a Complete Unknown.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
Yes, he beat out Adrian.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Brody, who's won in that category for the Brutalist at
every other award show. So good for Timothy Shallome. He's
now the youngest actor to win SAG's Lead Actor Award.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Should be interesting come Oscars this weekend. We'll see.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
And Selena Gomez accepted the award for Outstanding Performance by
an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
She shares that.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Award with her Only Murders co stars Steve Martin and
Martin Short, whose Selena joked, weren't in attendance because they
don't care.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Oh pretty good, Selena. Rightm dot com for more SAG
Award winners and highlights.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
You're a Mario Courtney Lopez. Happy you're hanging with us
on this Tuesday. Back to the music right after, we
take a quick look at what's new on TV and streaming.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Yes, Netflix has a season three premiere of A Full Swing,
the lives of professional golfers on and off the course
across the season of high stakes competition during the PGA Tour.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Now, with all due respect, how compelling can this be?
They're playing golf and these dudes aren't out there risking
their lives. It's not a violence or they don't come
from tough backgrounds like honestly, like, there all country club kids.
How compelling can this be? I guess I have to watch?

Speaker 4 (02:06):
I guess you yeah, watch and see.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Hulu has a serious premiere of Black Ops to inept
community support officers go undercover.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
To thwart I like that word thwart.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
A violent criminal gang, but are unwinningly thrust into the
murky world of deep cover infiltration as they become part
of a powerful criminal enterprise.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
Who wrote this discription this.

Speaker 5 (02:31):
Is a comedy?

Speaker 3 (02:32):
I feel like they went and was like, let me
find all these like really hard works.

Speaker 5 (02:36):
I think they wanted it to sound bigger than it was.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Basically, all that happened was two security guards get mixed
up into criminal shenanigans.

Speaker 5 (02:46):
See. I would watch that.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
Yeah, yeah, it is. It's plain and simple.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
Peacock began streaming the new documentary Matthew Perry, a Hollywood
tragedy that should be interesting.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Amaro Corney Lopez getting ready to sell gat the best
in podcasting on our twenty twenty five I Hard Podcast Awards.
It's all going down live Monday, March tenth at south

Speaker 3 (03:07):

and the tune in.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Info don't share another helpful live backer almar and Courtney Lopez.
All right, honey, what are we talking about in Courtney's
corner today?

Speaker 4 (03:29):
Spring cleaning?

Speaker 3 (03:30):
And I don't even want to talk about what happened
to me yesterday.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Please do what happened?

Speaker 4 (03:34):
So we had company Friday.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Oh yes, I know what happened. This is awful.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
We had company Friday nights. So I had extra soda
and stuff because we were making drinks. And you know,
I was putting away the soda last night. And we
had an insane weekend of we were just busy every
second of the day. And I'm not complaining. It was
an amazing weekend, but I was exhausted by the end

(04:00):
of the weekend.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
I was carrying the soda to put it away. I
dropped one of it. No, don't start laughing yet.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
I can just envision this.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
I dropped one of the cans of sodas that rolled
it fell down the steps. No, okay, from upstairs bounces
shattered at the bottom of the steps. I now have
to repaint my walls.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Exploded it every wall you can think of.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
And I all I could do was laugh. I wanted
to cry. I was so tired. I just wanted to
get ready for bed. So now, since we're talking about
spring cleaning, I have to paint my walls. But anyway
back to spring cleaning. I did this when we were
moving a few years ago and it really really helped.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
So it's never too early to start making a plan.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
And if you're someone who procrastinates or gets overwhelmed by
the size of a project, here's.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
What you do.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
Spring clean one cupboard.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Or shelf a week, and by that I mean empty, sort, toss,
wipe down, and put things back in an orderly way.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
A little bit every week.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
Soon adds up, and you can start to eliminate clutter
by creating a pile of stuff to donate. In just
a few weeks and your home looks great and you'll
be able to find things digging around for them. That's
what I tell my daughter, our daughter, when I say
you need to clean out your drawers because there's things
in there that don't fit you anymore.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Daunting all.

Speaker 5 (05:26):
Do one drawer a day, exactly one.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Drawer day, and by no time you'll have everything done
and it doesn't seem so overwhelming of that.

Speaker 6 (05:34):
Poor Mario Lopez coming up music rolls on Marium Courtney
Lopez here making a quick digital pit stop at on
right dot com to see what's trending.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
Justin Bieber breaks his silence on concerns that his health
is declining.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Yeah, I think he just he just kind of has
the Adam Sandler look as far as the way he
dresses and stuff.

Speaker 4 (05:52):
He doesn't have to impress us.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Yeah, yeah, he's doing all right.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Find out which member of Lindsay Lohan's family just got
arrested and why poor guy just saw him too?

Speaker 4 (06:01):
Is your dad single?

Speaker 5 (06:02):
Nobody's in jail.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
Jessica Simpson is revealing how getting sober helped her artistically.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
I didn't realize she had an issue. But on Mario
dot com for all that and more. Mario Courtney Lopez
Here a few more songs. They'm going to fire up
zoom and chat with the hilarious Chelsea Handler. A new
Netflix special coming up at the end of March, and
a new book out. So let's talk about with Chelsea
when she joins us next Mario Lopez join me right

(06:29):
now on Zoom Comic and host My Girl, Chelsea Handler.
How are you, Chelsea? Hi there, how are you? I'm well?
I noticed you didn't call me your little pet name
right now.

Speaker 7 (06:40):
That was for off camera, off air.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
I like it now, I expect it every time off
off air, of course. First off, happy birthday. You look great, likewise,
Mario likewise, thank you very much. How are you celebrating?

Speaker 7 (06:58):
Well, I mean, I'm just about to start celebrating, so
I'm going to have I think I'm just going to
have birthday parties all year long. I just filmed my
you know, I do an annual birthday ski video where
I ski in my bathing suit. So I just filmed
that in Sun Valley and it was quite a production.
So I'm excited to release that. And then I'm going
to have a birthday party in Whistler. Then I'm gonna

(07:20):
have one in New York. Then I'm gonna have one
in LA They'll have London. I'm just going to keep rotating,
and I keep the whole year is going to be
a rotation of parties.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
That's what I'm talking about. It's like a tour, a
birthday tour. Mine was, like Marty gro I did a good,
solid week and then I got tired, because that's what
happens when you hit the VIC level work there. Congrats,
you got a new book coming out on your birthday,
as a matter of fact, called I'll Have What She's Having?
What is this one all about? Because I know you've
written quite a few books.

Speaker 7 (07:45):
Yes, this will be my seventh book, and it's coming
out of my fiftieth birthday. Because it is a it
is a road map for women who want to live
out loud and be themselves and not listen to any
of the pressures that society puts on us, to actually
be brave and live your authentic life and to be

(08:06):
a sister to all women. And yeah, it's about my
life and the kind of woman that I wanted to
be when I was growing up and the kind of
woman that I am, and kind of contrasting and comparing
the two, seeing where I fell off the tracks for
certain periods of time, and getting yourself back up and
putting yourself back on the track of becoming the person

(08:27):
that you really want to be. It's that kind of story.
So I'm hoping to inject a ton of optimism into
people when they're, you know, feeling such despair and you know,
and for people who need a little boost of confidence.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
That sounds really empowering and really cool. All right, Chelsea Hankty.
Lots more to talk about with Chelsea Handler after quick break, more.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Mario Lopez getting back to Chelsea Handler, who's on zoom
new book in honor of her fiftieth birthday. I'll have
what she's having. And are you where you thought you
would be at this point, at least emotionally psychologically.

Speaker 7 (09:06):
I mean, I don't know that I was thinking as
a young person about where i'd be psychologically or emotionally.
I just kind of had this vision that I wanted
to be this fierce, badass woman that wasn't a follower,
that didn't wasn't fake, you know, that was real, that
would stand.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Up for people. That's all.

Speaker 7 (09:21):
That's That's who I am, for sure. But I think
my life in the fact that I have such appreciation
for it now and that I've grown up so much,
and that I've had success for such a nice period
of time to allow me to live in such a
comfortable way and allow me to be a sister to
so many people without having children. All the children in

(09:42):
my life are in that book. People assume I hate
children because I don't have them. I'm like, no, no,
it's just a preference. Like like I don't I like
playing pizza. I don't want Pepperoni not to meet the child.
The Pepperoni pizza not interested.

Speaker 8 (09:55):
So it's kind of the whole book is just really empowering,
I think, and people always ask me how I'm so
fearless or how I have so much confidence, And this
is the book to explain why, and that it is
an inside job for all of.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
Us, right, and I want to be more confident.

Speaker 7 (10:13):
If everyone was confident, we'd be in a much less
violent world.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
It's true, that's true. Actually, you're exactly right. Well, congrats
on that. Hang time, a few more songs and when
we come back with some more Chelsea Chelsea Handler hanging
on Zoom with us this hour. You're O Mario Lopez
busy as ever, and I know you're going to be
continuing your Vegas residency with some new dates this year.
What can fans expect when they come to your show.
Are you talking a lot about your stuff that's going

(10:39):
on in your book?

Speaker 7 (10:41):
No, No, Vegas is a stand up show, so that's
a lot different.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
And I'm there.

Speaker 7 (10:45):
Yeah, I'm there.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Next date is March twenty.

Speaker 7 (10:47):
First, my Vegas residency has been off the hook. It
has been so much fun. I perform once a month,
which is exactly how much time I could stand in Vegas.
I gamble after my show. I win every time, and
then I perform inside the Chelsea feeder.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
I mean it's just.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
That, that's right. I do remember you perform side in
Chelsea when you gamble? What do you what do you play?

Speaker 1 (11:08):
Watchack?

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Okay and you win?

Speaker 7 (11:10):
Huh yeah, I win, and I who remever I'm gambling
with I give money to because I'm like, listen, this
is on me and everyone wins. Every time I've done
I think four or five shows so far as as
part of my residency, and every time we walk away
with money.

Speaker 5 (11:24):
It's just been a gift.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
What are we playing? What do you want? Mario? I'm
definitely good at adding fast. I would see I'm not.
I'm gonna be honest with you under the table. I'm
like this, I'm like this, I'm really bad. You're good
at math. See, we would be a good we would
be a good good chat. Nothing complex, all right, Chelsea
Hank tight, little more music and we're gonna come back

(11:45):
and wrap it up with Chelsea Handler. Catching up with
Chelsea Handler this hour, Mario Lopez here, new book, more
Vegas dates coming up, and you also got a new
special coming to Netflix at the end of March called
The Feeling. And is this is this different from what
we'd be seeing in Vegas or I hear you're spilling
a lot of tea in this one. This is different,

(12:06):
everything's different. Yes, this one is a special called The Feeling.

Speaker 7 (12:11):
What my show in Vegas is different? That's a new
hour of material. But in this book, I talk a
lot about my childhood before I spill all the tea,
and my childhood was filled with lots of the feelings.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
Jersey right, your Jersey girl? Hey, yes, nice, nice sor
ry one more thing I want to ask quick break,
and then we're going to come back and wrap it
up with Chelsea.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
You're the full interview now at On with Mario Doug
More Mario Lopez on the.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
Way wrapping up with Chelsea Handler. You're on Mario Lopez
and Chelsea Before you go, I wanted to mention that
you also have a weekly podcast. Dear Chelsea, you're essentially
giving out advice right there right.

Speaker 7 (12:45):
Yes, who doesn't want advice for me?

Speaker 2 (12:47):
I love dishing out advice.

Speaker 7 (12:48):
It's first of all, the best person to give advice
to someone who has no skin in the game and
has no relationship for a situation. So yes, I'm like,
that's more of my big sister ness. I love like
pushing somebody in the right to wrect a being like
you don't need that guy, get the hell away from him,
or you don't need that job, quit and start again, move,
do something, you know, be daring.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
See solid advice. I like that. I'd listen to you.
I so appreciate you taking the time. Congratulations on everything
and listen. Be sure to pick up Chelsea's new book
and catch our comedy special, which is dropping on Netflix
March twenty fifth. Thanks for checking in, Chelsea.

Speaker 4 (13:23):

Speaker 5 (14:03):
Rashida Jones, Quincy's daughter from Parks and rec.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
Lots of shows.

Speaker 4 (14:09):
Sheeta turning.

Speaker 5 (14:13):
I'm on cold medicine.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
I I'm just exhausted.

Speaker 4 (14:18):
She is forty seven.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
She's Jones going to be forty seven, but she's actually
forty five.

Speaker 5 (14:26):
Forty nine, forty nine. Sean Aston from Lord of the
Rings Goonies, Rudy.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
My guy's fifty two.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
I asked him a long time ago and he told
me he was turning fifty four.

Speaker 5 (14:38):
He lied because he's fifty three. Oh Daniel Powder, he
had a bad day, wrote a song about it and
it got used a lot on American idol.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
He always uses no shine powder, so it makes him
look younger. And I think he's forty two.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Forty five fifty four.

Speaker 5 (14:57):
Oh Carrot Top.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
Keer Top has changed his look over the years. So yeah,
I don't think he's I don't think he's topping sixty yet,
but I think he is fifty five.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
Well, if I care to top that, I thought you
guys care.

Speaker 5 (15:17):
Come on, come on top mack.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
Quick like that's funny.

Speaker 5 (15:21):
He's fifty eight, okay, fifty eight.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Rick Flair, the nature boy whoa Nature Boys coming in
seventy one?

Speaker 4 (15:31):
That's not Flair, he's seventy two.

Speaker 5 (15:34):
Seventy six. And finally, Sally Jesse Rafael give.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
Me those red glasses, honey, take me back to when
I missed school and I would watch you when I
was fake sick.

Speaker 5 (15:48):
Not the price is right, all of it? Oh, okay,
at different times.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
I don't feel that.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
Sally Jesse Raphael is.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
Seventy seventy five ninety wow? Are you kidding?

Speaker 1 (16:01):
I am not?

Speaker 5 (16:02):
She's ninety years old?

Speaker 4 (16:03):
Wow?

Speaker 1 (16:05):
Or Mario Lopez coming up?

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Music rolls on as we quickly recognize today's obscure holiday.
All Mario and Courtney Lopez? All right, honey, what are
we celebrating today?

Speaker 3 (16:14):
It just sounds disgusting. It's National clam Chowder Day.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
What do you need it sounds you've never had clam child,
it's disgusting, it's amazing. And when you have a good
authentic clom chuck clum, when you.

Speaker 4 (16:25):
Have where are you from?

Speaker 2 (16:27):
When you have a good authentic clam chowder, Oh my gosh,
and you get one in a bread bowl and you
can eat the bowl afterwards. Woo, next level.

Speaker 5 (16:36):
I love my clomb chauto clumb chowder's good.

Speaker 4 (16:39):
You have it, a great papon with your clam chowder.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
Mario Courtney Lopez here quick look at the buzz because
Tate McCrae reacting to the crazy yet flattering remarks fans
have been making comparing her to a pope y icon
Britney Spears. Tate says she's surprised to have any mentioned
on the same level as someone she uses as being
the blueprint. She says the comparisons are flattering and scary. Well,

(17:04):
what era of Brittany are we talking about here? Because
if we're talking anything.

Speaker 5 (17:08):
Room Brittany, I don't think we're talking living room Britney anywhere.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
Britney is my favorite.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
Scary, meaning her vocals, because I wouldn't want anyone to
compare me vocally.

Speaker 5 (17:17):
Although she might mean the pressure.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
Let me talk me about like the combo of her
being a good dancer and singer and performer. She said
that the other.

Speaker 4 (17:25):
Day she is She's Tate McCray. I follow her.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
I'm a huge fan of her. I can hear it
in her voice. It has the same kind of tone.
Baby baby, it's okay, I'm okay, I'm a really right.
But Tate McCrae, I feel like just has the whole package.
If she were to sing live nice Yes, yeah, I'm
with Mario dak Cam for that. Meanwhile, you can see

(17:48):
Tate McCray take the stage on the Tonight Show with
Jimmy Fallon later tonight.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
You're all Marl Courtney Lopez Oscars of course coming up
on Sunday and of Award season. I'm so excited. Any
looking forward to hitting the red carpet and talking to
all your favorite stars. Also looking forward to making predictions
all week like we usually do. All right, Fraser, what
categories are we doing today?

Speaker 5 (18:09):
We'll do two of them today. Actress and a supporting role,
an actor in a supporting role, do the ladies first,
Monica Barbero for a complete unknown, Ariana Grande Wicked Felicity Jones,
the brutalist, Isabella Rossellini for Conclave, and Zoe Saldana for
Emilia Perez.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
I feel like a lot of the momentum is with
Wicked both she did a nice job, but also I
feel like the bigger picture here, and I'm being a
conspiracy theorist, they want to embrace more commercial type films,
more films that will appeal to the masses. That way,
people will start watching the telecasts more because when they

(18:45):
start honoring, unfortunately these lesser seen independent films, then you're
not really embracing the whole audience. So we'll see.

Speaker 4 (18:54):
So who's your pick?

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Well, so I think Arianna has a really really good shot.

Speaker 3 (18:59):
You know, I only saw Wicked out of this list,
so that would be my pick because and I thought
she did an amazing job. But Amelia Perez has been
winning awards left.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
And right, so nominated more than any of.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
Yeah, so you know I have I think Zoe's Aldania
has a great chance.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
Okay, and now the actors in Sporting role are.

Speaker 5 (19:21):
You're a Borisov from Anora, Kiaren Culkin, your buddy from
a Real Pain, Edward Norton a complete unknown guy, Pierced
the Brutalist and Jeremy Strong the Apprentice.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
Well, I'm going for my boy Karen Culkin for a
real pain. We did tequila shots on the red carpet
for the Golden Globes.

Speaker 4 (19:39):
It was good luck.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
I said, I'll see you at the Ostris Like, yeah, right,
we'll say no when you nominated, will do more t toquila.
So hopefully that'll work out well.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
From two and Jeremy Strong, who's nominated for the Apprentice,
he did a succession with Kiaren.

Speaker 4 (19:53):
Right, that's right, Keas, that's awesome. That's awesome.

Speaker 6 (19:56):

By the way, I recently heard her rendition of the
Outfields Your love?

Speaker 5 (20:14):
How did you do it for Kelly? Ok?

Speaker 2 (20:16):
I think she kind of released her somebody who was
I heard it? Like got playing. I knew it's good,
of course because she she kills it, but she she
gave it a lot of the same flavor with on Kelly.
Isn't it was great? Because you know I love that
song There's.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
Nothing she can't do and I will be at this.
We better get tickets. By the way, we'll handle everything.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
A Mario Courtney Lopez digging them to the buzz because
apparently Sidney Sweeney is a little too busy to get
married on.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
With Mario Hollywood Buzz.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
So the reports are true, Sidney Sweeney is postponing her
nuptial Oh or it is her and her fiance Jonathan
Devino's busy schedules are to blame. A couple started dating
in twenty eighteen. She got engaged in twenty twenty two.
She mentioned being busy with work, claiming in the past
that she's a workaholic and loves it, and that she
and her fiance are not rushing into marriage. The exact

(21:55):
cause for the wedding delay is not entirely clear. Bought
her upcoming movie projects in a biopic could be a factor.
She's been pretty private about him just in general, which
I think is kind of smart. You know, she doesn't
post about him or anything, and he's I think a
little older than her, So I don't think we should
read into it too much. Maybe they are just a
little too busy.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
Well, she's working all the time, so you got to
strike while the iron is hot.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
It's true.

Speaker 6 (22:19):
More with Mario Lopez after this o Mario Courtney Lopez
almost time to pass the mic, but not before we
squeeze in one last thing.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
Over the weekend, got to take part in one of
my favorite events every year, the Father Daughter Dance and
my Gigi and I had a blast. She actually paid
attention to me.

Speaker 4 (22:39):
She did, she did.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
She gave me a lot of love. She gave me
a lot of love. Didn't blow me off too much,
and I think she knows how much I like it.
We had a we had a country western theme, so
I went back to my roots.

Speaker 5 (22:51):
Not really my roots, but your early nineties country.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
Yes, yes, midnightties, midnight nineties, my midnighteties country. That yeah.
Dusted off the hat in the boots and it was
a great time. It was so much fun.

Speaker 5 (23:02):
Was there line dancing?

Speaker 2 (23:04):
We did a little line dancing. Sure, there was some
line dances. There's a lot of group dancing. And shout
out to Djlivia. She's great. She comes and really brings
a party and everyone had a really good time. Missus
Lopez was the head of the committee putting it on.
She did a great, great job and the venue is awesome.
