Time to put a spotlight on my wife and get
Courtney's random question.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
What you got honey?
Speaker 4 (00:30):
Okay, if we had to go on a double date
with a celebrity you've never met yet, which is hard
because you've met.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
A sorry limiting the choices, who would you choose?
Speaker 3 (00:40):
Well, honestly, it's pretty hard to think of a celebrity
I haven't met, and that's only because of my job
both here and with Access Daily and Access Hollywood. I'll
just answer it like this. Let's just assume I've met
pretty much everybody, because I name someone I said, pretty
(01:00):
it's pretty cool, unless it's like very new and up,
and yeah, it's it's pretty hard. All your big established stars,
Tom Cruise, George clooney, you've.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
If you didn't interview them, you've at least met them.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
And passed absolute No.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
Absolutely, ironically, he's been in the news a lot, justin Timberlake.
But I thought him his wife Jessica b would be
a fun couple to hang with. I mean, we'll get
an uber driver. We'll get an uber driver in a car. Yeah, exactly.
They seem like a lot of fun. I want to
kick it with Stallone and his wife.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
But you've met Jessica Bill, and you've met I know.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
That's why I said, it's not really I honestly am
racking my brain. Ryan Reynolds would be fun.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
Ryan and Olds, Blake Lively, they could be fun. Baker
be fun. J T and his wife, Jessica Bill Stallone
his wife, What about you, honey?
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Comes cool?
Speaker 4 (01:45):
I love like Vince Vaughn. We sat next to the Vaughn.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
Yeah, we sat next to him.
Speaker 5 (01:49):
That a fight.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
I could kick it with him. I just be forgetting
to call him.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
And he used to be our neighbor before we moved
into this house, and then he moved away, so that sucks. Yes,
But but yeah, I mean, anybody who's funny. I want
to go out with and as a good person.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
I don't want to go out with.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
Serious people because then you're talking about.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
Deep How can I tay something? You know who might
be fun? Just to trip out on Kanye.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
And his wife.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
More Mario Lopez coming up, You're on, Mario Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Let's take a look at what's on TV today.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
Max debuts Chris Miro to talk about Argentina's iconic nineties
cabaret performer.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Ooh, I'm not familiar with this story.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
Said Miro.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
Miro Miro.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
The Fyi Network has Rachel Ray and Tuscany. Rachel Ray
cooks her very own Italian dishes from her Tuscan villa,
using local ingredients from the neighborhood. Oh my mouth is
just salivating.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
Well that sounds like the best show ever. I feel
like she said, I'm going to be here for the summer.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
You'll shoot it. Let's shoot it here.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
Yeah, Mario Courtney Lopez. Tickets go on sale tomorrow for
Sabrina Carpenter's Big Arena tour. Fan club members will have
first go general public can pick them up starting on Friday.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
Sabrina is I think thirty cities this fall, including stops
at Madison Square Garden in New York and the Crypto
dot Com Arena in LA. You can go on with
Mario dot Com for all of the tour day.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
You're on Mario Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
And this Billy Ray Cyrus divorce is getting ugly.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
On with Mario Lopez, Hollywood.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
But so we told you last week that Billy Ray
Cyrus wants an annulment after seven months of marriage, and
now the mussling and has begun fire. Rose is accusing
Cyrus of abandoning her before her double masectomy. She claims
because of the abandonment, it put her in an emotional
in psychological prison. Then Billy Ray fired back, claiming that
(03:37):
she charged up his credit cards behind his back and
isolated him from his family. He says she only married
him for money and never loved him. She says his
marijuana on drug use made him unpredictable and volatile. Wow,
you know, I honestly, obviously I don't know what's going on,
but I gotta imagine the age was a little bit
of a factor because Billy Ray is I believe sixty
(03:58):
one sixty two, and I think she's like thirty five,
and there's like a trend right now, Anthony Keatis, who's
wilding out sixty one with a nineteen year.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Old who looks like younger. That one looks really good.
But shocker to me though.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
Bill Belichick was like in his late sixties with a
twenty four year old flight attendant.
Speaker 4 (04:14):
Right oh, the coach of the Patriot, Yes.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Who looks like a curmudgeon, but he's smiling a lot
right now. You look at all his picks. He's smiling.
By the way, she's twenty four. But they've been going
out for two years.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Okay, so yeah, at some point you're gonna start arguing,
because what do you have in common?
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Poor Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Mario Courtney Lopez. Here, let's take a look at his
trending on the iHeart.
Speaker 4 (04:35):
RADIOA get a behind the scenes look at Kendrick Lamar's
big concert at the Forum. Just search the Breakfast Club
to hear that.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
Wow, that culture was awesome. I've been seeing all kinds
of cliffs on social media. He really made La look
like the capital of hip hop. He did not like us,
like five or six times he was shooting a video,
but he did different versions of it, and he had
Dre come out and say I see dead people, and
then the whole place went but listed it was just oh,
it was poor drake Man catching straights.
Speaker 4 (05:02):
Hannah Einbeinder reveals how she filmed a new stand up
special while filming Hacks. You can find that by searching
Las coot ristas.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
Wow, double duty right there. And she was great on
the last season.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
We both saw it and really liked.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
It because you were in the season, seriously, not just
because I was it. I told her at the end,
I go, wow, that would it? And then the last
episode both of the leads like any worthy performance, lie right?
Speaker 4 (05:25):
No, I second that. And what's funny is kind of
like life imitating art. In the show, she was working
on her own material, right, and she actually was doing
that in real life, so that's pretty cool. An actor
Ryan Guzman tells us why he wants his daughter to
start wrestling. You can check that out by searching on
with Mario Mario Lopez.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
Here, I'm excited to talk to today's guest, DJ Cassidy,
who's putting together an all star throwback at Pop Show
in Vegas. I'd give the wrap back and run for
its money.
Speaker 4 (05:54):
Better bring your suit and tie. We'll find out why
After a few more songs.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
Mariolpe joining me now on Zoom Grammy nominated performer producer
DJ Cassidy.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Welcome to the show man. How are you, Mario? Thank
you for having me.
Speaker 5 (06:07):
You know, I don't know if you remember, but you
were one of the very first people to talk about
Past the Mic four years ago.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
I do remember. I do remember.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
That's cool that you remember, of course. Congratulations man. Speaking
of which, coming to Vegas in July, Past the.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
Mic Live all kinds.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
Of legendary mcs Slick Rick, Dougie, Fresh, Fat, Joe, too
short man. This has taking me back, brother, this is
I gotta check this out.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Tell me about this residency.
Speaker 5 (06:39):
So listen. Past the Mic started four years ago in
my living room when I had an idea to pass
the mic remotely from home to home from legendary hip
hop and R and B icon to legendary hip hop
and R and B Icon. And after three viral episodes,
it became a television series on BET. After ten televisions specials,
(07:00):
it became a live arena tour and now all roads
have led to Las Vegas and this July, I'm bringing
Past the Mic Live to Vegas for an iconic Las
Vegas residency, starring, as you mentioned, Nightly Job Rule, Fat Joe, Slick, Rick,
(07:21):
Dougie Fresh, with rotating special guests Ray Kwan, ghost Face, Killer,
Public Enemy, Akon, Jermaine Dupri, de Brat, Too Short, Warrang
g and so many more. It really is not only
a dream come true, but I think the beginning of
a show that's going to go down in Las Vegas history.
Speaker 3 (07:41):
I absolutely love it and I definitely want to go
check it out in person. All right, I want to
know more of We've got to take a break. I'm
back with DJ Cassidy in just a moment.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
More fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
Mario Lopez here with DJ Cassidy, who's past. The micro
Residency is coming to Vegas.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
So where's it going to be?
Speaker 5 (07:59):
So the Residency at the Back Theater at Planet Hollywood.
Now we have big shoes to fill the Back Theater
formerly the Zappost Theater.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
Yeah, Greg, the home of.
Speaker 5 (08:08):
J Lo's Residency, Gwen Stefani's, Britney's Backstreet and currently Shania Twain.
In fact, the day she loads out, we load in.
So this is you know, it's a big thing. Not
only big for hip hop, but as I said, when
people ask me what's your plan for Vegas, I say,
my plan is to stay. We are highly inspired by
(08:29):
the idea of the rat Pack. You know, the rat
Pack was five superstars right who joined forces to create
a unique ensemble that you could only witness in Vegas
and the crazy thing Mario is. Decades later, the rat
Pack is still highly regarded as the most definitive and
(08:50):
iconic Vegas show of all time. And I wanted to
unite five hip hop artists at its core to create
what Jagule has coined the rap Pack Rap, the rap
Pack nice. And we're bringing back all levels of flights.
You know, we're all moving to Vegas for the month
of July, and we're packing our tuxedos and our cover
(09:12):
buns and our boat ties, and we're bringing back this
old world Las Vegas aesthetic. And we encourage everyone who
buys a ticket to do the same.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
Oh I love it. You get to dress up, You're
like in suit and tie.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
The ladies get to.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
Be all decked down.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
The nines go to allmar dot comference tickets in tour dights,
hang on Cassidy, go play more music.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
What Amaro Lopez?
Speaker 3 (09:32):
You're talking about the Past the Mic residency with DJ Cassidy,
So how's the show going to work? Did these guys
literally pass the mic off to each other or talking
through the setup?
Speaker 5 (09:42):
So Past the Mic live is a very unique musical format.
You know, we've sold that arenas over the past year,
different lineup every night in my dream show, a Radio
City Music Hall last summer for the fiftieth an Versary
of hip Hop. The one thing all the shows have
in common is that they are three hour, continuous musical experiences.
(10:02):
When I hit the stage at eight pm, I don't
leave until eleven pm. There are no announcements, no intermissions,
no pauses, no breaks. We really redefine the art of
continuous musicality, and we also redefine collaboration. It's not as
simple as me passing the mic every fifteen minutes to
a different artist. There are so many unique, interactive, collaborative
(10:27):
moments throughout the whole night. Find that you might have
been to a Ja Rules show, you might have been
to a Fat Joe show, you might have been to
a Public Enemy show, an a con shows, so on
and so forth, but you've never been to a Past
the Mic live show, and if you have, you've never
been to one quite like the Las Vegas residency.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
You got me all hyped right now, allmright dot com
to find tickets and tour dates. Let's play some more music, yall,
mar Lopez, We're happing things up with today's guess. DJ
Cassidy and I know you're up for a Caribbean Music
Award for your song with Shaggy if you like Pina Coladas,
that had that collab come together, So you know.
Speaker 5 (11:03):
I actually met Shaggy when he was one of the
two hundred and twenty hip hop and R and B
icons on the Past the Mikes series, and we hit
it off and became friends, and I've always had a
vision of remaking, reinterpreting the Rupert Holmes classic.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
If you like Pina Coladas, jam.
Speaker 5 (11:23):
It's it's not only my favorite summer song, but it's
just like sounds like Paradise, It transports you to a
paradise like place every time you hear it. And I
brought the idea of to Shaggy once and the rest
is history. Shaggy and ray Von hadn't collaborated since their
big hit Angel, which sold a gajillion copies and this
(11:45):
was their first collaboration since and it took the world
by storm last summer and still is as this. You know,
as the weather starts to heat up. You know, we
remade the movie Weekend at bernie Is in our video.
We have all the original cast. It's epic if you've
never seen the video. So I was really honored and
surprised that I was nominated for a Caribbean Music Award.
(12:05):
Of course, it's my first, and we'll see what happens
in August. But I've already won just to collaborate with
Shaggy and such it. I'm on such an epic song,
so it's already a win.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
Well, congratulations man, and good luck and the upcoming awards,
and good luck with the show. I look forward to
checking it out. Go to on with Mario dot com
to get tickets to pass the mic live Cassie.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
Thanks for hanging out, brother.
Speaker 5 (12:27):
Mario, Thank you for having me, and I must see
you one night in Vegas.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
Yes, is it? It's a whole month of July.
Speaker 5 (12:33):
Yep, it's July five to six, twelve, thirteen, and nineteen twenty.
I plan in Hollywood. I should Mention tickets on sale
now and going fast. And hey, if you come for
a Friday night, stay for Saturday because every night is
a unique experience.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
Okay, definitely going to hit it up. Thanks a lot, Cassie,
Thank you, take Cavra.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
We you're the full interview now at on with Mario
dot Com more Mario Lopez on the way.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
Well, Courtney Lopez, here was some quick buzz.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
Queen is the latest band to make big bucks by
selling their music catalog. Sony is buying their songs for
one point two seven billion dollars.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
WHOA, that's gotta be a record.
Speaker 4 (13:10):
Huh, Well yes, Queen. Well, the guys will still get
to keep any money from their live gigs, so it
sounds like Adam Lambert still has a job, which is.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
Great because he's not participating in that one point twenty
seven billion. All right, let's get back to the music, Mario,
Courtney Lopez, here was some quick buzz for you. Megan
(13:39):
the Stallion has joined the Lallapalooza festival after one of
the headliners had to drop out. Tyler the creator canceled,
saying he made commitments that he can no longer fulfill.
Speaker 4 (13:49):
He created too much. He's also pulling out of the
Outside Lands, which is scheduled a week later in San Franz.
That festival got Sabrina Carpenter to replace him, So they're
getting good people.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
Okay, all right, let's go back to music, y'all.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
Marl Courtney Lopez and Terry Hatcher having bad luck on
the dating apps.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
On with Mario Hollywood was.
Speaker 3 (14:11):
So Terry Atcher, who we both saw recently, is looking
for love at age fifty nine, sounds like the apps
aren't helping her either. She says she was kicked off
Hinge because she wasn't responding to anyone. She says most
guys would message her the same thing, are you still
real and spectacular? A reference to our episode of Seinfeld, Well,
(14:32):
I was a turn off. She says she's given up
on dating for now, but her heart is still open
to connecting with someone.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (14:37):
We both just interviewed her and I asked her about dating,
and she just said she enjoyed spending time with her cat,
and I agree, I mean dogs are great.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
Oh, really, you're happily married? I thought, No, I am.
Speaker 5 (14:51):
I agree?
Speaker 2 (14:51):
Now you said I agree forget you. No, I'm saying
I'm gonna leave you with the dogs this weekend. That's
actually happening. Yeah, yea more.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
Mario Lopez on the way.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
Y'all, Mario Courtney Lopez, Todda Blahut the candles. On today's

Speaker 2 (15:08):
What do we got? Friday Night Lights and Parenthood?
Speaker 6 (15:10):
Minka Kelly thirty nine, forty one, forty four, forty four,
Mindy Kaling from the Office The Mindy Projects forty five,
forty three, forty five is cracked Ay and Peter Weller
the original RoboCop?
Speaker 2 (15:28):
Did you do anything else?
Speaker 1 (15:30):
God?
Speaker 4 (15:30):
You said the original movies older sixty seven?
Speaker 2 (15:35):
That's pretty good. So I was gonna guess sixty eight
seventy seven. Wow, it looks great.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
Four Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
Coming up, Mario Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
Here, what obscure holiday are we celebrating for?
Speaker 2 (15:46):
June twenty fourth?
Speaker 4 (15:47):
It is National Preleeen's Day or Prolins?
Speaker 2 (15:50):
It could be a probleen or proline. I believe what
is never heard? Prolin? What is it?
Speaker 1 (15:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (15:54):
Prolin?
Speaker 4 (15:55):
Do you hear you ever heard Prolin? I feel like
I've heard pro said I what's your favorite snack? Probably
you'd be like, what the hell it's like?
Speaker 2 (16:05):
Tomato? Tomato? I believe no one says we're gonna look
it up. Okay, what is a prowling?
Speaker 4 (16:10):
Or I don't know what a probeen is?
Speaker 2 (16:12):
I believe it's a nut? Hold On? Is it a nut?
And how do you pronounce it? Hold On? It sounds
like you're a nut Prolleen, Thank you. She doesn't know,
they don't.
Speaker 3 (16:23):
That's exactly it. She knows exactly how to pronounce it.
And you were all cocky about it.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
You say you're.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
Right, Maybe right, honey, maybe maybe she single say you're right, honey.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
Oh you won't admit it. You're right, No, you are right.
Speaker 4 (16:35):
I still don't know what a probeing is and no
one else does.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
Not a nut, isn't it? See think? Damn you know what?
Mario Courtney Lopez.

Oh, Mario Courtney Lopez, time for your comments. What is
in our mentions today?
Speaker 5 (17:09):
Honey?
Speaker 4 (17:09):
This is from at Bronze West and they said, I
love your relationship hack, Mario. How much holy water do
I need for it to work on my three year
old daughter?
Speaker 3 (17:18):
Bronze West is referring to a video that I didn't
think was gonna really be popular, but it seems to
have been a big hit.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
And it was funny.
Speaker 3 (17:28):
My wife was sleeping and I was I was sprinkling
holy water on her, doing a side of the cross,
and the caption said, blessing my wife, hoping that she
wakes up in a good mood.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
Woke up, thought I peed. Weren't you in a good mood?
Speaker 1 (17:39):
Though?
Speaker 3 (17:39):
She was no, because I thought I peeed, She thought
she paid, She thought she These days, as you get older,
it's hard to really wake up in a good mood
unless you get to sleep in.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
But it did work, and yeah, prayers up more. Mario
Lopez on the way, Mario Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
Their first look at Colin Farrell's news series The Penguin
takes place right after the events of Pattinson's The Batman.
Speaker 4 (18:02):
By the way, his sequel has now been delayed until
October of twenty twenty six. Oh yeah, so the Penguin
comes to Max this fall. But you can see the
trailer now at all with Mario dot Com.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
Mario Lopez here with my wife Courtney and Ben Affleck
is talking about all the memes that go viral online,
and he says he always looks miserable in photos because
he hates having his picture taken.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
Well you can tell.
Speaker 4 (18:25):
So whatever he sees someone in public with the camera,
it bums him out.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
He says.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
Family members love to bus his chops over the photos
and are always sending him the latest meme.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
He should like, turn.
Speaker 4 (18:36):
The tables and be exactly it, overly excited and happy.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
Yeh, start clicking his heels, throw them for loop cheryld
Mario Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
Time now for one last thing.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
We didn't talk about it last week, but Hollywood is
still mourning the loss of legendary actor Donald Sutherland.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
Great actor.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
His acting career spans seven decades, for movies like Animal
House in the seventies to The Hunger Games.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
He won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for Citizen X.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
In ninety five, and another one for Path the War
in two thousand and two, and an honorary Oscar in
twenty seventeen. He was eighty eight years old, and of
course the father of Keifer Sutherland, who is himself a
good actor. We were talking a while back about nepotism,
and oh, we didn't mention him. We didn't mention hi,
(19:22):
because Keifer Sutherland is a solid actor and his father
was a really good actor.
Speaker 2 (19:27):
But a full life, a great life.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
More Mario Lopez.
Speaker 3 (19:31):
Coming up, all right, time for us to punch out,
But we're back tomorrow a comedian tignateur.
Speaker 4 (19:37):
Plus a new life act in Courtney's corner. Until then,
this is Mario and Courtney Lopez saying good night
Speaker 1 (19:43):
With Mario Lopez
