Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, NICKI, what's going on?

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Hey, how's it going good?

Speaker 1 (00:02):
What's up? Good?

Speaker 3 (00:04):
So I was listening is a while ago when you
were talking about, you know, potentially being picked to be
on the jury, and that brought up a memory of mine,
so I kind of wanted to share that.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Okay, what happened a long time ago.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
I got picked to be on the jury, and it
was whether or not this guy they got was on
like a like a high speed chaste kind of thing
through you of a threw out a gun from his
window and it was his My mom worked for the
City of Tucson at the time, so she knew I
was obviously like on the jury, so she came and
said in on it. And then when we broke for lunch,

(00:37):
I went with her, you know, down the escalator, down
the elevator to lunch, and one of the family members
of you know, the guy, saw us, you know together,
So I guess she went to her lawyer and said, hey,
I think one of your jurors is talking about the case,
and you know you're not supposed to do that.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
So we each got brought in separately.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
I didn't know that my mom got called in as
well to the judges chambers. But I got called into
the judges chambers. There's like, you know, like a bare
head on the wall and deer and all this stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
It's like a crazy like what you see on TV.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
The two lawyers were there and they were questioning.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Me if I had seen or know anybody in you know,
like sitting in on the case. And I lied and
they said, no, don't.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Know, like you don't know, like a blonde hair, she's
wearing a fanny pack because at the time she wore
fanny packs all the time. I'm like, no, I have
no idea what you were talking about. And then my
mom got questioned too, and I had no idea.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
And she said no, she didn't know anyone on the jury.
So anyway, you know, the whole case goes on. We
find him guilty, and his whole side of the family
like stood up and started screaming at us and yelling
and crying and like it was crazy, And you know,
it ended up like a couple of weeks later, we
got a handwritten note from the judge stating like he

(01:52):
was so sorry for that happening and never happened in
his courtroom before. It was crazy.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
You guys, lied. That's yeah, well that's hardcore. We did
and it's not like you lied like for something brutal.
I mean, how did your mom know to lie for you?
Because she's your mom? Ry when I'm glads my daughter.
I was watching her jury duty, like, you have.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
No idea how it worked out that way. It just
somehow like worked or were just like nope, don't know
who you're talking about. And like when we talked, like
when we got together after it, she was.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
Like, oh my god, did you get pulled in? Like, yeah,
did you get pulled in? They're like, what'd you say?

Speaker 2 (02:25):
I was like, I said, I didn't know you. She's
like I said the same thing. What crazy?

Speaker 1 (02:28):
I don't know how we did it gone sideways.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
But mother and daughter are just lying to a judge
without talk. But I was talking to each other, just
like if you would have said, yeah, my mom was here,
she was just my daughter. Would they have called a
mistrial where they'd just got new new jurors, What do
you think would have happened?

Speaker 3 (02:42):
I don't know, Peyton's the criminalist there. I don't know
what would happen. Yeah, I mean probably they would probably
have to get a whole new jury, Yeah, because it
would be compromised at that point.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Right, Does this mean that your dad knows nothing that's
going on in your life? Because you guys have both
got the scam on them.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
They have.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
My dad's no longer here. He killed himself a while ago.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
So man, oh, way to go, rich Rich All question
question gets me in trouble every time.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
NICKI Ni Nicky with a good sense of humor about.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
It, though, you know, just laughing my way through all
my you know, troubles and way.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Hey, so the guy in your heart of hearts, I
mean he was guilty, right, I mean it wasn't like
right the guy okay.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
Yeah, one hundred percent. I mean it was a long
time ago, so I don't remember exactly what brought us
to that, but we were only you know, in like
deliberation for about twenty thirty minutes, and like we told him,
we were like, hey, we're ready, and they're like, let's
hold out a little bit because it's been really short,
like let's just chill in here for a little while.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
So we're like, okay, but yeah, I mean we just
fell Done'm guilty right away.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Wow, what a great story. Thanks for sharing that, Nicky.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Yeah, Yeah, you're welcome.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Wait wait, wait, we got to get your number in
case we ever need a good liar.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
I'll do it.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Okay, what were you gonna say? You say something, I
was just gonna say that.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
I'm gonna say Nikki that I used call him all
the time.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
I lived in Japan.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Sounds so good. Verizon, where do you live.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Now, San Antonio?

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Very similar to the Japan from what I understand, very.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Similar, same sushi and everything.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Yeah, Nikki, thanks for listening. Have a great day.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
