Speaker 1 (00:00):
On with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Lights of Red Mics are live. What a Mario Courtney Lopez.
You're back behind the mic and fired up to be
hanging with you for the next few hours. A lot
of radio fun to get to, including actor David Roquette
and my buddy actor director Danny A. Stopton violated with
a scoop on their new movie Mob Cops, plus a fake.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
Debate you must see movies, our comment of the week,
and so much more so turn it up. You're on
with Mario and Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
I'm Mario, Courtney Lopez and echin. Closer and closer to summer,
which means vacations if you're lucky enough to get them,
and if you're flying. There are apparently rules of etiquette.
A redditor recently asked users to share the rules all
passengers should know in nearly three thousand have come in
so far, Like what, honey.
Speaker 3 (00:46):
Well, most of them are common sense, but we know
people don't have common sense. Some of the most named
ones include, don't put your feet up on the arm
rest of the person in front of you, it's not
your seat.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Correct and listen if you're behind someone, and maybe the
back portion of it, but you can't go full extension
into the arm rest.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
If you find yourself putting an arm or a foot
through the seats in front of you go through, you
are doing it wrong.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
Exactly.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
Keep your shoes on.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Lopez, Well, I've been putting them on now when I
use the restroom, I've been putting them on.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
So yes, I take my shoes off on long flights
when I go to sleep, but I have socks on
right now. I don't. I'm not barefoot. Absolutely, obviously, be
kind to the flight attendants and listen to the instructions.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
Yeah, come on, you can't. There's no there's never any
reason to be rude.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
And don't clip your toenails or fingernails.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Come on, that just you got to throw them off
the plane at that point.
Speaker 5 (01:48):
If you're doing that, you're doing it wrong.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
I've seen that on the subway.
Speaker 5 (01:52):
Oh gosh, that makes more sense to me.
Speaker 1 (01:57):

Speaker 1 (04:01):
I'm good?
Speaker 6 (04:02):
How are you?
Speaker 2 (04:02):
I'm well. I wanted to say congratulations and break the
news right here at on with Mario that you landed
your very first movie role, all on your own. You
audition and got the part of Shadow in the movie
Bad Counselors, which is based on a true story where
these guys are in college, they get into some trouble
(04:25):
and they have to do community service and they choose
to do it at this camp for kids, and he's
one of the kids.
Speaker 5 (04:30):
You're going to say in college. I'm like, how is
that possible?
Speaker 2 (04:32):
He's a genius. No, so he's one of the kids
that camp and Nico is playing. This is kind of
a dark character. He's not supposed to cut his hair.
How do you feel about the director said, did not
Kyle was gonna get your hair cut today as a
matter of fact, but to not cut your hair. And
we got about another month ago before we start filming.
You're gonna be all waked out. Do you like that?
Speaker 7 (04:51):
Yeah, I'm very excited. I remember my first movie it
was with you, so of course I had to cut
my hair before and it was kind of short and
it didn't look the.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
Best either, but I thought it looked good.
Speaker 7 (05:01):
I'm very excited that I get to grow out my
hair and I hope it will look very good.
Speaker 8 (05:04):
For the movie.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
I think it's gonna look really good. It's gonna be long,
and you're gonna be with a bunch of other kids,
and you're going to North Carolina. How do you feel
about that?
Speaker 1 (05:11):
I'm super excited.
Speaker 7 (05:12):
I mean, it's a long ways away, but it's gonna
be a long plane flight. But I got my iPad,
I got I downloaded Disney movies.
Speaker 5 (05:20):
You're already downloaded.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
You're leaving in a month. Yeah, yeah, he's prepared ready.
Speaker 5 (05:24):
I like it.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
He's ready to go. And then cut too. You're gonna
be doing another holiday movie. I think about a month
later that one though. It's great because you're gonna have
tw different notes, one with a long wig, and your
wig is gonna be short and all buttoned up.
Speaker 7 (05:34):
Every movie I do with you, it's always gonna be shorts.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
What are you a rocker? You gotta have it a
little buttoned up.
Speaker 4 (05:41):
It's his it's his Christmas movie. Yea, you gotta follow
his hair rolls.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
I'm actually not in that movie.
Speaker 8 (05:46):
That one.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
You're just gonna be on your own right there. But
I gotta keep you clean cut in summer. But congratulations
one of the You're welcome more.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Mario Lopez on the way, Hey you're.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
All Mario Lopez. My son Dominic hanging out because he's
on spring break. Can Nico quickly tell him about the
flow Pez Show?
Speaker 7 (06:02):
So the flow Petz Show is basically where me and
my coach Donnie, we go on these fun little adventures
to go to camps and practices and like we just
like break down on what we learned, and like, we
have everybody come on the adventure with us and it's
super fun. We actually we haven't posted in a while,
but we have three episodes.
Speaker 8 (06:21):
I mean that.
Speaker 7 (06:21):
Donnie is editing and uh, they're gonna come out soon,
so please like and subscribe. It's called the flow Pez
Show on YouTube.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Flowpez Show on YouTube. F l O p e Z
got it music rolls on, you're all Mario Courtney Lopez.
In fact, I'm gonna play a few more songs and
get actor David Arquette and actor director Danny A in here.
They teamed up for two new movies.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
Last we got to talk to David about the next
Scream movie and more so, hang on. David Arkette and
Danny A join us in studio.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
NeXT's everyone, Mario Lopez enjoining right now in studio. A
couple of friends of mine, mister Danny A, David Keett.
How are you telling me.
Speaker 8 (07:00):
What's going on?
Speaker 9 (07:02):
Are you?
Speaker 8 (07:02):
Buddy? You're doing well?
Speaker 2 (07:03):
Thank you, and I know you were on my show
Access Daily and Access Hollywood. We're repurposing, we're blowing up
mob cops. Sally here and I love that you guys
have teamed up now for a couple of films, this
one that is going to be hitting both theaters and
on demand. Mob Cops. I'm very excited about because it's
based on a shrue story and it essentially evolves some
(07:24):
dirty cops, right.
Speaker 6 (07:26):
Yeah, Yeah, probably the most corrupt case in the history
of the NYPD eighties and nineties. Yeah, it's a really
a crazy story.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
How challenging is it to do period piece in that era?
Speaker 8 (07:37):
It's very challenging.
Speaker 5 (07:39):
I mean that's why I shot the movie in LA.
Speaker 8 (07:42):
I didn't take it to New York and New York.
Speaker 6 (07:43):
I have to close down streets, permits, all the cars
and wardrobe, and then you have to really like figure
out how you you know, there's so many moving things
when you shoot in the city itself, with the noise
and all that stuff.
Speaker 8 (07:56):
We decided to shoot.
Speaker 6 (07:57):
It all in La exterior stuff which shot and Warner
Brothers on the New York lots over there, and it
just made it much easier.
Speaker 8 (08:04):
It's very difficult to the.
Speaker 6 (08:05):
Cars, the wardrobe, all of that stuff, the unions.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
The.
Speaker 8 (08:11):
Mob coming after us.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
From what I've seen, though, David, look it's great man.
I mean you've had your fair share of playing Cops before,
Are You a Shady Cop?
Speaker 10 (08:19):
In this is like my first crooked cop. I've played
so many cops, like, I don't know why played literally
like half of the films I've done I've been a cop.
But uh yeah, so this is the first real cooked cop.
That was an interesting thing. And Jeremy Luke's amazing in it.
He plays the other mob cop, the other cookie cop,
(08:39):
and it's funny because it's not a comedy in any way,
but for us, I'm kind of like his straight man.
I'm the quieter at one other two he's sort of
a loud, boisterous one. So it's fun to sort of
take that approach to my My guy was we have
Bo Didle in the movie. He's a legendary and yeah
(09:00):
and quite a good actor, am.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
Mo.
Speaker 10 (09:04):
Yeah, but we could turn to him because he had
worked with him, he knew him.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
That's wild, all right, guys, hang on quick break. Then
we're gonna have more with David Arkatt and Danny A.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
More fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
Getting back to David Rcatt and Danny A from the
new movie Mob Cops. You're on with Mario Lopez and
you mentioned Bo didle and he was a real life
cop and coincidentally during the same era that the film
takes place, and made the transition, of course, to be
an actor, which reminds me of you Danny, who was
like sort of the king of nightlife and made this
transition to get an entertainment industry. Why are you signing,
(09:36):
I'm saying, that's fascinating. No one, that's like an easy
you know, Hey, I'm a club one minute. You know what,
I think I'm gonna get an acting That usually doesn't happen. Well,
I always wanted to be an actor.
Speaker 8 (09:46):
He's just the club stuff. Was like, I gotta pay.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
Some bills until I become this after, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 8 (09:51):
But no, I started with the So.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
Was that deal?
Speaker 2 (09:54):
Okay? I didn't know. You just woke up one day,
you know what.
Speaker 6 (09:56):
That's good to try the second thing, Okay. So as
a kid, I I went on all these auditions. I
did a couple of music videos, a school play.
Speaker 8 (10:04):
I wanted to be an actor. Realized, you know, it's
not that easy.
Speaker 6 (10:07):
I'm from Brooklyn, New York. I've never really been to Hollywood.
And then I got into the club business and I succeeded,
so I kept staying in it. But the focus is
always like figuring out how I can actually start doing
what I really love doing. And then eventually, slowly I
did a short film and and and a couple of friends,
(10:29):
you know, casting me in the small little roles here
and there, and just got you know, used to being
on set, and decided to make my first film.
Speaker 8 (10:36):
And that's what happened. And now I'm here, good for you,
sitting with you.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
I love that story.
Speaker 8 (10:40):
I went from actor to a club owner.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
He went out.
Speaker 6 (10:44):
He he went from being in the biggest movie of
the year into like running fellow.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
All right, we're gonna have more with David r Ka
and Danny A coming up. The first one music Mario Lopez.
Here got David r Kid and Danny A from the
new movie Mob Cops in the studio and David, I
love that. You got your hands in a lot of
different things, busy acting and wrestling. Yeah, I love it.
What's next? Oh well, the clown as of the clown
(11:15):
that's right, Yeah, you knew that.
Speaker 8 (11:20):
Thank you.
Speaker 10 (11:20):
Yeah, bosos coming back, Happy clowns coming back now scary clowns.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
Now, what do you make of the connotation that most
people are scared.
Speaker 8 (11:29):
Of a lot of people scared of clowns. Yeah, I know,
I know.
Speaker 10 (11:35):
Not scary though scary clowns aren't typically like actually real clowns.
Clowns bring you joy and happiness, make you laugh. But
we do this thing called Bob Baker Day and there's
Poncho who's an amazing uh clown and tattoo artists at
Spotlight Tattoo. And he said to me at the end
of the day, he was like, David, you were a
good clown today. Thanks. It's like, yeah, you made a
(11:59):
lot of kids happy and you scared a few.
Speaker 8 (12:02):
That's what a good clown does.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
Balance.
Speaker 5 (12:05):
Yeah, my god.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
All right, here songs and we'll come back with some more.
Danny A and Davis, David RK and Danny in the
studio talking about their new movie Mob Cops. Mario Lopez
here and Danny, I just want to make sure I
get to this because I just find it fascinating. I
know you recently directed another film called twelve Hours in October,
regarding the events on October seventh. Yeah, in Israel, Man,
(12:30):
I can't wait to see it. How was it being
from Israel? How was it just visiting that content and
telling that story.
Speaker 8 (12:37):
Oh my god.
Speaker 6 (12:38):
So yes, it was very, very difficult to make this film.
I shot in Israel. Lionsgate picked it up, and I
didn't realize how hard it was going to be just
because I wanted to take I wanted to look at it.
Speaker 8 (12:53):
Just as a film and go scene by scene.
Speaker 6 (12:56):
But just you know, when when you have all these
people that went through this, because we shot it in Israel,
so all the actors and all the extras were there
and really experienced it and bringing it all back and
really showing it. It's not a documentary where it's only
the aftermath. We're showing the actual act of what happened
and Reh having to redo it and we create it.
(13:17):
It really was difficult. I mean, we had we had
actors that that got going to panic attacks, and we
had psychiatrists and psychologists on set and really like but
people were really passionate to make sure that we say,
you know, we do it at the at the highest
level and really really do it right. And the movie
came out great. I actually screened it for Lionsgate couple
(13:39):
days ago and they're looking to release it hopefully on
October seven, two.
Speaker 8 (13:43):
Years of the day.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
Oh wow.
Speaker 6 (13:44):
Yeah, and you know, and this movie was made from
passion and love and and even just the raising the
money for you know, I told all my.
Speaker 8 (13:53):
Investors, one of them here, Eli Wise, my buddy. I
explained to the investors.
Speaker 6 (13:59):
I was like, we probably, you know, this movie might
not get a distribution deal. It's a very difficult subject,
you know. And they were like, you know, we're doing
it for the right reasons. We got to make this
film no matter what happens. And then Lionsgate stepped up
and really understood what it was and we're really excited
for the world to see it. It's it's go twelve
hours in October because we really just concentrate on the
(14:20):
first twelve hours from six twenty nine am to six
twenty nine pm and follow what happened at the Nova
and and the Kibboots and Barry.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
I cannot wait to see it. And I think Americans,
to put it in perspective, it would be like, correct
me if I'm wrong, almost like if people came to
Coachella right to the music festivolutely and some things, which
is really just kind of his mind blowing when you
think about it. All Right, one more thing I want
to ask guys quick break, We're gonna come back and
wrap it up with David R. Keatt and Danny A.
Speaker 9 (14:50):
You're the full interview now at on with Mario dot Com.
More Mario Lopez on the way.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
Wrap it up with David R. Kat and Danny A.
You're on Mario Lopez and David. You talked earlier about
playing a cop a lot, and you're gonna be returning
to one of your classic cop characters, Dewey, which is
ironic because he appeared to have died. But in horror films,
I guess anything, anything possible, flashback, flashburn, the week of
the resurrection. So oh is it as?
Speaker 8 (15:20):
I can't really do.
Speaker 10 (15:21):
I discussed the particulars of it, but I got to
work with Kevin Williamson, the writer of the original and
like created this whole universe. So yeah, it was an
honor to work with him.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
Congrats look forward to that. In the meanwhile, we're gonna
be sure to check out Mob Cops with Danny and David.
We also got Kevin Connolly, I know in.
Speaker 6 (15:40):
It, Connzo, Denuc You've got Jeremy Luke, Joey Ruts. I
want to give a shout out to everybody, Layla, so
many great people, Lynn and Grahame Sibley.
Speaker 8 (15:54):
Everyone deserves a big hand.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
Barry Markowitz.
Speaker 8 (16:01):
Know we this movie.
Speaker 6 (16:02):
We're really proud of it, and I think I think
that once people see it and we're really excited because
this is this is a good one.
Speaker 7 (16:09):
You know.
Speaker 6 (16:09):
Sometimes you know, you make a film and you're proud
of it and not a lot of people get to
see it.
Speaker 8 (16:13):
Because this is you know, Grindstone and lines Gate. I
think people are really going to be able to see
it and really find it. It will be fun.

the topics are made upon the spot, but the passion
is real.

IM real?
Speaker 2 (21:03):
Who's pro? Who's con? Today? Who was pro?
Speaker 5 (21:06):
Last time?
Speaker 4 (21:06):
I think Mario was pro and Courtney was con. So
we'll flip it and Courtney will be pro, Mario will
be con. Your topic today which will have fifteen seconds
to make your case. Ten second robuttal afterwards is shooting
a laser in your eye to see the color O
low but what's alllo was a new color science scientist discovered,
but you have to shoot a laser in your eye
to see it.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
Listen. With modern technology nowadays, there is no stopping people.
We are going to see colors that we've never seen before,
and all you have to do is shoot your eye.
You'll shoot your eye.
Speaker 2 (21:41):
This isn't a Christmas story. You never want anything shot
in your eye. And we have seen this color before.
It's called turquoise. People just have too much time on
their hands, and these scientists allow the know.
Speaker 5 (21:53):
No different Argumentez.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
Gosh, No, you want to protect your eyes, hence shades, sunglasses.
Speaker 5 (22:12):
Come on, nobody needs to see olo more.
Speaker 1 (22:15):

Speaker 2 (22:19):

Pete Davison has revealed the uncomfortable amount of costs to
remove his tattoos.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
Whatever was it was a good investment. He had some
of the worst stattoos I've ever seen.
Speaker 3 (22:32):
The it had to have been so uncomfortable it was
all over his body. Plus the amount I don't even
I mean insane. This makes me happy. Teddy Mellencamp is
giving an extremely emotional update on her cancer battle. Things
are looking good her. My heart is aching for her
and her kids, and you can watch Ed Sheeran and
Noah Khan duel in front of a surprise Nashville crowd.

What do you got honey?
Speaker 3 (23:27):
Well, this is from at the Artaga Party of six.
When you realize your kids can pick up three hundred
Easter eggs from the yard in no time at all,
but suddenly their legs are too tired and it takes
them three months to pick up six toys in their room.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
They have incentive with the eggs. There's no incentive to
pick up their toys other than to please their parents.
And who wants to do that? When you're a kid.
Speaker 3 (23:48):
I also piggyback ac for Easter eggs in the back.
If you have dogs that poop in your yard, spray
paint the poop like a bright color and when they're
looking for eggs, they'll pick it up.
Speaker 5 (24:00):
Another piggyback hack.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
If you want the kids to pick up the toys
in the room, tell them there's money hidden under certain toys.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
There you go.
Speaker 5 (24:05):
True, it's a lie, but it'll work.
Speaker 9 (24:08):
