or white. I sent him the video because he's like,
I don't believe that, blah blah blah, and he was
just dumbfounded. So, needless to say, after that whole incident,
my husband has always not trusted my sister, and ever
since then, it has definitely left this dark cloud in

(19:51):
our relationship. Granted, since that my daughter, you know, she
was like I was only twelve, blah blah blah. We'll
never get an apology, needless to say, but it's definitely
left a cloud between me and my sister's relationship. Because
we'll never get an apology, I.

Speaker 4 (20:05):
Think it'd be more than a cloud, like I would
want to kill my sister.

Speaker 5 (20:09):
You weren't trying to throw hands at her. So do
you allow your niece or your daughter to be around
her aunt anymore?

Speaker 16 (20:15):
My daughter actually doesn't even ever want to be around her.
She's just like, she's like mom, she's a narcissistic person.
She's like all she does is party. She's in her
fifties now, and granted, she doesn't drink as much anymore
from what I know. I mean, I don't drink at
all anymore. I quit years ago too, just for health
benefits as well, and especially seeing that. But my daughter

(20:40):
even now, granted she's in high school and she has
her moments, but she just said no. I remember that feeling.
The next morning, like I woke up, my cousin was
on the couch, like I felt like crap, and I
had to clean up everything and blah blah blah, and
it was just so heartbreaking. Here and my daughter tell
the aftermath of the story's.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Sister created roue from euphoria.

Speaker 16 (20:59):
Right, yeah, no, well, I mean my daughter's not like rue.
Thank god. I think my sister was more rue. And
it don't sounds like this than anything, you know, And
I mean, the sad thing is is that she didn't
think she did anything wrong. Like when we confronted her person,
she was like, oh why, She's like, well, she was
the one who wanted to do this. I'm like, she
was twelve. You were the adult. You were the adult

(21:22):
you were supposed to She's like, but they wanted to
do this, this and this.

Speaker 4 (21:25):
I'm like, you say no, Yeah, I was wondering what
the excluse was because a lot of times you hear
like they're gonna be doing it anyways, they might as
well be doing it with me, and then I know
they're safe.

Speaker 5 (21:33):
Yeah, but it's not.

Speaker 6 (21:34):
I mean, yeah, she's still twelve, and you never would
have known if you wouldn't have snooped, That's okay.

Speaker 16 (21:39):
I've never would. And then the thing is my husband
and my husband when he got back from an fire assignment,
we were talking to her and we asked her and
here he was like, he's all. First off, he's like,
how dumb are you to save the video footage that
you got busted? He's like, you need He's like, you know,
so this was meant to be found. You put this,
you left this on your phone for a reason. It
was meant to be found.

Speaker 3 (21:58):
Thank you so much for calling in. Yes, thank you.

Speaker 7 (22:01):
Oh cool, your scanner stopped. It's John Jay and Rich,
John Jay Rich.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
We are still in spring break season. You guys are
still all over the news, so that means spring break
busts continue. So if there's ever somebody you want us
to bust, is it your boyfriend, your girlfriend, your daughter,
your son, Please use our show as a tool so
we can entertain ourselves. She was the DM John Jay Rich,

(22:28):
And that's what Alexandria did. Good morning Alexandra, Alexandria.

Speaker 6 (22:33):
Yes, hi, So who are we.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
Checking in on for you?

Speaker 11 (22:37):
Okay? So I just need to know what the hell
is going on? Because I'm seriously freaking out. So my ex,
the one who broke up with me like a week ago,
is on Vegas for spring break. And the crazy thing
is my best friend is also in Vegas. They're both there,
and I just I can't get over the feeling that

(22:59):
like something's going on. And I called her earlier, trying
to keep a chill, just like checking in, but I
swear she was just acting like a little too cool
about it, and I tried to tell her how weird
it was that my ex is going to Vegas right
after we broke up, and she completely brushed me off.
She acted like I was being extra defensive and she

(23:21):
got all weird, and then she blocks me on Snapchat
and like why would she do that? And listening shady's
going on now, I'm starting to wonder if there's more
of this than I'm realizing. And I saw a story
from one of my other friends and I swear to
god it was them all over each other at the school.

(23:41):
I don't know if I'm like overthinking things, but I'm
just feeling really messed up about it. Something feels off,
and it's not just that my ex is there, it's
just how she's acting like, she's acting really weird, and
I low key feel like she might have a thing
for him. So I just want to call her. And
she's up and she has safely done anything.

Speaker 3 (24:03):
You know another think about it.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
We have not had a Las Vegas spring break reporter,
so this works out good. All right, Okay, so we'll
get her, well, we'll get her on. We'll ask her
to be our reporter from Las Vegas. Tell us what's
going on? All right?

Speaker 11 (24:19):
All right?

Speaker 3 (24:20):
And her name is.

Speaker 11 (24:22):
Her name is Marlee.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
Okay, what's your boyfriend's name? Ex boyfriend?

Speaker 11 (24:27):
John?

Speaker 2 (24:28):
All right, chan, hold on, We will get her on
the phone here, give us a minute. Okay, So we
get her on, wake her up, make sure she's cold
to be a reporter. Spring Break Bus continues next with
John Jaye Rich. So we are in the middle of
spring break bust. We got Alexandria on the line. She
wants a chicken on her friend, who she thinks is

(24:50):
in Vegas with her ex boyfriend, newly ex boyfriend of
just a week. Is that right, Alexandria, that's right? Okay,
Marley's the friend. John is the ex boyfriend.

Speaker 5 (25:01):
But to like block your friend on snapchat is insane
to me. I think that is the biggest red flag,
Like what are you being shaded for for? What?

Speaker 6 (25:09):
The break up right before spring break is fishy to me?

Speaker 5 (25:11):
I mean all of it is so weird and you
are in your right mind, Alexandria to be giving us
a call to try to figure this out.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
Figure out? Nick, did you get a hold of her?

Speaker 10 (25:24):
Yeah, guys, Marley's on six. Marlee is on six.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
That would be line six. Okay, good morning Marley. Hi,
Oh my god, on Hi, Hey, are you cool being
our reporter for spring Break in Las Vegas?

Speaker 13 (25:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (25:45):
Okay, so you are in Las Vegas right now?

Speaker 17 (25:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 14 (25:48):
Yeah, yeah, I'm just like sorry, I'm just running on
two hours of sleep on like a bag of bo
so yeah, yeah, what I am in Vegas? You know,
like you really got to live it all out right
right right?

Speaker 3 (26:02):
Okay? Good?

Speaker 2 (26:02):
Good, Well that's what we're calling you for because we
want you to report for us and let us know
what's going on. And we do this every day, we
talk to a different spring Breaker, so we like to
know about like you know, who you're with, if you
if you connected with people, you know, maybe where you
got the coke?

Speaker 3 (26:18):
From so Peyton can take notes.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
We just we just want to know, like give us
like some backstory of what's happened since you've been in
Las Vegas for spring break if you don't mind, Like
who are you with?

Speaker 13 (26:33):
So I'm with like two of my like really good friends,
and I'm with the guys that I'm kind of been
like hooking up for like three months or so. And
so we were like on a flight to Vegas like
literally yesterday and got the back row of the plane
and it was kind of empty for the first like
the last three rows, and so we were like before that,

(26:56):
we were getting like pretty drunk in the airport. We
just had to like game. We were so excited and
I was like clearly tipsy, and we all had this
like amazing idea to like maybe do the Mile High
Club if it was like even if possible, And we
were just so lucky because like, hold on, I got
some like slide in my mouth got left over.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
Hold on, hold on, I noticed you're like a group
of people, let's join the Mile High Club. Like normally
I think that's like a one on one thing. Like
it was a conversation.

Speaker 13 (27:28):
I honestly like it was the best experience I've ever had.
Like it's kind of I know, it sounds a little
like different, but I think because we were all like
really drunk and we were just having a great time
and we were so lucky that the flight attendants weren't
really around, and so we just like jumped on the

(27:48):
opportunity when we were on the flight and so I
started to go on him for like a few rounds
and then like thirty seconds is kind of like the
time I think for the mile High Club for us.
That's what we established and that my friend Cameron did it,
and then after her, Bailey did that.

Speaker 5 (28:10):
So with the same guy, Yeah, the guy you've been
sleeping with for three months.

Speaker 6 (28:16):
Yeah, and you let your friends do that in the bathroom.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
I need to know the visual.

Speaker 13 (28:20):
No, like you've heard that by it though, Like I
kind of thought it was really hot and it was
also like his idea too, like before and we've been
talking about it for like a month or show and
it was like this like fanta scene that we had
and it just happened.

Speaker 2 (28:36):
Okay, okay, listen just because it is radio and it's
I need to paint a picture. So it wasn't it
was in the bathroom, so trying to do mile high
club so that you don't get caught.

Speaker 3 (28:48):
Like where would he be sitting?

Speaker 13 (28:52):
Okay, so he would sit like in the back corner,
like in the window street okay.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
And then let's say you go first, you go first,
what do you do?

Speaker 8 (29:00):
Well?

Speaker 13 (29:02):
Okay, So he's wearing sweatpants and that was like very
convenient for me everybody, and so I was like looking
around just to make sure no one was looking, you know,
I didn't want to get caught. And so when the
time was right, I just like kind of like sat
on him. And then he also was like careful too,
looking out sure, but he led the movement okay, Okay, So.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
Then you then you hop off and now you're in
the middle seat and do you switch with the person
in the aisle?

Speaker 13 (29:31):
So the whole back row is kind of like free, right,
So my friends and I, like my two friends that
were kind of like scattered on the back rows just
to like keep an eye out. And then when it
was like we didn't want to make it suspicious. So
like there's three rows, right, so I want one row
and with with John, and then the other friend is

(29:51):
in the middle and the other one is in the
last row. So like we had this like amazing teamwork.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
It sounds the best flight ever. Yeah for John? For John?

Speaker 11 (30:00):
Now my god, did I just hear that?

Speaker 1 (30:03):
Right?

Speaker 11 (30:05):
Did you seriously just admit that you've been sleeping with
my boyfriend this whole time? A? Yeah, it's me. Are
you kidding me? Stupid bitch? Are you kidding me? Are
you sing? John?

Speaker 13 (30:18):
Who he's the one that jumps you? So this is
not my problem?

Speaker 11 (30:23):
Oh my god, I can't I count with you. You're a snake, Marley.
You are literally a snake. I trusted you, you were
my best friend, and you were literally out there my
boyfriend behind my back.

Speaker 13 (30:36):
How does it feel our friend talking about him? Like
literally our whole friendship? Was you being paranoid about where
he was, what he was doing, and like that was
all of our friendship?

Speaker 11 (30:49):
Oh my god? And what so I was right? I
was doing that because I was.

Speaker 13 (30:55):
Right honestly, Like it wasn't like that were like a
long time until like you kind of just manifested it
into your actual life.

Speaker 3 (31:06):
I didn't know your best friends.

Speaker 4 (31:08):
I mean, maybe she just thought she could trust her
friends around her boyfriend.

Speaker 2 (31:11):
I don't know. It's a bomber about your boyfriend. But
you guys did break up A but b as A
as A as a listener, as a viewer of this,
because I'm viewing it in my head. It's a beautiful
story accomplishing that the Mile High Club with three women
was the three with three women, two women, twomen.

Speaker 6 (31:27):
Three three there were three of them.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
I don't know so far. I got two in my
head out of three. Wow.

Speaker 6 (31:33):
But there's no way you guys were invisible. But Sean
telling if you're drunk, there's no way that you were
being all sneaky.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
Nobody knew everybody every day been on a party plane
to Vegas or a party playing in Mexico. Supring break plane.
It's insane, It's crazy. I could totally see the chaos
in the plane. But to be John, Like, let's say
it's five years from now. Let's say it's ten years
from now and John is telling this story, nobody's gonna
believe John, do you know.

Speaker 3 (31:56):
What I mean?

Speaker 6 (31:57):
John sucks.

Speaker 4 (32:00):
I'm not even thinking about John and about Alexandria and
like how her whole friendship group has just blown up
and now she knows their true colors. But still that's
not going to get an easier like that would crush me.

Speaker 13 (32:13):
Well, we all wanted to do it, so like it's
all like consensual, and so you're missing the point.

Speaker 6 (32:22):
Yeah, you're still you're still messing around.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
We're not here to judge you, guys. Just let them
tell the story and let's let's be happy. We finally
have a spring break bus that.

Speaker 11 (32:31):
I like, you're pathetic and you're disgusting, and you know what,
I'm really really glad he's my ex and I'm really
glad you're my ex friend because if I don't want
to you were, I would have kicked you both to
the curb way earlier.

Speaker 6 (32:45):
There you go, by the way.

Speaker 13 (32:48):
Whatever, go cry about it where you always do in
your house. So I'm going to have a great time
in Vegas, and yeah, that's it.

Speaker 11 (32:56):
Have a great time. I'm telling everyone with a piece
of shit you are by the way, so enjoy enjoy
your break because when you come back, things are going
to be really different.

Speaker 2 (33:04):
Okay, real quick, though, Marley, are you hooking up with
like are your friends hooking up with John even in Vegas?
Or there's just for the flight. Okay, he's got boundaries,
all right.

Speaker 6 (33:16):
Once we land.

Speaker 5 (33:20):
Karma Will Yeah, I'm sorry, Alexandria. There are some better
friends out there for you.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
Go okay, yeah, yeah, all right you guys, thanks for
going on there with us though.

Speaker 12 (33:30):
Thank you.

Speaker 13 (33:30):
I hope to work with you again.

Speaker 5 (33:32):
Thanks.

Speaker 2 (33:33):
It's spring Break spring Break bus with John Jay and Rich.

Speaker 1 (33:37):

personal cell phone number. Where is my freaking phone?

Speaker 7 (33:44):

Speaker 1 (33:47):

He also appeared one time on a podcast with Grant

Speaker 5 (36:10):

half a point because I was pretty.

Speaker 1 (36:14):

that is King Kong and that's after he defeated the
t Rex in the film King Kong.

Speaker 2 (36:40):

Speaker 5 (36:45):

is a building that turned into a robust.

Speaker 3 (38:14):
What's fun about playing with the building?

Speaker 6 (38:15):
That's not even that's Tom Hanks, but it's that toyster.

have to guess the big thing that this person is
talking about.

Speaker 2 (38:40):
Okay, all right.

Speaker 9 (38:41):
I thought it was just a movie, to be honest,
that's so awesome.

Speaker 2 (38:46):
What I really thought it was just a movie.

Speaker 5 (38:51):
That is me Kadeve and Grant talking on a podcast
and Kadem is talking about how he didn't know that
the Titanic is real.

Speaker 7 (38:58):
Congratulations, This Titanic is what we were looking for.

Speaker 5 (39:03):
Why would you put my man on blasts like that?

Speaker 1 (39:08):
Take the point?

Speaker 10 (39:09):
Hey, I just want to tell everybody that was that
episode was behind a paywall, but because Nick was pulling
that clip, it is now free to everyone. On the
Terrible Person is called Dorkin with Peyton and Kadem it's amazing.

Speaker 6 (39:23):
You gotta check it.

Speaker 7 (39:24):
Out, all right, one point for Peyton. Way to go, Kyle,
so glad.

Speaker 5 (39:31):
To be the way.

Speaker 6 (39:31):

happy to be me.

Speaker 4 (39:37):

Speaker 7 (39:38):
Big Bird is correcting cook Kyle. All Right, Malcolm, if
you get this, you're gonna go see Big Time Rush

Speaker 12 (39:50):
All right, let's be.

Speaker 1 (39:54):
Big time.

Speaker 16 (39:57):
Oh god the name of the song.

Speaker 1 (40:00):
And yeah, just give me something.

Speaker 9 (40:01):
Man.

Speaker 6 (40:03):
Oh, that's a big time run time Rush. Way to go,
mal It takes his time, but he gets them right.

Speaker 2 (40:13):
Congratulations, We're gonna set you up a big time rush.

Speaker 3 (40:16):
Hold on, we're doing it every day. By the way.

Speaker 2 (40:17):
We got big Time Rush and the chance to go
back stage you meet the guys. We also got Jonas
Brothers every single day this week.

Speaker 7 (40:24):
If Chaos was a radio show, you're listening to it.

Speaker 1 (40:28):
It's John Jay and Ridge.

Speaker 2 (40:30):
It's National Distracted Driving Awareness Month and a poll found
that one in seven Americans have fallen asleep at the wheel.

Speaker 3 (40:38):
What do you do to stay awake?

Speaker 2 (40:41):
Talk to someone on the phone, roll down the window,
blast air conditioning, crank the radio. That's sixty people crank
the radio, and sixty three percent of people drink something
with caffeine, And I was just curious. Eight seven seven
nine three seven one oh four seven. Uh, what's the
crazy thing you've ever seen someone do while driving?

Speaker 6 (41:02):
That's not driving?

Speaker 2 (41:03):
No, No, that is driving. Well, while you're driving, you're driving,
And like, I was at a red light with time
and I saw a guy playing drums on the steering
wheel and I thought it was the coolest thing everything.
But that was another time I was driving and I
saw a guy shaving, like with an old school razor
on this at a red light shaving. So I just
want to quick throw it out there. Eight seven seven
nine three seven one o four seven the craziest or
strangest thing you've ever seen someone do while they were driving? Valerie,

(41:26):
You see someone doing something crazy while they were driving?

Speaker 16 (41:28):
Yeah, I saw. I just saw a guy playing a
trumpet with hands.

Speaker 2 (41:33):
That's awesome.

Speaker 4 (41:35):
It's making his own music.

Speaker 6 (41:37):
You would almost think that would be too big to
fit in between him in the front of the windshie,
wouldn't you.

Speaker 16 (41:41):
Yeah, I have no idea, but I actually did get
a picture of it, and so I mean that says
a lot about my driving. But anyway, we.

Speaker 2 (41:52):
Got someone on the line to said they saw a
picture somebody taking a picture of someone driving and playing
the trumpet. Thanks Valerie Thing, thanks for listening.

Speaker 16 (42:01):
Okay, thank you, Maya.

Speaker 3 (42:03):
What'd you see someone do while they were driving?

Speaker 17 (42:05):
I actually have to slap myself when I'm driving because
nothing else works.

Speaker 2 (42:10):
I've been there.

Speaker 17 (42:11):
I've become like narcoleptic when I'm.

Speaker 13 (42:13):
Sleep and driving.

Speaker 6 (42:14):
You give yourself a really good salad contact where it
makes a crack when you slap yourself.

Speaker 12 (42:20):
Not that much.

Speaker 19 (42:21):
I just kind of slapped my cheeks a little bit.

Speaker 6 (42:23):
Yeah, if you could little, I do that too. You
got to go a little harder than like like this.
I'll show you.

Speaker 4 (42:30):
I thought you said a salad salad wake you up?
I mean, I guess if it's crunchy, that would work.

Speaker 3 (42:35):
So you slap yourself and you wake up.

Speaker 2 (42:37):
Yeah, that works. It totally works.

Speaker 13 (42:39):
Like a couple of minutes, it's gonna have.

Speaker 2 (42:40):
To do it again, I say, crank up, John, Jay
and Rich. Thanks Maya, Ramal and good morning. What have
you seen someone do while driving?

Speaker 20 (42:46):
I was driving up next to him and I think
he was going number one because you look tucked away,
and I think when he was done, he speed it
up and I just saw a water bottle get thrown
out of one douf. So you figure it out, I suppose. So,
so I just figure I'm like, okay, he was going
number one. All right, you guys get it. He has
to get where he's going.

Speaker 2 (43:04):
I've done that while driving, and it's very difficult. I was,
I was, you know, a typical guy. I think I
was trying to make it good time. It was a
three and a half hour drive and I think I
could do it in three fifteen. So I decided to
pee while I was driving. Then I had to turn,
and then a bottle fell and terrible. It's terrible.

Speaker 6 (43:18):
That seems like that's that's high risk driving and trying
to do that.

Speaker 2 (43:21):
Yeah, all right, thanks Romond, Maria. You got a story.

Speaker 12 (43:26):
Yeah, so I have a story.

Speaker 14 (43:28):
I drive an SUV, so I set up a little
fire than a car.

Speaker 8 (43:34):
So it's happened more than one time that I've seen this,
And there was guys having fun with himself.

Speaker 2 (43:44):
Oh yeah, that's the thing. It's a thing, I mean,
not like a thing like something every guy does, but
I think it's some bizarre fetish because you heard about
the guy that went to that drive through that coffee park. Yeah, Maria,
thanks for calling in and thank you for listening.

Speaker 12 (44:03):
Yeah, you're welcome.

Speaker 19 (44:04):
I have a good day you too.

Speaker 2 (44:06):
If you have any other ones, shoot us a call
eight seven seven nine seven one four seven or DM
John J.

Speaker 3 (44:11):
Vanes.

Speaker 2 (44:12):
It's John Jay and Rich. I don't know how you found.

Speaker 7 (44:14):
Us, but I'm so thankful that you did. It's John
Jay and Rich.

Speaker 2 (44:20):
You guys all know how much of a guitar player
and fan of guitars Rich is, right, I mean, a
couple of years ago I got him an autographed guitar
from the Rolling Stones. He's you know, he's got You've
got a room where the guitars are like in a
temperature controlled room.

Speaker 6 (44:31):
True.

Speaker 3 (44:32):
I mean you are a guitar fan.

Speaker 6 (44:33):
I mean it's my favorite thing and the music is
my favorite thing.

Speaker 2 (44:36):
So I'm watching this stand up comedian the other day
on TV and something happens where it reminds me of Rich. Now,
before we play the clip, I happen to also know
that Rich has a story about Guitar Center. So I
thought Rich could tell the story about Guitar Center. Rich
and if you don't mind after the story, could I
play the clip and tell me if it rings true? Okay,
may be right, So what's the story?

Speaker 6 (44:57):
So I lunch with my buddy DJ, and we're mean
that like noon, and I realized it's going to be
really early for the lunch. I call my wife Stacey,
and I'm like, what can I do for the next
forty five minutes? And her list was terrible. It's like,
can you go to the post office for me? Can you,
you know, stop by Safeway and pick up a prescription?
Neither one of those are fun and totally out of
my way. But I do know that there's a guitar
center right down the street from where we're supposed to

(45:19):
have lunch. I like to go in look at new microphones,
look at headphones, look at new guitars. So I pop
in and there's really nobody in the store. I go
back into the acoustic guitar room. So they have some
of the like you know, normal people guitars out, but
if you go into the acoustic room, that's the higher
priced stuff. You can find fancy, really fancy stuff. So

(45:40):
I go in and I noticed, like some things are
kind of set up wrong, like they got tags sticking
out of guitar string. So I pull a few of
the tags out so people can play guitars because I
want to look nice in there. So I start playing
a guitar and a guy walks in behind me and
he's kind of noodling around on something and he's like, hey,
what do you think of these? I'm like, oh, those
are okay. I go the kind of expensive. So I

(46:00):
talked to him for a few minutes, said what's your
budget for an acoustic and he tells me that he's
looking to spend about a thousand dollars. I'm like, that's
a lot of money. You can get a great guitar
for that. How about this one? So I handed to
him it's all out of tune. I'm like, let me
tunt it for you. So I tuned the guitar like
what's your name? My name's Tim, Like, I'm rich, nice
to meet you. We start talking for a while and
I'm handing him different guitars and his price range, and

(46:22):
I'm tuning him for him before he plays him, and
I picked the one. I'm like, you should buy this
Martin guitar. So he's like, thanks, your name's Rich so
I can tell him that you help me so you
can get credit. And I'm like, oh, I don't work here.

Speaker 10 (46:40):
There.

Speaker 6 (46:41):
I'm so used to when I hang out in a
guitar place, musicians just talk to each other a big deal.
So I really thought he was like, well, what do
you think you're a player? I didn't think it worked there.
So I'm actually I got to go for my lunch
with DJ. So just you know, I grab the price tag,
bring it up front. Whatever it is, you're gonna love it.
You're gonna love it.

Speaker 3 (47:00):
As for your commission.

Speaker 6 (47:02):
Funny, I did walk out. I told the guy kind
of working the cash, I'm like, hey, Tim's in there.
He's gonna buy the Martin guitar the eight. He's gonna
love it.

Speaker 2 (47:11):
So on Hulu there's a comedian he dropped the special.
His name is Bill Burr. He's got a lot of specials.
Really funny guy. And you know, I mean, Rich Boord
goes to Guitar Center. I can't imagine ever doing that.
It's never in a million years when I do anything
like that. And I'm watching this comedian tell the spet.
He's telling the story, and I just thought, oh, my God.

Speaker 6 (47:29):
All right, well, I.

Speaker 1 (47:30):
Will give you.

Speaker 6 (47:31):
I will give you the number one place.

Speaker 1 (47:34):
To see sad men. Guitar Center. One of the saddest
places on earth.

Speaker 7 (47:44):
Failed struggling musicians behind the counter, A bunch of men
in loveless marriages are divorced, just walking around.

Speaker 1 (47:53):
Looking at the guitars.

Speaker 6 (47:55):
Is that a custom color? And then maybe if I
have that to my collection, will still up? Whatever this
boy it is and Center.

Speaker 2 (48:09):
It's like the algorithm following He's got the Rich Barra algorithm.
But you're not sad, No, sad. Your story is sad.

Speaker 6 (48:19):
It is sad.

Speaker 3 (48:23):
Thank you, Guitar Center. It's John Jay.

Speaker 1 (48:25):
We want you to be part of the show.

Speaker 7 (48:28):
Call us eighty seven seven nine three seven one oh
four seven.

Speaker 1 (48:33):
Get on the air with John Jay and Rich.

Speaker 2 (48:35):
You know. Sometimes I sit in here and like to
answer the phones, you know, and just kind of talk
to the people. And Val called. I picked up Val,
and I was like, hold on, Val, everybody has to
hear this story, and I feel it. Grant, I want you.
I want you to start off telling the story exactly
how you have told me. When I picked up the phone.

Speaker 9 (48:54):
Okay, one, I was listening to the radio, and I
was and I heard you guys talking about, you know,
have you guys experienced a murder your neighborhood. And I
was like, well, I never had a murder in my neighborhood,
but I got plenty connections to a murder in my family.
And I was like, well, I didn't know if that
would fit the profile, but anyways, I call it in
and yes it was. My cousin's name is Christopher Scarver.

(49:14):
My grandfather is Peter Scarver, and Christopher Scarver was in
Milwaukee's prison at the time when Dahmer was incarcerated and convicted,
and Christopher Scarver had killed Jeffrey Dahmer. And I think
the other guy's name was James. I can't remember his
last name, miss Early. I haven't had my coffee. But
how I found out was through Dahmer's documentary and that's

(49:38):
when it had, you know, he first came on and
seeing as this cannibal person. So I was watching the
documentary and as soon as they said Christopher Scarver's name
and I saw his picture, I was like, get out
of here, and I called my momm immediate lather. I said, Mom,
tell me, that's not Christy He's like yeah. I was like,
how come nobody said anything? And she's like, they just
didn't feel it was appropriate for us and all this stuff.

(50:01):
So currently I'm working with Colorado because since the murders happened,
they moved Christopher to Colorado and he's under tight locking
to you right now, so I have to go through
all these go ahead.

Speaker 2 (50:13):
She said, my cousin killed Jeffrey Dahmer, and I was like, dang,
when you just said his name, Grant lit up.

Speaker 3 (50:19):
Have you heard that name before?

Speaker 6 (50:20):
Oh? Yeah, of course, I mean in the community.

Speaker 1 (50:23):
Yeah, we have posters hung up in our apartment.

Speaker 6 (50:25):
Yeah but no, uh, well aware, but what was it?
What did what did he go to jail for?

Speaker 9 (50:31):
He Well, so the background is Christopher already struggled with
mental health issues at a young age, and so he
he was a bad guy. He really had some issues,
and he murdered his boss. Okay, and yeah, because the
boss didn't he basically told him, hey, it's not working out,

(50:51):
and Christopher wasn't taking his sitting down.

Speaker 5 (50:53):
So I have a question for you, Like, being so
connected and literally like one degree away from that case,
do you feel like you're like more invested into the
Dahmer case as if like another serial killer, because I
have a connection to the Manson murders, and I feel
like I really dive into that case more than anything else.

Speaker 9 (51:12):
Yeah, I just, you know, I try to in a sense,
I get a little nervous about that. And even though
you know, he's my cousin and everything, I still just
kind of I don't know, I don't look at him
any different. I just I feel, hey, I don't know,
I kind of have mixed feelings about it, like you know, hey,
all right, because he was a monster. But then at
on another thing, I'm just like, dang, cuz.

Speaker 6 (51:33):
Understandab, but do you think your cousin, like in his
mental state, did he know he was killing Jeffrey Dahmer
the murder just so he just pissed him off the jail?

Speaker 9 (51:43):
He well, well, the whole thing is from what my
cause I spoke with my uncles and everything. The whole
thing was Jeffrey when he was you know, incursorting, he
was talking those inmates, and he was like when he
was eating, you know, he's uh poor, like ketchup on
the chicken and all. I mean, he would do just
morbid stuff. And my cousin in his in his in

(52:04):
his mistle. No, he's basically Jeffrey had to go.

Speaker 6 (52:07):
That's the same.

Speaker 2 (52:08):
Yeah, And had I not known your cousin kill Jeffy
Dahmer until the document Like if my cousin Fernando killed somebody,
I think it would be the gossip.

Speaker 4 (52:14):
Of the all over the family.

Speaker 6 (52:17):
Like it's appropriate to share. Yeah, we didn't know if
it would be appropriated.

Speaker 2 (52:21):
Twenty years later a documentary comes out.

Speaker 3 (52:22):
You're like, is that Christopher?

Speaker 9 (52:24):
Like, I feel like I was like, get out of
here because my oldest son, you know, our bloodline is
so thick, and I like, my oldest son looks just
like my grandfather in side. No, no, I'm no relationship
Jeffer Christopher Scarver. So it's just kind of uncay. But
that's just how some families are. What's done, it's quiet

(52:44):
and said, I just feel like that's something.

Speaker 2 (52:47):
Now, well, welcome to town. I'm sure Minnesota, misses U Kyle.
What does it sound like?

Speaker 4 (52:51):
Oh, we really miss you.

Speaker 9 (52:57):
Fare that it's not not like the brain about but
it is something that's not like wow, you know, so
I just wanted to share it this morning.

Speaker 3 (53:05):
Thank you, val, Thank you for listening.

Speaker 9 (53:07):
Guys, take care, I listened to you all the time.

Speaker 6 (53:09):
Night Rack.

Speaker 1 (53:11):
It's the John Jay and Rich radio program. Two names,
four hosts and a whole lot of fun eats John
Jay and Rich.

Speaker 2 (53:20):
So Peyton just told us that she listens to the
Hannah Montana soundtrack weekly.

Speaker 3 (53:24):
And you're not ashamed of it.

Speaker 6 (53:25):
Not ashamed?

Speaker 2 (53:26):
No, So eight seven seven ninety three seven o four seven.
We want to know what do you still do? You're
still a fan of but you're not ashamed to admit Jessica,
good morning, Hi there, Hi.

Speaker 3 (53:38):
So what do you do? You're not ashamed to admit
that you did it when you're a kid, and you
still do it now.

Speaker 21 (53:43):
So when I was a preteen or teenager, the Teletubbies
came out, and I just remember thinking they were so
weird and kind of like the macau that I was like,
I can't believe this is a kids show. But I
ended up finding them fascinating. Actually, I don't know if
you guys remember, but back in the day when the
dolls first came, if you press their stomach too many times,
they would basically malfunction and say bad words. So I

(54:05):
don't know, they were just weird and wacky, and even
though I was too old for them, I kind of
love them. And I recently saw the TV show come
on on cable recently and I watched a couple episodes
of it.

Speaker 6 (54:15):
Back to back. Here just didn't you binge watch Teletubbies?
Is it adult?

Speaker 21 (54:20):
Yeah, it's awesome. I was born in the hotel.

Speaker 6 (54:23):
Oh yeah, that's that's good. That's the best place for that.

Speaker 2 (54:26):
That's good. So that doesn't necessarily have to be something
you do as a kids, just something that you do
that maybe you're not ashamed to admit.

Speaker 3 (54:31):
But it's kind of like, dang man, what are you doing? Right?

Speaker 4 (54:33):
People may judge, but you're in it.

Speaker 2 (54:35):
Yeah, right, right, that's a good one. Yeah, thanks Jessica, Yeah,
thank you. Bye, Casey, good morning.

Speaker 16 (54:42):
Hi.

Speaker 19 (54:43):
I still sleep with my blanky and I love my blanky.

Speaker 6 (54:47):
Is it the same one from when you were a child.

Speaker 19 (54:49):
It is. I think there might have been a refresh
back in like my toddler days, but it's the same
one since then. I'm thirty five.

Speaker 6 (54:57):
Now it's held together.

Speaker 19 (55:00):
Oh no, it looks like crap. It looks absolutely torn up.
It is clean though, that's awesome. I hit it when
My husband used to come around before when we were dating.
I would like put it away when he would stay over,
but then he moved in, and I'm like, you know
what you need to know that this lived in my bed.
Don't touch it, don't play on it, don't use it.
This is mine and I am very protective over it.

(55:23):
So and I will be forever.

Speaker 2 (55:26):
Thanks Casey, thanks for calling in great Daisy, good morning.
Is there something you do as an adult that you're
not ashamed to admit but it's a little embarrassing.

Speaker 19 (55:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 17 (55:41):
I'm completely obsessed with wrestling WWE and sent incredibly huge
amounts of money buy T shirts. I thought, five hundred
dollars doll will go to live events.

Speaker 13 (55:52):
I preach about it.

Speaker 17 (55:54):
Like it's church to everybody. Get everybody invited. Just I
just convinced my wife to grade to a seventy five inch.
You I can watch the pay per views?

Speaker 6 (56:03):
Oh wow?

Speaker 12 (56:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 17 (56:05):
And I got me a title. I sent you guys
a picture. I got me a five hundred dollars title too.
I replica of the belt. Yeah, I wear it all.

Speaker 16 (56:14):
I wear it around.

Speaker 17 (56:15):
My wife really tries to control me because I really
want to wear it to like the kids, to school everywhere.

Speaker 6 (56:20):
Yeah, you should be like out to dinner or like
on a date or something. I'd be sweet.

Speaker 17 (56:24):
Okay, I'm going to play this for her, because shouldn't
I shouldn't I be able to wear it?

Speaker 6 (56:29):
I'll tell you why, because you will. You will meet
people that feel like you do, and you will make
new friends right away and you look sure.

Speaker 17 (56:37):
Yeah, and I have a T shirt for every wrestler.
I listened to all the podcasts these guys do with
the wrestlers.

Speaker 14 (56:42):
I'm super oupsessed.

Speaker 2 (56:42):
Yeah, who's your favorite wrestler?

Speaker 17 (56:45):
Seem Punk huge right now?

Speaker 3 (56:48):
You know I worked out with him one time?

Speaker 17 (56:50):
Did you really have his numbers?

Speaker 11 (56:52):
Deal?

Speaker 19 (56:52):
No?

Speaker 3 (56:53):
I was at the gym.

Speaker 2 (56:55):
It was it was supposed to be a group workout
and the other five guys didn't show up. But it
just meet him and I didn't know who he was
till after they had explained to me. But I had
to google him. Se him punk and he's very tough,
very tough guy.

Speaker 17 (57:06):
Oh, let me tell you what. He came back in
November a couple of years, like Maydi a year or
two ago, and I seriously was so shocking. I'm so
upset with my family because nobody recorded my reaction. I
dropped to my knees. My knees were brused because I
was so excited he was back after ten years, Like
I'm that crazy free here.

Speaker 3 (57:24):
Came from something else. He came from like UFC or
something right.

Speaker 17 (57:28):
He was a wrestler first, then he decided that he
wasn't going to work for that company. He left USC,
left to another wrestling company, and then came back home.
And now I'm excited and I'm waiting like clockwork to
see when they're coming here. I live in Idaho, in
the middle of nowhere. So here's the other commitment. I
literally have to travel three to four hours to go

(57:49):
see a show. I either have to go to Boison
or a Salt Lake city. U taught to make it.
And I sit there and I take my whole family,
where it's six of us, we all go, we all
get a T shirt. It's it's embarrassing, but.

Speaker 2 (58:01):
You know that's a good one. Dais, Thanks for sharing
that you perfect example. Have a great day, and thank
you for listening.

Speaker 17 (58:08):
Thank you, babe.

Speaker 2 (58:09):
Bye eight seven seven ninety three, seven one to four.
So I've been share with us something that you do
as adult and it could be embarrassing, but you don't care.
No better example than dais wearing her WWE championship belt
around when she is not a wrestler.

Speaker 5 (58:21):
It's awesome.

Speaker 7 (58:24):
