Speaker 4 (00:42):
Good old State of California. Inspired by a heartwarming reunion
between a dog named Oreo and his owner during the
Los Angeles area wildfires, the state of California has signed
the Friends of Oreo Act, which takes its name from
the Pomeranian Who's a emotional reunion with its owner, Casey Colvin.

(01:03):
The reunion was captured on video during the Palisades Fire
and moved millions of people across the country. I remember
seeing this. Casey was seen sobbing on the side of
the road, begging the police to let him get his dog.
Most towns don't yet have procedures in place to help
people locate and recover pets separated during emergencies, so this

(01:23):
act will do just that, rescue and reunite pets. It
would be the first law of its kind in the nation,
and hopefully other states will follow. Team Oreo.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Good for the state of California. You know, people like
to give it a hard time, but that was a
very nice act.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Well, Mario Lopez will be right.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Back, Amaro Corney Lopez, give me the music coming your way.
As Cordo breaks down some new stiff hitting TV and
streaming Today.

Amazon Prime TV has the premiere of their new limited series,
Harlan Coben's Lazarus, a psychological mystery thriller series centering on
Joel Lazarus, who returns home after his father's suicide and
becomes an entangled in a series of cold case murders,
trying to grapple with his father's death and the murder
of his sister twenty five years prior to this, family

(02:09):
did not have good luck.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Like I like that premise all right.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
Netflix begins streaming the second season of Baby Bendito, exploring
the consequences of the viral success of the first heist
and puts Kevin in the middle of a conflict between
love and vengeance as the group fights for survival and
a second chance. A Lot of Passion and TLC is
premiering their new series, Dangerously Obese, which follows individuals with

(02:35):
life threatening obesity as they undergo bariatric surgery and work
to completely change their lives with the help of surgeon
doctor Charles Proctor.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
TLC has cornered the market on high calorie individuals because
they have my six hundred pound life, my eight hundred
pound life, my thousand pounds sisters, my thousand pounds sisters. Yeah,
Dangerously Obese and that girl Tarett's babyes that girl.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
That's true.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
But I'm talking about as far as heavy set individuals,
they they really have got that on lock.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
Well, it's the learning channel there, it is.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
That's true. All right, a few more songs and we're
gonna take him a new case in Cordo's Court. You're
on Mario Courtney Lopez. By the way, if you find
yourself in the midst of a dispute or a weird situation,
or you just need some random advice, Judge Quarto has
got you. She is all over it.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
All you need to do is just slide into our
DMS on with Mario on Facebook and X. We're on
with Mario Lopez on IG and we'll be back to
serve up some fresh justice. Intend don't you.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
You're on Mario Courtney Lopez and it's time to get
this week's court case in Courtney's Court. All rise for
Judge Courtney Quardo Lopez. All right, This one comes from
Zach in New Jersey, and they say, I've got a
bit of an awkward situation going on with my neighbor
in my apartment building for about three or four years now.
I don't know his name, but he knows mine, and
I see him all the time as we leave for
work around the same time. He always makes a point

(03:59):
to say, hey, Zach, and he really emphasizes my name
the past year as if he's saying he knows I
don't know his name. I always respond with, hey, man,
what's up dude?

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Hey bro?

Speaker 3 (04:08):
How can I figure out this guy's name without asking?
I feel bad because clearly we exchanged names years ago,
but I have no clue, any ideas. I know the
perfect one.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
But did I write what?

Speaker 3 (04:15):
Judge Quardo Courtney lopezz.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
I think you just be honest and just say.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
No, no, wow, you never are.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
Not my corner anymore.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Go ahead, You're never. It's not a corner.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
You're not honest. No, go on, be honest. Just ask
Courtney's corner that's at the top.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
So that's mislabeled by someone who no longer works with us?

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Can I can I just intercede for a second here,
Judge Quardo, with your permission. First of all, I don't
know anyone's name and people have worked with for years.
So what I do is I bring a friend around
and I say, Hey, this is my buddy Quardo. And
then at that point Cord is trained to say, oh, Hi,
what's your Name's Bob all, nice to meet you. Bob

(04:54):
has to repeat it twice so you get it, and
then at that point then you know the name Basically.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Once Mario learns your name, then he explained this rule
that you have to take part in when you're with him.
You have to do with other people whose names you don't.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
He have another neighbor if they know his name, just or.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
You could do that.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
You could do that good.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
Then you have to have someone with you all the
time to see if they come out of the apartment
at the same time. It's like follow my advice.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Or fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.

competitive pop culture pop quiz, competing in a round of
Halloween themed trivia. We like the Halloween themed song trivia
we had the other day.

was he kept guessing the wrong song, one song too early,
three songs in a row.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
It was a monologue. It was a monologue. Yeah, Fraser

You saw it right. It turned out well. I know,

very well. He crushed it.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
Thank you. And we did not win, unfortunately. But I
gotta say, honestly, I do feel rob because I thought

our Olympic coverage and all the different stuff that we did.
And you know, I'm not going to say, uh, I'm
not going to say any sort of things that are
are are murmuring out there with the controversy, but they're
being said more. Mario Lopez on the way, Amaro Lopez,

You're on Mario Courtney Lopez digging into the buzz and
break down Jason Bateman's controversial bathroom move on.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
With Mario Hollywood Buzz.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
So we mentioned the other day that actor Jason Bateman
did an episode of subway takes, and we talked about
his take on dogs, that they should wear shoes, not
come in the house just after they've probably walked all
over their peepoo and just walk up to start, you know,
stop the dirty feet. Yeah, they got they got dirty, freed.
I don't know about the shoes, that's a bit much.
But if we keep a pair of little wet wipes,

(18:20):
we'll just wipe them. That's However, later in the podcast,
he reeled something else that that kind of threw me.
He says that when he goes number one in the restroom,
he always sits down. He always sits down to one. Yes,
that's a weird piece of information I think to share.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Did he give a reason, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
If it's more comfortable, I don't. It was a SoundBite
that I saw, But that was just a weird thing
to sort of volunteer because it used to be an
insult back in the day.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
Yeah, and now leaning into it, I could partially understand
if he's like, you know, in the middle of the night,
if I'm half asleep or something, he sits down. Okay, fine,
Although I think that's that takes too much effort to
get back up.

Speaker 3 (18:59):
So that then yeah, yeah, it's just sort of a
weird deal. As a woman, you don't look too perplexity
as all want to sit down. But do I know?

Speaker 4 (19:06):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
Time you see baitman, you gotta ask Mari Lopez. Music
rolls on, Mario Corney Lopez.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
Here was some quick food buzz. After fifteen years of development,
grocery stores about to get a new fruit, the Kalada
Royal pineapple. This sounds amazing. This is from the Dole Company,
and they say it tastes like a pina colada with
hints of coconut. Wait a minute, this is a game
changer and it packs two and a half times the
b six of a regular pineapple.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
There's no booze in it though, no, but you go quick.

Speaker 3 (19:33):
You can add it, yes, if you want to try it.
The fruit is picked, riped and ready to eat and
it's only five or six bucks. It's gonna be in
stores later this month while coming out in winter two.
I like that. I love it. We're going to be
all over this. I'm telling you you'll get it. I'll
get it. Let's get this, Let's get this. Start putting
it in a blender, throw a little Malibu rum with

(19:53):
some vodka and tequila.

Speaker 2 (19:54):
Bam, you've got very specific hell he wants to deliver
it TOPPI.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
Time for one last thing.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
We hit up our annual tradition of going to Halloween
horror nights here at Universal Studios in LA.

Speaker 4 (20:26):
Who started this tradition?

Speaker 3 (20:28):
You started in Honey, I gave you full credit and
they seem to take it up a level every year.
This year was better than ever.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
This year was great.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
It was great. We were there almost seven hours, no
we and it flew by. We got to go in
a super VIP experience thanks to my girl Denise Cruz
shout out to DC. We love her. And we had
our own tram and we probably did three or four
nights of experiencing the park. In this one night. But seriously,
we're there seven hours and the mazes are incredible, the houses,

(20:59):
uh are incredible. One in particular, and I'm glad we
did it. At the very end had was a monster's
maze and Hadrona, which is an old Mexican legend about
a lady whose husband left her and cheated on her,
and she got back at him by drowning their kids.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
I don't feel like he cared and.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
Well, and then she drowned herself and then she sends
to purgatory. It's awful. Anyway, they had that in the
particular and they nailed it. Was the scariest one, right
it was.

Speaker 4 (21:26):
I'm not just saying this because Dominic's doing the movie
right now, but it was actually terrifying. And I feel
like a lot of people don't know about this folklore
because it's it's insane.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
It's actually it sounds it's pretty terrifying.

Speaker 4 (21:42):
And I just say, we were at lunch. They call
it lunch. They were night shoots. It was like ten
o'clock and I look over and saw the woman playing
Lrona without her wig, but her makeup was on.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
What was eating people?

Speaker 4 (21:57):
She was humans.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
It was terrified.

Speaker 3 (22:01):
It really was. So those mazes were great, and we
do the riots. It happened to be a beautiful night.
We brought sweatshirts, we were just kind of hanging out
in T shirts. So great, great time, And I'm glad
our son Dominic, who really wanted to go, did not attend,
only because I think it would have been way too
scary for him. Next year, I think we have to
let him go.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
Yeah, well, next year, you do, because if the movie's
out by then, they'll probably update it and his image
will be in there somewhere.

Speaker 3 (22:23):
Hey, you never know, you never know. So yeah, if
you get a chance, check out Halloween hor Night's Universal Studios.

Speaker 1 (22:29):
Mario Lopez returns after this.

Speaker 3 (22:31):

hanging out on Mario dot Com to relive any in
all of our radio fun.

Speaker 4 (22:37):
We are back to do it again tomorrow. Until then,
this is Mario and Courtney Lopez saying, prepare the Pineapple
Juice with Malibu ram in the Blender

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
