This is on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
All right, Mike's are now a love Mario Courtney Lopez
here to get you over the humblots going on today,
including a new case in Courtney's court.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
Plus not all NEPO babies are the same. We'll take
a look at the most talented celebs to follow in
their family's footsteps. But up next, it's our Good Deed
of the Week. You are on with Mario and Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
You know, Mario Courtney Lopez. Every week we celebrate someone
who's done a good deed. Who are we putting in
the spotlight today?

Speaker 3 (00:27):
Honey, Darius Rucker from Hoodie and the Blowfish, so I
can me too. He recently held his fifteenth annual Darius
and Friends concert and raised seven hundred and fifteen thousand
dollars for Saint Jude Children's Research Home. It's great all together.
Over the past fifteen years, he's now brought in more
than four point three million dollars. That's amazing. And those

(00:51):
Saint Jude commercials just tear me apart.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
It is a great, great cause and he's a great guy.
A little later on the show, I'm gonna tell you
about my big fundraiser this week.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Well, Mario Lopez will be right back.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
You're all Mario Courtney Lopez. And there's still some time
to be part of this year as can't cancel Pride concert.
We've already raised fourteen million for LGBTQ organizations.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
This head over to iHeartRadio's YouTube and Facebook pages. Now
we've got Megan Trainer, Ben Platt, Melissa Etheridge and so
many more brought to you by this station and Ole
Beauty totally.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
All right, let's get back to the music. You're all,
Mario Courtney Lopez. Let's take a look at what's on
TV today.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Pulo debuts from tomorrow. A doctor and a detective must
work together to battle a series of supernatural phenomena.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
You don't see that pairing too often, but I like it.
A doctor and a detective, Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
Netflix has season two of King of Collectibles. This season,
Ken tries to buy a dress worn by Kate Winslet
in Titanic, a copy of Action Comics Number one, and
the mummified hand of Cleopatra. Oh my god, how's going
all right? Apple TV premieres Presumed Innocent. Jake Jillenhaal is

(02:04):
a prosecutor determined to investigate the murder of one of
his colleagues until he becomes a suspect in this case,
dun Dundum.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
This is based on the movie from Back in the
Day starring Harrison Ford, so it's a nice updated version.
We'll have to see Kilmar Courtney Lopez time to dish
out some common sense. Just as all Rise Courtney's court
is now in session, today's case comes from at what
Alex wants And they say, I draw my kids off

(02:34):
and my sisters this weekend. She babysits them all the time,
but when I picked them up, she gave me an
invoice for everything they ate, like three dollars for apple juice,
three dollars for chips, seventeen dollars for meals, one dollar
for milk. This is ridiculous. Who would pay this?

Speaker 3 (02:50):
So, okay, I have a couple different opinions about this.
So you say your sister baby sits all the time,
which apparently she doesn't give you seats for all the time.
If I had a sister that did that and I
wasn't paying them, I would certainly give them money per diem.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
I guess absolutely for whatever they need for.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Whatever they need. They're not her kids, and if you're
watching them free of charge, that's really the least that
you can do, is it shouldn't cost her money. Absolutely,
she's losing money.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
I think unfortunately some people look at it like, oh, well,
those are your nieces and nephews. You're the aunt or
you're the uncle. I mean hello, But like you said,
not my financial responsibility. Exactly, not your financial responsibility, and
I could be doing other things with my time, so
at least hook up their expenses.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
Yeah, I think you deserve to give her money or
she should stop babysitting your kids.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
Yeah, tell Mario what do you think? On Twitter at
spawnd with Mario More Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
On the Way, Mario Courtney Lopez. Here's some big artists
on late night TV today. These might be worth her,
according Who do we got?

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Camila Cabeo performs on Jimmy Fallon Okay, and Tanache is
over on Jimmy.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Kimmel, Hey mix Up, Okay.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
All the Jimmies plus Megan Trainer will sit across from
Andy Cohen on Bravos WA's What Happens Live, and Miley
Cyrus is David Letterman's guest on Netflix's My Next Guest
Needs no introduction.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
They're doing another season of that. Okay, I wonder if
you shaved this year. Mario Courtney Lopez here with a
quick reminder about this week'sweepstakes for sending one winner and
a guest to see train and concert in any city
they want, which is kind of cool. You can choose
West Palm Beach, Toronto, even right here in.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
LA We'll hook you up with plane tickets, not a
train ticket. I had to take that line.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Too, you know what, They should put them on a
train just to the experience.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
I know, I know. But two night's hotel, plus a
meet and greet with the band singer Pat Monaghan, and
even some exclusive merch.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
So big thanks to Live Nation for working it up.
There's only one way to win and get rules in
the entry form at Onlodmarrio dot com. What O Mario
Courtney Lopez here. Today's lesson of music industry takes us
back to the birth of j LO the pop star.
I'm a reveal it next. Jarl Marrol Courney Lopez and
I was talking about Nepo Babies earlier in the week,

(05:11):
and it got me thinking about some of the most
talented people who are technically nepo babies but break the mold.
For example, Michael Douglas, son of Kirk Douglas. His dad
at his time was one of the biggest movie stars
ever was Spartacus, and then when he came on the
scene the Apes, Yeah, Planet of the Apes. But when
Michael came on the scene in the seventies with a
TV show, first Streets of San Francisco, and then he

(05:35):
became like the biggest star in the eighties with Wall Street,
Fatal Attraction, Basic Instinct, Romancing the Stone, Romance the Stone,
the Stone. But I love that, But that's an example,
Like he was great. He just happens to have a
dad that was a very talented You gotta imagine that
a lot of the talent's going to trickle down sometimes.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
No, absolutely, And I have a hard time thinking of
Kirk Douglas because that was before we were born. So
I feel like the generation like our parents though kind
of forget Well.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
It's also weird because like Michael Douglas now looks like
Kirk Douglas.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
Right, because he's gotten so much older.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
So it's like it gets confusing.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Gwyneth Paltrow is daughter of actress blythe Tanner and director
Bruce Paltrow. She of course went an Oscar in a
Golden Globe and an Emmy. A lot of people forget
just like you said, they have famous parents there.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
Absolutely Jake and Maggie Jillenhall, their parents were both directors.
Each were nominated for an Oscar. Two kids nominated for
an Oscar.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
Again, both parents were in the line of work, so
a lot of genetics working there.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Tracy Ellis Ross, daughter of Diana Ross. Five Emmy nominations, yes.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
In the sitcom category. Angelina Joe Lee probably one of
the more notable ones of this generation, daughter of course
of John Voight, who was an Oscar winner himself, and
his daughter, yep is an Oscar winner. So that's another
one like you forget. Like she's obviously very talented and
pretty too, So you can't really point and say, oh,

(06:58):
she did it because she was a neple kid.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
That's my point, you know, there's really no difference. Like
my uncle owned an auto body shop and my cousin
took over, and now.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
We're example footsteps exactly.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
If it's a family business, it's just an entertainment. You're
well known so it's just looked at differently, but it's
no difference on taking over. I know people that have
taken over their dad's chiropractic businesses.

Speaker 5 (07:21):
Same thing of poor Mario Lopez coming up, Mario Cordy Lopez.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Here, it looks like the Hollywood comeback for Will Smith
is now complete. Bad Boys for first big box office
success of the summer, made fifty six million so far
in North America in a total of one hundred and
five million worldwide. Look at that, all right?

Speaker 3 (07:39):
This was after disappointing openings for movies like Furious The
fall Guy, and if it was Will's first movie back
since King Richard and his Oscar Slop.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
You know, I think he was smart, or maybe it
was just luck with timing that he was able to
come back with a very established franchise that was already
very well known and well received. So I think that
was a good, good move on that part. All right,
let's get back to the music. Mario Courtney Lopez. Here,

(08:22):
the Capitol One pre sales now live for the twenty
twenty four iHeartRadio Music Festival. This is your first chance
to get tickets before they're opening the general public on Friday,
huge lineup this year too.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Huh that's right, Big Sean. Come you look at Bayo,
Doja Cat, Gwen Stefani Hosier and so many more. It's
September twentieth and twenty first in Las Vegas. Just go
to on with Mario dot com and get all the info.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
You're a Mario Courtney Lopez. Now for today's birthday shoutouts
were then try to guess the ages.

Speaker 4 (08:48):
From Now you See Me twenty one Jump Street, neighbors
and James Franco's brother Dave Franco.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
Okay, another I didn't know his brother was.

Speaker 4 (08:59):
You know there was another?

Speaker 3 (09:00):
No, I didn't well, I think frankly, Oh he.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
Is for.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
I'm gonna say forty two thirty nine.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
Oh Jason Muse from Clerks, Jay and Silobob strike back Dogma.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
We've had him in here. This dude's funny. Dude.

Speaker 4 (09:18):
I had to take him on a tour of our
building when he was here because he's like, what's back here?
And then I just we walked around for a while.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
He's like the perfect movie stoner. Yes, he's hilarious. I
think he's sober now is he all boo?

Speaker 4 (09:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Uh, he's gotta be because of that movie.

Speaker 4 (09:33):
Maybe California is sober.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
I'm gonna say he's fifty fifty three fifty is correct? Wow?

Speaker 1 (09:40):
Do that?

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Okay Lopez? Royal Courtney Lopez. Here, let's put a spotlight
on my wife and get to Courtney's random thought. What
do you got?

Speaker 1 (09:49):
Heney?

Speaker 3 (09:50):
Imagine getting roasted by Pinocchio, but with every diss his
nose hasn't moved an inch. What salty would you be?
So salty?

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Don't ever disrespect me with a Pinocchio disc and his
nose doesn't move an inch. That would be the worst. Ah,
the disrespect?

Speaker 5 (10:10):
What up?

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Mario Courtney Lopez. Here was some quick buzz. We're hearing
the Taylor Swifts band. It started a book club while
they're on the road. Now look at that. Currently on
their reading list, the nineteen forty three novel A Tree
Grows in Brooklyn. Huh, not exactly light reading there.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
Well, the Arastur continues until December, so they should be
all pretty well read by the end of the year.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
So wow, look at that. They're gonna have a quiz. Okay,
more music, Now a Mario Courtney Lopez, time to get
into your comments. What'd you find our mentioned any This.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
Is from at night Owl MX and they said Mario
went full Nems on Wahlberg. Somebody call an ambulance.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
A night ALMX is referring to my boy Nems, who
does the don't ever disrespect Me videos due to such
a character. He's on IG. You can follow him at
literally don't ever disrespect Me VIDs and he's also Nams
on IG. But one time I said it as a
joke to uh Wahlburg. He goes, dude, you follow Nams.
I love that guy. He's like, that's my kind of

(11:12):
humor because he loves to break chops. Yeah, like iuy
do Wahburg and all this guy does is roast you
and I did sort of just a light roast on Wahburg.
You try to come back light roasts and then Nams
commented has said, don't ever disrespect me with these friendly roasts.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
Yo, Courtney Lopez. Here, we got something to celebrate every day.
What is today's national holiday?

Speaker 3 (11:37):
It is an International Falaffel Day.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
oOoOO. Do you know the difference between a falaffel and
a euro Spelling's different?

Speaker 3 (11:47):
Yeah, A falaffel is hot and a euro is cold
ooh close.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
But no cigar. But I like that you committed to
the answer. A falafel is almost more like a sandwich,
where a euro is more like a burrito wrap. But
they're essentially the same thing. Stuck with Well, it's weird.
They don't warm up the the actual pea bread or
non bread that they use bread, but they do warm

(12:18):
up the meat, which like, why not just warm up
the Yeah, but it's all lamb meat and they're both tasty,
little greasy, but tasty. Ally a Mario Courtney Lopez and
if you're a fan of the band Terrain, we got
the perfect sweepstaye for you. One winner and a guest.
We'll get to see the band live in the city
of their choice, pick.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
A destination from anywhere on their tour. We'll cover the flight,
tonight's hotel and the concert tickets. Plus we'll get you
into a meet and greet with Pat Monaghan and give
you some exclusive merge.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
Big thanks to Live Nation for furnishing the prizes. To
enter and get rules, head over to Onodmarrio dot com.
Good luck. You're a Mario Courtney Lopez and there's a
mom who's gone viral right here in southern California. She
reviews this to return her shopping cart when she goes
to the store. She says she's not leaving her kids
alone in the cart, even for the few moments it
takes a return a shopping cart. Some are calling her

(13:10):
entitled or Karen, but she says she trusts her intuitions.
Do you think she's being lazy or over protective?

Speaker 3 (13:19):
Well, if you would ask me one piece of advice
to give to a new parent, this is something I've
always done since our first baby, whenever they're with me
at the grocery store or whatever, which is rare because
I try not to take them because they always want
to drive me crazy.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
And you also can't dance.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
And though I always park in a parking space next
to the return cart smart So I always tell new
moms that that's like a stupid little hack, but it's
it's a good you're right there and you can put
the cart back and your kids in the car. I
leave the door open. So I don't agree with this mom,

(13:59):
because there are ways to do it and not have
to leave your kids. So I think she's wrong.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
That's a good hack in general, not even with kids.
Like just park near it, Yeah, and then you don't
have to.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
Go for it.

Speaker 3 (14:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (14:11):
More Mario Lopez coming up, Mario, Courtney Lopez, you're with
more bad news.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
Her real housewife, Kim Zulziak. A judge is ordering her
to pay back another debt. This time it's her Target
credit card. They have credit cards just for Target.

Speaker 3 (14:25):
Now they have credit cards for every Wow.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
Which apparently has twenty five hundred in charges, which a
small potatoes compared to her other debts. The Target says
they haven't received a payment in two years.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
She just be oning everybody.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
Well, see what happens is you go to these places
and you can open a credit card and you save
a percentage, and then they never pay it and they
just kid.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
That's how they get you.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
But I'm surprised that she was able to open a
Target credit card with her other credit being so bad.
So I don't know how that works.

Speaker 4 (14:57):
It was like two years ago, I guess, so maybe
it wasn't as then or something.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
All right, let's play some more music. Mario Lopez here
with my wife Courtney. Let's take a look what's trending
on the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
Billie Eilich talks about being ghosted by a guy six
months ago. Just search miss me to find that. Zach
Brown talks about his big break and the advice he
received from Bruce Springsteen. Find that by searching Bobby casts Okay,
Dina Jane told us about the Fifth Harmony Revival that's
happening on TikTok. That's cool. You can listen to that

(15:29):
by searching on with Mario.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
Mario Courtney Lopez. Time now for one last thing. Fans
think divorce is eminent between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez.
They've hired a realtor to sell the sixty million dollar
mansion they share in bel Air. It went up twenty million.
It was forty million just a week ago, so who
knows what it really is.

Speaker 4 (15:49):
It's a fast movie economy.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
Evidently, sources say they haven't officially separated, but have been
living separate lives for weeks now. Ben has apparently been
staying in an apartment a few blocks away that costs
one hundred thousand dollars a month in rent. WHOA, what
does that? You need to find it better?

Speaker 1 (16:07):
Like real estate agent?

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Yeah, I mean, I hope these are just rumors because
obviously you don't like to wish or hope for the
demise of any relationship, especially when there's kids involved. And uh,
it's going to be interesting to see how it does
play out. When did they get married A couple of
years ago?

Speaker 1 (16:26):
Was two years ago?

Speaker 2 (16:26):
I think? Yeah, Well the crazy thing here is they
were together, Yeah, they separated for a while, had kids,
had a marriage, yeah, and then got back together. Usually
you would think, you would think spending that time a lot,
you know what you're getting into, you know all that.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
So, but then at the same time they spend so
much time apart. People grow, people become different people.

Speaker 4 (16:46):
So you see how miserable he is.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
Who knows, well, he just looks and like he lives
in constant misery. I don't know because I heard, but
that's just.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
His No, no, no, I'm not face. Yeah no, no, I'm
not saying that he was miserable before her.

Speaker 3 (16:57):
Right, but his Sonny would always say, she'll me your
angel face. If he thinks your mouth, then you have
to smile more.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
All right, we're out here, but we're back tomorrow with
a new life, back at all the latest Hollywood buzz.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
Until then, this is Mario and Courtney Lopez. Saying good
night
