ahead of the big days, So let's get to some
fresh Turkey day hacks and cordos corner Marion Courtney Lopez.
Here what you got, honey?

Speaker 3 (02:25):
All right? Here are some helpful ways to make Thanksgiving
a lot easier on yourself. Use a grocery store salad
bar as your sou chef. It will shave hours off
your prep time by picking up ingredients from the supermarket
salad bar that are already cleaned and ready to go.
Think like you know your chopped onions, your trimmed beans,
your sliced bell peppers, your hard boiled eggs, and crumbled bacon.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
I will crumble my own bacon.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Mmm, I like having that all prepared.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Good tip use a corkscrew as a guest deflector what
I mean is to keep well meeting family and friends
out of the kitchen during the final flurry of cooking.
Come up with a few tasks they can do to help.
Opening the wine, filling water glasses have you which you
have placed outside of the kitchen obviously, hanging coats and

(03:17):
herding children will all be appreciated, and we'll keep them
out of your way. Hurt the children, I say, just.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
The the unquirking of the wine and filling it with
a glasses. That's a big help.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Happy holidays to you and yours. This is on with
Mario Lopez.

Speaker 5 (03:33):
We'll be right back.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
You're more, Courtney Lopez. All right, get ready to laugh
because Cordo's got a Thanksgiving mom joke for us. What
you got kid?

Speaker 3 (03:41):
Why did the pie go to the dentist?

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Why it needed a filling? Oh wow, I'm from a
quick one.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
I deserve you any good?

Speaker 2 (03:52):
All more, Courtney Lopez. Today's CELEBT birthday shout outs coming up.
Surely lots more music to play as well. In the meantime.
What obscure holiday are we celebrat?

Speaker 5 (04:00):
Honey?

Speaker 3 (04:00):
It is a National Absurdity Day, So it's a day
dedicated to embracing illogical and nonsensical things. It's a time
to acknowledge the absurdities and life through zany activities, bizarre statements,
or dressing in a whimsical outfit, or just watching Britney
Spears Instagram.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
Yes, or stomping out the silly conspiracies like we've never
been to the Moon that Kim Kardashian.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
And her sister wore questions.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
There's no questions. We had thousands of people working on it,
we had countries following it. I can't believe this is
even a discussion and the a lot of people.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
And the Earth is not flat, by the way, the
Earth is not flat.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Earth is not flat.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
But a lot of people are jumping onto this. We
didn't go to the moon thing. Like Kim Kardashian A
couple of other celebrities recently like, I feel like they
think it, for whatever reason, is like a trendy thing.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Do you think they just say it because they just want.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
To be in the I think some of them do.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
They don't care.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
You're all Mario Lopez quickly squeezed and in today's CELEBT
Birthday shout out. As always, Fraser is going to tell
us he's turning a year older and we're going to
try to guess the ages future. He's always living in
the future, so we don't know exactly what kind of age,
but exactly know what age is. I'm going to say future.
I'm gonna say future is forty three with his ten.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Kids in the future. I'm going to need you to
just say the age and get right to the point. Okay,
future is forty four forty two. Oh, why didn't go
up and not down?

Speaker 4 (05:33):
By the way, yesterday Mario got all of them one
age off.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
I don't believe it happened.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
He was against himself, so I wasn't here.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
That's true. He was fighting himself. One of the most
sarcastic people. Someone probably more sarcastic than me. Joel McHale.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
The soup one of my favorite things I've ever had.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
Was the best when he was on there.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Ummm, he is fifty two fifty four, fifty four is correct?

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Thought about that.

Speaker 4 (06:00):
Mike D from the VC Boys, Oh.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Mike D's got to be sixty two.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
He is sixty five sixty sixth level Bo Derek.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Bo is Derek ing into seventy.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
BO Derek who's married to John Corbett. Yes, cougar is
seventy one sixty nine. Uh, okay, okay.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
And finally from the Eagles, Joe Walsh.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Joe Walsh is coming in at seventy six.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
He is flying his way into.

Speaker 4 (06:38):
An Eagle seventy eight, seventy eights correct.

Speaker 5 (06:41):

lot of good movies. Watch almar Courtney Lopez quick reminder
The tomorrow Ed Sharon giving us an early holiday gift
over on Netflix. One Shot with Ed Sharon Really Cool
musical special filmed in a single continuous take as Ed
travels across New York City and performs his greatest hits.

(07:34):
One hour un scripted film captures him giving impromptu performances
on sidewalks and the subway for fans and passerbys that
obviously didn't know what was going on. So Sharon, I
feel like he started out that way. Actually, I think
he actually started out that way.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
He was like kind of a bus star.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
Right.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
Well, if he was a street performer, which I think
he was, then he's just like back to his old ways.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Circle full circle right there. One shot with Ed Sharon
hits Netflix tomorrow. Almarra dot I'm gon find out one.
You're a Mario and Courtney Lopez wasting no time and
getting right too. Courtney's random question, all right, what do
you got, honey?

Speaker 3 (08:11):
All right? If you could choose or design a new
balloon for the Macy Thanksgiving Day Parade, what would you pick?

Speaker 2 (08:18):
Well, they already chose something I was thinking of. They're
going to have the first ever French bulldog that was
real float. Yes, they're going to have a real French
bulldog float for the first time ever in the Thanksgiving
Day parade.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
So you should be on it.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
Oh okay, imagine I don't think you can ride a balloon,
but if there was a.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
Float, for sure that The countdown at Christmas continues in moments.
This is on with Mario.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
Lopez al of Mario Courtney Lopez reminding you about my
new holiday movie, The Christmas Spark, which is premiering Friday,
November twenty eighth, a day after Thanksgiving on Great American family,
and so happy with the way it turned out, and
we really pay homage and give a tip of the
hat to the firefighters and first responders out there, and

(09:02):
of course he DIDs all the family elements would love
and about family being important and coming together. And I
think it's really cool, right, honey.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
It's a great, great movie. And I'm not just saying
that because you're sitting across from me and I live
with you. It is probably in one of the top
three of your holiday movies you've ever done.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
Okay, should we have you pick the other two? Really quick?
Top three?

Speaker 3 (09:25):
Sure? Holiday and Yanko of course number one, that's just
classic and the one that we did My Girl.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
I agree that was a good one. A few more songs.
I'm gonna fire up zoom so we can talk with
today's guest actor Billy zaying, you're all with Mario and

(09:54):
Courtney Lopez. Billy's got not one, but two movies dropping.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
He joins us next with the scoop on those and
mores don't move.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
It's up, brod Mario Lopez joining me right now. Actor
Billy zaying, how are you, Billy well?

Speaker 5 (10:07):
Mario? How you been a long time?

Speaker 2 (10:09):
No see Yeah, nice to see you. That's right, that's right.
But I enjoy speaking with you because I'm really excited
about your new film called Deadly Vals, based on a
true story. Film sounds pretty intense. What's the premise, Actually,
it's not.

Speaker 5 (10:23):
A woman who escapes the Iran Iraq war, moves to
Los Angeles to Beverly Hills. I think she gets into
this sound and supportive relationship and some kids, and then
suddenly finds her husband's put a hit out on her.
She manages to survive that, and it's about her recovery
and fundamentally, the way she really heals from this insanity

(10:46):
and trauma is through the power of forgiveness. And that's
what attracted me to it. I play investigating an officer,
a detective who helps her through the journey, and it's
it's just something I felt that it had to be told,
and I had to throw in.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
Did you get to meet any of the real life
people her? Okay?

Speaker 5 (11:10):
And you know she's a kind of a producer and
bella and a co director, and it was very it
was it was really quite an amazing journey through the process.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
I have to say, that's awesome.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
Man.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Well, a lot more to talk about. To Hankti, We're
gonna more with Billy after a quick break.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Happy holidays to you and yours. This is on with
Mario Lopez.

Speaker 5 (11:33):
We'll be right back.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Get back to Billy zaying, who's hanging out on zoom
Mario Lopez here. We were just talking about you playing
a real person in one of your movies, and speaking
of real people, I love that you stepped into the
shoes of legend Marlon Brando for your film Waltzing with Brando.
I'm still really looking forward to seeing that and why
It's just bizarre how Unkenny looked just like him. What

(11:56):
was the makeup process like to make that transition?

Speaker 5 (11:59):
Thank you? Well, first you got you can see it
today we go hide on svo D. You can rent
it there today. We dropped, so the timing of this
interview is most fortuitous. Yeah, you can get it on
Amazon Prime or Apple or anywhere you buy and download
now rent Okay movies so you can rent it. Have
fun with that. Playing him was, you know, an incredible

(12:24):
treat and was as far as the makeup was concerned.
We we we created quite a few of his like
significant films, certainly The Godfather where he was wearing quite
a bit of makeup. We had the exact kind of
molds and appliances going there. That was a few hours
of makeup. The rest of the time was pretty much
a nose bump and a wig and you know, channeling him.

(12:47):
I guess you know.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
All right, Well, we got more Billies Ain't coming out
the first more music, Ala Maire Lopez catching up with
after Billy Zane and we were just talking about your
movie Waltzing with Brando And one of your kids was
in the film too, right.

Speaker 5 (13:01):
That's right. Both. One is a smaller role jumping on
a bed. You just wanted to do it and didn't
want any dialogue, and which was fine. But my daughter,
that would be Ga, My daughter Ava Zane plays Bernard
Judge's daughter, Sabrina, and uh yeah, what a natural, you know,
and did not need much kind of coaching. That was

(13:22):
improvising going toe to toe. We had a lovely scene together.
I like it.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
I have a daughter g as well. Yeah, it's a
great name. A little more music and then back with
more Billy's Ain't catching up with Billy's ay, and this
hour Mario Lopez here already talked about one of your
new movies. But you've also got another film on the
way called Takeover. You just starting alongside Quemo from Migos.
How was that?

Speaker 5 (13:45):
It was amazing, a little little action movie. I won't
say it's a buddy. You know, we're foils, but we're
you know, in a in a car escaping a lockdown
as kids. He's recently released a very celebrated driver doing
these kind of crazy takeovers around Atlanta, and we got

(14:09):
to run a gauntlet to get out, and I played
this mastermind who figures that the best time to pull
it a heist is during one such takeover because the
cops are pretty occupied. It's not just a cool plot,
it's the execution of this the directory, all of the
I guess it's beyond rotoscoping and animation and integrated animation

(14:32):
for since City, if you remember back in the day.
This is a very modern, really beautifully executed mix of
almost real live action and anime and overlay. So you're
going to see something you've never seen before. It's it's
really beautiful.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Nice man, that's awesome. A one more thing I want
to ask, but we got to take a quick break
and we're gonna come back and wrap it up.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
We do the full interview now on with Mario dot Com.
Holidays from the entire on with Mario fam That's just
fun coming.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
Up, wrapping up with Billy's saying you're all Mario Lopez
and just real quick, your first movie role was in
Back to the Future, which was forty years ago, and
to be part of that class that you played match
one of the kids in Bibs Gangs. Well, what do
you remember about your time on set there?

Speaker 5 (15:15):
It's crazy that it's that long ago. I know, we
just celebrated the anniversary, right, Yeah, first film in town.
I was eighteen. Wow, you know, Baptism by Fire was
here like two weeks.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
It was a heard of it landed, so wow, that's awesome.

Speaker 5 (15:30):
So I was like, okay, that's so it's always going
to be here. Figure that out quick. And then so
it was a bit of it was a it was
an education to work, you know back lot at Universal
with such great talent in that setting, you know, it
was a it was a playground. We were watching state

(15:52):
of the art technology being applied, motion capture, motion control,
robotic cameras. That was on part two, I guess. But
it was the industry at its height doing such a
kind of significant, very modern yet retro offering, but running
around Universal back lot with the other guys was just like,

(16:14):
you know, man, it was like camp for six months.
Doesn't get better than that.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Man, That's awesome.

Speaker 5 (16:20):
Really.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
I always enjoyed talking to you, my friend, and listen everyone.
Please be sure to check out Billy's new films Deadly
Vows and Waltzing with Brando, which are out now. Thanks

take carest you and your Gina.

Speaker 2 (16:35):

right after a quick digital pit stop at on Mario
dot com, so Quarto can tell us what's trending.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
Demi Levado hilariously calls out her Camp Rock character, saying
don't judge.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
Oh okay, funny look back.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
Yeah. Scandal at the Miss Universe competition is two judges quit,
a mid claim of secret jury deciding finalists.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
Yeah, a lot of drama and apparently the people in
Thailand were really mean to the ladies and some left.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
One of these executives had to resign for calling them
domin stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Is going on over there out of pocket.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
This is not out of pocket. That's one of my favorites,
says it.

Speaker 4 (17:21):
Should be scandals at this universe.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Yeah, and Billy Bob Thornton opens up about where he
stands with his ex Angelina Jolie. Today Interesting with Mario
dot Com for all that and more If you.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
Care, Albaro Courtney Lopez got another Word of the Year selection.
Cambridge Dictionary has dropped their choice for twenty twenty five.
They chose parasocial, which is all thanks to Taylor Swift.
They define parasocial as a connection that someone feels between
themselves and a famous person they do not know that
can even be ai. Okay, that's kind of odd. The

(17:54):
word has been around since nineteen fifty six, but Cambridge
says it became popular this year as a way to
describe out Taylor's fans held about our engagement to NFL
star Travis Kelce. That created a major surgeon searches for
the word on both Google and Cambridge's site. Oh, we're
just we're just going back and starting to learn words,
all right.

Speaker 4 (18:14):
I just I prefer six to seven.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
I'm parasocial.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
Happy holidays from the entire on with Mario fam more

new Wicked movie as well as her upcoming Eternal Sunshine Tour,
but maybe your last one for a while. During an
appearance on Amy Poehler's Good Hang podcast, which you can
find on the iHeart Radio app. By the way, Ariana

(19:12):
gave some insight into the tour and hinted that her
future is going to look different once she wraps it up.
She said she's excited to do the small tour, but
it might not happen again for what she described as
a quote long long, long, long time.

Speaker 5 (19:25):
Huh.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
The tour kicks off next June, and it goes through
augustolmri dot com to find out more. All right, Charalbarri
and Courtney Lopez. Almost time to pass the mic, but
not before we squeeze in one last thing. I know
we've been complaining a lot about it getting dark super
early now, So if you're filling that drag from losing
the early evening light after the time change, remember this.

(19:47):
It could always be worse. In Kayak, Alaska, which is
in the very northern tip of Alaska. Quiet Quiet Kayak
is what the locals call it. The sun has checked
out there for the next two months. Oh, they've slipped
into the deep polar night where the horizon stays dark

(20:08):
until late January. Can you believe that it makes our
early sense It's feel a little easier to handle when
someone else is living in peer twilight. Wow, that that
is very depressing.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
It is, But yet it's not like.

Speaker 4 (20:21):
I can pick it.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
Sure you'd be over it after a good night.

Speaker 3 (20:23):
I would love to go visit there for two weeks
and just sleep and just like.

Speaker 4 (20:28):
I mean, that would be good. You'd probably get tired
of it the same way that like it just unattended yeah,
it rained here for what five days? It was gloomy.
I'm good it was too much like we can't have
that here.
