Yes, So we you know, Colby and I have been
friends for obviously a number of years now. Came up
around the same time, and she know, she has her
own career obviously at my own, but we you know,
we as soon as we met, we felt like we
made good music together.
Speaker 6 (04:42):
And we started writing together and released a few songs together.
Speaker 9 (04:45):
And our most recent thing is a Christmas tune that
we're putting out Let It Snow, and then we're going
to do the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade together as well.
Speaker 6 (04:56):
It'll be a great opportunity for us to have some
fun and do something really cool and traditional, you know America.

Happy holidays to you and yours. This is on with
Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
We'll be right back catching up with Coby Callay and
Gavin de garl this hour. Mario Lopez, you're both taking
part in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. So let me ask,
what's the coldest you've ever performed in? Because I've done
the Macy's a couple of times and it's a cold one.
I always think about the performers because you know, they
get you out there early and it's we're talking like
ten degrees sometimes and to be singing in that, is
(05:32):
that the coldest? Or do you what's the coldest you've
ever remember performing outside?
Speaker 6 (05:36):
What about you? I think I sang in Norway at the.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
Novel that sounds free damn cold. That was very, very cold.
Speaker 8 (05:43):
But I say the Thanksgiving Day parade is next.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Wow cold, that's cold for me.
Speaker 7 (05:48):
It was.
Speaker 6 (05:49):
It was a New Year's Day.
Speaker 9 (05:50):
I played the the Winter Classic and I think we're
in Chicago. It was January one, soup early, Oh my god, no, No,
that's next level.
Speaker 6 (06:04):
This so rough, bad hangover.
Speaker 9 (06:07):
I mean, so many things happening at once, you know,
I couldn't feel the piano because my fingers FROATN.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
I can't even exactly Chicago and January, you kid even know,
it doesn't get cold, and we're.
Speaker 8 (06:17):
Gonna have little heat warmers and we'll have coats on,
and its like right until we perform. I think we'd
like take our coats off and brave the cold.
Speaker 6 (06:25):
Maybe, oh, you're gonna do that.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
Maybe I love that Gavin just found out about the
heat warmers.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
Yeah, yeah, you're gonna be fine. You're gonna be fine.
If you can handle Chicago, You're good. All right, Hank time,
we're gonna have more with Kobe and Gavin coming up
the First War music. Getting back to Kobe Calay and
Gavin de graz who were hanging out on Zoom, Orio
Lopez here and Colby. I know you released a new
album about two months ago now called This Time Around,
and you reimagine a bunch of a bunch of your
songs with a lot of country artists. What inspired you
(06:52):
to to kind of take that approach? You know, I
wanted to redo a lot of my old songs.
Speaker 8 (06:56):
I feel like I sing them differently now at this age,
at this time in my life, if I love country
music now, like certain elements of it especially, and I
wanted to make it a duet project, which this guy
is also on it.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
We did a cover of.
Speaker 8 (07:08):
Post Malone Circles, which we do to get applied to.
It's really fun. That's we recorded it here in Nashville,
and yeah, it's it's been a fun fall recording that record.
Speaker 6 (07:19):
And it's a beautiful record. It is Christmas song, beautiful record.
Speaker 2 (07:24):

hanging out on Zoom with us and Gavin, I know
you just announced your heading out on tour next summer.

the noontime because that's the right time for me.

Wow, because I'm a night owl. I can't turn it off.
I don't know why.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
Uh.
Speaker 9 (07:49):
And then I'll drink about an eight ball's worth of
coffee and then just get you know, just get wired.
Speaker 6 (07:57):
And then I'll go to occasionally sound check, make sure.
Speaker 9 (08:00):
That I remember all the words and uh, and then
I'll go disagree with my dog because my wherever he is,
my dog is uh, you know, pretty pretty needy, and
you know, he starts rattling around on stage and he'll
he'll he'll start disturbing the peace.
