Speaker 1 (00:00):
John Jay and Rich.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
The text line you text jj R whatever's on your
mind to nine six eight ninety three yesterday.
Speaker 1 (00:11):
I think it was Crystal. Crystal, Crystal, did you call
us yesterday about the Lost Bus? I did?
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Yes, Okay, did anyone here watch The Lost Bus since
we talked to Crystal?
Speaker 1 (00:19):
Not yet I did. It's on my list of things
to watch. So one of the things Crystal said, she
it's based on a true story. Right, do you remember that?
Speaker 2 (00:26):
Yeah? So Crystal, I watched it, and not only is
it based on a true story, we've raised money. This
happened was the Paradise Fires. It was in Chico and
reading those fires like you had, we made it. We
made a love up shirt and then raised money for them.
Like I was like, oh my god, I would like you.
Felt connected to it, very connected to it, so much
so that I tracked down the guy that Matthew McConaughey plays.
(00:50):
His name is Kevin. Yeah, I'm trying to get he's
a teacher. Now, not gonna route it for you, but
he was. He's in the beginning of this movie. This
dude has probably the worst twenty four hours, Am I right?
Speaker 1 (00:59):
Chris?
Speaker 3 (01:00):
Seriously, seriously, the worst twenty four Hours ever.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
Matth mcconaugh hates divorced from his wife, his father just
died two months ago. He has a horrible relationship with
his son. And then he goes into work. He can't
get extra hours because he has to pay for stuff.
He's trying to get extra shifts, he can't. He goes home,
he has to go put down his dog. Oh, it's terrible, right,
And this is on the first five minutes, and then
there's this fire and he's got all these kids in
the bus and he's got to get them from the
elementary school to safety, and that whole episode that holds
(01:27):
him trying to like, I want to talk to him
because I want to know how Outland issues the movie
or is it real?
Speaker 1 (01:32):
And also how do they film that? Because it looks
so real. Those fires look real, right, Like me and.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
My husband were talking about it. It feels like two
different stories are happening because you're worried about them on
the bus, the kids and the driver and the teacher,
but then you're also worried about his family and like
what's happening with them. There's just so much going on
and it's so realistic, like it's oh god, yeah, that's
why I said my butt cheeks were clinched.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
And they show you how the fire started.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
They show you exactly how the fire started, and at
the very end they give you updates on what happened
on how everything was taken care of, which is interesting
because I know they just caught the guy that started
the fires in the palisades.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yeah right, and that guy did.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
It on purpose, Yeah he did this was this is
an accident the way this happens. But it's it's pretty crazy,
all right. So then I said, you guys should watch
Play Dirty with Mark Wahlberg.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Did you watch that, Crystal?
Speaker 3 (02:19):
I did watch that, and like, what a crazy action movie.
You know what's so funny is I literally messaged you
that my son plays drums and the kid that was
playing drums in the room like all happy.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
That made me laugh.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
So hard because I just thought of my sixteen year old,
like if somebody came through the window, he would just
be drumming on his drums, just happy as can be, like.
Speaker 4 (02:39):
No worries in the world.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
But that movie was awesome, like such an action pack movie.
Mark Wahlberg is so good. Just loved it, And I
told you, like the last two nights we've been watching
these movies. And I'm the type of person I can
fall asleep. I have sleep at me. Once I put
my mask on, I'm out. I'm over here with my
like dark mate Vader mask on and can't fall asleep
(03:01):
having all this air breathing in me. And I'm like,
what is my life? Like? This is too and if
I take it off, I'll pass out and then I
won't have my mats on and that's not good.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
That's good.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
It's like it's terrible, But yeah, it was worth it.
It was worth it.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
Is your son awake right now.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
He's actually at school. I just dropped him off, and
I told you they're about to go on a cross
country trip, and I hope you guys will let me
shout him out because he's about to do a meet
tomorrow and it's one of their biggest meets in Grand
Junction and he's so nervous because he wants to get
a new personal record. And I told him positive thoughts,
Just speak positive thoughts to yourself.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
You've got this.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
You're going to kick that courses.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
But all right, well, next time he's home, I think
be cool to have him play drums on the air.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
We haven't had drums solong showing a long time.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
Oh yeah, he loves the drums. He's in a band
right now and he does guitar and drums and he
just loves it. And he's going to be so excited.
His name's Austin that I'm talking about him on the
show because he loves you guys so much. We listen
to you guys every day and we're always like, we
missed quick, quick, Quick. I told you like.

Speaker 1 (04:19):

Speaker 3 (04:24):

But I feel like even just talking to you guys,
like I'm shaking in my anxiety, Like I get so
nervous because I love you guys so much, so I
bet I could probably mess up on the games, but
maybe not.

Yeah what happened. Yeah, so I've seen the movie cover
on on like the streaming channels, and I think that
was a fire that my family was actually in. We
live right there on the side of Mount Shasta and
reading and this is like in the early eighties.
Speaker 1 (06:39):

he really that good looking?
Speaker 1 (07:18):
You know what I mean? It's bus drivers, but then
the real life bus driver is really good looking. Yeah,
so it's like it works. It works anyway.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
The other day, Peyton was talking about overhearing her mom
and dad talk about you.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
Right, yeah, you hung up on the phone.

They're talking mess about me be I'm.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
My mac and they did not They didn't hang up
the phone, so you heard the whole thing. So we
wanted to know, like, what did you overhear, Olivia, good morning?
What did you overhear?
Speaker 5 (07:43):
Well?
Speaker 6 (07:43):
I overheard my mom talking on the phone, but I
was like in front of her, so she's talking to
like her friends or like my aunts or whatever. But
she would like face up even like to her umployer,
like oh, I can't come in because my child's sick.
And I'm being like, oh no, who's sick? And shooted
off of this phone and she's like, oh if anybody
asked because you're sick.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
You better cover for your mama, or.
Speaker 6 (08:10):
Like she would also say stuff that like didn't even happen,
and she's all like oh yeah, you know, like we
went to the store and then you know, we saw
some girl, you know, acting up and whatever, and then
I told my kids like, oh you better not act
like that. And I'm like, when did that happen? I'm
like like she would get off with the phone and
(08:30):
I'm like, what were you talking about? And she's like,
oh nothing. I'm like, I just heard you, like you
were saying that we did this and that didn't even happen.
And she's like, oh, you don't remember, and I'm like,
I was there. I remember. She would say like, oh
so AND's sick. You know, like when me or my
brothers whatever, like oh, yeah, they got in school. They
got in trouble at school. They were fighting somebody, And
(08:52):
I'm like, when did we fight somebody? And I would
talk to my brother and like.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
Did you get in trouble school? Did did you fight somebody?
Speaker 3 (08:58):
And he's like no.
Speaker 6 (09:00):
I'm like, what's the mom telling everybody? She's creating her
own entertainment in her head.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
Olivia, Thank you so much, Cheryl? What did you overhear? Cheryl?
Speaker 2 (09:12):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (09:12):
Sorry, I was nervous.
Speaker 5 (09:15):
So my mom had texted my sister, well, she was
meaning to text my sister, but she actually texted me
talking crap about me because I was supposed to give
her a ride to school or to work, and my
husband took my car instead of his car. So when
she looked out the window, she saw my car gone
and she was just like, I can't believe your sister
(09:37):
did this.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
She was supposed to take me to work today. What
is wrong with her?
Speaker 5 (09:41):
And she sent me the message instead of my sister
And you're still there too. Yeah, And she was living
with me, so she was on the couch. I was
in my bedroom and I was like, I was like,
do I text her?
Speaker 6 (09:52):
Do I confront her?
Speaker 2 (09:53):
Like?
Speaker 3 (09:54):
What do I do?
Speaker 6 (09:55):
And of course I was mad, so I actually confronted her.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
Hilarious, that's overread, not overheard option.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
Thanks Cheryl John Jay.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
Do you remember when you and we were in a
ten star Tacos, the fabulous taco place Alas and we
heard this lady talking about leaving her husband and how
many cars she wanted to take with her.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
She using the booth right next to.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
Us and lay that the whole plan and we walked
we walked over and they were still going at it.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
I mean, it was like the whole plan. It was
just crazy over hearing there's an Instagram account. My sister
told me and I follow it now. It's called overheard
in LA. Have you heard it? No, have you seen it?
Speaker 2 (10:36):
So it's literally this account that posts things that people overheard,
and it is unbelievable. It's not it's I mean, it's
a lot of actors and how vain they are, and
there's a lot of people in the neighborhood and this
couch is post it's called overheard in LA.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
Check it out. Well, that could be an obsession here. Yeah,
totally
