Speaker 2 (00:23):
Jo Mario, Courtney Lopez and an iconic director, maybe calling
it a career.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
On with Mario Lopez Hollywood.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
But David Lynch one of the most acclaimed American filmmakers.
He created the TV show Twin Peaks and received Oscar
nominations for The Elephant Man, Great Great Movie, Blue Velvet,
and Mulholland Drive. But he may never get behind the
camera again. He's revealed that a life of smoking has
caused emphysema and he can't leave the house. Oh. He says,
(00:50):
he can only walk a short distance before he loses
his breath. He still has a screenplay called Antelope, Don't
Run No More that he hopes makes it to the
big screen. He also has an animated film he made
called snow World, but it was just rejected by Netflix.
Oh man, he's one of the great filmmakers of our time.
That must be a lot of smoking. If he can't
(01:13):
even leave the house and he has a hard time breathing,
that is that is an ad right there. You know,
it was part of the culture in the seventies eighties.
People just smoked all day. I had some friends that
before they even got out of bed, they would smoke.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
I when I see people smoking at like on the
way to school, I'm like, how are you.
Speaker 5 (01:35):
Doing that right now?
Speaker 6 (01:36):
Man?
Speaker 2 (01:37):
It's rough. Well, but let this be a wake up
quo exactly and a lesson more.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Mario Lopez coming up, Mario Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
He r iHeart Radio, the official audio partner of the
twenty twenty four Olympics. We've got two channels devoted to
twenty four hour coverage and if you're looking for something
to listen to tonight, we got the men's quarterfinal handball
and both men and women's table tennis quarterfinals.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
Just open the iHeartRadio app and you'll find our Olympic
channels at the top of the homepage.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
You're on Mario Courtney Lopez. Let's take a look at
what's on TV today.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
A Netflix debuts the Influencer reality competition. We're seventy seven.
Seventy seven elite influencers flaunt their skills to draw the
most attention.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
I feel seventy seven. Well, here's the thing about influencers.
I feel it's all subjective, right because I see some
of the things that influence our boys what they watch,
and I'll just say no comment on some of the
content right there. So it's all very objective.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
Hulu premieres at wits end a Hunt for a Killer,
a four part doc about a new tip that could
crack a thirty year case.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
Oh we need a new doc. This is going on
the sink right here too.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
Paramount Plus has PD True learn about the biggest cases
of our time, as told by the police officers who
work them.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
We're watching the show that's similar on Netflix right now,
called La Confidential, where it's all about the La County Sheriff. No,
it's not called yeah, it's all confidential.
Speaker 5 (03:01):
It's called Homicide.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Well, no La co then homicide. Let Sally. Because they
do New York, they cover different cities. Now they're in
La and they specifically are dealing with the La County Sheriffs,
which is the largest sheriff's department in the country, and
La County is the biggest county in the country, and
it's they'll cover from like the poorest areas to the
(03:25):
most affluent areas the county outside. And it's pretty interesting
because you think LAPD, but really the Sheriff's department has
much more jurisdiction and resources. Go mar Courney Lopez Time
learn New Live Act. What is the topic today at
Courtney's Corner? Zippers?
Speaker 4 (03:42):
While we know they get stuck a lot and if
you tug too hard you could ruin your blouse your jacket. Well,
next time, take some chapstick or even a candle with
the wax, rub it on the teeth of the zipper,
and if you're worried about getting oil on the fabric,
you can use the graphic tip of a pencil and
it should provide enough lubrication to free the zipper.
Speaker 6 (04:03):
What's happening?
Speaker 2 (04:04):
I did not know this. It's the worst when it
comes off the little grid and you can't get it
kind of back on. Yeah, okay, I'm gonna try this.
Speaker 4 (04:11):
That's called free zipper more.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Mario Lopez coming up, Mario Cortley Lopez here, and we
find something to celebrate every single day. What are we
celebrating today, honey?
Speaker 4 (04:21):
It is National Gossip Day.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
You know, I'm hesitating to celebrate this because I don't
think it's a good idea to gossip. Now, if you're
with your significant other or very very close friend where
you know it's just gonna stay between you two, then
you all can can kind of go at it, But
to kind of spread the gossip gospel, I'm not about that.
(04:44):
I think that just gets you into trouble. Mario Lopez here.
Today's guests will be zooming at any moment. Now it's
Harry Conna Junior. His new brom coms getting a lot
of buzz on Netflix. It's called Find Me Falling. We're
gonna get the inside scoop for a few more songs.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Bro.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
Mario Lopez joining me now on zoom from the Netflix
movie Find Me Falling. Mister Harry Cottig Junior, Welcome to
the show, buddy, how you ben Good's happening? I'm good.
I'm good. Always. Nice to see you, big fan of yours.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
You.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
I always tell everybody because I've been in New Orleans
a few times, but the most one I had is
when I got to be in your parade out there
for Marty Graus. That's some next level stuff. I can't
believe every year you take me like a month to recuperate.
After that, you're still doing that, right.
Speaker 6 (05:30):
Oh yeah, so we started it. We'll see.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
It's been over thirty years now, and I've missed a
couple of years just because of schedules. And I got
to tell you, as much as I miss being there,
it does take a lot out of you. So you know,
I make it most of those years off, but it
doesn't happen a lot.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
I vet. Oh, that's awesome and I love it with
all the family and everyone. Well, congratulations on the movie,
currently one of the biggest on Netflix. For those who
may not be familiar, explain the premise.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
Well, the film is called Find Me Falling, and it's
about this guy.
Speaker 6 (06:03):
I play a guy named John Allman who is kind
of a washed up, one hit wonder kind of guy
from like the.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
Early nineties, and he had this massive hit and he
made a bunch of bad decisions and decides he's gonna
sort of get out of the rat race and move
as far away from the scene as he can. So
he goes to the Mediterranean island of Cyprus, and he
buys a house on this remote cliff, and very soon
after he gets there, he realizes that the cliff has
(06:31):
a notorious reputation. And the story sort of begins there
and it's all about him sort of reconnecting with people
from his past, and there's a bunch of you know,
plot twists, and he runs into people that he didn't
think he'd see there, and it's just it's a rhym com,
but it's got some serious parts to it. It's got
(06:53):
some music in it because I'm playing this this guy
who was this rock and roller, so I.
Speaker 6 (06:58):
Get to, you know, sing some tunes.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
It was just a great experience, really great experience.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
That sounds right in your element right there. Find Me
Falling and streaming now on Netflix whole time. We gotta
take a little break. We're gonna have more with Harry
Konnick in just a moment.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
More. Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
Mario Lopez here talking about the movie Find Me Falling
with Harry Connick Junior. Now, you play a musician in
the film. Did you get to sing original music or
I did so.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
I wrote one song, which was the hit song that
he had back in the nineties, and then the title
of the movie was actually changed to a song that
I wrote to the character called find Me Falling. So
you know that was nice that that that that worked out.
Speaker 6 (07:39):
But so I sang two tunes or three? Really, that's work?
He considered happy Birthday?
Speaker 2 (07:44):
Hey, that that counts. That's legit, did you well?
Speaker 3 (07:47):
I had to sing it in Greek, which was not fun.
So wait, that was a lot more than they of them.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
How does that sound? How's your Greek?
Speaker 1 (07:53):
Not good?
Speaker 6 (07:54):
What is it?
Speaker 2 (07:55):
You don't have to sing it? But what is it?
Speaker 5 (07:56):
How does it?
Speaker 2 (07:56):
How do you say?
Speaker 6 (07:57):
No, I couldn't have if you if you asked me to,
I couldn't do it. No, it's awful. It's like I mean,
it's this beautiful ancient language, but awful.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
Right, that's fuddy. Did you get to film in Cyprus?
Speaker 6 (08:09):
We did.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
We were there for about two months, so it was
it was an incredible experience.
Speaker 6 (08:13):
It's a place that I didn't.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
Know a lot about, and the people that I know
don't know a lot about it either, So it was
a great chance to kind of learn about the history
of this place. It's a it's a magnificent, magnificent part
of the world.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
Well, the movie's called Find Me Falling. Hold on, Harry
gotta play some more music. Maria Lopez Here, My guess
is Harry Conig Junior from the Netflix film Find Me Falling,
And I see your character supporting a lot of ink.
Is any of that real?
Speaker 6 (08:38):
No?
Speaker 1 (08:38):
Man?
Speaker 6 (08:38):
You know, I was really feeling it when I was
wearing the ink because it just, you know, it was
it was cool. I felt very cool when so I
was kind of.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
Sad to watch it kind of fade off, but you know, progressively,
as I showered after the movie wrapped, I was.
Speaker 6 (08:51):
Kind of thinking, you know, maybe this might be my thing.
But my wife Jill was like, nah, that's not gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
So now you're a good maybe I might get one
and I have to not have to pray for you.
Then after that, yeah, baby, looll.
Speaker 6 (09:04):
Get up, you know, come on, I just want something small.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
All right, Well, you can watch Fighting Me Falling on Netflix.
Heaying ted, Harry got to play a little more music.
You're a Mario Lopez. I got Harry Connick Jr. On
Zoom with me and what about music? I know you
were just at the Hollywood Bowl, one of my favorite venues.

three nights over the July fourth weekend. There's a lot
more stuff coming up.

But it was very It was a little depressing where
because they're just calling back, seem kind of complaining about
being called brat pack, right, yeah, and they weren't all
