Speaker 2 (04:17):
Uh, it's wipes. They want to get to the point
it's wipes for men, wipes men? You get it mint
scented by the way, or they're unscensed versions. Somebody sent
me a bunch of memes like, honey, what's wrong you
barely touched here? Mario Lopez wipes for men. I gotta
I gotta post it. It's I've I've actually used them,
so I can. I mean without me saying they're good.
I find they're good, but other people are telling me

Speaker 2 (06:43):
You're a couple of years away from hitting the fifth level.
You you embracing it? How are you feeling about that?
Speaker 5 (06:49):
I'm just trying to roll into it, just on top,
you know what I'm saying. Career ripping, family, solid life good.
That's how I'm trying to roll into that space in
my life.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
You know, Hey, you got the priorities stray. Good for you. Well,
I want to talk about your new collab with Carrie Underwood,
but first we got to place more music. John Mario Lopez.
My guest today is Jacobi Shattigs from the band Papa Roach.
Now I did see this collab coming Papa Roach and
Carrie Underwood. It's for the new version of Leave a
Light On. How did how'd that team up happened?
Speaker 4 (07:21):
So?
Speaker 5 (07:22):
I was listening to Sirius XM Octane and she was
doing an interview on off Taine with this guy Jose
and he's like a metalhead, right, and she was talking about,
you know, her love for rock and metal music, and
she brought up popa Roach and somebody had texted me
She's like, did you see this interview?
Speaker 4 (07:39):
And I was like, oh, snap, what's up. Carrie's a fan.
That's dope.
Speaker 5 (07:43):
And so we had a show in Nashville and I
invited her and her husband out to the show.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
She came out to the show, loved the show.
Speaker 5 (07:50):
And then the wife and I were in Vegas and
we checked out one of her residencies and we rolled
out to her show and we just hit it off
and became friends.
Speaker 4 (07:58):
And then you know, one thing least another, and then
we had this song and we hit her up.
Speaker 5 (08:02):
We're like, hey, we got this song and we've always
envisioned it with a with a female vocal on it.
A duet and she was all about it, and so
it's just such a cool way that it came together
and organically, you know what I'm saying. It wasn't set
up by the powers that.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
Be right, right, Yeah, you're just fans of each other.
That's cool. That's the best way right there.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
Yeah, man, And yeah, she's just such a great vocalist.
It was awesome.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
Well, you can hear the new version of Leave the
Light On on iHeartRadio or wherever you get new music.

one point?
Speaker 1 (08:48):

Speaker 4 (08:48):
Man, that would be a dream, that was It would
be cool. We did.
Speaker 5 (08:52):
We actually sang the song together a few times in
the studio after she got done cutting her vocal. We
did like some tiktoks and stuff like that, and she's like, so,
what's up. We sing this thing?
Speaker 4 (09:01):
Together, and I'm like, all right, here we go.
Speaker 5 (09:04):
So this rock dude, and yeah, yeah, she's a super polished,
like amazing vocalist, and uh we started singing live in
the room together.
Speaker 4 (09:14):
And it was a vibe. It was it was cool, man.
So I gently loved to one stage. Put this on
stage for sure.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
Yeah, that'd be great man. Well, hold on a second, Jacob,
you got to play some more music. What el Mario
Lopez here? I got Jakobe Shaddocks from Pop a roach
on zoom with me, and I know you just appeared
on Celebrity Family Feud and I've done that show man.
It's it's funny because it's one of those things you're
watch it on TV and you're like, she got the ensen.
Speaker 5 (09:38):
You're there. You're like.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
Sometimes at least with me through a monkey wrench.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
But you went up.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Against Daughtry, right, yeah and his family. How did you
feel about the whole experience?
Speaker 1 (09:52):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (09:52):
I thought it was dope, man, It was a good experience.
I've been I've been good friends with Daughtry for a
hot minute, and uh, you know, just he's a good dude.
And their team hit us up there like, hey, you
want to do celebrity family few and I'm like, oh
my god, we've made it.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
We made it.
Speaker 5 (10:05):
I'm onety family cute and like you said, it's like
you're gotta go hit that button.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
You're like, oh gosh, like performance anxiety. Yeah, all right,
so you.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
Start overthinking because you start overthinking everything.
Speaker 5 (10:18):
Absolutely, and some of the answers some of us were given,
We're just totally We're looking at each other like.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
You do.
Speaker 4 (10:26):
So it was a good time.
Speaker 5 (10:27):
We got to raise a bunch of money for the
American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. That was the you know,
that was the main reason why we were going to
do this nice and so yeah, man, doing it for
a cause.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
Good for you, man, good for you. Well, hang time,
we're gonna play some more music. Y' al Mario Lopez
hanging out with Jacobe Shaddocks from the band Poper Roach.
I can't believe this, but we're coming up on twenty
five years since your big hit, last Resort. When was
the moment you think you realize you're like, oh damn,
this song's blowing up.
Speaker 4 (10:54):
I tell you.
Speaker 5 (10:55):
We were in our van on our way to uh
start up the Warp tour, and we heard our.
Speaker 4 (11:03):
Song and we were like, oh my god, there's tripping.
I can't believe it's on the radio.
Speaker 5 (11:06):
Where we start doing the Warp tour and they moved
us from like the third stage to the second stage
to the main stage within like a week of performing
on this tour. And so, you know, going from this
garage band to then sharing the stage next to Green
Day and Weezer and all these iconic punk rock bands,
and uh, you know, then I found myself on TRL
(11:28):
and it just it just was. It was a wild
rocket ride to the top. Man, it was a trip.
It was a blur at times.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
I'm vet, I vet man, that time flies by. I
can't believe it's been that long, right there?
Speaker 4 (11:39):
Yeah, for real, man, it still comes on the radio
all the time. Classic you know.
Speaker 2 (11:43):

one year old as well, and then I got a
ten year old.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
Okay, damn what.
Speaker 4 (12:13):
Two boys in college and then a younger boy.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
What are they end?
Speaker 5 (12:17):
Two?
Speaker 1 (12:18):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (12:18):
So my older sons are they're both college lacrosse players.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
Oh that's cool.
Speaker 5 (12:22):
Yeah, they played sports all the way through. They go
to a school called sant Ambrose University in Iowa, Okay.
And yeah, man, my older son just finished up his
last year at college lacrosse last year and he ripped it. Man,
he had a good season. He's got two conference champs
under his belt, you know. So, and I'm a super
fan and so I'm rolling to the game supporting and
stuff like that. And the best Jagger, my second born,
(12:43):
he's a lacrosse player too. He's also a rapper, you know.
Speaker 4 (12:47):
So it's like he's.
Speaker 5 (12:48):
He plays drums as well. And then my youngest, Brixton,
he's all into music and he's he's got a YouTube
page and he's super creative and loves cooking.

wherever you get new music. Jacoby, thanks for hanging out.
Speaker 4 (13:22):
Hey dude, great to see you. Man, Thanks for having me.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
You got it, brother, Take care, I'm my piece. What
am Mario Lopez? Here was some quick buzz for you.
We're getting a movie about the first season of Saturday
Night Live. Wow. It's called Saturday Night and it's directed
by Jason Redeman. Actor Gabriel LaBelle from The Fable Men's
is going to play Lauren Michaels and that's hit in
theaters on October eleventh, the same day SNL launches its
(13:47):
fiftieth season.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
And only do one watch SNL's premiere or the movie.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
That's some pretty good timing right there. All right, let's
get back to the music. You're a Mario Lopez and
Jonathan Majors is sad he's been cut from the MCU.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
On with Mario Hollywood was so.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
Jonathan Majors was supposed to be the big villain for
the next few years of Marvel movies, but unfortunately, after
his legal issues, Marvel is pivoting away from King the
Conqueror and bringing on Robert Downey Junior as Doctor Doom.
Jonathan says he obviously is heartbroken about the decision, but
also noted that actors including Downey and Flashedtar Ezra Miller,
(14:26):
both received second chances in Hollywood. You know, that's a
pretty valid point He's got there.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
I mean, I don't know that Ezra Miller is out
of trouble yet.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
But Ezra Miller was allowed to continue filming, and he
released his movie.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
And he did go to the premiere of it, and
it was.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
A series of events with Ezra Miller and Robert Downey Junior.
It was also a series of events.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Has been a decade of events.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
You're right, there was some time though that went by
a significant amount of time before Marvel he was down
and outs working correct. But the Ezra Miller thing, I
think is a much more fair comparison. And you know,
when you stop and think about it like that, I
again I feel it's a valid point, and it is
unfortunate because he and I'm trying to think of another example,
(15:14):
He's probably the actor that ascended so quickly and then
everything came crashing down just as.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
Quick more Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
Mario Lopez. Here was some quick buzz for you. Jenny
Jwow Farley making the jump from reality TV to movie director.

the camera for a horror.

Speaker 2 (15:37):

to try and find a missing girl. Unfortunately, it's only
a one way trip.

Spoilerler good for uh jay Wow.
Speaker 2 (15:46):

What now, Mario Lopez.
Speaker 3 (15:52):

huge bang. He's planning to pull off a giant stunt
during the closing ceremony. I don't know, I have laughing stuff.
Cruz crazy word is he's gonna repel from the roof
of the Paris Stadium, land in the middle of the field,
where he'll take the Olympic flag. Then he's gonna fly
to La where he'll skydive with the flag onto the
(16:36):
Hollywood Sign. They already filmed the second part a few
months back.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
I was gonna say, good luck getting through TSA with that.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
That's kind of cool. I gotta say that's pretty cool,
because of course the Olympics are going to be here
next time out. Who better to represent America than Tom
Cruise on Hollywood Sideez alright, I'm out of here, but
