Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Jacer's rolling red light is glowing. Mario Courtney Lopez here
to get you over the hum fun show plan. Today
We're going to be playing Name that Tune with some
of the best soundtrack hits in movie history.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
We've also got a new case in Courtney's court, and
we'll share your comments too. But I'm next our good
Deed of the Week. You're on with Mario and Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Y'all Mario Courtney Lopez. Every week we celebrate someone who's
done a good deed. Who are we putting in the
spotlight today?

Speaker 3 (00:28):
James Dunne. He is from outside of Akron, Ohio. He's
a delivery driver for East of Chicago Pizza, but he
lives in Akron, Ohio. Last week he dropped off a
pie to an elderly woman. He noticed that her yard
was getting a little out of hand. I cannot work
under these circumstances. Last week, he dropped off a pie
to an elderly woman, and he noticed that her yard

(00:50):
was getting a little out of hand. So when he
wrapped up his shift, he came back with his truck
and a lawnmower. He cut the grass weed whacked.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
These senior folks oftentimes lived by themselves. Maybe her husband
is no longer with her and she can't afford maybe
a maintenance guy. So that was so nice. That was
very very sweet.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Well, Mario Lopez will be right back borow.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Courtney Lopez here and Jason and Travis Kelsey are taking
their podcasts all the way to the bank. They just
signed one hundred million dollar deal for four years to
bring their show New Heights to Amazon. The show one
Podcast of the Year at this year's iHeart Podcast Awards. Dang,
if you're just Taylor Swift adjacent, you're winning in life
right now.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
I think she just has the magic touch.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Evidently, don't forget. You can listen to this show as
a podcast and we're funnier. Just search on with Mario. Y'all, Mario,
Courtney Lopez. Let's take a look at what's on TV today.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
Netflix premieres Worst ex Ever. It's a true crime series
about the most chilling betrayals and murder plots.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
I see if any of my exes are on there.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Hulu debuts after Baywatch Moment in the Sun, a documentary
about the rise and phenomenon of the Icon series.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
I interviewed Nicole Eggert recently about this. Who really Nicole
Eggert and Alyssa Milano where every boy's crush around my
age and generation and bless her heart, she's battling cancer
right now and really and really going through it. But
she says the doc is pretty, uh fascinating.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Interesting. We should put it on in the drawer, on
the sink, on the sink, in the drawer. NBC airs
Toby Keith American Icon Attribute with special performances from Luke Bryan,
Carrie Underwood, Jelly Rolle, Reba McIntyre, and more.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Nice jeral Mario, Courtney Lopez. Time to dish out of
common sense justice All rise. Courtney's Court is now in session.
Today's case comes from at Carney Maria and she says,
I can't complain about my boss except for one thing.
He dresses way too casual for business meetings. Last week
he showed up in a basketball jersey and the client

(02:56):
made a joke about it. I felt embarrassed for him.
Is it out of line to sit him down and
tell him to be more professional?

Speaker 3 (03:02):
No, you don't say anything like you what do you care?
You make sure you're taken care of you are dressed
for the part, and don't worry about him. He's obviously
doing fine. And if he's producing the work that needs
to be done, then what does it matter?

Speaker 2 (03:18):
What the key word there is boss, it's your boss.
Then you should chow those your employee than different actions.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
And if he's on a different answer slacks with the
basketball jersey, that's business casual.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Mario Lopez, coming up.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Mario Courtney Lopez. Here we find something to celebrate every day.
What is today's holiday, honey?

Speaker 3 (03:37):
It is National bow Tie Day.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
I only rock a bow tie when it comes to
the Academy Awards because I feel like I addressed it
up just a little bit, and I like the old school,
bigger ones. And if you can actually tie it and
then let it hang Dean Martin style later on, then
that's cool. But other than that, I don't like to

(04:00):
rocket because then I feel like a valet. So only
Academy Awards neckties other than that, But you know what,
I guess I could rock it today, Mario Courtney Lopez.
Here was a quick buzz for you. Kate Winsled has
landed the lead in another TV series. Oh we love
when she does these This one's called The Spot from Hulu.
She plays a surgeon whose husband suspects that she may

(04:22):
be responsible for a child's hit and run death. Ooh,
good concept.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
That is a good concept. Not a good thing. But
her most recent series were HBO's The Regime and Mayor
of Easttown, which earned her an Emmy. We love that one.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Yes, did we see the Regime? We may have to
go back and watch that. I haven't seen that.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
I've seen the promo for it or the trailer. Forda
good looks really, Oh no, we have to see that.
She plays like a dictator or something.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
What Oh, that's right, hence the Regime. All right, let's
get back to the music right now, yore Marik Courtney Lopez.
Time for today's birthday shout out. Let's try to guess
the ages. Honey, boo boo. Alana Thompson would have been stepdaughter. Yep,
still cold.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
She is twenty two.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
She that old? She was like eight when we met her.
Was j or six ten?

Speaker 3 (05:09):
Maybe don't know because.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
I'm gonna say she's twenty one nineteen, Okay, so she
was younger, younger.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
Jason Priestley from Beverly Hills nine two one O fifty four,
fifty five, fifty five is correct. Five Grammys in her
house Shania Twain Shanaia is.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
That's me, that's you. Go ahead, trust me, watch.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
What is happening right now? Shanaya is fifty eight.

Speaker 4 (05:35):
Fifty seven, fifty nine, fifty nine and from the White
Lotus American Pie Best in Show. Jennifer Coolidge lovers the best.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
You laugh just when you hear her name.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
See her because there's something weird like she looks uncomfortable,
but it looks like in a funny way.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Her delivery is so funny too. Jennifer Coolidge is sixty one.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
She's a cool sixty four.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Or Mario Lopez coming up, y'o almar Courtney Lopez. And
I was reading this poll from women and the data
is pretty icy. Evidently, almost fifty percent of women have
a backup plan in mind in case their relationship fails.
I actually thought the percentage would be hired. To be
quite honest, married women are even more likely to have
a plan B. Is that right? For about twelve percent

(06:25):
of the ladies, their feelings were planned B were actually
stronger than their current partner. What the most common plan
bes are an ex boyfriend, an ex husband, a colleague,
or a friend from the gym? Honey, is there a
plan B? You got a friend? Is there a plan B?

Speaker 3 (06:40):
First of all, I would rather shoot myself in the
foot than go back with an ex chad. No, heck no,
I couldn't even imagine myself with anybody else. I don't
even want to imagine myself with anybody else.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Good answer.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
No, it's I'm serious.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Mario Lopez will be right back.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Mario Courtney Lopez here, and prayers go out to Mariah
Carey and her family. God bless her. She lost her
mom and her sister on the same day over the weekend.
That's a lot. Tributes have been pouring in from all
over the entertainment world. Can you imagine?

Speaker 3 (07:19):
I cannot imagine. I mean, what are the odds of that?
And we still don't know why? Correct?

Speaker 2 (07:25):
Oh no, but of course we're sending nothing would love
her way. You can see what people are saying over
at Alomario dot com. Mario Courtney Lopez here. Twenty three

(07:48):
days until we kick off the Iharato Music Festival, and
there's something for everyone in the lineup. If you like
pop divas, we got dua lipa Camila Cabello and Deljaquet and.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
If you like a rock and on Sernative, we got
the Black Crow, Hosier and Chris Martin from Coldplay. If
you want throwbacks, we've got The New Kids and Gwen Stefani.
Just tune into Hulu on September twentieth and twenty first,
or buy tickets at I'm with Mario dot com and
we'll see you in.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Vegas, Mario Courtney Lopez Here, let's put a spotlight on
my wife and it's time for Courtney's random thought. What
you got, honey?

Speaker 3 (08:18):
All right? So we see a lot of Dodger games,
But isn't it weird that every baseball park is a
different size. That would be like if every basketball court
had a different size hoop.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Well not exactly, because the seating right the diamond itself
is the same in every court. It's the outfield which
is different. Dodger Stadium is considered a pitcher friendly park,
so to hit home runs out of there is difficult,
as opposed to like Fenley Park in Boston that's a
hitter friendly park because the Green Monster is a lot closer,

(08:49):
so that's a little more susceptible to home runs the
diamond itself.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
Oh why wouldn't it be one specific size.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
It just varies. Well everything specific pictures. Mound to home
play is exactly ninety feet, and it's the same that
way all the way from first base, second base, all around.
What's different is the outfield. That's where it varies. But
we're talking like ten, fifteen, twenty, But those are big
differences in home runs. And yeah, no, so if you
hit home run out of Dodger Stadium, you're cracking it,

(09:19):
Yamar Courtney Lopez. Let's get to your comments. What'd you find?

Speaker 3 (09:22):
And I mentioned Sonny, this is from DMT Christina three
six nine, and she said, does anyone tell your guests
to cross their legs on set? I've never seen someone
man spread as much as sam As Gary.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Yeah, DMT Christina three six nine is talking about sam
Asgari being a guest on my show Access Daily. I
didn't really notice the man spread. But I know what
you're talking about because I've seen shows where the way
they shoot us with the couch, it's right right like
below the knee, and so if you're if you're not

(09:55):
crossing your legs, it looks a little funny. It looks
a little funny. I'm gonna be cognizant of that.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
Get us up on Twitter, Get on with Mario and
hang on more.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Mario Lopez on the way, Mario Courtney Lopez. Here we
got your first look at the new documentary about the
late actor Christopher Reeve that's called super slash Man. It
shares the story of his rise from an unknown actor
to one of the first big screen superheroes. To me,
he's my generation. He'll always be Superman, Nope, the ultimate Superman.

(10:26):
And I'm sure this is going to be gut wrenching
to watch.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
Absolutely Plus it shows his transition into activism after his
paralyzing horse riding accident. It's coming to theaters on September
twenty first, but you can see the trailer now at
On with Mario dot Com.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Mario Courtney Lopez. Here was some quick buzz for you.
Tommy Richmond's song million Dollar Baby is pretty much TikTok
song of the summer. Our son loves all of Tommy
Richmond's songs. Got to memorize. And now we've got details
of his debut album.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
That's right, it's called Coyote and it's coming out on
September twenty seventh, you can listen to the latest single,
Devil is a Lie. I mean iHeart Radio.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
Amaro Courtney Lopez. Time for one last thing. O. J.
Simpson's children have done something unique with his remains. They
turned his ashes into cremation jewelry. Each of the four
kids got a trinket. They're typically bracelets or necklaces with
a miniature earn. Oh honey, what do you think about
this for the future?

Speaker 3 (11:25):
You know this is this is a sweet gesture some
people I would like that, I don't think.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
Would you like it? You wouldn't want our kids to
have a little piece of us? No, well they're gonna
have your ashes. No, we're getting buried. I told you
we're getting busied.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
I'm not getting buried. It's my it's in my.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
State going before me, so of course you can get buried.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
It's in my estate plan. You have to do what
I said. No, because I know how much if I
am in the ground, I will come back to life
and seriously, like you will not be happy. You won't
be happy away. Don't but listen, No, no, no, I
I know how my kids are with jewelry, and they
lose it. I don't need that. I don't need them

(12:08):
losing me Walmart, and that's where I end up.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
That's a good point. That's a good point. No, I
promise you. This bracelet is Mario Lopez.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
More, Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (12:19):

celebrate Throwback Thursday.
