Speaker 2 (00:32):
Oh, Mario Courtney Lopez. Can't believe it's almost at the
end of August. Already kids going back to school. And
as they go back, quick reminder to thank all the
amazing teachers for all that they do both in and
out of the classrooms.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
That's right, Thank a teacher today and they could even
get five thousand dollars to stock their classrooms this fall
powered by donors. Choose help us say thank you to
the educators shaping our future. On with Mario dot Com
slash teachers to nominate your favorite teacher.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Right now, y'all, Mario Courtney Lopez. Music rolls on, so
get ready to make a stop in the Cortos corner.
Any clues? What you got for us today?

Speaker 3 (01:07):
Honey? The clue is the perfect pre workout snack.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Okay, that's the clue. Back to find out what that
is next? First, more music, keep you the music in
fun coming your way as we make a quick stop
into Cordo's Corner. Mario Courtney Lopez, here, what are we
talking about today?

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Honey, the perfect pre workout snack. That was your clue,
and here we go. If you need a boost of
energy before you hit the jam, which I need it
before and after, forget those energy bars. Experts say, grab
a banana. I've been doing this unconsciously, like this is
what I do.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
I don't like the.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Conscious you'd be in sleep doing this. No, I'm a
lot subconsciously.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
Actually, maybe she's doing it unconsciously too, might doing it.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
You know, I do a lot of things.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
I'm not aware how many I've been doing this in constantly.
You've been sleep walking grabbing bananas. I too, grab a banana.
Although I'm very conscious I.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Do okay, I titians say they're loaded with potassium, vitamin B, six,
vitamin C and more. Or you can get creative with
them too, add them to cereal or oatmeal, peanut butter,
toast smoothies, or just peel andy. You know what our
daughter has been doing, what putting them in the freezer
and then just eating them like that.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
That's kind of tasty too.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
It's very good.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
More Mario Lopez coming up omorow, Courtney Lopez, more music
coming your way. As Quardo breaks down what's new on
TV and streaming.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Netflix begins streaming season two of Barbie Mysteries. The new
season follows Barbie Malibu Roberts and Barbie Brooklyn Roberts as
they solve mysterious thefts and find missing friends at the
Malibu Beach Bash Festival.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
I was not familiar with Barbie Mysteries and not to
be confused with the dome Barbarie, but I get it.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Netflix also has season two of My Life with the
Walter Boys. This season, Jackie returns to the Walter Ranch
after a summer in New York City and attempts to
reconnect with Alex while setting clear boundaries with Coal AMC
Plus has a series premiere of Kidnapped The Chloe Ailing Story,
a six part crime thriller series detailing the true story

(03:11):
of a British model, Chloe Ailing, who was drugged and
abducted in Milan in twenty seventeen, held for six days,
and then faced intense public skepticism and accusations of faking
her ordeal after her release. Man, we just we keep
seeing all these things that people think.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
So you well, ironically, your biggest fear is being accused
of a crime you didn't commit. What about a crime
that did happen and no one believes you? That's almost
just as bad. That's true, That's equally terrible. Mario Courtney Lopez. Here,
quick look at the buzz. If you're a fan of
the Wizard of Oz, you might want to hop a
flight to Sin City. Classic Film is teaming up with

(03:50):
a Sphere in Vegas for a new Wizard of Oz
immersive experience. So that's pretty cool. They've got incredible technological
capabilities that are going to make audiences feel like they're
a part of doors these journey to Oz. They say
you'll feel the motion of the tornado and other events
in the film. The seats provide haptic feedback, so they
start shaking and vibrate. Yes, environmental effects like custom sense

(04:11):
and wind are used as well. We should check it out.
A lot of Wizard of Oz stuff happening as of late.
I took our little sheet here from radio to put
on the dresser because we're.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
Going to sink.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
The dog on the Ruby slippers being stolen called Ruby
red Handed and check that out. Mari Lopez. Another must
watch doc to tell you about. And this one is
just truly unbelievable, the truth legitimately unbelievable. Correct, it's called
The Truth about Jesse Smolette question mark and the question

(04:48):
mark is key because I'm a little speechless. We saw that, well,
I saw the doc. My wife fell asleep it.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
Because she's so in love with you, she can't.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Right after we did.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
I know.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Here's the thing. Jesse Smollett was tried, convicted, and he's
now out. However, he is still sticking to his story
talking about two white dudes that were screaming this is
Maga country in the middle of a polar boarder text
mind you at like two am and beat him up
and had the news and you know the rest of
the story. He's still sticking to that, even though there's

(05:24):
two guys who have already been arrested and have confessed
to Jesse paying them off them going to the site
of the subway.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
By the way, he knew them.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
He knew them, there was a history.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
One of them was trainer.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
The police actually had proof of tracking the one Uber
driver that drove into the area because I was driving
to the area was like twenty five below zero. The
one Uber driver that drove into the area and the
one car that went back it belonged to those two
brothers exactly at the time. How do you explain.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
That it's kind of unbelievable that even after everything we know,
all the evidence that's been presented, there's like internet sleuths
that just sie Fields are literally helping him prove his case,
but everything they say gets disproven.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Yes, these are these two guys, these two people that
think they're armchair detectives and try it. They're embarrassing themselves.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
Can I tell you what shocked me the most out
of this, Well, the parts that I stayed up for.
How is there a polar vortex and subway managers are
like get in here, make this foot long it's way.
I don't I don't understand.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
It was open and there were actually a couple.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
Of people they know. That's I was more shocked about.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
But if you know other people in that footage in
that subway, they were all wearing like uniforms or some
sort or somebody because they were workers.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
They were workers, correct.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
My favorite thing that he said in that entire documentary,
other than all the lies he told, was when towards
the end when he said, look, you can hate me,
all my flaws, all my greatness.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Oh my greatness, he said that, you said that the
interview with Robin Roberts. Wow, it is the whole Thing's
is mind blowing?

Speaker 1 (07:05):
More Mario Lopez on the way We'll.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Up your old Mario Courtney Lopez and earlier in Cordo's Corner,
we talked about the perfect pre workout snack being a banana. Well,
you might be surprised what health experts are saying is
the perfect post workout snack? Forget I know what it is.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
Is it a banana?

Speaker 2 (07:23):
Forget smoothies? Forget all that they're saying chocolate milk? What
is an excellent post workout drink? Is your dad working
out in the middle of the night.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
I know.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Maybe here's why. The carbs in the natural protein combo
from both the milk and the sugar and the carbohydrates
replenish the glycogen that you have worked out right, and
it's great for muscle repair. Also, they're saying that chocolate
milk hits the ratio perfectly post workout in the electrolytes
and hydration. It contained sodium, potassium and fluids that help

(07:55):
you read hydrate, and not to mention, it's easier and
cheaper than most protein shakes. I thought that was a
joke and I initially read it, and I kept seeing
it everywhere in legitimate sources. I'm like, you know what,
I'm gonna start going with chocolate.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Well, we have it all the time because Dominic loves
it too. So I'm just what if we add protein
to the.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Chocolate milk, then I guess you're you're getting extra protein. Yeah,
you could do that, but you get a banana pre workout,
chocolate milk, post chocolate, you're good to go.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Chocolate covered banana stop next.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Level more Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
So this September, it's all going down in Sin City.
What I'm more on Courtney Lopez here, of course, I'm
talking about our twenty twenty five iHeart Radio Music Festival,
presented by Capital one September nineteenth and twentieth in Vegas
T Mobile Arena, two nights, one stage.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
This might just be the best lineup we've ever had.
Maroon five, Edge here and Brian Adams, Mariah Carey and
so many more. In the best part, while the world
is listening on iHeartRadio, you could be there seeing it
all live in person. iHeartRadio giving you three chances every
weekday to win a trip for two plus one thousand
dollars spend money. I'm with Mario dot Com Slash Festival

any obscure holidays to celebrate it.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
Is none other than National Power Rangers Day, celebrated every
August twenty eighth to commemorate the show's nineteen ninety three premiere.
Why does this show get a date to commemorate their
premiere other shows don't.

Speaker 4 (09:39):
Yeah, exactly, I think you can make whatever holiday you want.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
Go Go Power Rangers.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
You're a mark Courtney Lopez, quickly saying happy birthday to
a few celabs turning a year older today. As always,
Frasers gonna shout them out. We're going to try to

Speaker 4 (09:52):
Honey, booboo, honey boo boo. Alana Thompson, I think is
her name?

Speaker 3 (09:58):
Gosh? Is she she is twenty? Oh?

Speaker 4 (10:02):
Hey, boo boo, she is twenty. Armie Hammer from the
Man from Uncle. I think he's a cannibal.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
Yeah, we wouldn't get along because I don't eat meat.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
Well, he's been through it. Uh, Armie Hammer, I'm gonna say,
is forty two?

Speaker 3 (10:16):
He is a meaty forty five.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
Thirty nine, oh, thirty nine. Jack Black from School of
Rocks and HSD recently covered Britney Spears. Oops, I did
it again for Panda Kung Fu something.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
Yes, he's hysterical.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
Jack Black is turning fifty four, fifty.

Speaker 4 (10:36):
Three, fifty six, fifty six, twain She's still the one?

Speaker 3 (10:42):
And is she still the one for you?

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Is she? Shanaia is coming in fifty one?

Speaker 3 (10:50):
Shanaiah is twining? What turning?

Speaker 4 (10:57):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (10:58):
All right, good, it's good.

Speaker 4 (11:00):
Fifty seven sixty wow, sixty Jennifer Coolidge from the White
Lotus American Pie.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Jennifer Coolidge is legally blond sixth level sixty two sixty four. Wow.

Speaker 4 (11:13):

Speaker 2 (11:17):
Oh, Daniel Stern.

Speaker 3 (11:19):

Speaker 4 (11:20):

Speaker 3 (11:21):
Yeah, Daniel is Sterning. That was good, admit it.

Speaker 4 (11:28):
I gotta be honest. When I picked him earlier for this,
I thought that was going to happen, and I'm not disappointed.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
He's sixty five sixty nine, sixty eight.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
Oh, Mario Lopez will be right back.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
You're a Mario Courtney Lopez. More music coming your way
after some quick health buzz. Experts say we've got to
stop worrying. New research says eighty five percent of the
things we worry about never actually happened. End of the
fifteen percent of warriors that actually do take place, four
out of the five people say the challenge was not
as bad as they feared and actually easier to handle
then expected. This is it's very true, number one. But

(12:05):
it's easier than done. Oh yeah, it requires a discipline.
That's where you got to find some spirituality in your
life to help let go and let God.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
But you know, I'm around somebody who is constantly negative
about things before they even happen. So it has taught
me to not be that way. And you, honey, have
taught me to not sweat the small stuff. And you
always say, if something's going to happen, wait for it
to happen, and then you deal with it exactly. And honestly,
that is the really great advice. And I sometimes take

(12:40):
your advice and sometimes you give me good advice and
that I'll probably never say that again. But LTM, all.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
Right, a few more songs and I'm going to dig into
our mentions. Mario Lopez here love hearing from your questions, comments,

Speaker 3 (13:12):
This is from at Alissa Marie forty two and she said,
do you ever think about all the shady freaking places
you went when you were like fifteen or sixteen and
lie to your parents about and wonder how the heck
you actually are still alive and not buried in a
shallow grave.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Yes, girl, oh really, yes?

Speaker 4 (13:29):
Remember she went to that genuine concert in Myrtle Beach.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
Not just that I lived on a dead end. Okay,
literally a dead end. There was a very small cemetery
at the end of my right and below it, we're
just scared.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Cemetery is even scary.

Speaker 4 (13:44):
Yeah, that's more terribly like very tiny.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
It was like a call to sack, but of just
so behind it was a bunch of woods. The rumor
was there were devil worshippers down there, and for whatever reason,
we wanted to see that. Every towns that we wanted
to see them for ourselves. So I told my mom
I was sleeping at my next door neighbor's house. But
we really went down there and set up tents and

(14:10):
had knives, Like what were we going to do too?
I remember my friend's boyfriend was like, his name was Oliver,
I'll protect us, and I'm like, okay, But now I
look back, it's like, what was I thinking?

Speaker 2 (14:21):
Thanks Oliver?

Speaker 4 (14:22):
He protected her more.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
Mario Lopez coming up?

Speaker 2 (14:27):
All right, time to laugh. Maybe Mario Lopez here along
with my wife Courtney. He's got another mom joke for us.
All right, what you got?

Speaker 3 (14:34):
You know, the mountains aren't just funny.

Speaker 5 (14:37):
They're hilarys. Honey, the delivery. I'm always about the delivery.
You know the You know the mountains are just funny,
they're hilarias.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
They're a hilario. You love wordplay, I do love wordplay,
but you gotta understand the words. I know, you gotta
understand the words.

Speaker 3 (14:58):
There was more passion behind mine.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
But you need to articulate a little bit. See what
these jokes are? Turney in.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
I gave you a compliment before about giving advice, and
now you keep giving it.

Speaker 4 (15:07):

Speaker 3 (16:04):
The connection you form with them feels different.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
Yes, it does.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
Doesn't feel like your typical one. They can almost read
your mind.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
Okay, that doesn't.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
Can you read my mind?

Speaker 2 (16:15):
I can see? Yes, because yes I can, because I'm like,
what tell me? Just tell me what you can read?
I do?

Speaker 1 (16:21):
What did I do?

Speaker 3 (16:21):
Because I wear my heart on my sleeve and I'll
They help you grow as people. Yep, they quiet your
inner critic. I can feel the ugliest and genuinely look
the ugliest, and he will still tell me I'm beautiful
and I'm like, poor thing needs bigger glasses to get
and they help you move on. Mario did help me

(16:43):
move on from my ex Chad Chad in the sixth grade.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
Okay, you're welcome for Mario Lopez. You're on, Mario Courtney Lopez,

Oh, everything you need to know about Taylor Swift's engagement
to Travis Kelsey, including what Travis's brother Jason Kelsey had
to say, along with both celeb and fan reactions.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
I can't even imagine the countdown to the wedding before
that though, I can't even imagine the prenup that's going
to look like a like Harry Potter book.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
But you know what, both are successful, so just be.

Speaker 4 (17:22):
But she's more well.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
Clearly check out the adorable gift that MGK just bought
for his baby daughter, Saga Blade and why she and
why he says it's going to be so cute.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
He named his daughter an action hero villain or what?

Speaker 3 (17:39):
See when I think of Saga Blade, I think of
Saga Sega.

Speaker 4 (17:44):
You think of like Sega. You're thinking of Sega's going.
He's going to Saga Blade Fox. Remember he's an alien
or something. Yet he's not from here.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
And Chris Jenner is opening up about her recent facelift
and explains why it was time for refresh.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
You, Chris Jenny, if you can do it, then why not?

Speaker 3 (18:02):
Yeah, a great I know she looks amazing. I'm with
Mario dot com for all that and more.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
Almar Courtney Lopez. Almost time to pass the mic, but
not before we get to one last thing. Interesting situation
with a friend, and I want your advice. First of
more music, starting to wind things down for the night.
What I am, Mario Courtney Lopez. You're quickly squeezing in
one last thing. I mentioned this a bit ago, and
I want your advice on how to deal with something.
So I have a friend, he's our friend actually, and

(18:31):
he shall remain nameless. Really good guy, smart guy, a
rich kid. Very successful. Yeah successful comes from from from
a really wealthy family. And the reason I'm saying all
this is because the one big issue that I have
with him, not just me, all my friends, is that
he smells really bad. And I'm not trying to be

(18:51):
funny but keep bad. He stinks really really really bad,
so much so that it's disrespectful and it gives me
a headache.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
Is it a choice?

Speaker 2 (19:00):
I don't know if he just doesn't care, he's not aware.
But he's been with other girls. They've had to have
to tell him, and he's always smelled. And I hadn't
seen him in a while. And oh, so it was
like it hit you, hit it hit me, let the
Mike Tyson uppercut. Oh, it hit me so bad. And
then my friend and he was giving him a hug
to my friend, Toody. I could say his name. He
kept hugging him. He's like, dude, I got to either
burn these clothes or go home.

Speaker 4 (19:20):
Immedium, but he too bad, should burn anyway. That's a
whole other, separate, fast, terrible fashion.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
Your friend was doing well.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
Yes he needs to, but I'm trying to find wait,
hold on, I gotta find the text because everybody. Japan
unveiled a new cutting edge way to take a bath
where he basically walk in this pod and he showers
you for fifteen minutes a car wash. It's like a
car wash, And I said, I need this for blank asap.
Then pig Pen uh started coming in and they're like,

(19:51):
he went from big time to big time real quick.
He goes His smell bothered me so much. There was
absolute no excuse for that. My other friend said, the
stink is stuck on the dressing room chair and it's
Vinyl why, I mean everybody, he just goes on and on.
So they're like, they all said, Mario, you got to
have a talk with him. You gotta have a talk.

Speaker 4 (20:08):
Why do you have to be the one.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Because on you he's my friend that had brought into
You knew him first, So I don't know how that
conversation goes. I was, I was talking to Mark paul.

Speaker 4 (20:18):
A buddy who is He's not the stinky one.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
He's not the stinky one, and he goes bro. You
got to just kind of joke with him and be like,
hey man, what's the last time you touch water? Serious?

Speaker 4 (20:26):
Like make it a joke. At first.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
You got to be like a, I don't know, I
have this conversation.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
Then you unveil the banner and bring in everyone for
the intervention.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
Yeah, showers are not a priority for people. I don't understand,
but it's an issue if you had.

Speaker 4 (20:37):
To guess because I don't know that you know this.
Maybe you know, but if you had to guess, how
often do you think he actually takes a shower? Do
you think it's been weeks?

Speaker 3 (20:46):
Or is it his clothes that he doesn't want?

Speaker 2 (20:48):
Does what? I watched his clothes because I've traveled with
him before and he didn't shower that. I made him
go to your shower like a little kid. How you
take your kid, go tate, you have to go take
a shower. I made him and it is surprising because
he's a smart guy too. It's weird, so I have
to joke with him. I don't know how I'm gonna do.
I think there's a conversation that needs to be have.
He got an invite to our daughter's Kensoniana. I have
to do it before then, or else he's gonna sink

(21:08):
up whole place.

Speaker 4 (21:09):
Oh yeah, you go before that.

Speaker 2 (21:10):
You gotta do it.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
He's very green and he takes water. No, no, he's
conserving water.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
Really like, no, too far more Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
All right, that's gonna do it. Thanks so much for
hanging out on loriy dot com. Reled any and all
of our radio fun. We'll be back to do it
again tomorrow, that's right.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
Planning on a lot of fun stuff until then. This
is Mario and Courtney Gopez saying good night
